Studies on the seasonal population dynamics of Pallisentis (Neosentis) celatus (Acanthocephala: Quadrigyridae) in the intestine of the rice-field eel Monopterus albus from the paddies and ditches in the Dong-ting Lake basin of China, were carried out with samples taken from June 2002 to May 2003. Prevalences were above 21% in all seasons sampled and with a distinct seasonal trend, which was highest (45.81%) in the spring and decreased by degrees. The mean intensity of infection was above 4.0 worms per fish. The maximum intensity of worms recovered from a single fish was 86 in the autumn of 2002. No significant seasonal differences were found in mean intensities, and differences in the mean abundance between winter and spring, winter and autumn were significant. Over-dispersed distributions of P. (N.) celatus in the host population, due to heterogeneity and feeding habits, were observed in all seasons. The size composition of both sexes of P. (N.) celatus showed males between 2.0 mm and 14.0 mm and females between 2.2 mm and 22.2 mm, with the main recruitment phase in the worm populations occurring in the summer and autumn, especially in the autumn, with the lowest recruitment occurring in the winter. The maturation and copulation of worms were mainly focused in the spring season. The sex ratio of female to male was both high in summer (1.09:1) and autumn (1.08:1). The higher proportion of females and the change in the worm sex ratio in summer can be attributed to the reduced longevity of male worms. As immature male worms exhibit a higher proportion of the worm population than females in all seasons, further studies are needed to determine if such a situation compensates for the shorter life span of males.  相似文献

The seasonality of recruitment and reproduction of Acanthocephalus tumescens at the component population level was investigated in Lake Moreno (Patagonia, Argentina). Seasonal samples of the principal fish host species were taken between spring 1999 and spring 2000. Prevalence, mean intensity, coefficient of dispersion, sex ratio, proportion of maturity stages of females, and percentages of the 2 sources of infection in the stomach of fishes were calculated. Overall prevalence, mean intensity, and coefficient of dispersion showed the same pattern of seasonal changes. The seasonal feeding patterns of fishes affect the occurrence of A. tumescens, producing 1 peak in spring and the other peak in autumn. The lower temperature in winter delay reproductive processes after the autumn period of recruitment.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to examine the spatial genetic relationships of the Lake Qinghai scaleless carp Gymnocypris przewalskii within the Lake Qinghai system, determining whether genetic evidence supports the current taxonomy of Gymnocypris przewalskii przewalskii and Gymnocypris przewalskii ganzihonensis and whether Gymnocypris przewalskii przewalskii are returning to their natal rivers to spawn. Comparison of mitochondrial (control region) variation (42 haplotypes in 203 fish) of G. przewalskii with the postulated ancestral species found in the Yellow River, Gymnocypris eckloni (10 haplotypes in 23 fish), indicated no haplotype sharing, but incomplete lineage sorting. Consistent with the sub-species status, an AMOVA indicated that the Ganzi River population was significantly different from all other river populations (F(ST) = 0·1671, P < 0·001). No genetic structure was found among the other rivers in the Lake Qinghai catchment. An AMOVA of amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) loci, however, revealed significant genetic differences between most spawning populations (F(ST) = 0·0721, P < 0·001). Both mitochondrial and AFLP data found significant differences among G. p. przewalskii, G. p. ganzihonensis and G. eckloni (F(ST) values of 0·1959 and 0·1431, respectively, P < 0·001). Consistent with the incomplete lineage sorting, Structure analysis of AFLP loci showed evidence of five clusters. One cluster is shared among all sample locations, one is unique to G. p. ganzihonensis and G. eckloni, and the others are mostly found in G. p. przewalskii. Genetic evidence therefore supports the current taxonomy, including the sub-species status of G. p. ganzihonensis, and is consistent with natal homing of most Lake Qinghai populations. These findings have significant implications for the conservation and management of this unique and threatened species. The evidence suggests that G. p. przewalskii should be treated as a single population for conservation purposes. Exchangeability of the populations, however, should not be used to promote homogenization of fish spawning in the different rivers. As some degree of genetic divergence was detected in this study, it is recommended that the spawning groups be treated as separate management units.  相似文献

This study was designed to investigate any seasonal (spring, summer, autumn and winter) changes in haematological parameters in the blood of Tinca tinca measuring the number of red blood cells (RBC), haematocrit, white blood cells, and total plasma proteins.The results show significant changes in RBC and haematocrit in males comparing spring and summer with autumn and winter, whereas in females the RBC remained constant for all 4 seasons but the haematocrit decreased in autumn and winter compared to spring and summer. The white blood cells of male and female animals were significantly lower in spring and winter compared to summer and autumn. In male fish total protein contents significantly decreased in autumn and winter compared to spring and summer, whereas in females protein output significantly decreased in winter compared to the other seasons. The results indicate marked seasonal variation in the blood of male and female Tinca tinca. This variation may play a important protective role for the survival of the animals.  相似文献

The seasonal cycle of the cestode Proteocephalus sagittus (Cestoda: Proteocephalidae) was studied for the first time in the stone loach Barbatula barbatula from the Hana River, Czech Republic. A total of 180 loaches were examined monthly from January to December 2001. The parasite occurred in loaches throughout the year but infection parameters differed significantly among seasons, with the highest values of prevalence and abundance from the late winter to the early summer. Parasite recruitment took place in the winter and early spring and the worms sexually matured in the late spring and early summer. In contrast to P. torulosus, the gravid worms of which laid eggs only at the end of the spring/beginning of the summer, gravid worms of P. sagittus were also found, although in low numbers, in the autumn and early winter. The rate of infection of loach with P. sagittus was neither dependent on the sex nor on the size of its fish host.  相似文献

 The echinorhynchid acanthocephalan Acanthocephalus sp. was collected and described from four species of fishes (rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss, Sakhalin huchen Hucho perryi, Japanese pond smelt Hypomesus nipponensis, and threespine stickleback Gasterosteus aculeatus) from a lake system, the Tsugaru-Jūniko Lakes, in Aomori Prefecture, northern Japan. In rainbow trout, the prevalence and intensity of infection markedly differed between lakes, and the fish were most frequently and most heavily infected in the lakes with a dense population of the isopod intermediate host Asellus hilgendorfi. In isopods, the prevalence of acanthocephalan larvae increased in the late winter and reached its highest level in March or April. In rainbow trout, male worms were abundant from winter to spring, and female worms were immature during these seasons. Gravid females were abundant in summer and autumn. These findings indicate that Acanthocephalus sp. is an annual species and its recruitment from the intermediate host to the fish occurs mainly in winter and spring. Eighteen species of fishes were collected during the open water (1985-1987) and winter seasons (1985-1986) from Dauphin Lake, Manitoba, Canada (51 degrees 17'N, 99 degrees 48'W) and examined for plerocercoids of Ligula intestinalis (L.). Plerocercoids were most prevalent (5.3%) in spottail shiners (Notropis hudsonius), the major fish host for Ligula in Dauphin Lake. Detailed analysis of the spottail shiner-Ligula host-parasite system revealed that the number of plerocercoids differed between years and among habitats but there was no statistically significant seasonal pattern; recruitment of new worms was highest in young fish and decreased with age, and infected spottails had reduced gonad development. Analysis of host and parasite growth revealed that the soma of male spottails infected with Ligula weighed more but had a reduced growth rate. Growth rate of females was unaffected by Ligula but somatic weight was slightly increased. This appears to be related to the greater metabolic stress on infected males. Based on increased mean somatic weight and skewness of the weight distribution for infected fish, we propose that infected spottails are subjected to size-selective mortality. Some of the contradictions in the literature may be attributed to underestimated prevalence due to increased numbers of spawning fish in the spring, mixed age-classes of Ligula in separate age-classes of fish, and differential effects on growth due to infection in male versus female hosts.  相似文献

The distribution and abundance of the nematode Camallanus oxycephalus infecting white bass, Morone chrysops, in western Lake Erie was studied for over 2 years. Infection was generally more frequent and of higher intensity in large fish. The frequency distributions of nematode abundance in all segments of the fish population followed the negative binomial distribution. The data show seasonal cycles in population structure, site selection, intensity of infection, maturation, and reproduction. Infection occurs during July and August with a resulting peak in population density; during late summer and autumn, mortality, probably density-dependent, reduces the population by 30 to 60%; surviving worms are eliminated at 1 year of age. Growth and development of female worms is arrested from November to April, then proceeds at a rapid rate until the worms release their larvae and die. This growth pattern is probably related to temperature but may also involve host hormone cycles. The dispersal period of the nematode coincides with the annual maximum density of the intermediate host, a cyclopoid copepod,and is interpreted as an adaptation which increases the probability of successful transmission. Because the number of larvae produced by each female worm is a function of body volume, natural selection has favored rapid spring growth and attainment of large body size relative to the male worm. Both seasonal timing in the life cycle and the number of larvae produced are important factors in determining the abundance of this and perhaps other parasites. Evidence is presented suggesting that fluctuations of environmental parameters may disrupt the timing of transmission and alter the distribution and abundance of the parasite. It is hypothesized that the magnitude of such changes in parasite abundance may be related to the complexity of the host-parasite system.  相似文献

通过各种年龄鉴定材料比较研究了青海湖裸鲤的年轮特征。微耳石和星耳石可用于鉴定年龄,而矢耳石易碎,不适合鉴定年龄。4种年龄鉴定材料对青海湖裸鲤年龄的判别能力为:背鳍条>微耳石>臀鳞>脊椎骨。对8龄以下个体,用背鳍条磨片鉴定年龄效果较佳;对8龄以上个体,臀鳞、背鳍条磨片和脊椎骨上的年轮计数明显低于微耳石磨片,微耳石磨片是高龄青海湖裸鲤较为可靠的年龄鉴定材料。    相似文献

The population and seasonal distribution of Procamallanus daccai (Nematoda: Procamallanidae) in Eutropiichthys vacha (Siluridae) from the Kaptai Lake were studied for a period of 20 months during 1986-1987. A total of 208 fish were necropsied and 5652 worms were recovered, of which 2392 were from 87 infected male fish and 3260 were from 89 infected female fish. Prevalence values varied from 50% to 95%. The intensity and abundance of nematodes fluctuated over the study period and are statistically significant (F=14.87, P<0.0001), and showed a seasonal preference for the summer period (F=33.39, P<0.05). The mean intensity was the highest in the smallest size group at 66.3+/-12.7 which gradually decreased to 4+/-1.89 in the largest size group. No significant differences were found between parasites from male and female hosts, except in the summer. Male parasites were less abundant in the population. Female worms were grouped into immature, maturing and gravid and all these stages were present throughout the year. The highest occurrence of both immature and gravid P. daccai was found during the months of February to April each year. Peak recruitment seems to occur during this period due to the presence of high quantities of immature worms.  相似文献

Daubaylia potomaca is an unusual parasite for several reasons. Specifically, it has a direct life cycle in which it uses a planorbid snail, Helisoma anceps , as the definitive host. In addition, adult females have been shown to be both the infective stage and the only stage documented to be shed from a live, infected host. Finally, adults, juveniles, and eggs have been observed in all tissues and blood spaces of the host, suggesting the parasite consumes and actively migrates through host tissue. The present study examined the population and infection dynamics of D. potomaca in Mallard Lake, a 4.9-ha public access pond in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. In particular, the study examined the role of seasonality on the prevalence and mean intensity of infection of D. potomaca in the snail host. Data collected from August 2008 to October 2009 suggest that prevalence and mean intensity were inversely related in the spring and fall. Prevalence in fall 2008 was 10.3% but increased to 47.3% in spring 2009. Conversely, intensity was high in fall 2008 at 52.4 ± 8.9 worms/infected host but dropped to 3.1 ± 0.3 worms/infected host in spring 2009. During the same time, the parasites within the snails went from highly aggregated populations in the fall to a less aggregated distribution in the spring. It is hypothesized that D. potomaca induces mortality of the snail hosts during the winter, followed by a rapid recruitment event of the nematodes by the snail population after torpor.  相似文献

舌状绦虫裂头蚴只寄生在体长小于220mm的青海湖裸鲤中,其种群在宿主种群中呈聚集分布。其聚集分布的强度随寄生虫种群平均密度的增加而降低。由于舌状绦虫在宿主体腔生长,产生明显的空间拥挤效应,可能导致宿主死亡或被食鱼鸟类捕食而转移到终末宿主中。在体长小于120mm的宿主中,密度依赖的死亡过程可能是使聚集强度降低的原因;而体长140-200mm的鱼中,则是非密度依赖的全死过程使聚集强度增加.  相似文献

研究于2020—2021年使用Simrad EY60鱼探仪对鄱阳湖进行了秋季、春季和冬季共3次的水声学调查,并同步开展渔获物调查作为补充,分析鄱阳湖鱼类资源时空分布变化特征。结果表明:在季节分布上,鱼类目标强度和密度值都存在显著差异(P<0.05),在目标强度上表现为冬季[(–51.0±14.13) dB]>春季[(–52.10±4.59) dB]>秋季[(–52.71±9.95) dB],在鱼类密度上表现为冬季(54.61 ind./1000 m3)>秋季(46.10 ind./1000 m3)>春季(18.54 ind./1000 m3);在水平分布上,鱼类资源空间分布不均且不同湖区间有显著差异(P<0.05),秋季鱼类主要分布在中部湖区松门山,冬季鱼类主要分布在北部湖区通江水道;在垂直分布上,秋季和冬季均表现为底层>中层>表层,春季表现为表层>中层>底层。综合来看,鄱阳湖鱼类时空分布与鱼类的生活习性如产卵、育肥和越冬等因素密切相关。研究结果为从宏观空间尺度分析区域鱼类时空变动特征提供参考,也为鄱阳湖禁捕效果评估及生物完整...  相似文献

Longevity and fecundity of pear psylla adults, Cacopsylla pyri (L.) (Homoptera: Psyllidae), were studied in Greece under field conditions, during 1991/92 and 1992/93. Net fecundity (mean fecundity of cohort) of the overwintered females (winter form) was low (24.1 and 43.4 eggs per female for 1991/92 and 1992/93 respectively) because only a small fraction of the females survive reproductive diapause. Surviving females, however, are capable of producing a relatively high number of eggs (135.0 and 151 9 eggs per female for the two seasons respectively). Net fecundity of summer form females was very high in spring (343.2 and 406.8 eggs per female for 1992 and 1993 respectively), relatively high in early autumn (130.4 and 192.5 eggs per female) and very low in summer (21.9 and 46.5 eggs per female). Male longevity was in all cases shorter than that of female. Longevity of both sexes of the summer form was higher in spring and autumn (for females it ranged from 22.3 to 28.4 days) than it was in summer (for females it ranged from 14.3 to 17.4 days).  相似文献

The life history and population biology of adult A. lucii in perch, Perca fluviatilis L., from the Forth and Clyde canal, Scotland, was investigated during May 1979-September 1981. There was an annual cycle in the size of the parasite population; prevalence and abundance (+/- SE) were highest during late spring and summer (70-90% and 14 +/- 4.3 to 16 +/- 5.6 worms/fish, respectively) but declined during late autumn and reached a minimum during winter (50-60% and 2.1 +/- 0.9 to 3.2 +/- 0.6 worms/fish). Parasite maturation was associated with higher water temperatures during spring and summer and most shelled acanthors were probably produced during summer and fall. There was only 1 generation of A. lucii per year, although generations tended to overlap and individuals within each generation did not develop synchronously. The sex ratio of adults was initially near unity but favoured females in the later stages of the infection. The distribution of A. lucii among perch was highly aggregated and stomach content analysis suggested that this was partly due to heterogeneity in perch feeding behaviour. The negative binomial and Poisson lognormal models fitted the data on worm distribution. Seasonal changes in the degree of parasite aggregation were detected, but no conclusive evidence of density-dependent controls on parasite population growth was obtained.  相似文献

Feeding ecology of three small fish species, Hypseleotris swinhonis, Ctenogobius giurinus and Pseudorasbora parva was studied seasonally in the Biandantang Lake, a small, shallow lake in central China. Gut length, adjusted for total body length, was significantly higher in spring than in other seasons for all the three species. Seasonal changes in gut length were not associated with changes in food quality. Weight of fore-gut contents, adjusted for body weight, was significantly higher in winter and spring than in summer and autumn in H. swinhonis and C. giurinus , and significantly higher in autumn than in spring and summer for P. parva. Percentage of empty fore-guts was highest in summer and lowest in spring for H. swinhonis and C. giurinus , and highest in winter and lowest in autumn for P. parva. Diet of the three small fishes showed apparent seasonal changes, and these changes reflected partly the seasonal fluctuations of food resources in environment. Diet breadth was high in winter and low in autumn for H. swinhonis , high in winter and low in spring and summer for C. giurinus , and high in autumn and low in spring for P. parva. Diet overlaps between pairs of species were biologically significant in most cases, except between H. swinhonis and P. parva in summer and autumn and between C. giurinus and P. parva in autumn.  相似文献

为掌握禁捕初期鄱阳湖鱼类群落的结构特征, 研究于2020年4月(春季)、7月(夏季)、10月(秋季)和2021年1月(冬季)在鄱阳湖21个采样点开展了渔获物调查。全年共采集到57种鱼类, 隶属于8目12科43属。优势种有贝氏?(Hemiculter bleekeri)、短颌鲚(Coilia brachygnathus)、蛇(Saurogobio dabryi)、和似鳊(Pseudobrama simoni)等4种鱼类。江湖洄游型、江海洄游型和河流型鱼类物种数共占比45.61%, 平均体重<20 g的物种的丰度占所有渔获物丰度的88.47%。在空间结构上, 基于鱼类丰度的非度量多维排序分析将鄱阳湖分为通江水道和主湖区两个大的空间类群, 方差分析表明通江水道鱼类丰度显著低于主湖区, 但多样性高于主湖区。在季节变化方面, 不同季节渔获物丰度、生物量和多样性的差异极其显著, 高水位时期(夏、秋季)的多样性高于低水位时期(春、冬季)。2020年10月在鄱阳湖主湖区中部的S9和通江水道的S20两个采样点发现了鄱阳湖历史文献中没有记录的广盐性近海鱼类——鲻(Mugil cephalus), 可能得益于长江禁捕, 由于消除了捕捞压力, 促使了该鱼类的资源恢复和上溯, 也不排除其他人为因素的可能, 因而需要更长时间序列的跟踪和监测。研究为全面评估鄱阳湖禁捕的生态效果提供了基础数据, 也为制定鄱阳湖鱼类资源的保护政策提供了参考。  相似文献

为了解闽江口常见鱼类群落的营养结构特征,于2015年冬季(1月)、春季(5月)、夏季(8月)、秋季(11月)采集闽江口底拖网渔业资源样品,利用稳定同位素分析闽江口常见鱼类群落营养结构特征及其季节性变化,并计算了基于δ13C-δ15N量化的7个营养结构的群落范围指标.结果表明: 闽江口常见鱼类群落除夏季和秋季的δ13C值之间不存在显著性差异,其余各季节之间δ13C值均差异显著;δ15N值春季与其余3个季节都表现出显著性差异,而其余3个季节δ15N值互相之间均无显著性差异.稳定同位素的量化指标表明: 闽江口常见鱼类群落的营养结构存在季节差异,春季的生态位总空间(TA)、核心生态位空间(SEAc)、鱼类基础食物来源(CR)、营养长度(NR)、鱼类营养多样性(CD)均为四季的最大值;从夏季至秋季再到冬季,生态位总空间(TA)、核心生态位空间(SEAc)、鱼类基础食物来源(CR)、营养长度(NR)、鱼类营养多样性(CD)和营养位置差异(MNND)均逐步上升.闽江口常见鱼类群落营养结构的季节差异可能与鱼类生殖洄游和群落内食源多样性的变化密切相关.  相似文献

三峡库区澎溪河鱼类时空分布特征的水声学研究   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
为了解三峡库区支流澎溪河鱼类时空分布变化,2009—2010年的秋季、冬季和春季,使用Simrad EY60鱼探仪对澎溪河的鱼类资源量及其时空分布特征进行3次声学调查。结果表明:3个季节鱼类水平分布不均匀,鱼类最大密度分别为67.07尾/1000 m3,19.66尾/1000m3,17.25尾/1000m3且不同季节上层、中层鱼类密度水平分布有显著性差异(P≤0.01,P=0.03);各季节鱼类密度垂直分布也有一定差异,冬季上层鱼类密度和下层鱼类密度差异较为显著(P=0.05);另外鱼类密度昼夜分布有显著性差异(P<0.05),造成该现象的原因主要是由于鱼类的昼夜垂直节律(Diel Vertical Migration,DVM)引起;3个季节的鱼类目标强度(TS值)的差异极其显著(P<0.01),其中秋季鱼类TS最高((-57.0±5.6)dB),春季TS值最低((-58.6±4.9)dB),造成该差异的原因是4—6月是长江上游鱼类繁殖季节,仔稚鱼居多。鱼类空间分布及其位点的水深关系分析显示,鱼类密度水平分布秋季、冬季与水深不相关(︱r︱<0.2),春季与水深中度负相关(r=-0.5,P≤0.05)。  相似文献
