用泽陆蛙(Fejervarya limnocharis)蝌蚪和饰纹姬蛙(Microhyla ornata)蝌蚪做研究模型,检测热驯化(20 、25 和30 C)对选择体温(Tsel)、低温耐受性(CTMin)和高温耐受性(CTMax)的影响。结果显示,两种蝌蚪的Tsel既不受驯化温度的影响,也不存在种间差异;泽陆蛙蝌蚪的CTMin显著小于饰纹姬蛙蝌蚪,而CTMax和VTR则显著大于饰纹姬蛙蝌蚪;CTMin和CTMax随驯化温度的升高而升高,VTR则随驯化温度的升高而减小。研究结果表明,热驯化显著影响两种蝌蚪的CTMin、CTMax和VTR,而对两种蝌蚪的体温调定点无显著影响;这些热生物学特征对两种蝌蚪有效适应环境温度变化、利用资源、减少种间竞争具有重要的生态学意义。  相似文献

(Tsel)、热耐受性和体温对食物同化的影响。Tsel无显著的日时间变化,两性个体的Tsel、临界低温(CTMin)和临界高温(CTMax)无显著的差异。Tsel、CTMin和CTMax的平均值分别为30.9℃、3.2℃和43.3℃。体温对动物食物通过时间有显著的影响。在25℃-33℃范围内,食物通过时间随体温升高而缩短;体温超过33℃后,食物通过时间随体温升高而延长。温度对原尾蜥虎的摄食量、表观消化系数(ADC)和同化效率(AE)有显著的影响。在25℃-37℃范围内,动物在低体温下(25℃和27℃)的摄食量、ADC和AE小于更高体温下动物的对应数值。种间比较结果显示,原尾蜥虎是生活于南方的蜥蜴中具有较强耐受极端体温的种类。  相似文献

为检验入侵性龟类是否在某些功能表现上较土著龟类具显著优势,将相同孵化环境中孵出的红耳滑龟和乌龟幼体在不同测试温度下测定其运动(游泳和翻身)和心率表现。结果显示:所检测的两种龟幼体功能指标均随测试温度的变化而变化;红耳滑龟幼体比乌龟幼体具有较快的游泳速度和心率,但较慢的翻身速度。此外,通过比较来自不同养殖群体的两种龟幼体发现:低纬度的海口养殖群个体比高纬度的海宁养殖群个体具有较快的心率、较好的运动表现。结合已发表的临界高低温数据对不同指标构建热功能曲线发现:红耳滑龟幼体游泳速度的热表现宽度大于乌龟幼体,翻身反应的热表现宽度反而较小;海宁养殖群的游泳速度和翻身反应的热表现宽度大于海口养殖群个体。表明:较强游泳能力及能在较宽的热范围内实现较好的游泳表现、较高代谢水平可能有助于入侵性红耳滑龟在新环境中快速扩散、与其它物种竞争取胜并实现其成功入侵。红耳滑龟未表现出较快的翻身速度可能与因其相对较扁平的体型而导致的翻身较难有关。  相似文献

特定物种的热驯化能力决定着其是否能成功耐受环境温度的改变,在应对未来气候变暖的趋势中扮演重要角色。为评估有尾类两栖动物的热驯化反应,在3个恒定水温(15、20℃和25℃)中驯化东方蝾螈(Cynops orientalis)幼体4周,测定驯化后幼体在不同测试温度下的运动(游泳)表现、临界低温(CT_(Min))与临界高温(CT_(Max))。结果显示:驯化与测试温度均显著影响蝾螈的游泳速度;驯化温度亦影响蝾螈的CT_(Min)和CT_(Max),但不影响可耐受温度范围(TRR)。驯化与测试温度的交互作用对蝾螈泳速的影响显著,表明驯化温度可改变其游泳表现的热敏感性。经某一温度驯化后蝾螈泳速似乎在相同测试温度下表现最好,该结果可能支持驯化有益假说。CT_(Min)和CT_(Max)随驯化温度的升高而增加,表明:低温驯化可提高动物抗低温能力,而高温驯化提高其抗高温能力。两栖类动物热耐受性与运动表现热驯化反应的种间变异可能与栖息地热环境的差异有关。  相似文献

全球气候变暖加剧,暖冬现象出现的频率及强度不断增加,外温动物冬眠期间将面临更加频繁的高温胁迫。但目前,高温胁迫对爬行动物冬眠期间氧化应激以及抗氧化防御系统影响的研究还较为缺乏。本研究以黄喉拟水龟(Mauremys mutica)南北两个种群的一龄幼龟为研究对象,探究了冬眠期间(6℃)幼龟受高温胁迫(25℃)后的脂质过氧化损伤标志物丙二醛(MDA)含量,以及抗氧化防御和修复系统的超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)和谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-Px)的活性变化。结果显示,南种群在经历高温胁迫后肝脏MDA含量高于北种群,且放回6℃冬眠条件恢复24 h后仍在升高;北种群肌肉MDA含量受高温胁迫后上升,但在冬眠温度下恢复24 h后即降至对照水平。两种群SOD活力受高温刺激影响不显著。同时,黄喉拟水龟南种群肝脏中CAT的活力在高温刺激2 h后达到最高,并且各处理组间南种群CAT活力均高于北种群;北种群幼龟肝脏GSH-Px活力在高温刺激12 h达到最高。综上,本研究表明,高温胁迫对冬眠期间黄喉拟水龟机体造成一定的氧化损伤,南方种群可能更易受到冬眠期间温度波动的影响,但南方种群机体具有更强的抗氧化酶活力以应对高温胁迫的威胁。  相似文献

采用接触滤纸法, 测定蚯蚓经亚致死剂量高效氯氰菊酯染毒24 h、48 h 和72 h 后其体内蛋白含量、超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活力、过氧化氢酶(CAT)活力和丙二醛(MDA)含量的变化, 探讨不同染毒时间和暴露浓度对蚯蚓的毒性效应。结果表明, 在高效氯氰菊酯亚致死剂量下, 染毒24 h 时蛋白含量在50 mg·L-1 达到最大值, 而染毒72 h 时蛋白含量在5 mg·L-1 达到最大值, 表现为短时间内促进蛋白合成而长时间下抑制。高效氯氰菊酯对SOD 和CAT 活力的诱导作用明显, SOD 活力在低浓度激活, 高浓度抑制; CAT 活力呈现出先升高后降低的趋势; MDA 含量诱导作用不明显,短时间内随暴露浓度升高而升高, 但随染毒时间延长趋于正常水平。因此SOD 和CAT 可作为蚯蚓受到氧化胁迫的指示指标, 而MDA 无法作为指示指标。此外, 各生化指标对高效氯氰菊酯毒性效应的敏感性存在差异, SOD 活力影响最大, CAT 次之, MDA 最小。  相似文献

In short-term field trials at combinations of ambient temperature (°C) and insolation (W·m−2), larval Colorado potato beetles (Leptinotarsa decemlineata [Say] [Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae]) were observed after their release on the adaxial surface of leaflets on potato plants (Solanum tuberosum L. Solanaceae). The larvae either began feeding or moved under the leaflet; mean interval from release to expression of these behaviors (2.9±0.05 min [n =358]) was independent of air temperature and insolation. Proportion of larvae moving under the leaflet increased logistically with both air temperature and insolation. A 1 W·m−2 change in insolation (P) evoked the same effect on this proportion as a 0.0838 °C change in air temperature (T a ), so the two quantities were combined as T*=T a +P·0.0838 °C/(W·m−2), which has units of °C. The proportion of larvae moving under the leaflet increased logistically with T*. In 1-day field trials we monitored air temperature, insolation and proportion of larvae under the leaflet, and compared the latter to predictions from the logistic regression derived from the short-term trials. Consistently more larvae occurred under leaflets than predicted from the logistic regression; this bias diminished as T* increased until at T*≥40 °C, observed and predicted proportions were equal. This pattern of deviation from the predictions of the logistic regression is consistent with a thermoregulatory strategy in which larvae move away from hostile conditions, rather than seek optimal conditions.  相似文献

Preferred deep body temperatures of adult bass were determined in the laboratory using a horizontal temperature gradient and telemetry. The method used allowed continuous monitoring of body temperatures of adult bass in the gradient. We used miniature data loggers to record temperature and activity in free-ranging springbok (Antidorcas marsupialis) naturally exposed to severe nocturnal cold and moderate diurnal heat. The animals were active throughout the day and night, with short rests; the intensity of activity increased during daylight. Arterial blood temperature, averaged over many days, exhibited a circadian rhythm with amplitude <1 °C, but with a wide range which resulted from sporadic rapid deviations of body temperature. Peak blood temperature occurred after sunset. Environmental thermal loads had no detectable effect on blood temperature, even though globe temperature varied by >10 °C from day to day and >20 °C within a day. Brain temperature increased approximately linearly with blood temperature but with a slope <1, so that selective brain cooling tended to be activated at high body temperature, but without a precise threshold for the onset of brain cooling. Low activity attenuated selective brain cooling and high activity abolished it, even at high brain temperature. Our results support the concept that selective brain cooling serves to modulate thermoregulation rather than to protect the brain against heat injury. Accepted: 7 January 1997  相似文献

Relative importance of short-term environmental interaction and preconditioning to CO2 exchange response was examined in Fragaria ananasa (strawberry, cv. Quinault). Tests included an orthogonal comparison of 15 to 60-min and 6 to 7-h exposures to different levels of temperature (16 to 32°C), photosynthetically active radiation (PAR, 200 to 800 E m2 s-1), and CO2 (300 to 600 l/l) on successive days of study. Plants were otherwise maintained at 21°C, 300 E m2 s-1 PAR and 300–360 l/l CO2 as standard conditions. Treatment was restricted to the mean interval of 14 h daily illumination and the first 3–4 days of each test week over a 12-week cultivation period. CO2 exchange rates were followed with each step-change in environmental level including ascending/descending temperature/PAR within a test period, initial response at standard conditions on successive days of testing, and measurement at reduced O2. Response generally supported prior concepts of leaf biochemical modeling in identifying CO2 fixation as the major site of environmental influence, while overall patterns of whole plant CO2 exchange suggested additional effects for combined environmental factors and preconditioning. These included a positive interaction between temperature and CO2 concentration on photosynthesis at high irradiance and a greater contribution by dark respiration at lower PAR than previously indicated. Temperature can affect the survival rate through each immature stage of life history and hence the rate of survival from egg to adult emergence. This phenomenon was investigated experimentally by using both regimes of constant temperature and ones in which temperatures fluctuated on a daily basis with rates of heating and cooling approximating to those found in the field. In fluctuating regimes, the highest temperatures tolerated for a few hours on a daily basis were higher than those tolerable on a constant basis. The highest tolerable daily maximum was influenced to some extent by the daily minimum. Regimes near the tolerable threshold that were experienced during one stage of the life history adversely affected the survival rate during the next stage, even if the latter experienced optimal conditions. The results in dicate that, in nature, survival from egg to adult is unlikely if daily maxima prevail in the region of 38–40°C for more than 7 days.

Résumé La température peut affecter le taux de survie, pour chaque stade d'immaturité, dans l'histoire d'une vie et d'où le taux de survie de l'oeuf à son apparition adulte. Ce phénomène a été étudié à titre expérimental en utilisant les deux régimes à une température constante et l'un d'eux à des températures variées sur une base journalière avec un taux approximatif de chauffage et refroidissement comme ceux que l'on trouve dans ce domaine.Dans un régime de fluctuation, les températures les plus élevées pendant quelques heures sur une base journalière étaient plus fortes que celles tolérées sur une base constante.La maximum journalier de la température la plus élevée supportable était influencé, jusqu'à un certain point, par le minimum journalier.Les régimes qui ont fait l'expérience proche du seuil du supportable au cours d'un stade, dan l'histoire d'une vie, on affecté défavorablement le taux de survie du stade suivant, même si ce dernier a expérimenté les conditions optimal.Les résultats indiquent que, dans la nature, la survie d'oeuf à adulte est improbable si le maxima journalier de 38–40°C prédomine dans la région pendant plus de 7 jours.

To understand the mechanisms underlying plant-insect herbivore interactions, it is necessary to examine the simultaneous effects of temperature, food quality and larval age. We examined the simultaneous effects of three allelochemicals (tomatine, rutin and chlorogenic acid) on the performance of first and second instar Manduca sexta larvae under two representative thermal regimes 21 : 10°C and 26 : 15°C for spring and summer, respectively. Thermal regime and allelochemicals interacted to influence the time from egg hatch to ecdysis to the third instar. On average, it took about half as much time to reach the third instar at 26 : 15°C as it did at 21 : 10°C. Separately, tomatine and rutin had a negative effect on developmental time from egg hatch to the third instar, but their simutaneous effects were not additive. Chlorogenic acid significantly reduced the negative effect of tomatine. The magnitude of the allelochemical effect was larger at the cooler thermal regime compared to the warmer regime. For instance, chlorogenic acid by itself had no effect at the 26 : 15°C regime, but at the 21 : 10°C regime it significantly shortened total developmental time. The effect of chlorogenic acid on stadium duration was distinctly different for the two instars. Chlorogenic acid shortened stadium duration of first instar larvae. However, depending on thermal regime and the presence of tomatine, chlorogenic acid had a negative, positive or neutral effect on stadium duration of second instar larvae. Molting duration of second instar larvae was shortened by a half day at the warmer thermal regime but was not affected by the allelochemicals. Final larval weight was influenced by rutin and chlorogenic acid. Caterpillars fed diets containing 20 moles of rutin were on average 10% lighter than those fed plain diet, whereas those fed diets containing 20 moles of chlorogenic adic were on average 7% heavier. However, the effect of chlorogenic acid depended on thermal regime. Overall, our results indicated that: 1) temperature and food quality can interact to influence insect performance and 2) these effects are influenced by larval age.  相似文献

P-glycoprotein (pgp) is a membrane transport protein that causes multidrug resistance (MDR) by actively extruding a wide variety of cytotoxic agents out of cells. It may also function as a peptide transporter, a volume-regulated chloride channel, and an ATP channel. Previously, it has been shown that hamster pgp1 Pgp is expressed in more than one topological form and that the generation of these structures is modulated by charged amino acids flanking the predicted transmembrane (TM) segments 3 and 4 and by soluble cytoplasmic factors. Different topological structures of Pgp may be related to its different functions. In this study, we examined the effects of translation temperature on the membrane insertion process and the topologies of Pgp. Using the rabbit reticulocyte lysate expression system, we showed that translation at different temperatures affects the membrane insertion and orientation of the putative TM3 and TM4 of hamster pgp1 Pgp in a co-translational manner. This observation suggests that the membrane insertion process of TM3 and TM4 of Pgp molecules may involve a protein conducting channel and/or the interaction between TM3 and TM4, which act in a temperature sensitive manner. The effect of temperature on post-diapause development of the apple sawfly Hoplocampa testudinea Klug was studied under controlled conditions. Survival was found to decrease at temperatures higher than 15°C, the lethal temperature being close to 25°C. The lower thermal threshold was 4.5°C; the values for males and females did not differ significantly. However, different values were established for unprotected individuals, in vermiculite and in potting compost respectively. Based on the overall mean and variance of the developmental time and the overall thermal threshold a simple soil temperature driven phenology model was constructed using a time- varying distributed delay. The validation with independent field and semi-field data revealed the model to be a reliable tool to predict apple sawfly phenology and hence to determine the optimal time for the installation of white sticky traps or for control measures such as insecticide treatments.  相似文献

The responses of three chydorid species, Chydorus sphaericus(O.F. Müller), Alona affinis (Leydig) and Alonopsis elongata (Sars) to temperature, pH and food type were examined. Egg development time of all species decreased with increasing temperature, although the degree of change was different for each species. C. sphaericus had the fastest development time at all temperatures, and A. elongata the slowest. pH also affected the egg development time of each species differently. A. elongata failed to reproduce at low and medium pH, the egg development time of C. sphaericus was fastest at high pH while that of A. affinis was fastest at low pH. Food type was found to have significant effects on the population growth of individual species. C. sphaericus populations grew equally well in all three food types provided, and grew more than the other two species when fed on an algae culture, and filtered pond water. A. affinisand A. elongata populations grew best when fed on a detritus food source. The responses of each species to the different variables tested are discussed in relation to field observations of their distribution and abundance.  相似文献

The reactions of O+ Sarotherodon niloticus (L) to varying pH and temperature were studied in the laboratory using a minifluviarium. S. niloticus was found to tolerate pH — values as low as 5.0 without any marked effect. At values between 3.0 and 5.0 the fish lost orientation and showed signs of hyperactivity. Below 3.0, they died shortly after removal from the test — yard.Thermal behavior was tested for values ranging between 30° and 43 °C. Young S. niloticus were observed to prefer temperatures between 30° and 36 °C and avoid higher temperatures. Temperatures above 41 °C were lethal. Larger fish (6.0 to 8.0 cm.) showed more tolerance to increasing temperatures, however, when pH was considered, there was no significant difference between the sizes studied (P > 0.05).  相似文献
