The interaction among coupled oscillators is governed by oscillator properties (intrinsic frequency and amplitude) and coupling mechanisms. This study considers another oscillator property, the intrinsic resting level, and evaluates its role in governing oscillator interactions. The results of computer experiments on a chain of either three or five bidirectionally coupled nonlinear oscillators, suggest that an intrinsic resting level gradient, if present, is one of the factors governing the interaction between coupled oscillators. If there is no intrinsic frequency gradient, then an intrinsic resting level gradient is sufficient to produce many features of interaction among coupled oscillators. If both intrinsic frequency and intrinsic resting level gradients are present, then both of them determine the manner in which the coupled oscillators interact with each other.  相似文献

993名HBsAg携带者母亲所生新生儿,以768名新生儿为试验组,226名新生儿为对照组,试验组分别注射HBsAg血源性氢氧化铝佐剂疫苗,乙型肝炎高价免疫球蛋白(HBlg)或疫苗加HBIg,对照组注射安慰剂,所用疫苗为国产81-2、82-1-2、83-1和美国NIHA9,观察表明,出生后六个月,试验组各批疫苗的保护率为60~93%,以83-1批为最高;疫苗加HBIg的保护效果与疫苗相似,HBIg组亦有70%的保护效果,以上结果证明单独应用HBsAg疫苗阻断母婴传播的效果是理想的。  相似文献

The cross-reactivity of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from 28 nonhuman primates was investigated with ten kinds of Leu series of monoclonal antibodies specific to human T-, natural killer/killer-, and B-cells. The chimpanzees possessed all ten epitopes examined but the orangutan lacked Leu4 and Leu7 epitopes and the gibbons lacked Leu4, Leu7, and Leu12 epitopes. In addition to the above epitopes, the Old World monkeys lacked Leu1 and Leu10 epitopes. The Leu3a/Leu2a cell ratios varied from 0 to 1.56 among the 12 macaque species and this enabled classification of these species into three groups. In the New World monkeys, Leu2a epitope was absent, whereas Leu11a epitope was detected in several species and Leu3a epitope was found only in the owl monkeys. The prosimians expressed only HLA-DR epitope.  相似文献

Three stable hybridoma cell lines (AF8, BC11, CE2) have been produced that secrete antibodies specific for cathepsin B. These have been characterized by ELISA, SDS-PAGE immunostaining, immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescent staining. CE2 immunoprecipitated native cathepsin B with retention of enzymic activity, but failed to cross-react with the alkali-denatured enzyme. BC11 bound only to the denatured form of cathepsin B and AF8 cross-reacted with both native and denatured cathepsin B. However, unlike CE2-immunoprecipitated enzyme, activity could be detected only after dissociation of the antigen-AF8 antibody complex. A hemocyte lysate from horseshoe crab produced a gel, when exposed to Gram-negative bacterial endotoxins. This gelation reaction of the lysate, so-called Limulus test, has been widely employed as a simple and very sensitive assay method for endotoxins. Recent biochemical studies on the principle of Limulus test indicate that the hemocytes contain several serine protease zymogens, which constitute a coagulation cascade triggered by endotoxins, and that there is a (1 3)--d-glucan-mediated coagulation pathway which also results in the formation of gel. Up to now, six protein components, designated coagulogen, proclotting enzyme, factor B, factor C, factor G and anti-LPS factor, all of which are closely associated with the endotoxin-mediated coagulation pathway, have been purified and biochemically characterized. Among these components, the complete amino acid sequences of coagulogens isolated from one American and three Asian species of horseshoe crabs have been established. Moreover, the reconstitution experiment using the isolated clotting factors, C, B, proclotting enzyme and coagulogen in the presence of endotoxin, leads to the formation of coagulin get. Based on these results, we propose here a mechanism for the Limulus coagulation cascade.  相似文献

Abstract Gram-negative methylotrophs contain a high- M r'large' citrate synthase. Gram-positive methylotrophs, on the other hand, contain a 'small' citrate synthase. These differences in M r coincided partly with differences in NADH sensitivity. Citrate synthases from obligate Gram-negative and Gram-positive facultative methylotrophs were insensitive to feedback inhibition by NADH; only the enzymes from Gram-negative facultative methylotrophs were inhibited by NADH.  相似文献

The steady-state fluorescence anisotropy of 1,6-diphenyl-1,3,5-hexatriene incorporated into isolated Bacillus megaterium spore membranes was measured. Compounds capable of triggering spore germination in vivo caused an increase in the anisotropy of diphenylhexatriene. These increases in anisotropy of diphenylhexatriene in spore membranes are likely to represent at least a portion of the trigger mechanism for spore germination based on the following observations. First, there was an exceptional positive correlation between compounds that both triggered germination in vivo and caused changes in anisotropy in vitro. Second. the capacity of membranes to respond to germinants by increases in anisotropy was unique to membranes from spores but disappeared after germination. Third, alteration of spores chemically or genetically to block the in vivo triggering of germination by l-proline also blocked the in vitro anisotropy change with l-proline but not d-glucose. Finally, there was no correlation between the transport activities of specific compounds and the ability of these compounds to either trigger germination or alter the anisotropy of diphenylhexatriene in the membranes. Although we do not known the nature of the molecular interactions giving rise to the anisotropy changes, we hypothesize that they are due to changes in protein conformation that alter protein-protein and/or protein-lipid interactions. Such modifications of membrane structures could account for the rapid release of small molecular weight compounds such as K+ and Ca2+ early in germination.  相似文献

A general method for the synthesis of azido-ubiquinone derivatives has been developed directly by substituting one hydrogen atom on the benzoquinone ring with an azido group under weakly acidic conditions. The reaction takes several hours and the yield is generally low. The azido-ubiquinone was purified by preparative thin layer chromatography, and identified by NMR, IR and mass spectra. All the synthesized azido-ubiquinone derivatives show partial activity in mediating biological electron transfer in the dark, and show partial or complete inhibition upon photolysis.  相似文献
