雌雄同体贝类精子的储存和利用规律一直是国内外贝类生物学研究的难点之一,本文利用活体解剖、显微观察、组织切片和扫描电镜技术,综合研究了平疣桑椹石磺(Platevindex mortoni)的生殖系统及精子储存场所。结果显示,其生殖系统包括生殖器本部、雌性生殖部分和雄性生殖部分。生殖器本部由两性腺、两性输送管、蛋白腺、黏液腺、支囊组成;雌性生殖部分包括输卵管、受精囊、阴道,位于身体中后方体腔内;雄性生殖部分包括输精管、刺激器、阴茎、阴茎鞘和阴茎牵引肌,位于身体前端右侧体腔内;其阴茎有阴茎鞘,阴茎表面布满倒刺。平疣桑椹石磺阴茎为直线状,无雄性附属腺。未交配的性成熟个体支囊内充满细长精子,受精囊内无精子;而交配后充当雌性个体的支囊内均为细长的自体精子,受精囊内有大量活力较强的粗短精子,其支囊为自体精子的存储场所,而受精囊为异体精子的存储场所。其精子储运情况为:两性腺内精子成熟后暂存于支囊,交配时通过输精管运输至阴茎,由阴茎输送精子至对方的阴道,异体精子进入受精囊内存储待用。  相似文献

小鼠精子表面SBA结合糖复合物的形成与变化   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
用HRP标记的大豆凝集素(SBA)对睾丸与附睾切片,以及取自附睾和子宫(交配后)内的精子进行了标记,旨在认识精子在发生、成熟和获能过程中表面糖复合物的形成与变化规律。在睾丸内,精母细胞和早期精子细胞胞质内有一强阳性颗粒,处于精子形成期的精子细胞呈弱阳性标记。附睾管内的精子团呈强阳性,附睾管上皮则仅在游离缘呈弱阳性。交配后1.5小时自子宫内洗出的精子,其顶体区的标记增至强阳性,但随着在子宫内存留时间的延长,标记强度逐渐减弱或消失。结果表明,1)精子表面的SBA结合糖复合物出现于精子形成期;2)在成熟和获能过程中精子表面的SBA结合糖复合物发生明显的变化  相似文献

目的探讨三种不同冷冻保护剂对C57BL/6J小鼠附睾冷冻的效果。方法性成熟并交配过的6~8周龄C57BL/6J雄鼠附睾,分别用3种不同冷冻保护剂二甲基亚砜(DMSO)、丙二醇(PROH)、R18S3进行玻璃化冷冻、复苏和精子采集,观察比较三个实验组的复苏精子形态、存活率以及生殖能力。结果三组冷冻复苏分离后的精子形态完整,具有镰刀头状结构;荧光染色后PROH组精子存活率为(88.17±3.43)%,明显高于DMSO组:(61.17±10.65)%和R18S3组(16.83±6.49)%(P0.05);经辅助体外受精后均具有受精能力。获得的胚胎移植后可得到正常子代小鼠(DMSO∶PROH∶R18S3=13∶8∶17)。结论 3种冷冻保护剂均适用于C57BL/6J小鼠附睾冷冻,但PROH冷冻效果较好。  相似文献

一般认为网蝽科及其近缘类群所特有的伪储精囊与其它半翅目异翅亚目昆虫的储精囊具有相同的储存精子的功能,但近期的功能形态学研究否定了伪储精囊的储精功能并认定其为雌性生殖附腺。本文从成虫性成熟过程中的内生殖系统发育角度,描述了菊方翅网蝽Corythucha marmorata的卵巢、侧输卵管、伪储精囊、精巢、精囊和雄性生殖附腺的结构及其形态变化。在成虫性成熟过程中,雄虫内生殖器官精囊和雄性附腺逐渐加长,且成熟期的雄性附腺充满粉红色分泌物;雌虫内生殖器官的成熟过程分为卵巢小管的卵室形成、卵黄沉积和卵粒成熟三个阶段,且排完卵后卵巢重新孕卵,出现周期性形态变化;交配时侧输卵管基部膨大为精液接受器,并接受精液(含精子和精浆);交配1d后侧输卵管恢复为正常状态,精液或至少部分精浆弥漫性渗入伪储精囊,并在伪储精囊内形成黄棕色沉积核;未交配雌虫的伪储精囊一直保持透明状,而已交配雌虫的伪储精囊具有明显的黄棕色沉积核。据精液传递和粉红色雄性生殖附腺分泌物渗入雌虫伪储精囊两个关键证据推断,菊方翅网蝽雌虫的伪储精囊具有储存精液的功能。  相似文献

利用半定量RT-PCR和原位杂交的方法检测Gstm2基因在成年雄性和雌性小鼠生殖器官中的表达,并初步评价其在生殖过程中的作用。在雄性小鼠的睾丸、附睾、输精管和雌性小鼠的卵巢、输卵管、子宫、胎盘中,半定量RT-PCR的方法均检测到Gstm2的表达,在胎盘中表达水平较低,其余组织表达水平较高。利用原位杂交的方法在睾丸的间质细胞检测出较强的信号,在附睾中有微弱的信号,而输精管上皮细胞没有检测到信号;在输卵管上皮细胞和妊娠第3d的子宫上皮细胞中检出较强的信号。由于Gstm2在RNA水平在小鼠的生殖器官中广泛表达,因此我们推测Gstm2可能在小鼠精子发生、睾酮合成、精子的成熟和运输、卵子的发生和运输、胚胎着床等生殖过程中发挥作用,此结果为深入研究Gstm2在生殖生理中的功能打下基础。  相似文献

用辣根过氧化物酶标记的ConA(伴刀豆素A)对小鼠睾丸与附睾切片,以及对取自附睾和子宫(交配后)内的精子涂片进行了标记,旨在认识精子在发生、成熟和获能过程中表面糖复合物的形成与变化。本研究表明,睾丸内的生精细胞和支持细胞均呈ConA标记阳性。附睾的输出小管和附睾管上皮细胞,ConA标记呈中度至强阳性,有部位的差别。附睾头和附睾尾内精子表面的标记无明显差别,标记位置均主要在顶体区和尾部。精子在子宫内存留1.5小时后,顶体后区出现中度阳性标记,但存留3小时和6小时后,顶体和顶体后区的标记均减弱或消失。这些结果提示,(1)精子发生期即可合成ConA结合糖复合物,(2)精子在附睾成熟过程中表面的ConA结合糖复合物无明显变化,(3)精子获能后顶体后区出现的ConA结合糖复合物可能与受精能力有关。  相似文献

蝮蛇短尾亚种雄性生殖周期属夏季型。精子发生于早春,到秋天完成。6月份曲细精管直径明显增大,管腔内偶见成熟的精子,9月份成熟的精子排入副睾及输精管中过冬。蝮蛇有春、秋两季交配活动,秋季交配后排入雌体的精子贮藏在输卵管及泄殖腔的皱壁内,供翌年卵成熟受精之用。  相似文献

描述了缘蛾蜡蝉Salurnis marginella(Guérin-Meneville)、八点广翅蜡蝉Ricania speculum(Walker)、斑衣蜡蝉Lycorma delicatula(White)及中华彩象蜡蝉Raivuna sinica(Walker)等4种蜡蝉的雌性生殖系统,并提供了相应的形态特征图。研究结果表明:4种蜡蝉的雌性内生殖系统均为双孔类型;交配管通过阴道与交配囊相连,不直接与交配囊相连;卵巢管为端滋式;阴道、交配囊和受精囊均为双层膜质结构,而卵巢管、侧输卵管则为单层膜质结构。明确了蜡蝉总科昆虫总输卵管与侧输卵管的连接方式,总输卵管为一端固定于阴道内膜,另一端游离于阴道内膜与外膜之间,朝向侧输卵管合并处的透明膜质管状结构。此外,雌性生殖系统中的交配囊、第1产卵瓣、阴道附腺、内生殖突、内生殖瓣等形态特征差异较大。研究标本保存于西北农林科技大学昆虫博物馆。  相似文献

目的通过度他雄胺对大鼠附睾精子和生育的影响,探索调节雄性生育的睾丸后作用靶点。方法使用度他雄胺20和40 mg/(kg.d)大鼠灌胃给药,连续2周。给药结束后雄雌鼠按1∶2合笼,计算生殖指数;采用计算机辅助精子分析系统分析精子活力和形态;采用SYBR-14和PI双重荧光染色计算精子存活率;采用Elisa法测定大鼠睾酮(T)和双氢睾酮(DHT)血清浓度;采用HE染色法对各组睾丸、附睾进行组织学分析。结果度他雄胺低、高剂量组双氢睾酮浓度均显著下降,分别为0.54和0.28 nmol/L(P<0.01),精子活力明显降低,分别为39.0%和28.7%(P<0.01),畸形率分别增加为10.3%和15.6%(P<0.05),最后受孕率分别降为62.5%和38.4%。而睾酮水平和交配指数均无明显变化(P>0.05),睾丸和附睾亦无明显病理学改变。结论度他雄胺通过抑制DHT生成,影响附睾精子成熟而导致大鼠不育,为今后男性避孕和不育药物研发提供了新思路。  相似文献

雌性的精子储存是一类自然界广泛发生的生理现象,主要包括精子进入雌性生殖道、暂时储存于雌性生殖道以及重新激活释放等过程。雌性精子储存是体内受精的动物异步交配与排卵的生殖基础,在不同物种之间存在一定的差异性。影响雌性动物精子储存的因素众多,其中最重要的是不同物种间形态各异的精子储存结构,这是导致不同动物精子储存时间差异的直接原因。此外,还有很多生理过程和生物因子调控雌性生殖道内的精子储存时长,包括脂质的代谢、抗氧化水平的调节、微酸性pH微环境的维持、免疫反应的抑制等,面对类似的生理需求,雌性储存精子的机制在物种之间可能具有一定的保守性。该文综述不同物种雌性精子储存的结构差异和调控机制,解读生物精子储存的多样性,为进一步探索雌性精子储存机制提供思路。  相似文献

Animal pigmentation is incredibly diverse, serving a variety of functions. However, the function of the pigmentation that surrounds the testes of some vertebrates is unknown. Why are the tissues surrounding the testes (scrotum, tunica vaginalis and/or tunica albuginea) melanized in some species but not others? We examined this question in bats, where there is extensive species-specific variation in the presence of darkly pigmented (melanized) tissues surrounding the male gonads, as well as diversity in their ecologies, mating systems, and physiologies. Using data from 136 species of bats, we found that melanin surrounding the testes and epididymis is associated with more exposed roosting sites (presumably with greater sun exposure- and UV radiation), and with the occurrence of long-term male sperm storage. These findings suggest that scrotal melanin may protect mature sperm from UV damage, and from oxidative damage in species with male sperm storage. We found no evidence of an association between group size or mating system with reproductive melanin, or that phylogeny explains the distribution of pigmentation. Although our study suggests that scrotal melanin may protect sperm, the mechanism remains unknown. We outline several avenues for future work on reproductive pigmentation aimed at investigating additional roles of reproductive melanization in male bats.  相似文献

Female long-tongued bats which had been maintained in sexually segregated groups in captivity for more than 8 months were bred and killed at various intervals between Days 1 and 25 post coitum. Their reproductive tracts were then examined histologically. In 20 of the 28 bats carrying tubal embryos the remnants of 1-4 other ova were also observed in the oviductal ampullae. These remnants consisted of intact zonae pellucidae containing cellular debris, empty zonae, and/or zona fragments. Since long-tongued bats are monovular, the remnants had apparently been retained in the oviducts from previous, non-fertile reproductive cycles. In 27 of the 31 bats carrying implanting blastocysts, zonae pellucidae probably shed by the embryos had been retained in the oviducts. The remnants of 1-3 ova were also observed in the oviductal ampullae of 22 of the 31 bats carrying uterine blastocysts. In at least 14 of these bats the embryos had by-passed ovum remnants in the oviducts on their way to the uterus. No evidence of such remnants was found in the oviducts of 17 animals with tubal or uterine embryos, although old, as well as new, CL were present in the ovaries.  相似文献

Several species of bats contain pigment granules within the scrotal skin, tunica vaginalis, or tunica albuginea surrounding the testis and/or epididymis. Seventy-two species of bats, representing 49 genera were examined for the presence of such pigmentation. Histological, chemical and spectrophotometric tests were performed and confirmed the pigment as melanin. Melanin was found only in the families Pteropidae, Megadermatidae, Myzopodidae and Vespertilionidae. A strong correlation exists between scrotal pigmentation and roosting in locations where the bats are exposed to solar radiation. Melanin pigmentation in the scrotal region appears to be an adaption protecting male germinal tissue from the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation. In one species, Laoiu frons , melanin deposited within the scrotal skin appears to have a social/reproductive communication function.  相似文献

Comparative morphological analysis of the female reproductive tract in macroglossine bats was undertaken to test the hypothesis that nectarivory arose at least twice within Old World fruit bats. Given that features of the female reproductive tract are not directly involved in adaptations for feeding, this data set should provide a test of the monophyly of macroglossine bats. A cladistic analysis of variation in the structure of the ovaries, oviducts, uterus, and external genitalia supports the hypothesis that Megaloglossus has developed a nectar-feeding habit independent of other macroglossine genera. Most of the variation in female reproductive organs among pteropodids is found in the development of derived external and internal features of the uterus. Fusion of uterine cornua, expansion of the common uterine body, and elaboration of the cervical region are found in a group which includes species of Pteropus, Dobsonia, Nyctimene, and the macroglossines (excluding Megaloglossus). Results of this study are concordant with independent data sets, thus providing a phylogenetic framework to evaluate critically structural and functional design in the evolution of pteropodid feeding mechanisms.  相似文献

菲菊头蝠是分布于亚热带和热带的翼手目种类,在中国大陆南部和海南岛有广泛分布。为探讨热带菲菊头蝠是否具有冬眠期(12 月至翌年2 月)储精现象及生殖腺组织结构的变化,对海南岛的菲菊头蝠成年雄蝠和成年雌蝠生殖系统在冬眠期间的变化进行了石蜡切片观察。结果显示:成年雄蝠在冬眠期间附睾内储存大量精子,推测其储存时间超过2 个月;冬眠期间曲细精管横截面积、精子细胞数量和间质细胞数量在冬眠期逐月显著性减少,精原细胞和精母细胞的数量在12 月与翌年1 月间均无显著性变化,而在冬眠末期的2 月显著增多。在雌蝠子宫和卵巢内均未发现精子储存现象,但卵巢内具有初级卵泡和次级卵泡,雄蝠在冬眠期间曲细精管逐月萎缩,但生精上皮精母细胞的数量在冬眠末期明显上升。  相似文献

Sperm storage is common in the oviducts of female snakes and results in the decoupling of mating from ovulation and fertilization. In the majority of female snakes examined, sperm storage occurs in receptacles of the infundibular regions of the oviducts. In pitvipers (Viperida, Crotalinae), the storage of sperm was described in the caudal regions of the oviducts (utero-vaginal junction) through a mechanism termed uterine muscular twisting (UMT). Uterine muscular twisting was described as a twisting of the oviducts after copulation because of uterine contractions. The twisting remains until ovulation at which time the oviducts straighten and sperm migrate cranially to fertilize ovulated ova. Here, we demonstrate that the UMT is not formed by twisting (rotation around axis) of the oviducts of Crotalus durissus but rather coils formed by the inner layers of the oviducts at the utero-vaginal junction. Contrary to previous findings, coiling of the oviducts is present in females throughout the year, not only in the postcopulatory period; however, the degree of coiling is variable and may be linked to the seasonal reproductive cycle of C. durissus. We categorize the degree of coiling as pronounced coil, discreet coil or absent coil.  相似文献

The bat Corynorhinus mexicanus provides an interesting experimental model for the study of epididymal sperm maturation because after spermatogenesis and the regression of the testes, this bat stores sperm in the epididymal cauda for several months. Earlier research conducted by our group suggested that sperm maturation in this species must be completed in the caudal region of the epididymis. One of the major signal transduction events during sperm maturation is the tyrosine phosphorylation of sperm proteins. The aim of the present study was to comparatively evaluate tyrosine phosphorylation in spermatozoa obtained from the caput, corpus and cauda of the epididymis during the sperm storage period. The maturation status of the sperm was determined by the percentage of capacitation and tyrosine phosphorylation in sperm obtained from the epididymis. The highest proportion of tyrosine phosphorylation was registered after the sperm had reached the cauda epididymis during the middle of the storage period. In conclusion, in Corynorhinus mexicanus and most likely in other chiropteran species with an asynchronous male reproductive pattern, epididymal sperm maturation ends in the caudal region of the epididymis and is related to the time that the sperm remains in the epididymis before mating activity.  相似文献

Observations were made on the reproductive biology of black mastiff bats maintained in a laboratory colony. Many of the females were inseminated within 24 h after the introduction of the males, and most exhibited a period of 10-50 days during which spermatozoa were present in their vaginal smears almost every day. The frequency of sperm-positive smears began to fall off around the time of implantation, but some smears taken much later in pregnancy were positive. The extent to which spermatozoa in the smears came from reservoirs in the female tract could not be thoroughly investigated, but evidence was obtained that the females have more than a limited period of oestrus. Female courtship behaviour and new copulations were sometimes observed many days after the start of the breeding activity. Also, histological studies of the reproductive tracts of females which had recently mated revealed that many were not in a periovulatory condition. Intact spermatozoa were usually found in the uterine horns and distal oviducts of preovulatory bats and those carrying tubal ova. Spermatozoa were absent from the oviducts of animals bearing early uterine embryos, and were much less abundant in the uterine horns after the start of implantation. Many of the excess spermatozoa appeared to have been expelled into the upper cervix where phagocytic leucocytes were commonly observed in the lumen. Some sperm components were also taken up by epithelial cells in the oviducts and uterine horns.  相似文献

1. The distribution of body sizes among mammalian species has been modelled by Brown, Marquet & Taper (1993), who suggest that reproductive power (the rate at which energy from the environment is channelled into offspring production) is maximized at a size of 100 g, and the observed size distribution among species reflects the way reproductive power depends on size. The model makes a testable prediction about life-history allometries: namely, that components of reproductive power should not scale linearly with body size but should change sign at the optimum size.
2. A large set of life-history data from a single clade of small mammals, the bats (Order: Chiroptera), was analysed to test this key prediction. The analyses in this study offer no support for the idea that allometries of reproductive power change sign in bats, either at 100 g or at any other size. Furthermore the life-history allometries of bats, which are mostly below the 100 g optimum, were broadly the same as in mammalian taxa larger than the optimum size.
3. These findings together contradict a key prediction of Brown et al. 's (1993) model to explain the skewed body size distribution across mammalian species.  相似文献

Ectoparasitic batflies were studied on 12 species of phyllostomid bats, by making 35 nightly collections of bats using mist nets at the "Panga" Ecological Reservation near Uberlandia, State of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil, from August 1989 to July 1990. Eleven species of Streblidae and one of Nycteribiidae were collected on 12 species of bats. Prevalence of ectoparasitic flies was lower than those reported by other authors for the New World and may be the result of the lack of caves in the study area, causing bats to roost in less favorable locations, forming smaller colonies. The fly, Trichobius joblingi Wenzel, was found on Carollia perspicillata (Linnaeus), showing preference for adult male bats. This could be explained by the predominance of males in the bat colonies, and by the fact that females rest in isolation during the reproductive period making them less exposed to the parasites. The streblid flies, Aspidoptera falcata Wenzel and Megistopoda proxima (Séguy), were found on Sturnira lilium (Geoffroy). A. falcata occurred mainly on young and adult females, whereas M. proxima did not show any preferences relative to the reproductive condition of the host. Ecological factors are important in determining differential numbers of parasites occurring on the different sexes, ages and reproductive state of the hosts.  相似文献
