本文用201种禾本科植物幼苗的60个形态和解剖性状进行了聚类分析,将禾本科植物分为四个大类(一级聚合单位)—狐茅类(Festucoid)、黍类(Panicoid),竹类(Bambusoid)和画眉草类(Eragrostidoid)。这四类基本上与分类系统中的亚科相吻合,只是芦竹亚科植物的幼苗分散聚到了其它类中。推测芦竹亚科是一个比较原始的类群,狐茅亚科、黍亚科和画眉草亚科可能是在芦竹亚科的基础上进化而来的。 除个别种外,大多数同属的种在较低的聚合水平上聚在一起,超族在亚聚合单位中基本上能够反映出来。 研究证明禾本科植物的幼苗性状在禾本科植物分类中具有重要的分类学意义。  相似文献

在研究有胚植物营养体时,人们常注重根、茎和叶三类器官,而较少注意胚轴。实际上,胚轴不仅在胚、幼苗和成株中均有独特作用,而且在其生长习性和结构上也较特殊。在胚中,圆轴状的胚轴连接着胚根、胚芽、子叶和禾本科植物的胚芽鞘,并因此而可以分为上胚轴(子叶节或胚芽鞘节至胚芽的一段),下胚轴(子叶节或禾本科的盾片节至胚根的一段)和中胚轴(禾本科植物盾片节至胚芽鞘节的一段)。在绝大多数植物的成株中,主茎的第一个节间是由上胚轴发育形成的,极少数植物甚至终生以胚轴为其主体。如世界著名的奇异植物百岁兰,除下胚轴伸长将…  相似文献

本文在观察了代表22个族76个属的203种禾本科植物幼苗的发育过程和 各种性状的基础上,探讨了重要性状的形成与分布区、生境条件的关系及重要性 状之间的相关性。 根据胚轴和根系发育的不同形式,将禾本科幼苗划分为三大 型:竹型、狐茅型和黍型。根据苗叶和不定根的特点,又把这些大型分为七个 亚型:真竹亚型、稻亚型、芦竹亚型、针茅亚型、狐茅亚型、画眉草亚型和真黍亚 型。 经过与胚体和植株各方面数据的互相印证,证明与幼苗形态的七个亚型相 对应,在系统分类上是七个亚科:竹亚科、稻亚科、芦竹亚科、针茅亚科、狐茅亚科、画眉草亚科和黍亚科。  相似文献

应用整体透明和石蜡连续切片等方法,对辽藁本幼苗初生维管系统的发育进行了观察。结果表明:该幼苗的轴向器官中,以子叶节区下部的初生维管系统先建立,向下发育形成了下胚轴和根的维管系统;再向上通过子叶节区中、上部的分生组织性组织与第1片真叶的叶迹相连;上胚轴一苗的维管系统向下发育与子叶迹相连,至此构成了该幼苗完整、连续的初生维管系统。此外,对幼苗侧生器官子叶片的三出一叉状脉的形成进行了观察,认为该叶脉序属于原始脉序类型。  相似文献

通过对叶甲亚科昆虫20属20种后翅的比较形态学研究,主要对叶甲亚科翅脉名称、翅脉变化类型进行了探讨,给出了叶甲亚科翅脉模式图、20种翅脉的形态特征图和翅脉变化类型图,并对其进化意义进行了初步的总结,认为中国叶甲亚科中最原始的后翅类型应为:长宽比例大,Cu1a与Cu1b之间具cv横脉或Cu1b与Pcu之间具cp横脉以及Cu1b与Pcu端部分开,不融合为一根。  相似文献

根据幼苗形态特征,把双子叶植物幼苗划分为18个类型9个亚型,用图解释了幼苗类型之间的进化关系。双子叶植物幼苗类型进化的主线是:暗罗型(子叶具吸收功能,留土)→紫玉盘型(子叶具吸收功能,留于种壳中,下胚轴伸长)→木兰型(子叶具吸收兼光合功能)→蜡梅型(子叶具光合功能)→樱型(子叶具光合兼贮藏功能)→樟型(子叶具贮藏功能),其他类型或亚型则为进化的旁支或盲支。根据幼苗类型来判断,现存被子植物最古老的科应为番荔枝科。  相似文献

通过对蔷薇亚科蛇莓属的蛇莓[Duchesnea indica(Andrews)Focke]、委陵菜属的翻白草(Potentilla dis-colorBunge)、水杨梅属的水杨梅(Geum aleppicumJacq.)和地榆属的地榆(Sanguisorba officinalisL.)4种植物幼苗形态特征以及初生维管系统的结构研究表明:蛇莓、翻白草子叶脉序中主脉与两侧二级脉呈原始的二叉分支状,蛇莓脉序中无二级间脉,翻白草中为简单型的二级间脉;水杨梅、地榆的主脉与两侧二级脉呈进化的对生分支状,二者的二级间脉为复合型.蛇莓属幼苗子叶节区下部的中柱为原始的中始式二原型圆形单中柱,委陵菜属为较进化的外始式二原型圆形单中柱,水杨梅属为外始式二原型双钩型的单中柱,而地榆属的外始式二原型双扇型的单中柱则最为进化,并且地榆的后生木质部发达,也是进化的表现.综合叶脉数量和级数以及子叶节区下部的中柱类型分析,认为4属的演化趋势为:蛇莓属最原始,其次为委陵菜属和水杨梅属,地榆属最为进化.  相似文献

Seeds of 201 species of 83 genera in the Gramineae were collected from the tropical and subtropical regions of Australia, and the temperate region of China. Pure live seeds of each species were sown in plastic pots, which were filled with the mixture of sand and bits of rotted wood (4:1). Seeded pots were kept in greenhouse at temperature of 20—25°C , and were arranged at random with four replications in each of the two treatments of sowing depth, 10 mm and 0 mm. The seedlings were taken as samples for examining 60 morphological and microscopic characters (Appendix), when they grew to the three-leaved stage. Cluster analysis was made using 60 seedling characters with the 201 species as OTUs. As a result, four clusters are recognized as follows. Cluster 1. Festucoid: The group consisted of all the species of the subfamily Festucoideae, the species of the genera Stipa, Achnatherum, Danthonia and Aristida in the subfamily Arundinoideae, and those of the genus Microlaena in the subfamily Bambusoideae. The seedling mesocotyl elongated or not, but not elongated when grew under light. Mesocotyl roots absent. Scutellum and coleorhiza node roots or coleoptile node roots dominant. The first leaf narrowly linear, erect, acute at the apex, twisting clockwise or counterclockwise; blade and sheath 3—5-nerved, with the blade length/width ratio 61.65 on an average; The second and third leaves narrowly linear, acute or acuminate at the apex. The coleoptile 13.04mm long on an average. The first tiller appeared when the third leaf emerged. Cluster 2. Panicoid: All the species of the subfamily Panicoideae, the species of the genera Eriachne and Monachather in the subfamily Arundinoideae, and the genus Enneapogon in the subfamily Eragrostidoideae were included in this group. The seedling mesocotyl elongated, even if growing under light. Mesocotyl roots present and dominant. Scutellum and coleorhiza node roots absent. The first leaf oblong-lanceolate, oblong-oblanceolate or spathulate, ascendent or horizontal, acuminate or obtuse at apex, not twisting; blade and sheath over 7-nerved, with the blade length/width ratio 8.95 on an average. The second and third leaves linear-lanceolate, lanceolate or oblong-lanceolate, acuminate at the apex. Coleoptile 5.29mm long on an average. The first tiller appeared when the fifth leaf emerged. Cluster 3. Bambusoideae: This group included the species in the subfamily Bambusoideae except those in the genus Microlaena. The first and second leaves without blade in the supertribe Bambusanae. The mesocotyl not elongated. Scutellum and coleorhiza node roots, and coleoptile node roots completely absent, only primary root developed. The mesocotyl elongated, mesocotyl roots absent and coleoptile roots dominant in the supertribe Oryzanae. The blade of the first leaf suppresed, but the second and third leaves both with blade and sheath. Cluster 4. Eragrostidoid: The cluster contained the species in the subfamily Eragrostidoideae except those in the genus Enneapogon. The seedling mesocotyl elongated, but not elongated when grew under light. The mesocotyl roots mostly absent, while the coleoptile node roots dominant. The first leaf linear, almost ascendent, acute at the apex, not twisting, blade and sheath 5—7 (9)-nerved, with the blade length/width ratio 11.69 on an average. The second and third leaves linear, linear-lanceolate or lanceolate, acuminate at the apex. The coleoptile 2.60 mm long on an average. The first tiller appeared when the fifth leaf emerged. The species of the subfamily Arundinoideae were divided into four clusters. The results showed that the Arundinoideae could be considered as primitive member of the family, from which the subfamilies Panicoideae, Eragrostidoideae and Festucoideae are derived and specialized. With exception of a few cases, species in a genus were generally clustered into one unit and grouped into a subcluster unit. Seedling characters, like other taxonomic characters, are of importanttaxonomic significance, and could be used in classification of the Gramineae.  相似文献

The vascular system present in a grass seedling axis persistsin a functional state at the base of a maturing plant, but undergoesa number of modifications. Two strands of phloem, accompanied by some internal xylem, differentiatein association with the bicollateral mesocotyl trace at rightangles to the existing phloem, resulting in a tetrarch bundle.Lateral seminal roots are themselves tetrarch and the vascularinsertion of a seminal root on to the mesocotyl is a distinctivethree-dimensional feature. At the base of the mesocotyl thetetrarch bundle merges with the tetrarch bundle of the primaryseminal root via a transition zone. The four phloem poles uniteand then diverge again; the central xylem strand splits intothree and then reunites, the two tissues being intimately interlockedby this rearrangement. The additional vascular tissue of the mesocotyl extends up intothe coleoptilar node and becomes involved in the vascular attachmentof nodal roots at this point. Additional vascular tissue continuesto differentiate in the periphery of the maturing stem and ishere termed the ‘peripheral plexus’. In the seedling, the xylem of the ‘bridge’ linkingthe mesocotyl trace with the scutellar trace is associated withxylem transfer cells and also contains tracheids with distinctive,thin-barred scalariform thickening. These transfer cells disappearas the plant matures but numerous tracheids with thin-barredscalariform thickening are then to be found. 竹类果实胚体类型复杂多样,中胚轴的有无,外胚叶的存在与否,盾片是否具有裂片,第一叶折叠或卷曲为大致的划分标准。胚的类型,胚芽、胚根与盾片的关系,胚体弯曲程度,中胚轴伸长程度及盾片的大小和形态等,在不同的种中有不同的特征。首次报道了花眉竹和融安黄竹这两种竹果的胚体类型分别为P+PP和F+PP及各自的特征,并探讨其系统分类的意义,为竹类植物的系统分类补充解剖学方面的证据。  相似文献

The response of antioxidants to acclimation and chilling in various tissues of dark-grown maize (Zea mays L.) seedlings was examined in relation to chilling tolerance and protection from chilling-induced oxidative stress. Chilling caused an accumulation of H2O2 in both the coleoptile + leaf and the mesocotyl (but not roots), and acclimation prevented this accumulation. None of the antioxidant enzymes were significantly affected by acclimation or chilling in the coleoptile + leaf or root. However, elevated levels of glutathione in acclimated seedlings may contribute to an enhanced ability to scavenge H2O2 in the coleoptile + leaf. In the mesocotyl (visibly most susceptible to chilling), catalase3 was elevated in acclimated seedlings and may represent the first line of defense from mitochondria-generated H2O2. Nine of the most prominent peroxidase isozymes were induced by acclimation, two of which were located in the cell wall, suggesting a role in lignification. Lignin content was elevated in mesocotyls of acclimated seedlings, likely improving the mechanical strength of the mesocotyl. One cytosolic glutathione reductase isozyme was greatly decreased in acclimated seedlings, whereas two others were elevated, possibly resulting in improved effectiveness of the enzyme at low temperature. When taken together, these responses to acclimation illustrate the potential ways in which chilling tolerance may be improved in preemergent maize seedlings.  相似文献

Abstract. Responses to red light irradiation of discrete areas along the intact, etiolated oat seedling indicate that illumination of the region around the coleoptilar node results in maximal coleoptile growth stimulation and mesocotyl growth suppression. Quantitation of the fibre optic properties of these etiolated tissues shows that the amount of axially transmitted light is log linear as a function of distance for both the mesocotyl and coleoptile (plus primary leaf). Using the fibre optic properties of the tissues to predict the response of the etiolated seedling to defined illumination fields allows one to localize two sites of photoperception: although the mesocotyl response pattern can be explained by the action of a single site found near the top of the mesocotyl itself, the coleoptile response depends on irradiation of both the mesocotyl site and an additional site located just above the node. The very low- and the low-fluence responses of etiolated oats independently predict similar regions of the seedling as sites of photo-perception. The fibre optic properties of the seedling could allow the seedling to increase the effective light signal received by the photosensitive area significantly.  相似文献

Cephalosporium maydis infects young maize plants easily, but as plants age fewer are infected and none after approx. 50 days from sowing. The mesocotyl and seminal, fibrous and adventitious roots are attacked, especially when there is damage or much inoculum. Most penetration occurs where roots are elongating and emerge from the mesocotyl or from fibrous roots. At first the fungus grows superficially on roots, producing hyphae with short, brown, thick-walled, and swollen cells. After penetrating, the fungus spreads towards the xylem, where it grows slowly at first but after 5 weeks grows faster upwards.
C. acremonium causes black-bundle disease of maize. It seems to infect plants growing in unfavourable conditions but the details remain uncertain. The percentage of plants infected was not related to the amount of inoculum and the fungus may not be a primary parasite. The sterile culture filtrate of the fungus produces vascular discoloration and wilt of maize seedlings.  相似文献

In 4-d-old dark-grown oat (Avena sativa L.) seedlings, the majority of the type-I-phytochrome (phyA) mRNA was found within 10 mm of the tip of the coleoptile sheath and in the mesocotyl node; almost none was detected in the enclosed primary leaf. In contrast, chlorophyll-a/b-binding-protein (cab) mRNAs were found almost exclusively in the enclosed primary leaf and were barely detectable in total-RNA samples from the coleoptile sheath or mesocotyl node of red-light-treated etiolated seedlings. EFFECT OF LIGHT ON AUXIN TRANSPORT AND ELONGATION OF AVENA MESOCOTYL   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The present work was undertaken to find if there are relations between light and auxin action on elongation of coleoptilar node and mesocotyl with Avena seedlings. Red light inhibited the elongation of mesocotyl and simultaneously decreased the rate of transport of diffusible auxin through the node. Red light also inhibited the transport of exogenously given IAA through the nodal region. The light inhibition of IAA transport was closely related to the increase of IAA immobilization. As the age proceeds, the ability of IAA immobilization increased with the decrease in the rate of mesocotyl elongation, even if the seedling was grown in complete darkness. The nature of radioactive substances found in the IAA-C14 treated tissue was examined by paper chromatography. The above results strongly suggested that the increase of IAA immobilization might result in the inhibition of mesocotyl elongation.  相似文献

Carbon 14-labelled indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) was fed to segments of shoots of Zea mays seedlings grown in light or dark to find the effect of light on IAA metabolism. The seedling parts coleoptile, with enclosed leaf, and mesocotyl were also used to examine differences in IAA metabolism between tissue types. The rate of metabolite formation as a function of time ranging from 1 to 12 hours was determined. Light did not significantly influence the amount of IAA taken up, but significantly increased its rate of metabolism and greatly increased the content of amide conjugates formed. There were also differences in metabolism depending on tissue type. In all tissues, IAA was metabolized mainly into six compounds. Four were tentatively identified as IAA-glucose (IAGlc), IAA-myo-inositol} (IAInos), indole acetamide (IAAm) and IAA-aspartic acid (IAAsp). 1-O-IAA-D-glucose (1-O-IAGlc) was the first conjugate formed and, except for mesocotyls in the light, it was the most abundant conjugate in maize tissue. In mesocotyl tissue the conversion of IAA into IAAsp was greatly stimulated by light, and the biosynthesis of IAAsp exceeded that of IAGlc. Since light strongly inhibited the growth of the mesocotyl, it is possible that the stimulation of IAAsp synthesis by light causes depletion of free IAA with resultant inhibition of mesocotyl growth.  相似文献

Aims Symbiotic relationships between fungal endophytes and grass species are known to increase stress resistance in the grass host; however, there is little evidence to suggest that the positive effects occur early in the grass life cycle. In this study, we explored the effects of the endophyte Epichlo? festucae on the growth and survival of Festuca eskia seedlings under drought and frequent cutting stress.Methods Festuca eskia seedlings were collected from the western part of the plant repartition area in a non-symbiotic population located in a mesic and heavily grazed site (W-NS) and from the eastern part in a symbiotic population from a xeric and lightly grazed site (E-S). The E-S population was experimentally freed from its endophyte (E-F). Two greenhouse experiments were conducted to compare growth and survival between the three seedling types under drought stress and frequent cutting. In the first experiment, 126 seedlings per seedling type (n = 378) were grown for 6 weeks under non-limiting conditions before the cessation of watering. After 3 weeks without irrigation, full irrigation was restored for 10 days to measure the survival rate. Leaf length, leaf elongation rate and survival rate were assessed per population. In the second experiment, 156 seedlings per seedling type (n = 468) were grown under non-limiting conditions. All seedlings were cut to 3 cm high, twice a week, during the first month of growth. Leaf elongation and tillering were monitored on 52 seedlings per seedling type. For each type, seedling survival rate was determined by the number of plants alive after 10 days of regrowth, without cutting.Important findings The drought experiment revealed a phenotypic differentiation to drought in 30 F. eskia populations, suggesting adaptive differentiation: the eastern seedlings showed the highest survival rate. A trade-off between growth and survival was highlighted: the highest drought survival rate was associated with the lowest leaf elongation rate under non-limiting water conditions. Endophyte presence in the eastern population increased seedling drought survival. In contrast, cutting survival rate was similar between W-NS and E-S because the presence of the endophyte increased seedling survival to frequent cutting. However, this positive effect came with a cost: the endophyte reduced seedling tillering rate.  相似文献
