The rhizosphere environment of tea (Camelllia sinensis Kuntze) intercropped with persimmon (Diospyros kaki) differs from monocultures of tea.A trial was conducted to determine the effects of intercropping with persimmon on root exudates and soil nutrient condition of tea.Amino acid exuded in intercropping was three times higher than that in monoculture.Phenol,phenol/amino acid ration,dissolved sugar,and total organic acid were also lower in intercropping.The value of pH in soil was higher,and soil nutrient condition of rhizosphere,especially available nutrient,was not as well in intercropping as that in tea grown alone.While soil nutrient of non-rhizosphere was better than that in monoculture,tea quality and soil nutrient condition were better in intercropping ecosystem. 相似文献

To gain a better understanding of the mechanisms of improvement of iron nutrition of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) intercropped with maize (Zea mays L.) in calcareous soil, both greenhouse and field experiments were conducted to investigate the rhizosphere (phytosiderophores)
effects from maize, barley, oats and wheat with different phytosiderophores release rates on iron nutrition and other micronutrients
in calcareous soil. Six cropping treatments were examined in a greenhouse experiment: peanut grown separately in monoculture,
normal peanut/maize intercropping (two genotypes: Danyu13, Zhongdan12), peanut/barley intercropping, peanut/oats intercropping,
and peanut/wheat intercropping. Additionally, we investigated in a field experiment the same five cropping systems as the
greenhouse experiment (maize/peanut intercropping not including Zhongdan12). Our results show that the chlorophyll and active
Fe concentrations in the young leaves of the peanut in the intercropping system with different gramineous species were much
higher than those of the peanut in monoculture. In greenhouse conditions, the Fe concentration in the shoots of peanut plants
grown in the intercropping systems of two maize genotypes separately were 1.40–1.44, 1.47–1.64 and 1.15–1.42 times higher
respectively than those of peanut plants grown in monocropping at 55, 60 and 70 days. In particular, the Fe concentration
in shoots of peanut plants grown in the intercropping systems of barley, oats and wheat were not only higher than those in
monocropping but also higher than those in peanut intercropped cropping with maize. In the field, the concentration of Fe
in shoot of intercropped peanut plants in rows 1–3 from gramineous species were significantly higher than in monocropping
at the flowering stage. Simultaneously with iron nutrition variation in peanut, Zn and Cu concentrations of intercropped grown
peanut increased significantly compared to those in monocropping in the greenhouse experiment, and different intercropping
treatments generally increased the Zn and Cu content in the shoot of peanut in the field. Systemic mechanisms may be involved
in adaptation to nutrient stresses at the whole plant level. The study suggests that a reasonable intercropping system of
nutrient efficient species should be considered to prevent or mitigate iron and zinc deficiency of plants in agricultural

Many kinds of diterpenoids have been isolated from Rabdosia spp. Some of them have anti-microbial effects, counteract inflammation, and inhibit tumor progression activities. We conducted
the present study in order to look for bioactive compounds in the medicinal plant Rabdosia excisa. In this study, five compounds were isolated from R. excisa; they were oridonin, isokamebakaurin, oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, and β-sitosterol. In order to identify the function of
the extracts, the activity of antibiotics, antioxidation, and immunity test were carried out against these functions. Prospective
results were observed in all of the tested items.

An Arabidopsis thaliana male sterile mutant EC2-157 has been isolated using an EMS mutagenesis strategy. Genetic analysis indicated that it was controlled by a single recessive
gene called ms157. No pollen grains have been observed in mutant anthers. ms157 Has been mapped to a region of 74kb located in BAC clone T6K22 on chromosome IV using a map-based cloning strategy. As no
male sterile genes have been reported in this region, ms157 could be a novel gene related to fertility. The further molecular cloning and functional analysis on this gene should facilitate
our understanding of A. thaliana another development.

Five ethanolic extracts from the mycelia of Ganoderma lucidum, G. tsugae, G. oerstedii, G. subamboinense, and G. resinaceum were respectively studied on their anticancerous activities against leukemic HL-60 cell line in vitro. Results showed that
all five extracts potently inhibited HL-60 proliferation. The extract from G. lucidum mycelia exerted the highest activity. Annexin V/PI bivariate flow cytometric analysis further revealed that the five extracts
significantly induced early apoptosis in HL-60 cells. The results illustrate that not only G. lucidum but also other Ganoderma species can inhibit cancer cells, and their mechanisms are related to induction of apoptosis.

To study the effects of different durations of forward masker sound on neuronal firing and rate-intensity function (RIF) of
mouse inferior collicular (IC) neurons, a tone relative to 5 dB above the minimum threshold (re MT+5 dB) of the best frequency
of recorded neurons was used as forward masker sound under free field stimulation condition. The masker durations used were
40, 60, 80, and 100 ms. Results showed that as masker duration was increased, inhibition in neuronal firing was enhanced (P < 0.000 1, n = 41) and the latency of neurons was lengthened (P<0.01, n = 41). In addition, among 41 inhibited IC neurons, 90.2% (37/41) exhibited narrowed dynamic range (DR) when masker sound
duration was increased (P < 0.000 1), whereas the DR of 9.8%(4/41) became wider. These data suggest that masking effects of different durations of
forward masker sound might be correlated with the amplitude and duration of inhibitory input to IC neurons elicited by the
masker sound.

One type of soil collected from Maoer-shan in Heilongjiang Province, China was selected to induce hyphal growth of Tricholoma matsutake by a soil screening experiment. It was confirmed that hyphal growth of all the tested T. matsutake isolates was significantly stimulated in soil by supplemented with 0.5%∼2.0% olive oil. The aggregation of hyphae and soil
resembled natural Shiro. The biomass of hyphae in the soil increases with increasing olive oil concentrations. Moreover, seedlings
of Pinus densiflora grew well in the soil containing 0.5%∼1.0% olive oil and were also successfully infected by T. matsutake isolate A in the soil containing 1.0% olive oil. This study established a culture system of artificial Shiro formation and
also provided a premise for formulation of culture substratum for fruit body formation of T. matsutake.

Recent collections from six sections in Lanongla area, Tethyan Himalaya allow the establishment of four buchia assemblages. In ascending order, they are Buchia-Buchia spitiensis, Buchia masquensis-Buchia rugasa, Buchia blanfordiana, Buchia piochii and Buchia subokensis assemblages. These Buchia assemblages first demonstrate that not only the Upper Jurassic strata but also the highest Buchia assemblage-Buchia subokensis, which appeared in Lower Cretaceous strata all over the world are present in Lanongla area. This first records the highest
Buchia assemblage in Lanongla area.

桑树根际土壤微生物对间作和施氮的响应 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
利用Biolog-EcoplateTM结合主成分与冗余分析法,研究与苜蓿间作和施氮对桑树根际土壤微生物功能多样性及其与环境因子的影响.结果表明: 与单作无氮相比,单作施氮和间作(无氮和施氮)明显降低桑树根际土壤pH值,显著提高有机质含量、有效氮、含水量和过氧化物酶、脲酶的活性.同时,单作施氮和间作(无氮和施氮)提高了桑树根际土壤微生物的AWCD值、多样性指数和利用碳源比例,且间作施氮增加其提高的程度.主成分分析表明,施氮和间作改变了根际土壤微生物利用碳源强度和种类,其中单作施氮和与间作无氮处理的碳源利用情况相似,但后者对衣康酸和D-葡糖胺酸的利用率(>4%)显著高于前者.冗余分析表明,单作无氮桑树根际土壤微生物多样性与土壤多酚氧化酶活性呈正相关,与土壤含水量呈负相关.单作施氮与间作无氮处理的桑树根际微生物多样性与土壤pH值和含水量呈显著正相关,与土壤氮素营养呈负相关.间作施氮处理的桑树根际微生物多样性与土壤氮素营养呈正相关,而与土壤pH值呈显著负相关. 相似文献

Alkaline phosphatase (AKP), from the succus entericus of silkworm, was purified using 10%–50% ammonium sulfate fractions,
ion exchange chromatography of DEAE-Sepharose, and size exclusion chromatography of Sephacryl S-200. The purification fold
was 464 times and specified activity was 3 936 U/mg. Optimum pH value of the phosphatase was 10.5, and was stable between
pH 7.5 and 11. The optimum temperature of the phosphatase was 40°C and it was unstable over 50°C. K
m value of the phosphatase was 1.25 mmol/L. In a given condition, the phosphatase was selectively modified by PCMB, NBS, PMSF,
TNBS, SUAN, DTT, BrAc, and IAc, the results indicate that PMSF, SUA, BrAc, IAc, and TNBS could obviously inhibit the activity
of the phosphatase, and the degree of inhibition depended on the concentration of these reagents. There was little effect
on the activity of phosphatase after treatment by PMSF, DTT, and NBT. We primarily conclude that mercapto and imidazole are
essential for AKP from silkworm. Also, Lys residue and disulfide bands are necessary to protect the catalysis of the AKP.

AFLP analysis of genetic diversity and relationship among some Chinese domestic ducks and wild ducks

The amplified fragment length polymorphic (AFLP) technique was used to analyze the genome DNA polymorphism among 8 breeds
of domestic ducks and 2 species of wild ducks. Nine of the 17 selected primers pairs gave reproducible polymorphic DNA amplification
bands. The amplified bands ranged from 44 to 83 per primer pair. Of the 513 AFLP markers obtained, 498 were polymorphic. The
proportion of polymorphic loci was 97.1%. The genetic distance (D) and similarity coefficients (GS) were calculated based on the polymorphic data. Between domestic ducks D ranged from 0.331 to 0.589, while between domestic ducks and the wild ducks, it ranged from 0.298 to 0.520 (vs. Anas Platyrhynchos) and from 0.316 to 0.522 (vs. A. Poecilorhyncha), respectively. The variance analysis showed no significant difference between the two groups of data, which indicated that
both mallard and spot-billed ducks made contributions to domestic duck evolution. A dendrogram was constructed according to
the D value.

Chinese Cupressus L. includes five species. The molecular phylogenetic relationship of the Cupressus species and Chamaecyparis L. were determined by comparing 417–479 bp of chloroplast petG-trnP intergenic spacer sequence. In PAUP* analysis, Platycladus orientalis was used as the functional out group. By using the maximum likelihood method 1 077 trees were examined and the result showed
that one tree had a best score of -Ln=2 232.47. The phylogenetic tree clearly showed that Chamaecyparis nootkatensis was diverged from other Chamaecyparis species. Based on the results, together with evidences from other aspects, we consider that Cupressus funebris and Chamaecyparis nootkatensis should be placed in the genus Cupressus. The use of cpDNA intergenic spacer petG-trnP in Cupressus was also discussed.

西北半干旱区紫花苜蓿-小黑麦间作对根际土壤养分和细菌群落的影响 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
我国西北半干旱区土地贫瘠,土壤pH和碳酸盐含量高,容易形成盐碱地,抑制土壤微生物活性,导致土壤养分匮乏。为了改善西北干旱地区土壤健康状况,本研究通过连续3年田间试验,探讨了紫花苜蓿-小黑麦间作对根际土壤养分和根际土壤细菌群落结构的影响。结果表明: 根际土壤中,间作紫花苜蓿有机质含量显著大于单作紫花苜蓿,而pH及速效钾含量显著低于单作紫花苜蓿;间作小黑麦有机质、碱解氮、有效磷及速效钾含量均显著大于单作小黑麦。细菌序列数、种群分类单元(OTU)、丰富度和多样性均表现为间作大于单作。在门水平上,变形菌门和拟杆菌门分别占总分类单元的31.1%~33.4%和22.4%~32.2%,且间作下拟杆菌门比例高于单作。放线菌门数量在单作下显著大于间作,酸杆菌门数量在小黑麦间作下显著大于单作,疣微菌门数量在紫花苜蓿间作下显著大于单作。在属水平上,噬冷菌属、黄杆菌属、Gp6和Chryseolinea数量均表现为单作大于间作,纤维弧菌属相反。相关性分析表明,变形菌门、拟杆菌门与pH呈显著负相关,拟杆菌门与有机质、全氮、碱解氮呈显著正相关;而绿弯菌门、浮霉菌、酸杆菌门、疣微菌门和芽单胞菌门与有机质和碱解氮呈显著负相关。紫花苜蓿-小黑麦间作是改善西北半干旱区土壤的一种有效措施。 相似文献

Acute-phase response is documented to be a significant mechanism of innate immunity in vertebrates and invertebrates. In this
study, proteomic methodologies were applied for different protein expressions in hemolymph of Scylla serrata challenged by Vibrio parahaemolyticus after immunization, and in muscles of the crabs separately challenged by V. parahaemolyticus, V. anguillarum and Aeromonas hydrophila. Up-regulated cryptocyanin is documented in the hemolymph and up-regulated calexcitin, wingless (fragment) and tachykinin-related
peptide in the muscle as acute-phase proteins. All the four altered proteins were responsible for bacterial stress, but cryptocyanin
seemed to be a memory response protein against the challenge by a live bacterium after immunization of the live cells. These
up-regulated proteins can be indicative of an understanding of immunity of a crab.

Foamy viruses (FVs) have broad cellular tropism infecting vertebrates from fish to human being, which indicates that Env protein
has a high capability for membrane fusion. Conservative features in all FV transmembrane (TM) proteins include a region of
hydrophobic domain called membrane-spanning domain (MSD), which contains several stretches of hydrophobic amino acids. To
investigate whether these features were associated with the cytotoxicity effect of TM on Escherichia coli, a series of mutants were constructed and expressed in the E. coli BL21 (DE3) using pET-32a (+) as expressing vector. The results showed that only TM3 without MSD was expressed in E. coli, whereas the other two containing full or part of the MSD (TM1 and TM2) could not be expressed. Furthermore, the bacterial
amount and living bacteria analysis revealed that the cytotoxicity of TM was dependent on its MSD, especially on the stretches
of hydrophobic amino acids. Western blotting analysis showed that TM3 protein was purified with affinity purification.

The Tibetan Eared-pheasant Crossoptilon harmani is a rare species native to China. A captive population has been established in the Beijing Zoo since 1999. In order to determine
the kinship of the offsprings in 2001, randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) was used to examine the parenthood of seven
Tibetan Eared-pheasants in the Beijing Zoo. To amplify the genomic DNA of each individual, 53 arbitrary primers were selected.
The results of amplifications showed that 14 primers had clear and distinct RAPD patterns. Totally, 226 amplified fragments
were generated by RAPD in this study. Cluster analysis of the seven Tibetan Eared-pheasants indicated that all the four young
birds had the same father (No.5 male). This study provides a practical method to determine the relationship of offsprings
whose parents are unknown in birds.

There are five wild populations of Cycas fairylakea in Guangdong Province, China, three of which are newly found. A study of the biological characteristics of C. fairylakea populations showed that this species had a narrow colonization area within 300 hm2, and an island pattern of distribution. Because of the overexploitation, urbanization, environment pollution, plant diseases,
and insect pests, the wild populations and individuals of C. fairylakea decreased markedly in the past decades. All five populations have an opposite pyramid age structure, few coning plants, few
seed production, and low level of seed germination rate or sterility. In conclusion, C. fairylakea in Guangdong Province was threatened seriously and an urgent need to take effective efforts to protect the plants and habitats
in its location sites was required.

Two bacterial strains, Py1 and Py4, have been tamed and isolated through long cultivation with polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon—pyrene
as the single carbon source. It has been proven that they are both highly-efficient pyrene degrading bacteria and both Bacillus sp.. The pyrene degradation ability of separated Py1, Py4 and the consortium of equal Py1 and Py4 was studied in this project.
It is shown that pyrene degradation rates were 88% in 10hr by Py1, 84% in 14hr by Py4, and 88% in 8hr by the consortium. It
was also determined that the best degradation temperatures were 37°C and pH 7.0 respectively. The influence of different nutrient
substrates added in the degradation experiments was also studied. It was shown that sodium salicylate, sodium acetate and
yeast extract had obvious simulative effect, but glucose had no obvious effect.

By inducing and amplifying dendritic cells (DCs) derived from the bone marrow of asthma murine in vitro, cytokines mRNA were
expressed, and the functions of DCs were investigated. Cells isolated from murine bone marrow have been cultured with rmGM-CSF
and rmIL-4, and the expression of cytokines mRNA was determined by ribonuclease protection assay combined with multi-probe
templates. Large numbers of DCs have been obtained from bone marrow, and they expressed interleukin-13 (IL-13), interleukin-9
(IL-9), and interleukin-3 (IL-3) mRNA. Moreover, the level of IL-13 mRNA and IL-9 mRNA expressed by DCs in asthmatic mice
was significantly higher than those in the control groups (P<0.05). But, the level of IL-3 mRNA showed no discrepancy between the two groups (P>0.05). DCs are very important in the forming and developing of asthma, which implies that the therapy targeted at DCs will
possibly become a new goal.
