Anti-stress and anti-fatigue effects of fermented rice bran.   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
The anti-stress and anti-fatigue effects on rats and mice of a hot water extract of rice bran fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisae IFO 2346 were investigated. Oral administration (1 g/kg/day) of the hot water extract of fermented rice bran (FRB) inhibited major changes in the weight of the adrenal, thymus, spleen and thyroid, showing an anti-stress effect. The hot water extract of FRB also inhibited increases in the GPT and LDH activity, cholesterol and glucose in the serum. The administration (1 g/kg/day) for 2 weeks significantly prolonged the swimming time, resulting in an increase in the anti-fatigue effect. It is considered from these results that FRB had anti-stress and anti-fatigue effects.  相似文献

AIMS: The objective of the present study was to examine for the various biological activities for feed additives of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and fermented rice bran. METHODS: The feed additives (100 g of each: YE, brewery yeast; PM, mixture of YE and SF; SF, fermented rice bran) were decocted with 2 l water at 100 degrees C to a half volume. RESULTS: The hot-water extract of PM was found to increase the stimulation of the macrophage activation (2.0-fold) and the intestinal immune modulating activity (1.8-fold), compared with those of control. When the hot-water extracts of PM, SF and YE were fed to the rats for 8 d (1 g kg-1 d-1), PM and SF showed the more effective anti-stress effect on spleen, thyroid and thymus gland. SIGNIFICANCE AND IMPACT OF THE STUDY: The hot-water extract of PM can have a significant impact on strengthening the living body's immune system and proliferating anti-stress activities with relation to enhance immunity.  相似文献

ObjectiveThe present study intended to explore the anti-fatigue and anti-hypoxia efficacy of Tremella extract in mouse model.MethodsKunming mice were randomized into 5 groups randomly (n = 12/group; half male and female), and given 0.9%Nacl (10 mL/Kg Serving as blank control group)orally, 0.6 g/kg rhodiola capsule (Serving as positive group) and Tremella extract at doses of high (3.0 g/kg), middle (1.5 g/kg) and low (0.5 g/kg) once a day for 14 days. At the end of drug intragastric gavage, following endurance running test, rotating rod test, normobarie hypoxia test and sodium nitrite poisoning test were performed.Result14-day Tremella extract administration fails to influence mouse horizontal and vertical movement indicating little neurotoxicity at chosen doses. Through rotating rod, forced running test, the anti-fatigue activity of Tremella extract was demonstrated. Via normobarie hypoxia test, sodium nitrite poisoning test, Tremella extract was confirmed to possess anti-hypoxia effect. Tremella extract treatment significantly enhanced the liver levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), increased the expressions of ATP and hepatic glycogen, muscle glycogen in tissue.ConclusionWe conclude that Tremella extract efficiently enhances mouse fatigue endurance and anti-hypoxia capability partly through energy reserves and antioxidant enzyme activity.  相似文献

Defatted rice bran extracts were obtained by subcritical treatment using aqueous acetone as extractant. Treatment with 40% (v/v) acetone at 230 °C for 5 min yielded an extract with the highest 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity (0.274 mmol of ascorbic acid/g of bran), total carbohydrate (0.188 g/g of bran), protein (0.512 g/g of bran), and total phenolic contents (88.2 mg of gallic acid/g of bran). The effect of treatment temperature (70-230 °C) was investigated using 40% (v/v) acetone, and the extract under 230 °C treatment showed the highest levels of all the determinations described above. The extracts obtained with various concentrations of aqueous acetone were subjected to UV absorption spectra and HPLC analysis, and the results showed changes in composition and polarity. Antioxidative activity evaluated against oxidation of bulk linoleic acid of the extract obtained with 80% (v/v) acetone was higher than that not only of the extract from subcritical water treatment but also of that obtained 40% (v/v) acetone treatment.  相似文献

To examine the distribution of rice bran tocotrienol (T3), we gave rice bran T3 to rats after considering an acceptable daily intake of vitamin E for humans. Male SD rats (5 weeks of age) were fed for 3 weeks on a commercial diet containing 6.4 mg of vitamin E per 100 g wt and additively received vitamin E or the vehicle (vitamin E-free corn oil) by oral intubation. The animals were randomly divided into 4 groups depending on the type of test diet: control (vehicle), non-T3 (no T3 + 4.3 mg of tocopherol (TOC)/kg body weight (b.w.)/day), low-T3 (0.8 mg T3 + 3.5 mg TOC/kg b.w./day), and high-T3 (3.2 mg T3 + 1.1 mg TOC/kg b.w./day). The control rats and rats in the non-T3, low-T3, and high-T3 groups took 4.3 and 8.6 mg of vitamin E/kg b.w./day, respectively. Rice bran γ-T3 was significantly distributed to the adipose tissue and increased from 1.1 to 10.2 nmol/g of adipose tissue according to the rice bran T3 intake.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to evaluate fermented rice bran phospholipids, lipids and fatty acid content in a fermentation solid system with Rhizopus oryzae fungus. For this, aliquots were withdrawn every 24h over 120 h. The content of phospholipids was determined by colorimetric method. Esterified fatty acids were separated by gas chromatography, then identified and quantified. The total lipids from fermented rice bran (FB) decreased from 20.4% to 11.2% in the range between 0 h and 120 h of fermentation while phospholipid contents were increased up to 2.4 mg P g(lipid)(-1). In fermented bran, oleic, palmitic and linoleic acids prevailed, with a decrease in saturated fatty acids (20%) and increase in the unsaturated ones (5%). This study showed that rice bran fermentation with R. oryzae can be applied to the production of phospholipids altering the saturated to unsaturated fatty acid ratio.  相似文献

Rice and wheat brans, without additional nutrients and hydrolyzed by alpha-amylase and amyloglucosidase, were fermented to DL-lactic acid using a newly isolated strain of Lactobacillus sp. RKY2. In batch fermentations at 36 degrees C and pH 6, the amount of lactic acid in fermentation broth reached 129 g l(-1) by supplementation of rice bran with whole rice flour. The maximum productivity was 3.1 g lactic acid l(-1) h(-1) in rice bran medium supplemented with whole rice flour or whole wheat flour.  相似文献

In order to reduce the raw material cost of d-lactic acid fermentation, the unpolished rice from aging paddy was used as major nutrient source in this study. The unpolished rice saccharificate, wheat bran powder and yeast extract were employed as carbon source, nitrogen source and growth factors, respectively. Response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to optimize the dosages of medium compositions. As a result, when the fermentation was carried out under the optimal conditions for wheat bran powder (29.10 g/l) and yeast extract (2.50 g/l), the d-lactic acid yield reached 731.50 g/kg unpolished rice with a volumetric production rate of 1.50 g/(l h). In comparison with fresh corn and polished rice, the d-lactic acid yield increased by 5.79% and 8.71%, and the raw material cost decreased by 65% and 52%, respectively, when the unpolished rice was used as a major nutrient source. These results might provide a reference for the industrial production of d-lactic acid.  相似文献

To reduce nutrient cost for lactic acid production, rice bran, one of agricultural wastes, was chosen as a nutrient source in this study. Although rice bran is rich in protein and vitamins, the use of rice bran without any treatment was inefficient in lactic acid production. Rice bran was treated by acid-hydrolysis before it was put in experiment, when it was hydrolyzed at initial pH 1, 30 g/L rice bran could provide a productivity to that degree of about 8 g/L YE, showing such a desirable result that the use of rice bran as nutrient source would be a solution for reducing nutrient cost. However, the addition of hydrolyzed rice bran prolonged lag phase of fermentation, especially, in the fermentation with rice bran hydrolyzed at initial pH 0.5, a prolonged lag phase of about 40 h was observed. According to the quantitative determination of thiamine, pyridoxine, organic nitrogen and carbon, the prolongation of lag phase might be the result from the destruction of B vitamins and excessive hydrolysis of protein. To shorten the lag phase, combining hydrolyzed rice bran with yeast extract (YE) of small amount was considered to be a solution. When 3g/L YE was combined with 30 g/L rice bran hydrolyzed at initial pH 1, obtained was a productivity 1.6 times higher than that of the control fermentation with 15 g/L YE.  相似文献

As rice bran contains various nutrients and other proteins of which a part has biological effects on animal cells, we tested the effect of rice bran extract on rat mesenchymal stem cells (rMSCs) obtained from bone marrow. These rMSCs are pluripotent and can be readily induced to differentiate into a number of cell types, including bone and cartilage. rMSC was aggregated by culturing in serum-free condition with rice bran extract, but was not aggregated by culturing in serum-free condition or in serum-containing medium. Moreover, the longer aggregates of rMSCs were cultured in serum-free condition with rice bran extract, the more the aggregates grew. After two passages in serum-free conditions, rMSCs lost their potency for differentiation into osteogenic cells; however, the addition of rice bran extract to serum-free medium successfully prevented the loss of this ability for differentiation. In addition, MSC makers CD105 and CD166 gene expression in serum-free condition with rice barn extract corresponded to these expressions in serum-containing medium. This result suggests that certain factors in rice bran could be bioactive and contribute toward retaining the ability of MSCs to differentiate into osteogenic cells after passaging.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to investigate body fat-suppressive effects of green tea in rats fed on a high-fat diet and to determine whether the effect is associated with beta-adrenoceptor activation of thermogenesis in brown adipose tissue. Feeding a high-fat diet containing water extract of green tea at the concentration of 20g/kg diet prevented the increase in body fat gain caused by high-fat diet without affecting energy intake. Energy expenditure was increased by green tea extract which was associated with an increase in protein content of interscapular brown adipose tissue. The simultaneous administration of the beta-adrenoceptor antagonist propranolol(500 mg/kg diet) inhibited the body fat-suppressive effect of green tea extract. Propranolol also prevented the increase in protein content of interscapular brown adipose tissue caused by green tea extract. Digestibility was slightly reduced by green tea extract and this effect was not affected by propranolol. Therefore it appeared that green tea exerts potent body fat-suppressive effects in rats fed on a high-fat diet and the effect was resulted in part from reduction in digestibility and to much greater extent from increase in brown adipose tissue thermogenesis through beta-adrenoceptor activation.  相似文献

The effects of decoctions prepared from Antrodia camphorata on antioxidant, nitrite scavenging, and antitumor activities were investigated. Glutathione (GSH) production was 18.2 μM/g of rat liver under the influence of a methanol extract, a result similar to with the effect of silymarin administration. GSH peroxidase activity was about 2.0-fold higher than with silymarin administration. Superoxide dismutase activity was 18.9 U/mg protein, about 2.5-fold higher than the control group. The hot water extract (1000 μg/mL) showed the highest nitrite scavenging activity at 98.1%, similar to those observed with BHA and vitamin E. Among a variety of human cancer cell lines, when the concentration of hot water extract was increased from 31 to 500 μg/mL, the viability of Hep3B cell was decreased from 100 to 60.7%. On the other hand, in the case of methanol extract, it was decreased from 98.4 to 10.0%. These results supported the conclusion that the antioxidant, nitrite scavenging, and antitumor activities of this A. camphorata methanol extract indicate a potential source for the development of various health supplements and pharmaceutical and nutraceutical applications.  相似文献

采用上下移动法,醋酸扭体法、热板法、福尔马林致痛试验对臭灵丹水提取物的急性毒性及镇痛作用进行了研究。结果显示:臭灵丹水提取物LD50(腹腔注射)为1.19g/kg;臭灵丹水提取物明显抑制醋酸所致的小鼠扭体数,显著减少福尔马林致痛试验后期小鼠舔足行为;而对热板法所致疼痛无明显作用。表明臭灵丹水提取物具有一定的外周镇痛作用。  相似文献

To study the fermentation characteristics of different non-conventional dietary fibre (DF) sources with varying levels of indigestible CP content and their effects on the production of fermentation metabolites and on faecal nitrogen (N) excretion, an experiment was conducted with 40 growing pigs (initial BW 23 kg) using wheat bran (WB), pea hulls (PH), pea inner fibres (PIF), sugar beet pulp (SBP) or corn distillers dried grains with solubles (DDGS). The diets also contained soya protein isolate, pea starch and sucrose, and were supplemented with vitamin-mineral premix. Faecal samples were collected for 3 consecutive days from day 10, fed with added indigestible marker (chromic oxide) for 3 days from day 13 and pigs were slaughtered on day 16 from the beginning of the experiment. Digesta from the ileum and colon were collected and analysed for short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) and ammonia (NH3) content. The apparent total tract N digestibility was the lowest (P < 0.001) in diets based on DDGS (74%), medium in diets with WB and SBP (76% each) and highest in those with PIF and PH (79% and 81%, respectively). Expressed per kg fermented non-starch polysaccharides (NSP), faecal N excretion was higher with DDGS and WB diets (130 and 113 g/kg NSP fermented, respectively) and lower with PIF, PH and SBP diets (42, 52 and 55 g/kg NSP fermented, respectively). The PH-based diets had the highest (P < 0.05) SCFA concentrations, both in the ileum and the colon (27 and 122 mMol/kg digesta, respectively). The highest NH3 concentration was also found in the colon of pigs fed with PH (132 mMol/kg digesta). Loading plot of principle component analysis revealed that the CP : NSP ratio was positively related with faecal N excretion and NH3 concentration in colon contents, whereas negatively related with SCFA concentration in colon contents. In conclusion, pea fibres and SBP increased SCFA and reduced NH3 concentration in the pig's intestine and reduced faecal N excretion, which makes pea fibres and SBP an interesting ingredient to use in pig diet to improve the positive effect of DF fermentation on the gastrointestinal tract and reduce faecal N excretion.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to evaluate the efficacy of fermented aloe vera mixed diet on larval growth of Protaetia brevitarsis seulensis (Kolbe) (coleopteran: Cetoniidae) and protective effects of extract of larvae of P. brevitarsis seulensis fed fermented aloe vera mixed diet against Carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)‐induced hepatotoxicity in Sprague–Dawley rats. To determine whether different diets can affect the larval growth of P. brevitarsis seulensis, six different diets were investigated in the experiment, and the results exhibited that 15% fermented aloe vera with 85% fermented oakwood sawdust was the best diet for larval growth of this insect, followed by 9% fermented aloe vera with 91% fermented oakwood sawdust. Adult male Sprague–Dawley rats (n= 30) were separated into five groups of six each, as follows: control group; CCl4 group; CCl4 plus larval extract group (without fermented aloe vera); CCl4 plus 9% and 15% larval extract groups (with fermented aloe vera). All extract groups were fed with 30 mg/kg extracts of fermented oakwood sawdust only and fermented oakwood sawdust plus 9% and 15% fermented aloe vera, respectively, once every consecutive day, with administration of CCl4 (1.5 mL/kg, 20% CCl4 in olive oil) twice a week for 3 weeks. Administration of CCl4 increased the serum alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotranseferase and thiobarbituric acid reactive substance levels in rats and reduced levels of glutathione in the liver. Treatment with extract of larval‐fed fermented aloe vera mixed diet significantly alleviated these changes to nearly normal levels. The histopathological changes induced by CCl4 were also significantly attenuated by extract of larval‐fed fermented aloe vera mixed diet treatment. The results suggest that the beneficial effect of fermented aloe vera mixed diet on larval growth may be to stimulate the larval life cycle, and 15% larval‐fed fermented aloe vera mixed diet exhibits potent hepatoprotective effects on CCl4‐induced liver injury in rats, likely due to increased glutathione contents and the inhibition of lipid peroxidation.  相似文献

本文研究了沙棘籽渣水提物(Aqueous extract of seabuckthorn seed residues,ASSR)对正常及糖尿病小鼠血糖、血脂代谢的影响。首先采用ASSR灌胃昆明种小鼠的急性毒性试验评价了ASSR的安全性;继而以250mg/kg和500 mg/kg剂量的ASSR连续灌胃正常小鼠3周;以250、500和800 mg/kg剂量的ASSR连续灌胃Al-loxan诱导的糖尿病小鼠3周,监测血糖,测定体重、血清胰岛素、总胆固醇和甘油三酯水平。结果显示:ASSR的LD50大于9.8 g/kg体重;连续给药3周,ASSR对正常小鼠的血糖和血脂代谢没有明显影响,但能明显降低糖尿病小鼠的血清葡萄糖和甘油三酯水平。上述结果表明:ASSR的LD50大于5 g/kg体重,按WHO急性毒性分级标准属于实际无毒级,其在实验性1型糖尿病小鼠模型上具有降血糖和降甘油三酯活性。  相似文献

Lactic acid fermentation of cooked rice and rice koji by supplementation with soybean extract (SBE) and its application to rice miso fermentation were investigated. By supplementing the cooked rice with SBE, lactic acid bacteria (LAB) grew well without any unfavorable effects on the rice such as off-flavor or coloration. Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis IFO12007 (Lc. lactis, a producer of the bacteriocin nisin) proliferated at 10(8 to approximately 9) cells/g after 24 h of incubation and produced high activity of nisin. The fermented rice with Lc. lactis strongly inhibited not only Bacillus subtilis ATCC19659 but also the other Bacillus strains. While some strains of LAB markedly inhibited the growth of Asp. oryzae, resulting in failure of koji fermentation, Lc. lactis did not affect the growth of these molds. When Lc. lactis was used for rice miso fermentation as a lactic acid starter culture, Lc. lactis rapidly proliferated and produced high nisin activity of 6,400 IU/g, in the steamed rice, resulting in complete growth inhibition of B. subtilis, which had been inoculated at the beginning of the koji fermentation. The rice miso after 12 weeks of aging had a suitable pH, and favorable taste and color. Furthermore, hyposalting of rice miso could be done without difficulty by lactic acid fermentation of both rice and soybeans.  相似文献

本文对樟芝谷物固态发酵产物抗氧化性能及活性成分进行了研究.在所选谷物中,樟芝青稞固态发酵产物的乙醇提取物总抗氧化性最好,较未发酵青稞提高了4.02倍.通过无水乙醇50℃水浴振荡提取80 min,其总抗氧化性达到了769.60 U/g.对其抗氧化性能分析发现,樟芝青稞固态发酵乙醇提取物为6 mg/L时,对DP P H自由基、羟基自由基以及超氧阴离子的去除率分别为91.9%、51.2%、61.3%,对铁离子的螯合能力为79.5%.相对于未发酵谷物,大米、小米、玉米以及青稞的樟芝发酵产物中总酚含量均有显著的提升,其中青稞乙醇提取和水提取物中总酚含量分别提高了2.36倍和4.23倍.通过HP LC分析可知,樟芝固态发酵产物含有丰富的活性化合物,包括马来酸衍生物(Antrodin)以及泛醌类衍生物(Antroquinonol),且各组分含量较为均衡;而樟芝液态发酵菌丝体乙醇提取物中主要活性成分为马来酸衍生物,不含有泛醌类化合物.  相似文献
