环境工程微生物学实验是环境工程专业一门重要的专业基础必修课。该课程对专业课的学习具有重要影响。为了保证该课程的教学质量,我们构建了一个新的实验教学体系。该体系包括两部分内容:一是絮凝细菌的分离、筛选、条件优化、应用效果及特征分析;二是污染控制工程中放线菌、霉菌、酵母菌、原生动物及微型后生动物种类与数量分布调查。两部分实验均具有研究性和综合性。第一部分内容分为5个模块。这5个模块具有系统性和连续性,且有一定的挑战性。通过这部分实验,学生可掌握有关细菌的基本实验技术及研究方法。第二部分内容所涉及的是丝状微生物和真核微生物。这部分实验可使学生掌握此类微生物的基本实验技术及其应用方法。该体系内容丰富,与专业结合紧密,大大激发了学生的学习热情。通过该体系,可使学生全面获得环境工程微生物基本实验技能,并有助于提高学生的综合能力,教学效果显著。 相似文献

临床微生物室见习是临床医学专业学生了解微生物检验的重要窗口,提高其见习教学质量,使其认识到微生物检验在感染性疾病诊治中的作用。除了系统介绍临床微生物检验的工作内容及流程外,我们更注重临床医生与微生物检验的密切联系,强调临床医生对微生物检验前质量控制的重要性。案例教学法联合问题导向教学法,将临床感染病例与微生物检验紧密结合。举例讲解临床医生该如何正确解读微生物检验报告结果,从而合理选择抗菌药物进行有效的抗感染治疗。最后提醒临床医学生注意生物安全及医院感染的发生。通过我们的见习教学,临床医学生表示获益颇丰,意识到微生物检验对感染性疾病诊治的重要作用。 相似文献

The application of microfluidics technology to microbiology research is an excellent platform for the analysis of microorganisms and their nucleic acids. This technology combines engineering, physics, chemistry, biology and computing to control the devices. In this perspective we discuss how microfluidics can be applied to microbiological research and used in diagnostic applications. Summary Recent developments in microbiology have led to the construction of mathematical models that can be used reliably to predict the growth and death responses of microorganisms under a wide range of situations relevant to food safety and spoilage. Although the microbiology laboratory paradigm has increasingly changed from manual to automated procedures, and from functional to molecular methods, traditional culture methods remain vital. Using inexpensive desktop fused filament fabrication 3D printing, we designed, produced and tested rapid prototypes of customised labware for microbial culture namely frames to make dip slides, inoculation loops, multi-pin replicators, and multi-well culture plates for solid medium. These customised components were used to plate out samples onto solid media in various formats, and we illustrate how they can be suitable for many microbiological methods such as minimum inhibitory concentration tests, or for directly detecting pathogens from mastitis samples, illustrating the flexibility of rapid-prototyped culture consumable parts for streamlining microbiological methods. We describe the methodology needed for microbiologists to develop their own novel and unique tools, or to fabricate and customise existing consumables. A workflow is presented for designing and 3D printing labware and quickly producing easy-to-sterilise and re-useable plastic parts of great utility in the microbiology laboratory. 相似文献

Polymerase chain reaction denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) fingerprinting was recently introduced into food microbiology. This paper describes the technique and reports on the state-of-the-art application of this technique to food and food-related ecosystems. Applications of PCR-DGGE in several fields of food microbiology are reviewed: the identification of microorganisms isolated from food, the evaluation of microbial diversity during food fermentation, and microbiological and commercial food quality assessment. Potentials and limitations of this culture-independent approach in food microbiology are indicated and future perspectives are discussed. 相似文献
