硒是人体必需的微量元素,与人体健康关系密切.野生植物是硒资源利用的重要途径.现今对植物富硒方面的研究主要还集中在传统栽培的粮食作物和经济作物,而野生植物资源在这方面的研究报道还较少.湖北恩施州硒资源丰富,本文对具有此地方特色的野生植物碎米荠、葛、板桥党参、显齿蛇葡萄、紫箕在含硒量、硒的存在形式、富集硒的特性、富硒技术及硒产品的药理保健作用等方面的研究概况进行了综述,并对研究前景进行了展望,以期为进一步的研究和相应富硒产品的开发提供参考信息.  相似文献

在人工栽培灵芝中,通过外施硒盐以生物转化法获得富硒灵芝,以不同含硒量的富硒灵芝子实体为试样,系统研究了灵芝生物富硒后对其主要营养成分多糖、蛋白质、氨基酸和矿物质等的影响。结果表明:硒可以明显提高灵芝中多糖、蛋白质以及氨基酸的含量,但并不改变灵芝蛋白质的分布和蛋白质中氨基酸的组成配比,而对矿质元素则有不同的影响,如富硒灵芝子实体中人体必需微量营养元素硒有极明显地增加,而铜和钼等人体必需微量元素的含量有一定量的增加,但铁、钙、锶等矿质元素的含量则有所下降。  相似文献

采用微波水解、HPLC-HG-AFS法测定了硒蛋白粉、硒蛋白片、肽粉、富硒原料等19种硒产品中的总硒、硒代氨基酸和亚硒酸根离子[Se(IV)],分析了硒代氨基酸、Se(IV)和其他形态硒占总硒的百分比及不同形态硒代氨基酸的组成比例。以此为依据,将硒产品分为硒蛋白型、单一硒代氨基酸型、其它形态硒型及有机无机硒混合型。根据DBS42/002-2014规定建立了富有机硒产品评分模式,其中18种为富有机硒产品;根据适硒地区母乳中硒代氨基酸的组成比例提出了硒代氨基酸的化学评分模式,评分结果显示13种以蛋白态硒为主的硒产品中硒代氨基酸的组成比例均与母乳相差甚远,不利于人体平衡吸收利用,其中10种SeMet含量远远超过人体所需,SeCys_2为限制硒代氨基酸。该评分模式的建立对硒产品的开发具有指导意义。  相似文献

硒是一种重要的微量元素,在低浓度时对生物有益,但高浓度时呈现与重金属类似的毒性。植物作为人体硒摄入的主要来源,其硒代谢对于植物硒积累乃至人体硒营养水平十分重要。研究植物硒吸收、代谢和积累机理能指导富硒粮食的生产,是解决人体硒摄入不足/超量问题的有效途径。本文在阐述土壤硒含量、形态、生物有效性及分布的基础上,综述了植物对硒的吸收、代谢机理的研究进展,并讨论了农业生物强化以及遗传育种生物强化等两种硒生物强化的实践方法,以及利用硒生物强化缓解重金属毒性减少积累;最后,提出了植物硒代谢及硒生物强化研究的前沿问题,以期为改善人体硒营养水平提高人体健康状况提供理论和实践依据。  相似文献

A total of 75 male mice were allotted to five groups of 15 each in a completely randomized experimental design to study the effects of probiotics, inorganic selenium, and selenium-enriched probiotics on male fertility in hyperlipidemic status. The mice in group 1 were fed a normal basal diet and served as negative control. The mice in group 2 were fed a high fat diet and served as positive control. The mice in groups 3, 4, and 5 were fed the high fat diet supplemented with probiotics, inorganic selenium, and selenium-enriched probiotics, respectively. The high fat diet was composed of 15% lard, 1% cholesterol, 0.3% cholic acid, and 83.7% basal diet. Over 90% of the selenium in the selenium-enriched probiotics was present in forms of organic selenium. After the mice were fed these diets for 75 days, serumal total cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein, and testosterone levels, plus sperm index (count, motility and abnormalities), penis length, and weight and histopathology of testes were measured. The results showed that in the mice fed the high fat diet were significant (P < 0.01) elevations of serumal total cholesterol, triglycerides and low density lipoprotein, and decreases of high density lipoprotein. The high fat diet caused a decline in serumal testosterone level, reduced semen quality, and atrophy and degeneration of seminiferous tubules. No effects on penis length or relative weight of testis were observed. Supplementation of probiotics, inorganic selenium, or selenium-enriched probiotics to the high fat diet significantly alleviated (P < 0.05) the adverse effects of hyperlipidemia by reducing testicular tissue injury, increasing serumal testosterone level, and improving sperm indexes. It was concluded that hyperlipidemia had significant adverse effects on male fertility, which could be ameliorated at various degrees by feeding the diets supplemented with probiotics, inorganic selenium, or selenium-enriched probiotics. Selenium-enriched probiotics or inorganic selenium supplementation gave better results than probiotics supplementation and may be used to improve animal and human male fertility compromised by hyperlipidemia or obesity.  相似文献

Selenium at nutritional levels has been shown to have numerous anticarcinogenic or preventative effects against carcinogen-induced breast, colon, liver and skin cancer in animals. Many of these anticarcinogenic effects have been summarized. In addition, numerous mutagenic and antimutagenic effects of selenium compounds have been reported. Some of the selenium compounds frequently tested for mutagenicity are listed in Table 1. Because of the numerous reported anticarcinogenic and preventative effects of selenium, many individuals are supplementing their diets with amounts of selenium that are greater than the recommended daily requirement. Selenium is also used widely in industrial products such as selenium rectifiers, photoelectric batteries, alloys and paints. Because selenium at higher levels is known to be toxic, there should be a greater understanding about its genotoxic as well as its beneficial effect. The object of this review is to summarize experimental evidence both for the antimutagenic and the mutagenic effect of selenium.  相似文献

BackgroundSelenium is a trace element traditionally ingested either in its organic form via food or in its inorganic form through nutritional supplements, while selenium formulated as nanoparticles is a putative long-acting alternative. To understand the physiology and toxicology of the different selenium formulations, it is important to determine how their selenium content is absorbed, distributed, metabolised and excreted; therefore, we reviewed their biokinetics following oral exposure.MethodsWe retrieved and reviewed the literature on the absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of oral exposure to different forms of selenium.ResultsSelenium in both the organic form (containing carbon to selenium chemical bonds) and the inorganic form is absorbed into the blood in humans. The mean normal blood level of many studies was 139 μg/L. There are indications that selenium from organic sources is more bioavailable than selenium from inorganic sources. Selenium is distributed throughout the body, including in breast milk. The elimination of selenium mainly involves the faecal and urinary pathways, whereas breath, saliva and hair are minor contributors. Urinary metabolites include trimethylselenium ions, selenosugars and Se-methylselenoneine.ConclusionSelenium is absorbed to a high extent, and selenium from organic sources is more bioavailable than from inorganic sources. Selenium, as expected as an essential trace element, is distributed throughout the body. Selenium is extensively metabolised, and various excretion metabolites have been identified in both urine and breath, while some selenium is also excreted via faeces.  相似文献

Selenium added to the incubation mix containing rat-liver S9 modified both the metabolism and mutagenicity of benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) and several of its metabolites. Selenium (Na2SeO3) inhibited the S9-dependent mutagenic effects of BaP on Salmonella typhimurium strain TA100 as indicated by the number of histidine-dependent revertants counted. This inhibition was concentration-dependent over a range of 12.5 to 100 ppm. When used as the substrate the BaP metabolites 7,8-dihydrodiol, 9,10-dihydrodiol and 3-hydroxy also produced significantly fewer revertants in TA100 when selenium was included in the incubation mix. High-performance liquid chromatographic analysis of metabolites from S9-dependent metabolism of BaP indicated that selenium inhibited the formation of 3-hydroxy-BaP, 9,10-dihydrodiol, 7,8-dihydrodiol, 1,3- and 3,6-quinone. Eluting samples on an alumina column to isolate the conjugated metabolites showed that selenium caused 12% less binding to glucuronides, no significant differences in binding to sulfate esters or glutathione but the amount of unmetabolized BaP and unconjugated metabolites was increased by 48%. These results suggest that selenium inhibits S9-dependent BaP metabolism therefore reducing the mutagenic effects of this compound.  相似文献

Selenium is an essential trace element for mammals. Through selenoproteins, this mineral participates in various biological processes such as antioxidant defence, thyroid hormone production, and immune responses. Some reports indicate that a human organism deficient in selenium may be prone to certain diseases. Adverse health effects following selenium overexposure, although very rare, have been found in animals and people. Contrary to selenium, arsenic and cadmium are regarded as toxic elements. Both are environmental and industrial pollutants, and exposure to excessive amounts of arsenic or cadmium can pose a threat to many people’s health, especially those living in polluted regions. Two other elements, vanadium and chromium(III) in trace amounts are believed to play essential physiological functions in mammals. This review summarizes recent studies on selenium interactions with arsenic and cadmium and selenium interactions with vanadium and chromium in mammals. Human studies have demonstrated that selenium may reduce arsenic accumulation in the organism and protect against arsenic-related skin lesions. Selenium was found to antagonise the prooxidant and genotoxic effects of arsenic in rodents and cell cultures. Also, studies on selenium effects against oxidative stress induced by cadmium in various animal tissues produced promising results. Reports suggest that selenium protection against toxicity of arsenic and cadmium is mediated via sequestration of these elements into biologically inert conjugates. Selenium-dependent antioxidant enzymes probably play a secondary role in arsenic and cadmium detoxification. So far, few studies have evaluated selenium effects on chromium(III) and vanadium actions in mammals. Still, they show that selenium may interact with these minerals. Taken together, the recent findings regarding selenium interaction with other elements extend our understanding of selenium biological functions and highlight selenium as a potential countermeasure against toxicity induced by arsenic and cadmium.  相似文献

Selenium deficiency for periods of 5 or 6 weeks in rats produced an inhibition of tri-iodothyronine (T3) production from added thyroxine (T4) in brain, liver and kidney homogenate. This inhibition was reflected in plasma T4 and T3 concentrations, which were respectively increased and decreased in selenium-deficient animals. Although plasma T4 levels increased in selenium-deficient animals, this did not produce the normal feedback inhibition on thyrotropin release from the pituitary. Selenium deficiency was confirmed in the animals by decreased selenium-dependent glutathione peroxidase (Se-GSH-Px) activity in all of these tissues. Administration of selenium, as a single intraperitoneal injection of 200 micrograms of selenium (as Na2SeO3)/kg body weight completely reversed the effects of selenium deficiency on thyroid-hormone metabolism and partly restored the activity of Se-GSH-Px. Selenium administration at 10 micrograms/kg body weight had no significant effect on thyroid-hormone metabolism or on Se-GSH-Px activity in any of the tissues studied. The characteristic changes in plasma thyroid-hormone levels that occurred in selenium deficiency appeared not to be due to non-specific stress factors, since food restriction to 75% of normal intake or vitamin E deficiency produced no significant changes in plasma T4 or T3 concentration. These data are consistent with the view that the Type I and Type II iodothyronine deiodinase enzymes are seleno-enzymes or require selenium-containing cofactors for activity.  相似文献

Glutathione peroxidase and thioredoxin reductase are major selenoenzymes through which selenium exerts powerful antioxidant effects. Selenium also elicits pro-oxidant effects at toxic levels. The antioxidant and pro-oxidant effects, or bioavailability and toxicity, of selenium depend on its chemical form. Selenomethionine is considered to be the most appropriate supplemental form due to its excellent bioavailability and lower toxicity compared to various selenium compounds. The present studies reveal that, compared with selenomethionine, elemental selenium at nano size (Nano-Se) possesses equal efficacy in increasing the activities of glutathione peroxidase and thioredoxin reductase but has much lower toxicity as indicated by median lethal dose, acute liver injury, and short-term toxicity. Our results suggest that Nano-Se can serve as an antioxidant with reduced risk of selenium toxicity.  相似文献
