A new species of salamander, Hynobius yangi, is described from Kori (=Hyoam-ri), Busan-shi, southeastern Korea. It is a lentic breeder belonging to the H. nebulosus species group, and has long been confused with another Korean species H. leechii. The new species, however, is genetically substantially differentiated from Korean and Japanese relatives. Hynobius yangi is morphologically very similar to H. leechii, but could be differentiated from it by the tail shape, degree of limb separation, shape of vomerine teeth series, shape of egg sac, and dorsal coloration.  相似文献

本文报道了安吉小鲵(Hynobiusamjiensis)、中国小鲵(H.chinensis)、东北小鲵(H.leechi)(辽宁桓仁)和极北鲵(Salamandrelakeyserlingi)(吉林白河)的核型。3种小鲵2n=56,染色体按大小和形状分为大、中、小型双臂和小型单臂4组。极北鲵2n=62,染色体按大小和形状可分为大、中、小型3组。对东北小鲵辽宁桓仁与辽宁千山标本核型的显著差异结合分类学问题进行了讨论。对3种小鲵核型进行了比较分析,并讨论了中国的小鲵属核型特点。比较了不同地区极北鲵核型的异同,并将其与小鲵属核型进行了比较。  相似文献

Korean salamanders of the genus Hynobius are currently classified into 3 species, H. leechii, H. quelpaertensis, and H. yangi. To investigate the phylogenetic relationship of these species, we analyzed the partial sequence of mitochondrial cytochrome b gene (907 bp) of 197 specimens from 43 regions in South Korea. Of these specimens, 93 were additionally examined with 12S rRNA (799 bp). Based on the partial sequence of the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene and 12S rRNA, 89 and 36 haplotypes were defined, respectively, consisting of six subclades (H. leechii, H. quelpaertensis, H. yangi, HC1, HC2, and HC3). Among these subclades, the three subclades (HC1, HC2, and HC3) were clearly separated from the 3 previously reported species in the genus Hynobius. Pairwise sequence divergence between the six subclades ranged from 6.3 to 11.2% in cytochrome b gene and 2.0 to 4.3% in 12S rRNA. These results indicate there may be more divergent populations than the three currently described. Moreover, the estimation of divergence time revealed that the Hynobius species in South Korea diverged during the Miocene epoch, approximately 9 — 5 MYA. In addition, we confirmed the distribution of the three known species (H. leechii, H. quelpaertensis, and H. yangi) and determined the distributions of new, distinct groups (or subclades; HC1, HC1, and HC3). To more accurately establish the taxonomic status and population structure, further genetic, morphological, and ecological studies will be needed.  相似文献

We conducted an electrophoretic survey to examine systematic relationships of a lotic-breeding salamander Hynobius okiensis endemic to Dogo Island of the Oki Islands, Japan, with several lentic and lotic-breeding Japanese species. Genetically H. okiensis with 2n=56 chromosomes was closer to the lentic-breeding H. nebulosus group (H. nebulosus and H. dunni) with the same chromosome number than to the lotic-breeding H. naevius group (H. naevius and H. kimurae) and H. boulengeri with 58 chromosomes. Chromosome number reduction from 58 to 56, possibly accompanied with a change in breeding environment from streams to still waters, is estimated to have first occurred in the nebulosus group of Hynobius. A reversal only in breeding habits then seems to have followed in steep, montane environments of the small island of Dogo, resulting in the speciation of H. okiensis.  相似文献

The complete mitochondrial genome (JN415127) was sequenced and annotated newly from an individual of Hynobius yangi populations which were collected in Ulju-gun, Korea. 本文应用脊椎动物神经标本制作法和HE染色法,对东北小鲵中枢神经系统的外部形态和组织学结构进行了初步研究,描述了东北小鲵神经系统形态和组织学结构的特点,并与无尾两栖类和爬行类相对比,探讨了有尾两栖类的进化地位。结果表明:与无尾两栖类(如蛙)相比,东北小鲵中枢神经系统中,大脑半球较小,结构较为原始,小脑结构简单,是两栖类中较为原始的类群。此外,东北小鲵开始具有了臂神经丛和骶神经丛,但没有爬行类的发达,可作为两栖类向爬行类进化的证据之一。  相似文献

Using complete sequences of cytochrome b (cyt b) and control region (CR; D-loop) genes of mitochondrial DNA, we investigated the phylogenetic relationships and phylogeography among populations of the salamander Hynobius tokyoensis in northern Japan. Inclusion of populations from Aichi, Chubu region within Hynobius nebulosus by previous results was confirmed because they formed a clade with H. nebulosus. Monophyly of H. tokyoensis was supported in all trees analyzed, and two clades consistently emerged: clade A from northeastern Kanto (Ibaraki) to southern Tohoku (Fukushima), and clade B from the remaining area south of northern Kanto (Tochigi). These two clades are estimated to have an old history of divergence during the late Pliocene, when the present-day Kanto Plain was under the sea. Within clade B, three haplotypes groups (I-III) are hypothesized to have diverged more recently, i.e., between the early and mid-Pleistocene, probably in relation to glacial events. The ancestral groups I and II were separated at the present-day western Kanto and Boso Peninsula areas, respectively, and subsequently, group II invaded northward to the present-day northern Kanto area and gave rise to group III. Populations of the Miura Peninsula are thought to have multiple origins, one directly from Boso and another from a more recent southward invasion from the northern Kanto area. Cytochrome b appears to have evolved more quickly than CR genes in H. tokyoensis, and thus will be more useful for phylogenetic analyses and formulating conservation measures.  相似文献

The previous study showed that the red coloration of the ventral skin of the Japanese newt Cynops pyrrhogaster was associated with the number of carotenoid vesicles and the content of carotenoid in the pigment cell of the skin. To elucidate the mechanism for the red coloration of the skin of the newt, we studied the food habit of the juvenile from the Japanese newt Cynops pyrrhogaster. Sixty-two juveniles were collected in Fukue Island in Nagasaki Prefecture from November 2000 to May 2002 and divided into 2 groups according to the snout-vent length (SVL). Over 400 prey animals were obtained from the juveniles by stomach flushing. In the larger group (SVL>30.0mm), Collembola (45.4%) and Acari (12.6%), which are very common species of soil animals, were the prey animals dominant in number. In the group with the smaller SVL (<29.9mm), Collembola (30.4%) and Acari (25.4%) were in number as well. We also studied the food habit of the Japanese clouded salamander, Hynobius nebulosus. In the salamander, Doratodesmidae (56.5%) and Amphipoda (13%) were the prey animals dominant in number. Our results, taken together, suggest that the Japanese juvenile C. pyrrhogaster does not change its food habit as it grows, and that it eats soil animals common in its habitat. Moreover, the food habit of juvenile C. pyrrhogaster differs from that of H. nebulosus, although the juveniles of both species live in the same area.  相似文献

The age structure of breeding females of Hynobius nebulosus has not been studied sufficiently. We estimated the ages of 76 individuals from a population in Kyoto by using skeletochronology. The mean age and snout-vent length (SVL) of this population were 4.6 years and 55.7 mm, respectively. It was estimated that the youngest females breed two years post hatching at a mean SVL of 46.5 mm, but a larger number of individuals begins breeding at three years and a mean SVL of 52.2 mm. Because most males also start to breed at three years, there seems to be no gender difference in the timing of sexual maturation. The age of the oldest female was estimated to be 11.8 years. It is possible that the life history of H. nebulosus is characterized by early maturation and arrested growth, and short longevity.  相似文献

To investigate the mechanisms that account for the voltage dependence of fertilization and provide an electrical block to polyspermy, we studied cross-fertilizations between three species of amphibians having different degrees of voltage dependence. Anurans, such as the toad Bufo japonicus, as well as the primitive urodele Hynobius nebulosus, have voltage-dependent fertilization; other urodeles, such as Cynops pyrrhogaster, have voltage-independent fertilization (Y. Iwao, 1989, Dev. Biol. 134, 438-445). Entry of Hynobius sperm into Cynops eggs was blocked by clamping the egg's membrane potential at +40 mV, as is the case for fertilization of Hynobius eggs with Hynobius sperm, but not for fertilization of Cynops eggs with Cynops sperm. Therefore, fertilization was voltage dependent in an experimental condition where only the sperm could be contributing this characteristic. The voltage-dependent properties of fertilization between Bufo eggs and Hynobius sperm were also characteristic of the sperm species; fertilization was blocked at +50 mV as in Hynobius fertilization, but not at +20 mV as in Bufo fertilization. These results support the conclusion that the voltage dependence of fertilization results from a component contributed by the sperm.  相似文献

在西双版纳,钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂Eupristina sp.和杨氏榕树金小蜂Diaziella yangi均在雌花期进入钝叶榕果内繁殖和传粉,比较研究它们进入榕果的行为和活动时间。结果显示:在搜寻苞片处进蜂口时,2种榕小蜂的种内均出现打斗行为,并且杨氏榕树金小蜂的打斗更为激烈,但种间没有打斗行为发生,杨氏榕树金小蜂总是等待钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂先期进入榕果,然后才跟随着进入。在搜寻和进入苞片口通道阶段,钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂均比杨氏榕树金小蜂花费较长时间;而在果腔内产卵、传粉的时间,2种榕小蜂均最多不超过3d。相似的进蜂过程和活动时间,可能是2种榕小蜂与寄主榕树长期协同进化的结果。  相似文献

Using starch gel electrophoresis, geographical enzyme variation was surveyed in 46 populations of the Japanese salamander Hynobius nebulosus , which occurs widely in western Japan. This species exhibits substantial local genetic differentiation and is more diverse in inland regions than on small islands. In several different analyses, two groups of populations, one from Kyushu Island to the westernmost part of Chugoku district, Honshu (western group), and another from Shikoku through Kinki to Chubu district, Honshu (eastern group), were consistently recognized. Most of the remaining populations were placed in two less clearly-defined groups: the montane group from the Chugoku Mountains and the Chugoku group from the coastal regions of Chugoku district. The divergence patterns of H. nebulosus are thought to be related to the geological history of its range. The populations near the boundary of the western group were found to share several alleles that were predominant on both sides of the boundary, indicating past secondary contact. Differentiation in the montane group did not follow the isolation by distance model, probably because several populations included were genetically mixed with lowland populations of the Chugoku group.  © 2006 The Linnean Society of London, Biological Journal of the Linnean Society , 2006, 89 , 311–330.  相似文献

为了研究阿特拉津和毒死蜱单一及联合暴露对东北小鲵(Hynobius leechii)蝌蚪抗氧化酶活性的影响,实验选择不同浓度、不同时间点阿特拉津和毒死蜱单一及联合暴露对东北小鲵蝌蚪超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-PX)及丙二醛(MDA)的影响。结果表明,随着暴露时间的增加及各处理组浓度的升高,超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶(GSH-PX)活性明显降低,丙二醛(MDA)水平明显上升,从而说明阿特拉津和毒死蜱单一及联合暴露会对东北小鲵蝌蚪的抗氧化酶系活性产生影响,进而产生毒理效应。当暴露21 d后,通过恢复实验,发现恢复末期与暴露末期相比,低浓度组和中浓度组上述3种酶活性变化不显著,而高浓度组上述3酶活性均有明显改善。  相似文献

 榕树(Ficus)及其传粉榕小蜂(Agaonidae)构成了高度专一的互惠共生体系。榕树的果实(以下简称榕果)内也寄生着一些非传粉小蜂。 绝大多数非传粉小蜂在榕果外把产卵器刺入果壁产卵到果腔内, 只有极少数种类能够进入果腔内产卵。在西双版纳地区, 钝叶榕(Ficus curtipes)上的杨氏榕树金小蜂(Diaziella yangi)类似于传粉者钝叶榕小蜂(Eupristina sp.), 它也是进入榕果内产卵繁殖后代的, 这就为比 较研究榕果内产卵小蜂与寄主榕树间的关系提供了材料。该文从形态学、行为学和生态学角度比较研究了这两种进入榕果内产卵的小蜂与寄主 钝叶榕之间的作用关系, 研究结果显示: 1)杨氏榕树金小蜂与钝叶榕小蜂的雌蜂头部形状存在趋同进化; 2)两种小蜂的产卵器的平均长度都比 雌花花柱长, 因而能把卵产在子房里; 3)钝叶榕小蜂从瘿花出来需要3~5 h, 交配需要17~19 min, 杨氏榕树金小蜂从瘿花出来只需18~20 min, 交配时间为20~30 s; 4)在自然群落中, 大约90%的雌花期榕果里都只进一只杨氏榕树金小蜂和一只钝叶榕小蜂, 杨氏榕树金小蜂能通过传粉来 增加榕树种子数量, 但对钝叶榕小蜂种群的繁衍造成了极显著的负面影响; 5)两种小蜂于同一时期进入榕果内繁殖, 子代同期成熟羽化, 发育 期与榕树雄花的发育期同步。研究表明: 进入榕果内繁殖的两种小蜂与寄主榕树之间存在着协同进化关系, 杨氏榕树金小蜂为榕树有效地传粉, 这可能是一个由寄生者向互惠方向进化的实例。  相似文献

Allozyme analysis for 41 populations of brown frog species, Rana dybowskii, R. huanrenensis, and R. amurensis from Korea and three reference species (Chinese R. chensinensis and Japanese R. dybowskii and R. tsushimensis), were performed to clarify taxonomic status of Korean brown frogs. The level of average genetic differentiation (Nei's D) among local populations of each species in Korea was very low (D<0.01 2) and Korean and Japanese R. dybowskii also showed conspecific level of differentiation (D=0.070). Whereas, much larger, discrete genetic differences were detected in the interspecific comparisons (D>0.370). In the genetic relationships among five species examined, the 24 chromosome brown frogs (R. dybowskii, R. huanrenensis, and R. chensinensis) did not form a monophyletic group. Rana dybowskii with the chromosome number of 2n=24 was grouped together with R. amurensis with the chromosome number of 2n=26. The hypothesis of reversal change from 24 to 26 in Korean R. amurensis seems to better explain the phylogenetic relationships of east Asian brown frogs than the assumption of parallel reduction in chromosome number from 2n=26 to 24 in R. dybowskii and in the common ancestor of R. huanrenensis and R. chensinensis. The genetic, morphological, and reproductive divergences between Korean R. dybowskii and R. huanrenensis were compared.  相似文献

A Japanese small salamander, Hynobius naevius (Temminck and Schlegel, 1838), has recently proven to include two species (larger [A] and smaller [B]) that are reproductively isolated and are genetically and morphologically distinct from each other. Of these two species, Species A is considered to correspond to true H. naevius. To determine the name of Species B, we investigated five specimens stored at Kyushu University and concluded from the locality and date of collection that they represent syntypes of H. n. yatsui Oyama, 1947. Results of morphological comparisons indicated that the syntypes are identical with Species B. Because this species is distinct from Hynobius naevius at the species level, subspecies H. n. yatsui is elevated to full species rank as H. yatsui. To avoid taxonomic confusion, we designated one male among the syntypes as the lectotype and redescribed the species.  相似文献

Allozyme Diversity in Populations of Cymbidium goeringii (Orchidaceae)   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Abstract: Using 14 allozyme loci, we investigated levels of genetic diversity within populations, and degree of genetic divergence among 24 populations of Cymbidium goeringii (Orchidaceae) in Korea and Japan. Cymbidium goeringii maintains high levels of genetic diversity both at population (mean expected heterozygosity, H e = 0.238) and species levels (0.260). Means of H e found in 24 populations were not significantly different from each other. About 90 % of the total variation in the species is common to all populations (mean G ST = 0.108). No unique allele was found in any population. The indirect estimate of gene flow based on the mean G ST was high ( Nm = 2.06). Nei's genetic identities for pairs of populations had high values (mean = 0.974 [SD = 0.013]). The Mantel-Z test showed a significant correlation between genetic distance and geographic distance. However, the mean G ST value between 17 populations in Korea and seven Japanese populations was relatively low (0.029), even though the land connection between the southern Korean peninsula and southern Japanese archipelagos has not existed since the middle Pleistocene. Large numbers of small seeds of C. goeringii might travel long distances by wind from populations to populations both in Korea and Japan, increasing genetic diversity within populations and maintaining low genetic differentiation among populations.  相似文献

钝叶榕 (Ficus curtipes)是雌雄同株,它除了依赖钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂Eupristina sp.传粉外,另外两种进入果内繁殖的杨氏榕树金小蜂Diaziella yangi 和Lipothymus sp.金小蜂也能有效地为它传粉,这3种小蜂同时产卵于雌花的子房内,在榕果内繁殖后代.通过控制性放蜂试验,比较研究钝叶榕3种传粉者的传粉效率,结果表明:自然状态下,3种小蜂在绝大多数榕果里只各进1头.在控制性放蜂试验中,3种小蜂的传粉效率均随着放入雌蜂数量的增加而增加,两种金小蜂的传粉效率有时比钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂的传粉效率还高.当钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂分别与两种金小蜂同时放入榕果内传粉时,其生产的种子数量居于或者是接近两种小蜂单独传粉时形成的种子数量,传粉效率没有显著增加.在比较3种小蜂单种分别放1头和2头的传粉效率时,增加单果放蜂数量,钝叶榕传粉榕小蜂和Lipothymus sp. 的平均传粉效率降低,但杨氏榕树金小蜂的平均传粉效率是增加的.对3种不同属传粉小蜂传粉效率的比较,可为研究榕-蜂互惠系统的互惠的起源提供依据.  相似文献
