Parasabella Bush, 1905, replacement name for the polychaete genus Demonax Kinberg, 1867 (Annelida, Polychaeta, Sabellidae)

Parasabella Bush, 1905 is reintroduced as a replacement name for Demonax Kinberg, 1867 (Annelida: Polychaeta: Sabellidae) which is a junior homonym of Demonax Thomson, 1860 (Insecta: Coleoptera: Cerambycidae).     

寡毛金花天牛的新异名

奥地利天牛分类学家Holzschuh(1993)根据四川标本描述了C.anrotes(Carilia)glabricollis Holzschuh,1993.因该学名已被光胸金花天牛Gaurotes (Neogaurotes )glabricollis Pu,1992占用,Holzschuh(1998)为其拟定了替换学名Gaurotes (Carilia )glabratula Holzschuh,1998.后来,蒋书楠、陈力(2001)也为这个异物同名拟定了一个不必要的替换学名寡毛金花天牛Gaurotes(Carilia)oligothrix Chiang,2001.根据<国际动物命名法规>(第4版),Gaurotes (Carilia)glabratula Holzschuh,1998享有优先权,因此Gaurotes(Carilia)oligothrix Chiang,2001成为客观次异名.     

天牛科二中国新记录种记述（鞘翅目）

记述采自广西大明山自然保护区的天牛科2中国新记录种:斯维颠花天牛Saligranta svihlai(Holzschuh,1989)和少瘤星天牛Anoplophora granata Holzschuh,1993。     

中国锯翅天牛属一新纪录种及黑翅锯翅天牛雄性描记(鞘翅目,天牛科,天牛亚科)(英文)

报道了采自中国云南省的天牛科锯翅天牛属1新纪录种,银毛锯翅天牛Microdebilissa argentifera(Holzschuh,1984),详细描述了新纪录种的形态特征;补充描述了黑翅锯翅天牛 Microdebilissa atripennis(Pu,1992)的雄性特征;提供了分布于中国的锯翅天牛属的昆虫名录。研究标本保存于西南大学昆虫标本馆。     

Contributions to the taxonomy of Sabellidae (Polychaeta)

The genus Potamilla Malmgren is particularly characterized by dorsal lips which lack any radiolar midrib; Pseudopotamilla Bush by compound radiolar eyes, dorsal collar lappets and flanges alongside the bases of the most dorsal radioles; Demonax Kinberg by a wide dorsal collar gap and companion setae with big heads and narrow blades; and Potamethus Chamberlin by an elongated first segment, enlarged ventral sacs, very long shafts to the thoracic uncini, and inferior abdominal setae much shorter than the superior ones. Perkinsiana gen. nov . lacks most of these characters, but the type species 'Potamilla' rubra Langerhans is remarkable in having red blood. It bores into limestone abundantly off S Wales and is here redescribed. Oriopsis hynensis sp. nov . from SW Ireland has a smooth collar set low on the first segment, with its ventral margin entire and free from the apex of the peristome. The new name Demonax langerhansi is proposed for Sabella (Potamilla) incerta Langerhans non Demonax incertus Kinberg.     

A revision of the genus Amamiclytus Ohbayashi from Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae)

The clytine genus Amamiclytus Ohbayashi, 1964, from Taiwan and the Ryukyu Islands is revised. Seven species and one subspecies are recognized as follows: Amamiclytus nobuoi nobuoi Ohbayashi, 1964, (Amami Islands); Amamiclytus nobuoi akusekianus Niisato, 2005, (Tokara Islands); Amamiclytus subnitidus Holzschuh, 1984, (Taiwan); Amamiclytus setigersp. n. (Taiwan), Amamiclytus nubilussp. n. (Taiwan), Amamiclytus junisp. n. (Taiwan), Amamiclytus yulongisp. n. (Taiwan) and Amamiclytus hirtipes (Matsushita, 1940), comb. n. (Taiwan). All of them are described or redescribed and a key to species is presented. The generic features of Amamiclytus, including male and female genitalia from these taxa, are presented. The systematic position of Amamiclytus within the tribe Clytini is discussed.     

A new species of Megalommum Szépligeti (Hymenoptera, Braconidae, Braconinae); a parasitoid of the pistachio longhorn beetle (Calchaenesthes pistacivora Holzschuh; Coleoptera, Cerambycidae) in Iran

A new species of the genus Megalommum Szépligeti (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Braconinae), reared from the pistachio longhorn beetle (Calchaenesthes pistacivora Holzschuh; Coleoptera: Cerambycidae), is described and illustrated. The genera Curreia Ashmead, 1900 and Endovipio Turner, 1922 are new synonyms of Megalommum Szépligeti, 1900. Notes on the biology of Megalommum pistacivoraesp. n. and a key to the West Palaearctic and Oriental species are added. The following new combinations are given: Megalommum xanthoceps (Fahringer, 1928), comb. n.,Megalommum jacobsoni (Tobias, 1968), comb. n.,Megalommum ayyari (Watanabe, 1950), comb. n.,Megalommum philippinense (Baker, 1917), comb. n.,Megalommum dodecanesi(Ferrière, 1922), comb. n.,Megalommum ceresense (Turner, 1922), comb. n., Megalommum inareatum (Granger, 1949), comb. n.,Megalommum antefurcale (Szépligeti, 1915) comb. n. and Megalommum tibiale (Ashmead, 1906), comb. n.     

Revision of the genus Thermistis Pascoe 1867, with descriptions of three new species (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae: Lamiinae: Saperdini)

The genus Thermistis Pascoe 1867 is revised. T. croceocincta conjunctesignata Rondon & Breuning 1971 is upgraded to a species and newly recorded from China and Myanmar. T. xanthomelas Holzschuh 2007 is newly recorded from Vietnam, Laos and Myanmar. T. sulphureonotata Pu 1984 is newly recorded from Vietnam and Laos. Three new species are described from China: T. hainanensis Lin & Yang n. sp. from Hainan Island, T. kaiyuni Chou & Kurihara n. sp. from Taiwan Island and T. cheni Lin & Chou n. sp. from Yunnan and Sichuan provinces. Photographs of habitus and terminalia and a key to the eleven valid species of Thermistis are presented.     

Diversity of reproductive features in some Antarctic polynoid and sabellid polychaetes, with a description of Demonax polarsterni sp. n. (Polychaeta, Sabellidae)

The Polynoidae and Sabellidae represent two polychaete families with contrasting life habits and different phylogenetic constraints. Species of both families studied in this work were collected on the shelf of the Eastern Weddell Sea (Antarctica) during the EASIZ-I (1996) and EASIZ-II (1998) expeditions. Among the Polynoidae, three different species of the genus Harmothoe were observed to brood eggs under the dorsal elytra, which is an uncommon feature in this family. The egg size of all brooding taxa ranged between 120 and 216 µm. Three Sabellidae species were studied: Myxicola cf sulcata is gonochoric with eggs among the largest (up to 1000 µm) recorded for the sabellids. Eggs, as well as larvae, are incubated within the branchial crown, a feature newly discovered for the genus Myxicola. Demonax polarsterni n. sp. (a newly discovered taxon) and Euchone pallida are gonochoric and possess relatively large eggs (350 µm and 270 µm, respectively). In comparison with cogeneric species of temperate areas, the Antarctic Sabellidae have larger egg dimensions and egg brooding that seems unconstrained by adult size.
