We studied how leaf litter, water and fungal pathogens affect the establishment, survivorship, and growth of Eucalyptus obliqua using glasshouse and field experiments. In a glasshouse experiment, the presence of leaf litter of E. obliqua increased the establishment of seedlings when the seeds were placed beneath the litter, but dense litter layers reduced seedling emergence when seeds were placed on top. Results from a complementary experiment suggest that the effect of litter may be mediated by the high humidity microenvironment it creates, which may enhance imbibition of unburied seeds. In another glasshouse experiment, litter in combination with excessive water applications reduced seedling emergence and increased seedling mortality, but the addition of fungicide reverted these effects. Litter with lower water application or fungicide added increased seedling emergence. In all cases higher biomass in seedlings growing in litter treatments was associated with earlier emergence. In two recently burnt sites, the density of seedlings of E. obliqua was positively correlated to the presence of litter. Experimental addition of litter in the field reduced soil temperature during the summer, and together with watering, increased soil water content, and the water potential of established seedlings. However, neither treatment had any positive effect on their growth or survivorship. On the contrary, litter addition reduced the height and number of leaves, probably as a result of increased herbivory. We conclude that in Mediterranean-type systems litter may produce various effects on seedling establishment depending on their developmental stage, and the season.  相似文献

灰茶尺蠖和茶尺蠖作为鳞翅目两个近缘种,是茶园最重要的两种害虫。目前化学农药仍是茶园防治尺蠖的重要手段,容易导致“3R”问题,不利于茶园的可持续发展。本文从农业防治、物理防治、生物防治、化学生态防治和化学防治五个方面就灰茶尺蠖和茶尺蠖的绿色防控进行了综述。强调加强茶园田间管理和尺蠖监测预警,合理布局茶树品种,强化保护利用茶园本土天敌,科学高效地协调使用核型多角体病毒、性诱、灯诱等技术,从而实现对灰茶尺蠖和茶尺蠖的绿色防控技术集成应用,减少其对茶树的危害,为茶园优质安全生产提供强有力的保障。  相似文献

【目的】尼古丁是茄科植物的重要生物碱,本文首次确定了硫酸烟碱对假眼小绿叶蝉Empoasca vitis G?the的驱避作用和田间防效,以及不同浓度硫酸烟碱对茶尺蠖Ectropis obliqua Prout的拒食作用。【方法】使用Y形嗅觉仪和T形观测室研究了假眼小绿叶蝉对硫酸烟碱的行为反应,使用叶碟法测试了硫酸烟碱对茶尺蠖的拒食作用。【结果】硫酸烟碱600倍稀释液和800倍稀释液处理茶梢分别对叶蝉若虫的寄主选择行为和雌成虫的产卵具有显著的驱避作用;田间喷施硫酸烟碱对假眼小绿叶蝉的防治效果较好。此外,硫酸烟碱对茶尺蠖幼虫具有拒食作用,并且拒食作用随着取食时间的延长而增强,取食8 d以后,死亡率显著高于对照。【结论】本研究结果为开发茶树害虫的植物源忌避(拒食)剂提供一定的科学参考。  相似文献

本文报告了高温季节茶尺蠖核型多角体病毒对其宿主繁殖的影响。结果表明,免于病死的雌性蛹、成虫的卵巢发育进度与对照相比,无显著性差异;3龄末和4、5龄初饲毒后,化蛹率与羽化率极显著下降,交配率一股明显下降,而羽化成虫的产卵前期、寿命、产卵量、总怀卵量及卵孵化率与对照相比并无显著差异。成虫饲毒后,繁殖力不受影响。  相似文献

Abstract Eucalypts from the subgenus Monocalyptus tend to be more abundant and dominate species from the subgenus Symphyomyrtus where they occur together in the mixed species stands of southeastern Australia. The differential impacts of herbivory by phytophagous insects has been postulated as a causal mechanism in the creation and maintenance of such stands. This research aimed to quantify phytophagous insect abundance and herbivory in mixed species juvenile regrowth of Eucalyptus globulus, E. viminalis (Symphyomyrtus), E. obliqua and E. pulchella (Monocalyptus} southwest of Hobart, Tasmania. Monocalyptus experienced a higher level of herbivory than Symphyomyrtus. However, mean damage levels were relatively low at less than 11% throughout. Furthermore, due to the positively skewed nature of herbivory data the mean was an inappropriate measure of central tendency; median damage levels ranged from 4.9% to 8.4%. Patterns of herbivory tended to be different for each eucalypt species: E. obliqua was particularly prone to chewing damage, E. pulchella and E. globulus suffered higher levels of distortion while E. viminalis was least affected by insect attack. Even though some trends in insect community structure seemed apparent at the level of eucalypt subgenus, closer examination revealed patterns of abundance were characteristic of each Eucalyptus species. The composition of foliar damage corresponded with the prominence of particular insect groups. Sucking insects tended to dominate the fauna except on E. obliqua where chewing insects in general, and chrysomelids in particular, were most prevalent. Both the distribution and magnitude of herbivory suggested that phytophagous insects had a negligible effect on competition between coexisting juvenile eucalypts and were unlikely to be responsible for the dominance of Monocalyptus or the maintenance of mixed species stands.  相似文献

A digestive protease from Spilosoma obliqua (Lepidoptera: Arctiidae) fifth instar larval guts was purified and characterized. The protease was purified using ammonium sulfate fractionation, ion-exchange chromatography, and hemoglobin-sepharose affinity chromatography. The purification procedure resulted in a 37-fold increase in the specific activity of the protease. Protease thus obtained was found to be electrophoretically pure under native and denaturing conditions. The purified protease had a molecular mass of 90 kDa as determined by gel filtration, and a pH optimum of 11.0. The purified protease optimally hydrolyzed casein at 50 degrees C. A Km of 2 x10(-6) M was obtained using BApNA as a substrate for the purified alkaline protease. The ability of S. obliqua protease and bovine trypsin to hydrolyze various synthetic substrates (BApNA, BAEE, and BAME), and the inhibition patterns of S. obliqua and bovine trypsin with "classical" trypsin inhibitors are also reported.  相似文献

为探讨茶园生态系中植物气味对茶尺蠖成虫行为的影响,遂以茶园群落中7种常见植物新鲜嫩梢为味源,设1.5、5.0、7.5、10.0、15.0、20.0g和30.0g剂量,洁净空气为CK1,用Y型嗅觉仪对茶尺蠖成虫进行的剂量反应结果为:①剂量为1.5g时寄主薄荷诱得的成虫数与CK1的差异显著;随着剂量增加,其诱得成虫数呈抛物线式递减;剂量为30.0g时其诱得成虫数显著小于CK1。②随着剂量的加大,寄主迷迭香、茶叶和吸毒草诱得成虫数呈抛物线式递增,剂量分别为7.5、10.0g和15.0g、以及10.0g时,3种寄主分别与CK1引诱成虫数的差异显著;当剂量再加大,3种寄主皆表现驱避效应,当剂量为30.0g时迷迭香诱得成虫数显著小于CK1。③当剂量为1.5g时,寄主万寿菊呈微弱引诱效应,当剂量再增加时则呈微弱驱避效应且驱避效应增强,当剂量为30.0g时其诱得成虫数显著小于CK1。④当剂量为5.0g时,寄主碰碰香无引诱或驱避效应;剂量为7.5g时,碰碰香呈微弱引诱效应;当剂量再增加时则呈微弱驱避效应。⑤当剂量为5.0、7.5、10.0g,非寄主薰衣草未呈现引诱或驱避;当剂量再增加时则呈驱避效应;当剂量为30.0g时其诱得成虫数显著小于CK1。再以正己烷为溶剂,取新鲜薄荷、万寿菊、茶叶嫩梢榨汁,汁液浸泡橡皮头24h以汲取气味,制成诱芯,气味以当量计算,即1.5g薄荷/诱芯、0.75g薄荷/诱芯、1.5g万寿菊/诱芯、1.5g茶叶/诱芯;以正己烷浸泡橡皮头24h作为CK2。诱芯附于土黄色粘板组成诱捕器,连续7d诱捕第5代成虫,每日更换色板,均有较强诱捕效应;从1.5g薄荷/诱芯、CK2、1.5g万寿菊/诱芯、0.75g薄荷/诱芯至1.5g茶叶/诱芯,诱效显著增加;1.5g薄荷/诱芯的诱效显著弱于CK2。在第5代茶尺蠖幼虫期,取1/6hm2茶园各3个作为诱捕小区,同样大小的3块茶园作为CK3,查虫口基数。第5代发蛾盛期,在每诱捕小区均匀放置5种诱捕器各7只,连续诱捕7日,每日更换色板,第6代幼虫虫口校正下降率30%。由试验结果认为:植物气味有效调节茶尺蠖成虫行为,薄荷诱效稍强于茶叶,熏衣草有驱避效应。  相似文献

从核型多角体病毒(PV)感染致死的茶尺蠖幼虫尸体中分离到一株微小RNA病毒(oPV)透射电镜观察纯化的病毒粒子为无囊膜、无表面特征、直径约26nm的球状颗粒.16%的SDS-PAGE显示它有两个分子量为31.5 kDa和28.8 kDa的衣壳蛋白,后者的含量是前者的2.5倍.3′端克隆序列分析表明EoPV基因组3′有poly(A)尾,编码RNA聚合酶(dRp)含有微小RNA病毒RNA聚合酶的八个保守基序,同源性分析表明它与榕透翅毒蛾微小RNA病毒(nPV)亲缘关系最近.这些特点表明该病毒为一株新的微小RNA病毒.  相似文献
