为了证实草地螟Loxostege sticticalis L.(鳞翅目: 螟蛾科)由我国华北越冬区向东北迁飞危害的假说并提供直接的证据, 采用网捕成虫喷雾染料标记释放回收的方法,于2009年越冬代草地螟成虫盛发期间(6月1-4日)分别在内蒙古武川县(41.07°N, 111.42°E)和察右中旗(41.13°N, 112.58°E)的6个标放点共标记当地越冬代草地螟成虫约181万头并自然释放。标记释放后, 在东北、 西北和华北11个草地螟常发省(市、 区)组织各级监测预警部门利用虫情测报灯、 捕虫网和性诱剂诱捕器等多种器械进行回收, 先后于2009年6月7-29日在内蒙古科右中旗、 乌兰浩特、 扎兰屯分别回收到由察右中旗标记释放的成虫9头, 在辽宁省北票市回收到由武川县标记释放的成虫1头。标记释放点至回收点直线距离为725~1 117 km。这是迄今为止世界上确认的草地螟最远迁飞距离。这些证据不仅证实了我国越冬代草地螟成虫能从华北迁往东北危害, 而且为进一步了解草地螟的种群动态规律, 改善草地螟的预测预报技术提供了重要的科学依据。 相似文献

1. Morphometric and biochemical endpoints were used to assess growth and energetics in young‐of‐the‐year (YOY) northern pike (Esox lucius), YOY burbot (Lota lota) and slimy sculpin (Cottus cognatus) collected upstream and downstream of a uranium mining operation in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. 2. Water sampled at sites downstream of uranium mining and milling effluent discharge was higher in certain trace metals (arsenic, molybdenum), ions (conductivity, hardness, ammonia and sulphate) and total dissolved solids compared with ecologically similar reference sites. 3. Overwinter survival potential was estimated by determining total body lipids and total body triglycerides in fishes collected in late autumn and early spring. Two‐factor anova indicated no site or season differences in total body lipids or triglycerides in YOY northern pike. In spring, burbot collected from the exposure site were higher in total body lipids and triglycerides compared with the previous autumn and compared with fish collected from the reference site. Slimy sculpin from both exposure and reference sites had lower total body lipid and triglyceride content in spring compared with the previous autumn. In addition, sculpin from the exposure site had lower total body lipids and triglycerides in spring compared with fish collected from the reference site. 4. Biochemical estimates of fish growth (muscle RNA/DNA ratio and muscle protein concentration) exhibited clear seasonal differences, with consistent decreases in this endpoint for all fish species in spring relative to the previous autumn at both exposure and reference sites. 5. Results for total body lipids and triglycerides were inconclusive and inconsistent between species and exposure scenarios. Surveys were undertaken to determine the distribution of overwintering pupae of two species of Helicoverpa in south‐eastern Australia. The results indicate that significant populations of H. armigera have the potential to overwinter as pupae in the region under residues of their summer crop hosts. H. punctigera, conversely, was found not to overwinter in the region to any significant degree. The results also suggest that a high proportion of the overwintering H. armigera population are located in relatively few high risk fields. The overwintering population represents an ideal opportunity for control on an area‐wide basis using post harvest cultivation or “pupae busting”. The risk of overwintering H. armigera pupae occurring was largely associated with crop type, the mechanism being related to the date that the crop flowers, the level of pupal parasitism and the use of larval control measures. The results are discussed in terms of recommendations for farmers and it is suggested that a concerted effort to cultivate high risk fields has the potential to significantly reduce the population on an area‐wide basis. 相似文献

According to the author's and his collaborators' investigations, the climate influences the growth of rubber trees (Hevea brasiliensis) in Xishuangbanna, the southern part of Yunnan Province, China, in at least four aspects: (1) The yield of latex per tapping and the final yield of dry rubber per tree per year or per unit area per year; (2) the growth rate, as expressed by increment of girth in cm; (3) the survival during the over-wintering period; (4) the initiation or suppression of certain diseases; In this paper the author would like to describe the influence of climatic elements on yield of latex and on survival during the over-wintering period. The mature larvae of the soybean pod borer Leguminivora glycinivorella, spend over 9 months (October-next August) in the inactive state until pupation down to 3 cm below the surface in soil. Trehalose content of inactive larvae increases in early winter, attaining a maximum (ca 30 mg/g), and decreases in spring, with a concomitant decrease and increase of glycogen. The median supercooling points seasonally change from ?19.8°C (October) to ?25.0°C (February), and to ?17.0°C (June). The lower supercooling points in winter are in part due to the absence of unusually high values (> ?18°C). The increase in trehalose does not seem to be effective in depressing the supercooling points. The larvae are freeze-intolerant, but ambient temperatures in outdoor conditions are always above the supercooling points. The survival rates are very high throughout the inactive period. 相似文献

Culex annulirostris Skuse mosquitoes (Brisbane strain) were reared at 20 degrees C or 27 degrees C and the adult females were experimentally infected by feeding Murray Valley encephalitis virus (MVE). They were then maintained (a) in the insectary at 20 degrees C, after rearing at either 20 degrees C or 27 degrees C; (b) at ambient outdoor temperatures, range 12.2-28.9 degrees C, mean 19.6 degrees C; or (c) at 27 degrees C after rearing at 27 degrees C. There was no significant difference in rates of MVE infection or transmission when mosquitoes were reared and maintained constantly at 20 degrees C or 27 degrees C. However, for females kept at reduced temperature (i.e. mean = 19.6 degrees C or 20 degrees C after rearing at 27 degrees C), the infection and transmission rates of MVE were significantly reduced (2 x 8 replicates). This investigation illustrates that vector competence is depressed by decreasing temperatures for adult mosquitoes compared with those they experienced during development. Similar patterns were evident with previously published work on Japanese and St Louis encephalitis, dengue and yellow fever. The process appears to be reversible, i.e. increased temperature raises virus infection and transmission rates. It is concluded that, without incubation at warmer temperatures, flavivirus recovery from overwintering mosquitoes will be negatively biased. 相似文献

Regulation of hyperphagia in response to varying energy deficits in overwintering juvenile Atlantic salmon 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
Resident juvenile Atlantic salmon responded to a period of winter food restriction by subsequently increasing appetite when food again became available. This hyperphagy contributed to the restoration of an energy deficit (derived from a biometric estimation of body lipid reserves) incurred during the period of food restriction. The extent of this deficit influenced the duration of the hyperphagic response: those fish incurring the greatest fat losses maintained appetite longer than those with a smaller energy deficit. The initial feeding intensity of fish incurring a wide range of fat losses was found to be similar, indicating that fish were regulating the length as opposed to the intensity of the hyperphagic response in order to restore losses. The ecological implications of the results are discussed in relation to juvenile salmon overwintering strategies. 相似文献

For the last two decades dense mats of species of the filamentous green algaeEnteromorpha spp. have regulary occurred on tidal flats of Köningshafen Bay (island Sylt, North Sea, FRG). In calm areas overwintering of adult plants or plant fragments is a common process to guarantee the mass development during the next season. In contrast, the distribution ofEnteromorpha on exposed sandy tidal flats depends on recruitment by juvenile stages. In 1993Enteromorpha spore settlement was recorded regularly in the field. Polyethylene dishes were placed in the field and left for a period of seven days and lateron cultivated in the laboratory to checkEnteromorpha germling development. During summer 1993 — at a minimum distance of 200 m to the nearest adultEnteromorpha populations — a total of at least 82×106 spores m–2 settled. During winter the number of spores attached to the collecting dishes was close to zero and the adjacent sand flats were free of any visibleEnteromorpha plants. In further experiments it was shown that the development ofEnteromorpha juveniles in the next spring depended on the overwintering capacity of spores. More than 2×106 spores m–2 attached to large sand grains and other substrata (e.g. Hydrobia ulvae) survived the winter. In a laboratory experiment several species ofEnteromorpha were able to survive in total darkness for at least 10 months. 相似文献
