本研究于2021年3~9月,采用目标观察和全事件记录法,对广西防城港市钦州湾八路水湿地黑翅长脚鹬(Himantopus himantopus)的繁殖习性进行全过程观察记录。黑翅长脚鹬的栖息生境主要在盐田、虾塘和鱼塘,而巢主要分布在盐田生境。共发现39巢,雌雄共同营巢,按照主要巢材将其巢分为干草巢、碎石巢、泥皮巢和牛毛毡草巢4种;巢材包括禾本科(Gramineae)和莎草科(Cyperaceae)植物以及碎石、贝壳等;巢外径为(23.3±10.7)cm,巢内径为(11.2±1.9)cm,巢深为(1.6±0.5)cm,巢高为(6.5±4.3)cm(n=39);筑巢需(3±2)d(n=6)。窝卵数2~4枚,1~2 d产1枚卵,7 d内产完满窝卵(n=6)。雌雄均参与孵卵,雄性孵卵时间比雌性长,但二者差异不显著(P> 0.05),雄性(8 550±245.9)min,雌性(7 530±263.3)min,孵卵期为(25±2)d(n=6)。育雏期(26±3)d(n=6),雌雄轮流育雏,育雏前、中期(雏鸟1~20d日龄),雌性育雏时间比雄性长,是雄性的2倍,育雏后期(雏鸟大于20 d日龄),...  相似文献

河南新乡黄河湿地鸟类国家级自然保护区是我国候鸟迁徙中线的必经之路,鸟类物种丰富。目前,该湿地的人为干扰现象日益突出,对鸟类栖息和繁殖造成了影响。苍鹭Ardea cinerea是该湿地鸟类的重要代表,其繁殖活动与栖息环境密切相关。为了解干扰鸟类繁殖的主要因素、有效管理保护区、维持湿地的鸟类多样性,于2017年5—8月,采用GPS定位、样方调查等方法对保护区陈桥东湖苍鹭繁殖地内的巢特征、巢址区和对照区生态因子进行了调查。研究结果表明:苍鹭筑巢位置对芦苇phragmites australis丛有极高的偏爱;巢材主要是芦苇;巢口向上呈浅盘状,巢内径、巢外径、巢高、巢深分别为(39.00±3.28)cm、(79.10±15.39)cm、(31.00±19.80)cm和(5.00±1.43)cm。对比苍鹭巢址区与对照区生态因子发现,巢址区植被密度、植被高度和植被盖度显著低于对照区(P0.05);水深、巢距人为活动不频繁地距离和巢距人为活动频繁地距离显著高于对照区(P0.05)。采用AIC信息准则法对可能影响苍鹭巢址选择的生态因子进行Logistic回归分析,结果发现,植被状态和干扰因子是制约苍鹭巢址选择的关键因素。建议通过采取适当扩大水域面积及水生植物面积、封锁湿地中的道路、定期蓄水、处理好湿地保护与旅游开发之间的关系等措施来改善苍鹭等鸟类的栖息环境,保护保护区鸟类多样性。  相似文献

20 0 2年 5月~ 2 0 0 4年 8月 ,在湖北省巴东县沿渡河镇的东圩口、小溪、锯锯湾、两河口等 4个村 ,对寿带鸟 (Terpsiphoneparadisiincei)的繁殖生态进行了初步研究。研究结果显示 ,寿带鸟在湖北巴东的繁殖时间为 5月下旬~ 7月上旬 ,主要在农田居民区附近的阔叶树上营巢 ,巢材主要有青苔、草叶、草茎、细草根、棕丝、树耳、蜘蛛网等。筑巢工作主要由雌鸟承担 ,一般需要 5~ 7d即可完成。巢距离地面高度1 72~ 6 45m ,巢外径 6 0~ 8 8cm ,巢内径 4 9~ 6 4cm ,巢深 2 9~ 4 1cm ,巢高 6 3~ 9 5cm。雌鸟每天产 1枚卵 ,产卵时间均在清晨。窝卵数 4枚 (n =1 1 ) ,卵产齐后即开始孵化 ,雌雄鸟轮流孵卵 ,孵化期 1 3d。雏鸟晚成性 ,雌雄共同育雏 ,育雏期 9d。寿带鸟对不同的外界干扰反应明显不同 ,当有对其卵和雏鸟构成威胁的动物接近时 ,护巢行为表现十分强烈 ;而对其没有威胁的物种接近其巢时则无动于衷。面对同样的干扰 ,雌雄亲鸟的反应存在显著差异。  相似文献

2007年3~7月,我们在陕西省洋县华阳镇对野化放飞朱鹮(Nipponia nippon)个体进行监测的过程中,发现3对朱鹮在同一棵树上集群营巢(communal breeding),并繁殖成功。这是自1981年野生朱鹮种群重新发现以来,首次记录到朱鹮集群营巢的现象。3对朱鹮营巢的地点位于洋县华阳镇中学附近,经纬度为107°54′204E,33°59′670N,海拔1113m。营巢树种为油松,树高25m,胸径82cm,据当地村民说已有近百年树龄。3巢的详细信息见表1。表1朱鹮集群繁殖信息巢编号亲鸟环号雄鸟♂雌鸟♀巢高(m)产卵数(枚)出壳数(只)出飞数(只)1红色09红色10162222红色06无环14222…  相似文献

2001年4-9月在合肥市对绿鹭(Butorides striatus)的繁殖习性进行了观察。绿鹭营巢生境主要选择在建筑物附近的高大阔叶树上,常一树一巢,未见与其他鹭类混群营巢。每巢产3-5枚卵,孵卵期21d,育雏期41d,42日龄后幼鸟离巢飞走,出飞存活率62.5%。育雏期雏鸟主要食物为小型鱼类。在4所大学校园及1处公园统计到有效巢56个,推算绿鹭224只。绿鹭在合肥繁殖属首次记录。  相似文献

在2002~2004年的6-7月,每天观察扬子鳄的营巢行为,记录天气状况,得出扬子鳄的营巢时间受天气的影响,巢材湿度会影响鳄的产卵时间;在6月下旬末大雨天后,连续2~3天气温能保持在26~35℃时,鳄就会产卵;在整个产卵期巢受到严重破坏时,鳄不会产卵。  相似文献

1998年 4月中旬~ 7月中旬 ,对分布于新疆木垒的波斑鸨 (Chlamydotisundulatamacqueenii)种群的营巢成功率进行了初步考察与研究。考察中共发现 16个巢、2 5窝幼雏。每巢产卵 3~ 6枚 ,卵鲜重 (6 4 7± 5 8)g ,卵径为 6 0 9mm× 43 9mm。产卵有两个高峰期 ,表明雌鸟第 1次繁殖失败后可再次产卵。第 1产卵期的巢卵数为(4 1± 0 8)枚 ,第 2产卵期的巢卵数为 (3 5± 0 6 )枚。雌鸟营巢成功率为 77 5 %~ 87 5 % ,卵的孵化率为83 6 %。每窝内从破壳到具备飞行能力的幼雏数基本不变 ,表明繁殖雌鸟大都能将幼雏全部抚育到可以飞行的年龄  相似文献

20 0 3年 4~ 7月 ,在四川省瓦屋山自然保护区对金色林鸲 (Tarsigerchrysaeus)的繁殖生态和孵卵节律进行了较为深入的研究。金色林鸲营巢期从 4月下旬~ 6月中旬 ,孵卵期一般为 1 6~ 1 7d,育雏期为1 6d。窝卵数一般为 3~ 4枚 ,平均为 (3 . 75± 0. 45 )枚 (n =1 2 ) ,孵化率为 60 0 % ,育雏成功率为 85 2 %。仅雌鸟孵卵 ,根据对 3巢的监测 ,发现雌鸟早晨 6:0 0时左右首次离巢 ,晚上 2 0 :0 0时左右回到巢中 ,每天出巢次数 1 8~ 1 9次。孵卵雌鸟每次出巢时间一般少于 2 0min ,异常离巢时最长达到 65 6min。雌鸟出巢时间的长度和环境温度呈明显的正相关 (Spearman,r=0 . 1 1 8,P =0 . 0 0 7,n =5 3 1 )。金色林鸲雄鸟存在羽毛延迟成熟现象 ,亚成体雄鸟可以繁殖。  相似文献

城市化对杭州市鸟类营巢集团的影响   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
为了了解城市化对鸟类营巢集团的影响,2007年3月至2007年8月,沿城市化梯度在杭州地区的城区、城乡结合区、农田区、农林交错区和自然林区等类型栖息地内设置3 000 m长、100 m宽的样线各18条,共计90条;并对其鸟类物种与群落营巢集团进行调查。调查共记录到繁殖鸟类96种,根据鸟类营巢位置可将其分为林冠枝干营巢集团、灌草丛营巢集团、林冠枝干/灌草丛营巢集团、自然洞穴营巢集团、人工建筑营巢集团、自然洞穴/人工建筑营巢集团地面营巢集团、水面营巢集团和寄生集团共9种。进一步分析显示,随城市化程度提高,鸟类营巢集团的数目呈整体下降趋势,而各集团的物种数也基本呈下降趋势。但是,不同的营巢集团对城市化的反应存在差异,导致其物种组成在群落中比例的明显变化。城市化程度的提高使树冠筑巢鸟、灌丛筑巢鸟、地面筑巢鸟及自然洞穴筑巢鸟在群落中所占的比例明显下降,其中地面筑巢鸟最为敏感,灌丛筑巢鸟次之。同时,自然洞穴/人工建筑集团的鸟类在群落中的比例却随着城市化程度的提高明显上升。各营巢集团之所以对城市化做出不同反应,是因为它们对筑巢地资源利用方式不同。此外,还发现植被盖度、人工设施面积、至市中心距离以及人为干扰等因素均可对鸟类营巢集团结构产生影响,但不同类型的营巢集团对上述因素的反应各异。  相似文献

It is becoming apparent that birds learn from their own experiences of nest building. What is not clear is whether birds can learn from watching conspecifics build. As social learning allows an animal to gain information without engaging in costly trial-and-error learning, first-time builders should exploit the successful habits of experienced builders. We presented first-time nest-building male zebra finches with either a familiar or an unfamiliar conspecific male building with material of a colour the observer did not like. When given the opportunity to build, males that had watched a familiar male build switched their material preference to that used by the familiar male. Males that observed unfamiliar birds did not. Thus, first-time nest builders use social information and copy the nest material choices when demonstrators are familiar but not when they are strangers. The relationships between individuals therefore influence how nest-building expertise is socially transmitted in zebra finches.  相似文献

The nest is a major focal point of the reproductive cycle in the ring dove (Streptopelia risoria). This study shows that the state of the nest is an important determinant of the type of nest-building exhibited. For example, birds faced with an empty nest bowl every day removed more material from dispensers and built more actively than did those allowed to construct nests normally. Conversely, those given completed nests were not very active, but were more efficient in using the little they removed from the dispensers and showed a reversal of sex roles in building. The relations between nest-building and egg-laying, and between male and the female are discussed.  相似文献

为研究建巢行为对室内繁育根田鼠的可能影响,共设计两个实验:(1)选择30 对配对根田鼠分成两组,即15 对建巢根田鼠(建巢组)和15 对不建巢根田鼠(不建巢组),每对根田鼠提供5. 3 g 左右的棉花作巢材,持续30 d。记录两组有无实验动物时的巢内、巢上温度变化情况。(2)记录24 窝后代的出生时体重、断奶时体重、杀婴的数量和日龄。结果表明,建巢组巢内温度显著高于不建巢组巢内温度,相反的是,建巢组的巢上温度比不建巢组的巢上温度低。两组间后代出生时的平均体重没有显著差异但断奶时的体重存在显著差异。而且,在2 ~ 14 日龄间,建巢组和不建巢组雄性后代体重之间存在显著差异。建巢组的杀婴数量极显著低于不建巢组的杀婴数量。因此,建巢行为可以显著提高雄性后代的个体发育和后代的存活。  相似文献

Relationships were assessed between brood patch development, nest-building and egg-laying in 20 female canaries in the natural breeding season. Twelve of these were unpaired; eight were provided with males after two months of being kept singly. The later laying of some females was due to their more protracted development rather than to their later start. The completion of brood patch defeathering, a certain stage of its vascularity, and the start of intensive nest-building occurred within a few days of each other whatever the date of egg-laying. Differences from an earlier study of paired females which had only limited access to nest material can be understood in terms of the known effects of the male and the nest-cup on reproductive development.
All birds showed a period of intensive nest-building beginning about eight days before egg-laying, with a peak about three days before. In those females in which the period of intensive building lasted for more than eight days, there was an earlier peak about seven days previously. This, and also the building behaviour of many females even earlier in the season, are in harmony with the view that reproductive development is not progressive, but intermittent.  相似文献

We investigated the effects of travel costs on transporting nest material and nest-building activity in golden hamsters. Nest-deprived animals were submitted to run alleys 30, 90 and 180 cm long to access a source containing paper strips as nest material (Experiment 1) or were submitted to the same travel costs in 24-h experimental sessions (Experiment 2). We noted that increased travel costs were related to a decreased number of trips to the source, larger amounts (cm(2)) of nest material transported per trip (although total loads also decreased in longer alleys), longer intervals between trips, and increased time spent at the source and in nest building activity. Foraging efficiency (i.e. size of load divided by the time spent at the source) decreased as a function of travel costs, and animals transported their loads in two fundamental ways: in 30-cm alleys, they simply used their mouth to pull the paper strips, but in 90- or 180-cm alleys they transported the loads in their cheek pouches. The animals were faster when returning to the home-cage and their running speed (cm/s) increased as a function of the length of the alley, showing that animals are under different environmental pressures when searching for resources and subsequently running back with the load to the nest. Both male and female subjects were sensitive to travel costs, but males engaged in nest building activity more promptly and exhibited higher mean performances in most measures. We conclude that nest material is a good reinforcer, and our major results are in accordance with the predictions of microeconomic and optimal foraging theories.  相似文献

The course of several behavioural patterns could be influenced by controlling the state of the nest available to a pair of ring doves (Streptopelia risoria). These patterns were: wing-flipping, handling of nesting material, nest bowl occupancy, and nervous activities. In groups having to build nests, the onset of wing-flipping by the female occurred at a predictable time before egg-laying. It is argued that during nest-building a female influences the male to carry material to her by sitting in the nest bowl and wing-flipping. In pairs provided with a completed nest, the course of the pre-laying cycle was changed and the ‘typical’ sex roles did not emerge. The nest-building characteristics of Oreochromis mossambicus (Peters) were studied in five manmade lakes (reservoirs) Sri Lanka. The nests were always found in clusters (arenas) and were generally located in or near coves and/or bays in shallow water. The density of nests in an arena varied between arenas in a reservoir and between reservoirs. The overall mean density of nests ranged between 0.47 and 6.31 m 2 in the five reservoirs. The nests ranged from 11 to 110 cm in diameter, two size groups of nests being recognizable: small, with diameter 10–50 cm, and large with diameter >50 cm. At any nesting site only one size group of nests was found.

In this study we have investigated the effect of nest-building behaviour, courtship behaviour, and male–male interactions on male reproductive performance of the red bishop (Euplectes orix), a highly polygynous, colonially breeding weaverbird species. Previous studies on red bishops have revealed that male reproductive success is mainly determined by the number of nests built in a territory, and that reproductive success and the number of nests both vary substantially among males. Here we test whether the high variation observed in reproductive performance is related to male behavioural patterns (as assessed by time-budget analysis) and/or nest-building efficiency (as assessed by the number of fibres incorporated in the nest in unit time). We collected data on male time budgets and analysed behavioural patterns for three breeding seasons. A greater number of nests built was positively related to both the amount of time allocated to nest-building behaviour and the efficiency of nest building. Neither the amount of time spent in courtship behaviour nor the amount of time spent in male–male interactions was related to reproductive success. Male reproductive success, irrespective of the number of nests built, was partly determined by the number of fibres incorporated, suggesting some importance of nest quality in terms of nest chamber density to male reproductive success. There were no trade-offs with regard to time allocated to different behaviour. Instead, males differed with regard to their territory attendance and activity levels, which might be because of differences in energy resources and may thus reflect inherent differences in male body condition and, ultimately, male genetic quality.  相似文献

Although various aspects of gorilla nest building have been described in wild populations, nest-building behavior of captive gorillas has not been subject to much scientific review. We observed nest building in 17 gorillas during three periods: summer baseline, winter baseline, and winter treatment, in which the amount of available nesting material was doubled. We conducted observations exclusively in the indoor holding area in the hour following evening departure of animal care staff. During baseline, gorillas engaged in nest-building on 3.1% of scans and were on a constructed nest on 27.9% of scans. Overall, gorillas spent significantly more time on elevated nests than on floor nests. There were no statistically significant sex, age class, or rearing history differences in nest building, time spent on a nest, or nest location preference. Nest building consisted of both gathering and manipulating materials. The gorillas spent significantly more time building nests in winter than in summer. Additionally, they were more often on elevated nests during winter than summer. Doubling the amount of nesting material did not increase nest building, but it increased the number of floor nests. Our results suggest that providing adequate materials to captive gorillas for nest building may facilitate performance of species-typical nest-building, minimize competition among individuals for nesting sites and materials, and permit individual thermoregulation.  相似文献

Why do females increase parental effort when caring for theoffspring of attractive males? First, attractive males may bepoor fathers so that their females are compelled to increasetheir own contribution in order to fledge some young (the partner-compensationhypothesis). Second, females mated to attractive males may bewilling to increase their parental effort to reap high indirectbenefits for their offspring, and in turn males can decreasetheir own contribution (the differential allocation hypothesis[DAH]). We investigated these hypotheses in the penduline titRemiz pendulinus, a small passerine bird that has sequentialpolygamy by both sexes and strict uniparental care either bythe male or the female. We focused on two sexually selectedmale traits: nest size and nest-building behavior. We show thatmale care is unrelated to nest-building behavior, whereas femalesare more likely to care for the offspring of those males thatspend more time nest building. Females also more likely carefor the offspring of males that build large nests. Consequently,the reproductive success of males increases with nest size andnest-building behavior. Our results are consistent with theDAH and suggest that nest-building behavior and nest size areunder postmating sexual selection in penduline tits.  相似文献
