Infantile botulism was recognized in 1976 as a paralyzing disease caused by the ingestion of viable spores that would germinate and colonize the intestinal tract of infants, with local production and absorption of Clostridium botulinum toxin. The possible origins of botulinic spores are dust and honey, which has been identified as a dietary risk factor for infantile botulism. The objectives of the present study were to investigate 100 honey samples obtained in the state of S?o Paulo (Brazil) in terms of incidence of botulinic spores and of microbiologic quality, in agreement with Decree 367/9. All 100 samples analysed were negative for the presence of Salmonella, Shigella, total coliforms. C. botulinum spores were present in 3 samples (3%) and molds and yeasts, in 64 samples (64%), but only 25 (25%) exceeded established criteria, with counts ranging from zero to 1.5 x 10(5)CFU/g. The presence of small sporogenic Gram-positive rods was observed in 42 (42%) of the 100 samples tested but these bacteria were not identified.  相似文献

Cells within the vascular wall are coupled by gap junctions, allowing for direct intercellular transfer of low molecular weight molecules. Although gap junctions are believed to be important for vascular development and function, their precise roles are not well understood. Mice lacking either connexin37 (Cx37) or connexin40 (Cx40), the predominant gap junction proteins present in vascular endothelium, are viable and exhibit phenotypes that are largely non-blood vessel related. Since Cx37 and Cx40 are coexpressed in endothelial cells and could overlap functionally, some roles of junctional communication may only be revealed by the elimination of both connexins. In this study, we interbreed Cx37 and Cx40 knockout mice to generate Cx37-/- Cx40-/- animals and show that they display severe vascular abnormalities and die perinatally. Cx37-/- Cx40-/- animals exhibit localized hemorrhages in skin, testis, gastrointestinal tissues, and lungs, with pronounced blood vessel dilatation and congestion occurring in some areas. Vascular anomalies were particularly striking in testis and intestine. In testis, abnormal vascular channels were present, with these channels coalescing into a cavernous, endothelium-lined blood pool resembling a hemangioma. These results provide evidence of a critical role for endothelial gap junction-mediated communication in the development and/or functional maintenance of segments of the mouse vasculature.  相似文献

Leukotrienes (LTs) are metabolically inactivated via omega-oxidation and subsequent beta-oxidation from the omega-end. This beta-oxidation process takes place in peroxisomes. In this study we investigated the role of different enzymes involved in peroxisomal beta-oxidation in the degradation of LTs. We analyzed LTB(4), LTE(4), and their oxidation products in urine of patients with Infantile Refsum's disease (IRD), d-bifunctional protein (DBP) deficiency, Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata (RCDP) type 1, and X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (XALD). We found that patients with IRD and DBP deficiencies excrete increased amounts of LTB(4), LTE(4), omega-carboxy-LTB(4), and omega-carboxy-LTE(4) in their urine, whereas the beta-oxidation products were not detectable. These results show that DBP plays an essential role in the degradation of LTs. In urine of patients with XALD and RCDP type 1 we found normal levels of LTB(4), LTE(4), and their oxidation products, indicating that the adrenoleukodystrophy protein and peroxisomal 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase are not involved in the metabolic inactivation of LTs.  相似文献

本文报道了100例急性婴幼儿腹泻粪便中双歧杆菌定量检查和病原菌分离。结果为每克粪便中双歧杆菌对数值为1.83,与本市同年龄组的正常值(10.5±0.93)相比有极显著的差异。对双歧杆菌抗感染的机理及其活菌制剂防治腹泻的重要意义进行了讨论。  相似文献

目的探讨炎琥宁注射液对小儿轮状病毒腹泻的疗效及对患儿心肌酶的影响。方法选择2016年1月至2016年12月大兴区妇幼保健院收治的94例小儿轮状病毒腹泻患儿为研究对象,所有患儿按照随机数字表法分为观察组(47例)与对照组(47例)。两组患儿均采用常规治疗,观察组在常规治疗基础上结合炎琥宁注射液治疗。两组患儿疗程均为7d。比较两组患儿的疗效,治疗前后肌酸激酶(CK)、乳酸脱氢酶(LDH)、肌酸激酶心型同工酶(CK-MB)的变化,止泻时间、腹胀消失时间、退热时间,及不良反应发生情况。结果观察组患儿治疗总有效率(93.62%)高于对照组(74.47%),差异有统计学意义(P0.05)。两组患儿治疗后CK、LDH、CK-MB水平较治疗前降低(P0.05),且观察组低于对照组(P0.05)。观察组患儿止泻时间、腹胀消失时间及退热时间均短于对照组(P0.05)。两组患儿不良反应发生率比较差异无统计学意义(P0.05)。结论炎琥宁注射液治疗小儿轮状病毒腹泻效果显著,且可明显改善患儿心肌酶水平,具有一定临床应用价值。  相似文献

Infantile hemangioma (IH) is a common benign tumor. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) have the potential of stem cells, which has been widely used in vascular endothelial cell experiments. Oral propranolol was first reported to treat hemangioma in 2008. However, the role of propranolol in IH remains unclear. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the effects of propranolol on HUVECs in vitro, to explore the underlying mechanism of propranolol in IH. HUVECs were treated with 0.15, 1.5, and 15 μM of propranolol, and transfected with microRNA-4295 (miR-4295) mimic. Cell viability, migration, and apoptosis were examined using Cell Counting Kit-8, transwell assay, and flow cytometry analysis, respectively. In addition, the expressions and concentrations of miR-4295, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), VEGF-A, FLT1, FLT2, and FOXF1 were assessed using real-time polymerase chain reaction, Western blot assay, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. We found that 15 μM of propranolol decreased HUVEC viability the most. Then, cell migration and the concentrations of VEGF and VEGF-A were reduced, and apoptosis was increased when treated with propranolol. Meanwhile, the expressions of VEGF, VEGF-A, FLT1, FLT2, and FOXF1 were downregulated by propranolol exposure. Further study showed that miR-4295 expression was upregulated in IH tissues, and propranolol treatment downregulated miR-4295 expression in HUVECs. MiR-4295 overexpression alleviated the reductions of viability, migration, and factors expression, as well as the increase of apoptosis. Propranolol suppressed HUVEC viability, migration, the expression of VEGF, VEGF-A, FLT1/2, FOXF1, and promoted apoptosis via downregulation of miR-4295. This study lays a foundation for further study of the effect of propranolol on IH.  相似文献

目的探究小儿病毒性脑炎中医证型分布规律及其影响因素。方法回顾性分析2016年1月至2018年10月我院收治的141例病毒性脑炎(VE)患儿临床资料,根据临床表现,参照中医及西医诊断标准,归纳小儿病毒性脑炎常见症候,并根据患者预后情况分为预后良好组(n=97)与预后不良组(n=44),采用Logistic回归模型分析影响预后的相关因素。结果中医四诊证候出现频率较高的为发热、头晕头痛、肢体困重、偏瘫或麻、纳呆、便溏、便干尿赤等。舌脉表现中,舌红、痰白、脉弦、脉滑数出现频率较高。卫气营血分布中气分证患者占比最高,其次为营分证、卫分证。证型分布中痰湿证出现频率最高,其次为热证,而后是风证及其他证型。本研究中最常见的为痰蒙心窍证。预后不良组患者中精神行为异常、意识状态异常、惊厥、肌力异常、脑MRI异常及病灶≥2个者的比例均显著高于预后良好组(均P0.05),惊厥时间、发热时间均明显高于预后良好组(均P0.05),Glasgow评分明显低于预后良好组(P0.05)。Logistic回归分析显示,意识状态异常、脑MRI异常、病灶数目、惊厥时间、发热时间及Glasgow评分为影响VE预后的独立危险因素(均P0.05)。结论小儿病毒性脑炎基本属于温病范畴,以气分证最多,多为合并证型。意识状态异常、脑MRI异常、病灶数目多、惊厥时间长、发热时间长及Glasgow评分低均会对患儿预后产生严重影响,需重视具有上述症状的患儿以改善其预后。  相似文献

目的:评估使用经皮椎体成形术(Percutaneous vertebroplast PVP)治疗椎体血管瘤的临床疗效。方法:回顾性分析2008~2015年诊断为椎体血管瘤并在我院进行PVP手术的46例患者,至少6个月术后随访,获取相关的临床数据和资料。对患者在术后疼痛等症状改善,肿瘤复发,Macnab疗效和治疗安全性等方面进行分析。结果:所有患者均在术后有了明显的疼痛改善(P0.05),并在6个月内随着时间的推移疼痛评分逐步下降。有2例患者出现术后肿瘤复发,但无明显症状,未给予特殊处理。余未出现明显并发症。患者的术后SF-36生存质量评分均较术前有较大提高(P0.05)。在患者术后6月时,对其Macnab疗效进行分析,其优良率为93.5%。结论:经皮椎体成形术治疗椎体血管瘤可以有效的改善疼痛症状,且相对安全,并能实现微创治疗。  相似文献
