Factors affecting incidence and severity of leaf spot disease on lettuce caused by Septoria birgitae
In the 1990s during wet seasons a new disease causing brown leaf spots on lettuce (Lactuca sativa) was found for the first time in many lettuce‐growing areas of Austria and Germany. The causal agent, a new pathogenic species called Septoria birgitae, may be responsible for total crop loss. To study how temperature, inoculum density and leaf wetness period influence disease incidence and severity of leaf spot on lettuce caused by S. birgitae, we carried out in vivo experiments in growth chambers and in the field. Additionally, we evaluated the relevance of infected plant debris acting as a primary inoculum source in soil for subsequent crops. S. birgitae produces spores over a wide temperature range between 5°C and 30°C, and can infect plants at temperatures between 10°C and 30°C, with an optimum between 20°C and 30°C. Spores of S. birgitae at a density of at least 103 conidia mL–1 are essential for disease outbreak on lettuce. Because leaf wetness is crucial for releasing conidia from pycnidia, we studied the impact of leaf wetness duration on disease development under various temperature conditions. For relevant leaf spot disease development on lettuce in vivo, a leaf wetness duration of at least 24 h and temperatures higher than 10°C were necessary. Leaf spot disease development in the field required several leaf wetness periods longer than 20 h at approximately 15°C at the beginning of crop cultivation. Incorporating S. birgitae infected plant debris in soil as a primary inoculum was not relevant for leaf spot disease outbreak in the next year. However, in cases of continuous cropping of lettuce on the same field and in the same season, Septoria‐infected lettuce debris may become more relevant. 相似文献

We investigated the circadian synchronization/desynchronization (by field-study assessment of differences in period, τ, of 16 coexisting and well-documented rhythms) of 30 healthy firemen (FM) exposed to irregular, difficult, and stressful nocturnal work hours who demonstrated excellent clinical tolerance (allochronism). Three groups of FM were studied (A?=?12 FM on 24-h duty at the fire station; B?=?9 FM on 24-h duty at the emergency call center; C?=?9 day-shift administrative FM) of mostly comparable average age, body mass index, career duration, chronotype—morningness/eveningness, and trait of field dependence/independence. The self-assessed 16 circadian rhythms were (i) physiological ones of sleep-wake (sleep log), activity-rest (actography), body temperature (internal transmitter pill probe), right- and left-hand grip strength (hand dynamometer), systolic and diastolic blood pressure (BP) plus heart rate (ambulatory BP monitoring device); (ii) psychological ones (visual analog self-rating scales) of sleepiness, fatigue, fitness for work, and capacity to cope with aggressive social behavior; and (iii) cognitive ones of eye-hand skill and letter cancellation, entailing performance speed (tasks completed/unit time) and accuracy (errors). Data (4–6 time points/24?h; 2 591 480 values in total) were gathered continuously throughout two 8-d spans, one in winter 2010–2011 and one in summer 2011. Each of the resulting 938 unequal-interval time series was analyzed by a special power spectrum analysis to objectively determine the prominent τ. The desynchronization ratio (DR: number of study variables with τ?=?24.0?h/number of study variables?×?100) served to ascertain the strength/weakness of each rhythm per individual, group, and season. The field study confirmed, independent of group and season, coexistence of rather strong and weak circadian oscillators. Interindividual differences in DR were detected between groups and seasons (χ2, correlation tests, analysis of variance [ANOVA]). Moreover, in each group, both in winter and summer, a normal distribution was observed in the number of FM with rhythms with τ?=?24.0?h, e.g., ranging from 5/16 (large desynchronization) to 16/16 (no desynchronization). Such a normal distribution with intraindividual stability over time (i.e., seasons) is consistent with the hypothesis of an inherited origin of a differential propensity to circadian desynchronization and which is supported by the distribution of τs in winter and summer following the Dian-Circadian Genetic Model, i.e., with τ?=?24.0?h, τ?=?24.0?h?+?n(0.8?h), and τ?=?24.0?h???n(0.8?h). 相似文献

以柑橘砧木枳实生苗为试材,研究水培条件下N、P、 K、Ca、Mg、Fe和Mn等7种营养元素分别缺乏对其根系主根长度、侧根数和主、侧根根毛密度、根毛长度及根毛直径等的影响.结果表明: 水培条件下,不同缺素处理枳实生幼苗的根毛均能生长,但根毛主要集中在近根基段,根尖处分布较少;侧根的根毛密度显著大于主根,而其根毛长度显著小于主根.不同缺素处理对根毛的生长发育影响较大,主根根毛密度为55.0~174.3 条·mm-2.与对照相比,缺Ca诱发主根的根毛密度、长度显著增加;缺P使主根的根基段、中段及侧根的根毛密度、长度显著增加;缺Fe使主根根尖段根毛密度显著增加,而长度显著降低;缺K使主根、侧根的根毛密度、长度及根毛直径均显著降低;缺Mg使主根根毛长度显著增加.各处理主根的生长较一致;侧根除缺N、Mg处理外,其他处理均出现脱落后再生的现象. 相似文献

目的应用免疫组化技术和电生理技术记录心肌细胞/胶原复合体对心梗大鼠梗死周边区的有效不应期(ERP)及缝隙连接蛋白43(Cx43)改变,探讨梗死周边区的电偶联网络变化。方法将成年SD大鼠随机分组:假手术组、模型组、移植组。后2组制作心肌梗死动物模型,假手术组仅开胸,不结扎冠状动脉,移植组移植心肌细胞与胶原材料复合组织。结果①左室ERP变化:与假手术组相比,心梗组梗死周边区ERP显著延长(P〈0.01);移植组梗死周边区ERP延长,但较心梗阻ERP缩短,差异无显著性(P〉0.01)。②Cx43免疫组化结果:移植组Cx43阳性蛋白表达高于心梗组。结论移植的心肌细胞/胶原复合体移植可改善大鼠心肌梗死周边区缝隙连接电偶联网络,进而调控心肌细胞/胶原复合体与宿主心肌同步收缩。 相似文献

目的 调查分析育龄妇女妊娠期需氧菌性阴道感染的发病率.方法 采用Donders高倍镜湿片镜检法联合细菌预成酶快速检测法对长兴县妇幼保健医院产前门诊常规孕检的育龄孕妇的阴道分泌物进行检查.结果 201例育龄孕妇中,共检出需氧菌性阴道感染患者36例,占总人数的17.9%.其中,孕早期、孕中期及孕晚期孕妇需氧菌增殖例数分别为5(占7.2%,5/69)、4(占7.4%,4/54)及6(占7.7%,6/78);孕早期、孕中期及孕晚期孕妇需氧菌阴道炎例数分别为7(占10.1%,7/69)、6(占11.1%,6/54)及8(占10.3%,8/78).结论 在妊娠早、中及晚期均会出现需氧菌性阴道感染,临床医生应采取合理有效的措施进行及时治疗,防止阴道上行感染的发生. 相似文献

This review deals with some aspects of terrestrial isopod reproduction including breeding season, breeding periods, patterns and strategies, parturition, number and size of broods and mancae. Reproductive period is described by the exact dates (i.e. season) marsupial females were collected in the field, and the duration of the breeding period. The information for both aspects was generally obtained through field work by observing marsupial females. Two reproductive patterns are used by terrestrial isopods, either a discrete (i.e. seasonal) or a continuous (i.e. non-seasonal) pattern. The discrete pattern can be either annual when females breed once a year, or they can breed biannually or multi-annually (two or more times during the year). This conclusion is based generally on observing marsupial females in the field. Therefore, this information does not apply to the reproductive pattern of the individual female since a female may use either or both patterns, i.e. seasonal and continuous. Only by raising individual females singly (with a male) can this point be clarified. This way, the breeding strategy of the same individual female can be studied. 鄂报春Primula obconica作为一种广泛栽培的园艺植物,其野生居群的遗传多样性及遗传结构的研究还少见报道。本文通过叶绿体微卫星分析了17个鄂报春野生居群(共278个个体),共发现4个多态性位点(16个等位基因),得到14个单倍型。结果表明鄂报春具有很高的总基因多样性(HT=0.971)和极低的居群内基因多样性(HS=0.028);分子方差分析(AMOVA)显示98%的变异存在于居群间。这些结果说明早期的生境片断化及有限的种子传播能力是造成当前遗传结构的重要原因。Nst值显著大于Gst值,表明关系相近的单倍型会出现在相同的地区内,同时最小生成树(MST)的分析结果证实了这样的结论。我们在最小生成树的两个组中推断出一些古老单倍型,并推测在冰期时湖北和我国的西南地区可能是该物种的避难所。 相似文献

目的: 评价抗逆转录病毒药对孕育期雌性大鼠心血管功能及某些生化指标的影响。方法: SD大鼠9周龄雌鼠19只、10周龄雄鼠6只,9只/10只雌鼠与3只雄鼠合1笼,共2笼,分为正常对照组(CON)、高效抗逆转录病毒治疗组(HARRT)。其中CON组雌性大鼠每天早、晚生理盐水 (10 ml/kg)灌胃,HARRT组雌性大鼠灌等容积抗逆转录病毒药(AZT 31.25 mg/kg +3TC 15.63 mg/kg +LPV/r (41.67/10.42) mg/kg),连续3个月。记录雌性大鼠体重、存活情况;检测超声心动图,多导生理记录仪检测动脉血压、心脏血流动力学参数;相应试剂盒检测血糖、血脂四项、心肌酶及肝酶;Masson染色及透射电镜分别观察心肌胶原纤维和心肌细胞超微结构。结果: CON组雌性大鼠均存活(9/9),HARRT组雌性大鼠存活6只(6/10);与CON组比较,HAART组雌性大鼠体重减少(P< 0.01);LVDd、IVST、LVPWT、LAD增加(P<0.05);动脉舒张压增加(P<0.05)、LVP +dP/dtmax减少(P<0.01);TG减少、Glu增加(P<0.05)、CK减少(P<0.01)、GOT减少(P<0.05);心肌组织胶原纤维增多,心肌细胞超微结构异常。结论: 抗逆转录病毒药可导致孕育期雌性大鼠心血管病变。 相似文献
