钙对生长素诱导的玉米胚芽鞘切段延长生长的影响

１０μｇ／ｇ的ＩＡＡ溶液强烈地促进玉米胚芽鞘切段的延长生长和质子分泌,但这两种效应的启动时间有别．Ｃａ２＋在高浓度下（２—５ｍｍｏｌ／Ｌ）强烈抑制ＩＡＡ诱导的延长生长,但在低浓度下（０．５ｍｍｏｌ／Ｌ）则有轻微的促进作用．ＩＡＡ增大质膜相对透性,而Ｃａ２＋则有稳定膜的作用,且适宜的浓度较低（０．５ｍｍｏｌ／Ｌ）．     

农药对土壤微生物的生态效应

大量有关农药对土壤微生物生态效应的研究表明,虽然有些农药对土壤微生物及其活性会产生抑制或促进作用,但这种作用一般是短暂的;按推荐浓度正常使用农药通常不会影响土壤微生物的各种生化过程和活性,对土壤的物质循环和土壤肥力也没有不利影响;但大多数土壤薰蒸剂和杀真菌剂能改变土壤微生物平衡,它们对土壤微生物的作用强于杀虫剂和除草剂;长期使用农药不致使土壤微生物数量和活性发生明显变化,这应部分归功于土壤微生物对农药的降解或转化．     

铽离子与RNA的荧光反应及RNA测定的研究

核糖核酸（ＲＮＡ）与稀土铽离子在ｐＨ５．０～６．５条件下能形成具有较强荧光的络合物,其激发峰在２８８ｎｍ处,发射峰为４９４ｎｍ及５４５ｎｍ处．ＲＮＡ在０．１～１０ｍｇ／Ｌ范围内与其荧光强度呈线性关系,其检出限为６．０×１０￣（－８）ｍｏｌ／Ｌ．腺苷酸,尿苷酸,胞苷酸对ＲＮＡ的干扰比较小,因此可在其存在下选择性地测定ＲＮＡ．     

皖南尖吻蝮蛇毒出血毒素Ⅳ的纯化与初步鉴定

从皖南尖吻蝮蛇（Ａｇｋｉｓｔｒｏｄｏｎａｃｕｔｕｓ）毒液中经ＤＥＡＥ－Ｓｅｐｈａｒｏｓｅ和ＳｅｐｈａｃｒｙｌＳ－２００两步凝胶柱层析首次纯化出一种中分子量出血毒素（简称ＡａＨⅣ）．经ＳＤＳ－ＰＡＧＥ和等电聚焦凝胶电泳测定其分子量为４４ｋＤ,等电点为ｐＨ５．０．从５００ｍｇ粗毒中可获得２０ｍｇＡａＨⅣ纯品．ＡａＨⅣ有较强的出血活性,最小出血剂量（ＭＨＤ）为０．４μｇ．     

Cell signaling and heat shock protein expression

Exposure of cells and organs to heat shock is associated with numerous changes in various cellular metabolic parameters and overexpression of proteins collectively known as heat shock proteins (HSP). In this communication we review the cell-signaling events that are altered in response to heat shock as they relate to the subsequent induction of HSP 70 kd (HSP-70) expression. We also review the mechanisms by which HSP-70 is involved in conferring cytoprotective effects. The possibility of altering HSP expression through manipulations of the cell-signal process has clinical importance.The opinions or assertions contained herein are the private views of the authors and are not to be construed as official or reflecting the views of the Department of the Army or Department of Defense.     

Phosphatase Activity Toward Abnormally Phosphorylated τ: Decrease in Alzheimer Disease Brain

Abstract: Microtubule-associated protein τ is abnormally hyperphosphorylated and aggregated in affected neurons of Alzheimer disease brain. This hyperphosphorylated τ can be dephosphorylated at some of the abnormal phosphorylated sites by purified protein phosphatase-1, 2A, and 2B in vitro. In the present study, we have developed an assay to measure protein phosphatase activity toward τ-1 sites (Ser¹⁹⁹/Ser²⁰²) using the hyperphosphorylated τ isolated from Alzheimer disease brain as substrate. Using this assay, we have identified that in normal brain, protein phosphatase-2A and 2B and, to a lesser extent, 1 are involved in the dephosphorylation of τ. The K _m values of dephosphorylation of the hyperphosphorylated τ by protein phosphatase-2A and 2B are similar. The τ phosphatase activity is decreased by ∼30% in brain of Alzheimer disease patients compared with those of age-matched controls. These findings suggest that a defect of protein phosphatase could be the cause of the abnormal hyperphosphorylation of τ in Alzheimer disease.     

The role of context on alpha-helix stabilization: host-guest analysis in a mixed background peptide model.

The helix content of a series of peptides containing single substitutions of the 20 natural amino acids in a new designed host sequence, succinyl-YSEEEEKAKKAXAEEAEKKKK-NH2, has been determined using CD spectroscopy. This host is related to one previously studied, in which triple amino acid substitutions were introduced into a background of Glu-Lys blocks completely lacking alanine. The resulting free energies show that only Ala and Glu- prove to be helix stabilizing, while all other side chains are neutral or destabilizing. This agrees with results from studies of alanine-rich peptide modela, but not the previous Glu-Lys block oligomers in which Leu and Met also stabilize helix. The helix propensity scale derived from the previous block oligomers correlated well with the frequencies of occurrence of different side chains in helical sequences of proteins, whereas the values from the present series do not. The role of context in determining scales of helix propensity values is discussed, and the ability of algorithms designed to predict helix structure from sequence is compared.

Structural analysis of the N- and C-termini in a peptide with consensus sequence.

We present a structural analysis of a peptide, the sequence of which includes amino acids that show preferences for specific positions near the N- and C-termini in protein helices. This peptide has the sequence ac-YMSEDELKAAEAAFKRHGVP-amide, which includes a strong version of an N-terminal Harper-Rose capping box structure as well as a Gly located close to the C-terminus designed to elucidate its role in C-terminal capping. The sequence of five residues at the middle is inserted to separate effects at the two ends via a helix-stabilizing linker. Application of a simulated annealing procedure using interproton distance constraints derived from 1H NOESY experiments in water reveals the presence of a C-terminal structure in this model. The C-terminus forms a folded back structure in a significant fraction of structures generated by the annealing, in most of which Gly assumes an alpha L conformation. This structure occurs within a highly flexible region of the molecule and hence is occupied only a fraction of the time.

常绿杜鹃亚属Subgenus Hymenanthes是由K.Koch（1872）根据Blume（1826）建立的Genus Hymenanthes改级组合而成。但长期以来人们一直沿用了Maximowicz（1870）所建立的、后由Koehne（1893）修订过的Subgenus Eurhododendron这一亚属名称,直到最近D.F.Chamberlain（1978,1979,1982）对该亚属的名称才作了正式订正。
