The essential oils isolated from the leaves and green branches of the Egyptian navel orange trees were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. A total of 33 and 24 compounds were identified from the oils of the leaves and branches accounting for 96.0% and 97.9%, respectively, of the total detected constituents. The major ones were sabinene (36.5; 33.0%), terpinen‐4‐ol (8.2; 6.2%), δ‐3‐carene (7.0; 9.4%), limonene (6.8; 18.7%), trans‐ocimene (6.7; 6.1%), and β‐myrcene (4.5; 4.4%). The antimicrobial activities of both oils were evaluated using the agar‐well diffusion method toward three representatives for each of Gram‐positive bacteria, Gram‐negative bacteria, and fungi. The oil of leaves was more effective as antimicrobial agent than that of the branches. Streptococcus pyogenes, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhimurium, and Aspergillus fumigatus were the most sensitive bacteria and fungi by the leaves oil.  相似文献

The anthocyanin-flavone C-glycoside, (malvidin 3-O-(6(II)-O-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl(AIV)-beta-glucopyranoside(AII))-5-O-beta-glucopyranoside(AIII)) (apigenin 6-C-(2(II)-O-beta-glucopyranosyl(FIII)-beta-glucopyranoside(FII))) malonate(AV) (A(IV)-4-->A(V)-1, F(III)-6-->A(V)-3) (1), has been isolated from leaves of Oxalis triangularis A. St.-Hil. In the 1D (1)H NMR spectrum of 1 dissolved in CD(3)OD-CF(3)CO(2)D (95:5), MTFA, recorded 45 min after sample preparation, this covalently linked dimer occurred mainly as flavylium cation (38%) and two equilibrium forms assigned to be quinonoidal bases (54%), whereas only minor amounts of the hemiacetal forms were present. After five days storage at 300 K, the hemiacetals (39%) and flavylium cation (38%) constituted the main forms of 1. More simple anthocyanins are normally considered to be on the flavylium cation form in acidified deuterated methanol. The cross-peaks observed in NOESY NMR spectra of 1 indicated the presence of vertical 'pi-pi' stacking between the B-ring of the flavone unit and the A-ring of each of the two forms assigned to be quinonoidal bases. It was not possible to discriminate between inter- or intramolecular association mechanisms. The equilibria between the various forms of 1 were studied by two-dimensional NOESY and ROESY NMR spectroscopy. 2D HSQC-TOCSY NMR spectroscopy was among the methods used for characterization of the various forms.  相似文献

The investigation of the lipid extract of leaves of Feijoa sellowiana cultivated along the east coast of Sicily has yielded in addition to the widespread secondary metabolites: alpha-tocopherol, flavone, stigmasterol and beta-carotene, an inseparable mixture of tyrosol esters of lignoceric (1a), cerotic (1b) and montanic (1c) acids, and a novel galactolipid identified as (2S)-1,2,6'-tri-O-[(9Z,12Z,15Z)-octadeca-9,12,15-trienoyl]-3-O-beta-D-galactopyranosyl glycerol (2).  相似文献

Three triterpenoids, 3-oxo-11,13(18)-oleanadien-28-oic acid, 24-hydroxy-3-oxo-11,13(18)-oleanadien-28-oic acid, 6β-hydroxy-3-oxo-11,13(18)-oleanadien-28-oic acid have been isolated together with the previously known virgatic acid, vibsanin B and 3-hydroxyvibsanin E from the leaves of Viburnum suspensum. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic methods and by comparison of their NMR spectral data with those of the previously known 11,13(18)-oleanadien-3β-ol.  相似文献

The novel anthocyanins, malvidin 3-O-(6-O-(4-O-malonyl-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl)-beta-glucopyranoside)-5-O-beta-glucopyranoside (2), malvidin 3-O-(6-O-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl-beta-glucopyranoside)-5-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-glucopyranoside) (3), malvidin 3-O-(6-O-(4-O-malonyl-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl)-beta-glucopyranoside)-5-O-(6-O-malonyl-beta-glucopyranoside) (4), malvidin 3-O-(6-O-(4-O-malonyl-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl)-beta-glucopyranoside) (5) and malvidin 3-O-(6-O-(Z)-p-coumaroyl-beta-glucopyranoside)-5-O-beta-glucopyranoside (6), in addition to the 3-O-(6-O-alpha-rhamnopyranosyl-beta-glucopyranoside)-5-O-beta-glucopyranoside (1) and the 3-O-(6-O-(E)-p-coumaroyl-beta-glucopyranoside)-5-O-beta-glucopyranoside (7) of malvidin have been isolated from purple leaves of Oxalis triangularis A. St.-Hil. In pigments 2, 4 and 5 a malonyl unit is linked to the rhamnose 4-position, which has not been reported previously for any anthocyanin before. The identifications were mainly based on 2D NMR spectroscopy and electrospray MS.  相似文献

Cellular and subcellular volumes in mature leaves of potato (Solanum tuberosum cv. Désirée) were determined stereologically from light and electron micrographs. Leaves of ten-week-old plants with a total leaf volume of 623 μL per mg chlorophyll (Chl) were found to be composed of 12 % epidermis, 68 % mesophyll, 5 % vascular tissue, 3 % apoplast and 16 % gas space. In the epidermal cells 97 % of the volume was occupied by the vacuole. The mesophyll cells consisted (as expressed per mg Chl) of 323 μL (76 %) vacuole, 35 μL (8 %) chloroplast stroma, 22 μL (5 %) cytosol plus nucleus and peroxisomes, and 4μL, (1 %) mitochondria. A comparison of these values with subcellular volumes previously determined for spinach and barley leaves, shows that the relative sizes of the subcellular volumes are strikingly similar. Subcellular concentrations of carbohydrates, of the phosphorylated intermediates of carbohydrate metabolism, of malate, and of amino acids have been evaluated from measurements of the corresponding subcellular metabolite contents determined using the non-aqueous fractionation technique. Malate, glucose and fructose were found to accumulate in the vacuole, whereas the concentration of sucrose and amino acids in the cytosol were much higher than in the vacuole. The amino acid concentration in the chloroplast stroma is similar to that in the cytosol. Phosphorylated intermediates of carbohydrate metabolism are confined to the chloroplast stroma and the cytosol, confirming the validity of the fractionation method. Whereas triose phosphates and fructose-l,6-bisphosphate are concentrated in the stroma, the concentrations of hexose monophosphates were highest in the cytosol. Since the subcellular metabolite distribution in potato leaves reported here is very similar to that previously described for spinach and barley leaves, we conclude that it may be characteristic for mesophyll cells in general.  相似文献
