The effects of chilling at 14 and 7°C on plant growth, CO2 assimilation, light allocation, photosynthetic electron flux and antioxidant metabolism were examined in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv. Jinyan No. 4, CS) plants with figleaf gourd (Cucurbita ficifolia Bouché, CF) and cucumber as rootstocks, respectively. Growth inhibition by chilling at 7°C was characterized by irreversible inhibition of CO2 assimilation in grafted plants with cucumber as rootstock and scion (CS/CS) but this effect was significantly alleviated by grafting onto CF roots (CS/CF). Chilled CS/CF plants exhibited a higher photosynthetic activity and lower proportion of energy dissipation than chilled CS/CS plants. Chilling resulted in a greater decrease in the electron flux in photosystem (PS) II (J PSII) than the rate of energy dissipation either via light-dependent (J NPQ) or via constitutive thermal dissipation and fluorescence (J f,D) in CS/CS plants. In parallel with the reduction in J PSII, electron flux to oxygenation (J o) and carboxylation by Rubisco (J c) all decreased significantly whilst alternative electron flux in PS II (J a) increased, especially in CS/CS plants. Moreover, CS/CF plants exhibited higher activity of antioxidant enzymes, lower antioxidant content and less membrane peroxidation relative to CS/CS plants after chilling.  相似文献

研究了西瓜实生苗和以黑籽南瓜、超丰F1为砧木的嫁接苗的耐冷性及活性氧清除系统的差异.结果表明,低温胁迫下,嫁接苗的耐冷性明显高于实生苗,表现为以黑籽南瓜为砧木的嫁接苗的耐冷性>以超丰F1为砧木的嫁接苗>实生苗,此外嫁接苗和实生苗均表现为叶片中叶绿素含量下降,丙二醛(MDA)含量上升,非酶促抗氧化剂抗坏血酸(AsA)、谷胱甘肽(GSH)含量和抗氧化酶超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、抗坏血酸过氧化物酶(AsA-POD)、脱氢抗坏血酸还原酶(DR)活性下降,说明低温逆境降低了植物体防御活性氧有关的酶促和非酶促保护系统能力,提高了体内自由基浓度,加剧了膜脂过氧化.嫁接苗的活性氧清除能力均高于自根苗,且嫁接苗中耐冷性越强的活性氧清除能力越高,说明西瓜嫁接后耐冷性的提高是与植物体内活性氧清除系统中抗氧化剂含量和抗氧化酶活性提高有关。  相似文献

以设施栽培黄瓜为材料。研究了常温弱光和低温弱光胁迫期间以及随后的恢复过程中植株生长和抗氧化酶的变化.结果表明,常温弱光和低温弱光胁迫分别导致黄瓜植株生长减缓和停滞。根系活力下降.低温弱光处理过程中。SOD和GPOD活性上升,并以7℃处理尤为明显。但在恢复过程中这些酶的活性均恢复至对照水平.常温弱光对SOD活性影响不大,但在恢复过程中SOD活性则上升到一个比对照更高的水平,GPOD活性在弱光处理5d后迅速上升,恢复期间呈下降趋势.此外,常温弱光和低温弱光胁迫均造成MDA累积。  相似文献

Summary In cells of developing pea cotyledons fixed at ambient temperature, electron-dense cisternae often encircle vacuoles and occasionally are continuous with vacuolar protein deposits. In cotyledons chilled prior to fixation, the cisternae are present as an anastomosing network of channels that make multiple contacts with vacuolar protein. It is suggested that during fixation at ambient temperature, many of the contacts with vacuoles are lost and that much of the complexity of the network is lost, giving way to a system of largely unbranched cisternae. The network may be a mobile phase involved in reserve protein accumulation and concentration within the vacuole.  相似文献

Theeffects of spermine on abscisic acid (ABA), hardening, and browning in storedmangosteen fruit were investigated. The hardening and browning, which areassociated with chilling injury (CI), were observed in only the skin of fruitstored at 7 °C. However, the hardening of skin was notaccompanied by moisture loss. The spermine treatment decreased the browning andhardening of the skin and extended storage time. Carbon dioxide(CO2)production from stored fruit gradually increased with d in storage(DIS). The increase of CO2 may be associated with the moisture lossbecause these levels coincided. ABA concentrations in the skin were highest infruit stored at 7 °C, followed by spermine treatment at 7°C, and the lowest at 13 °C. That is, thespermine treatment inhibited the increase of ABA in the skin of stored fruit.ABA concentrations in the skin may be associated with the degree of CI becausetheir fluctuations coincided. ABA metabolism in fruit stored at 7°C or 13 °C was also examined. The PA-DPApathway may not be the primary pathway of ABA metabolism because theconcentrations of PA and DPA were very low compared with those of ABA. ABAconcentrations in the aril were not significantly different between 7°C and 13 °C. This may be related to the lackof CI observed in the aril. ABA metabolism was different at each temperature.The decrease of ABA and the increase of DPA correlated at 13°C, however this correlation was not observed at 7°C. 近年来对植物耐冷性分子机理的研究不断深入。主要体现在以下4个方面:植物的冷敏感性可以通过调节膜脂的不饱和脂肪酸水平得到调控,调节的途径是通过酰脂去饱和酶和甘油-3-磷酸酰基转移酶的作用;利用转基因技术在植物中超表达抗氧化酶基因,如编码SOD、APX、CAT和GR等的基因,可望提高耐冷性;植物低温逆境信号转导的研究表明,ABA不仅是重要的低温逆境信号,而且可调节冷害下基因的表达,Ca^2 是一个主要的第二信使,蛋白激酶途径也参与了植物冷害的信号转导;低温诱导的蛋白或酶类主要有脱水蛋白和热稳定蛋白。  相似文献

随着蔬菜反季节栽培面积的不断扩大,如何提高黄瓜(Cucumis sativus L.)耐冷性已成为选育新品种的研究重点.系统地综述近几年黄瓜耐冷性的鉴定、获得途径、冷害机理以及遗传和分子遗传学等方面的研究,以促进对黄瓜冷害机制的研究,加速耐冷品种的培育.耐冷性鉴定时要从耐冷指数、低温发芽能力、MDA(丙二醛)含量和电解质渗漏率等几个方面综合鉴定.耐冷性的获得途径主要有冷驯化、激素处理、热激处理和培育耐低温品种,最重要的途径是耐冷品种选育.黄瓜冷害机理包括细胞膜的流动性降低及透性增加,光合作用被抑制,根系吸收减弱,可溶性糖含量减少,淀粉粒积累增加,微管的稳定性受到破坏等.黄瓜低温发芽能力由非加性基因决定,而幼苗时期主要由加性基因控制.黄瓜耐冷的分子遗传学研究进展缓慢,目前已克隆出在低温锻炼中特异表达的功能未知的基因CCRl8.今后还应研究黄瓜低温胁迫时的信号转导系统,以进一步揭示黄瓜的冷害机理;利用野生资源的抗逆性状,拓宽栽培黄瓜的遗传基础,选育适于保护地栽培的耐低温品种.  相似文献

Low temperature during germination and early seedling growth is one of the most significant limiting factors in the productivity of plants. Tomato seedling germination is sensitive to chilling stress. Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), as a non-protein amino acid, involved in various stress tolerances in plants. In this study, 5-day old tomato seedlings were exposed to chilling stress (2 ± 0.05 °C for 48 h) and then the effects of 0, 100, 250, 500 and 750 μmolL−1 concentrations of GABA on electrolyte leakage, proline and malondialdehyde (MDA) content were investigated. The resultS showed that the antioxidant enzyme activity, electrolyte leakage, MDA and proline content were significantly reduced by GABA treatments. However under chilling stress seedlings treated with GABA exhibited significantly higher sugar and proline contents as compared to un-treated seedlings. These results suggest that GABA treatment protects tomato seedlings from chilling stress by enhancing some antioxidant enzymes activity and reducing MDA content which results in maintaining membrane integrity.  相似文献

A well‐timed phenology is essential for plant growth and reproduction, but species‐specific phenological strategies are still poorly understood. Here, we use a common garden approach to compare biannual leaf‐out data for 495 woody species growing outdoors in Munich, 90% of them not native to that climate regime. For three species, data were augmented by herbarium dates for 140‐year‐long time series. We further meta‐analysed 107 temperate‐zone woody species in which leaf‐out cues have been studied, half of them also monitored here. Southern climate–adapted species flushed significantly later than natives, and photoperiod‐ and chilling‐ sensitive species all flushed late. The herbarium method revealed the extent of species‐specific climate tracking. Our results forecast that: (1) a northward expansion of southern species due to climate warming will increase the number of late flushers in the north, counteracting documented and expected flushing time advances; and (2) photoperiod‐ and chilling‐sensitive woody species cannot rapidly track climate warming.  相似文献
