For efficient alkyl glucoside production from cellooligosaccharides, we constructed a yeast strain for alkyl glucoside synthesis by genetically inducing the display of β-glucosidase 1 (BGL1) from the filamentous fungus Aspergillus aculeatus No. F-50 on the cell surface. The localization of BGL1 on the cell surface was confirmed by immunofluorescence microscopy. The yeast strain displaying BGL1 catalyzed alkyl glucoside synthesis from p-nitrophenyl β-d-glucoside and primary alcohols. The highest yield of alkyl glucoside was 27.3% of the total sugar. The substrate specificities of the BGL1-displaying yeast strain and almond β-glucosidase were compared using different-chain-length cellooligosaccharides. The BGL1-displaying yeast showed efficient alkyl glucoside production from not only glucose but also cellohexaose. This yeast is applicable as a whole-cell biocatalyst for alkyl glucoside production from cellulose hydrolysates.  相似文献

From the polar portion of the methanolic extract of the fruit of anise (Pimpinella anisum L.), which has been used as a spice and medicine since antiquity, four aromatic compound glucosides, an alkyl glucoside and a glucide were isolated together with 24 known compounds. The structures of the new compounds were clarified as (E)-3-hydroxyanethole beta-D-glucopyranoside, (E)-1'-(2-hydroxy-5-methoxyphenyl)propane beta-D-glucopyranoside, 3-hydroxyestragole beta-D-glucopyranoside, methyl syringate 4-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside, hexane-1,5-diol 1-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside and 1-deoxy-L-erythritol 3-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside by spectral investigation.  相似文献

A new iridoid glucoside, hygrophiloside, has been isolated from Hygrophila difformis. Hygrophiloside is apparently identical to the so-called ‘Cardanthera-Pseudoindican’. Its structure has been established by spectroscopic means and by reduction to isoaucubin.  相似文献

Sixteen compounds were isolated from the MeOH extract of leaves of Myoporum bontioides. The five compounds hitherto unknown, were elucidated to be a chlorine-containing iridoid, named myopochlorin, and an iridoid glucoside, an acylated iridoid glucoside, a linear acetogenin glucoside, and an acyclic monoterpene glucoside, named myobontiosides A-D, respectively, by means of spectroscopic analyses.  相似文献

A new phenolic glucoside, acremonoside (1), along with two known compounds, F-11334 A2 and 2,2-dimethyl-2H-chromen-6-ol, were isolated from the sea fan-derived fungus Acremonium polychromum PSU-F125. The structure of 1 was elucidated by spectroscopic techniques, acid hydrolysis and X-ray crystallographic analysis. We have used heterologous probes to investigate the degree of sequence conservation in the plastid genome ofConopholis americana, a totally achlorophyllous angiosperm which exists as a root parasite on red oaks. AlthoughConopholis is completely nonphotosynthetic, it retains a plastid genome in which certain regions, including that which contains the ribosomal RNA genes, are highly conserved. Other regions, including those containing the genes for numerous photosynthesis proteins, are either absent or highly divergent. We also find that the 16S and 23S ribosomal genes of theConopholis plastid are transcribed and processed, implying a potentially functional genetic apparatus. These results are in agreement with findings reported recently for a related root parasite,Epifagus virginiana (de Pamphilis and Palmer, 1990). Furthermore, the plastid genome is maintained in high copy number in fruit tissue, whereas mature seeds have an approximately 10-fold lower copy number.  相似文献

From the aerial part of Teucrium flavum subsp. glaucum a new neo-clerodane diterpenoid, teuflavin, and a new 19-nor-neo-clerodane glucoside, teuflavoside, have been isolated, besides the previously known diterpene teuflin. The structures of teuflavin (19-acetoxy-4α,18:15,16-diepoxy-6β-hydroxy-3-keto-neo-cleroda-13(16),14-diene-20,ξ,12S-hemiacetal) and teuflavoside (18-acetoxy-15,16-epoxy-19-nor-neo-cleroda-4,13(16),14-trien-20,12S-olid-6β-yl-2′-O-acetyl-β-d-glucopyranoside) were established by chemical and spectroscopic means and by correlation with known compounds. Understanding the influence of the DNA sequence on chemical-DNA interactions may provide insight into the processes of chemical carcinogenesis and mutagenesis. This article provides a brief overview of studies and methods devoted to examining the distribution of DNA adducts produced by alkylating agents. Invasive plants often interact with antagonists that include native parasitic plants and pathogenic soil microbes, which may reduce fitness of the invaders. However, to date, most of the studies on the ecological consequences of antagonistic interactions between invasive plants and the resident biota focused only on pairwise interactions. A full understanding of invasion dynamics requires studies that test the effects of multiple antagonists on fitness of invasive plants and co‐occurring native plants. Here, we used an invasive plant Mikania micrantha, a co‐occurring native plant Coix lacryma‐jobi, and a native holoparasitic plant Cuscuta campestris to test whether parasitism on M. micrantha interacts with soil fungi and bacteria to reduce fitness of the invader and promote growth of the co‐occurring native plant. In a factorial setup, M. micrantha and C. lacryma‐jobi were grown together in pots in the presence versus absence of parasitism on M. micrantha by C. campestris and in the presence versus absence of full complements of soil bacteria and fungi. Fungicide and bactericide were used to suppress soil fungi and bacteria, respectively. Findings show that heavy parasitism by C. campestris caused the greatest reduction in M. micrantha biomass when soil fungi and bacteria were suppressed. In contrast, the co‐occurring native plant C. lacryma‐jobi experienced the greatest increase in biomass when grown with heavily parasitized M. micrantha and in the presence of a full complement of soil fungi and bacteria. Taken together, our results suggest that selective parasitism on susceptible invasive plants by native parasitic plants and soil microorganisms may diminish competitive ability of invasive plants and facilitate native plant coexistence with invasive plants.  相似文献

Ultrastructural changes after desiccation and rehydration of the anabiotic fourth-stage juveniles of the plant parasitic nematode Ditylenchus dipsaci (Kuhn) Filipjev are described and quantified. Anabiotic juveniles retain their structural integrity, although the cuticle decreases in thickness and the muscle cell sarcoplasm condenses. In contrast the structure of the non-anabiotic nematode Panagrellus silusae is completely disorganized by desiccation. Following rehydration of D. dipsaci there is a lag phase of 2-3 hr before the nematodes become active. During this period the juveniles undergo an ordered series of morphological changes. The lipid droplets within the intestinal cells coalesce and the cuticle increases in thickness. The muscle cell sarcoplasm expands, the spacing of the thick myofilaments increases and the mitochondria swell before recovering a more normal appearance. These morphological changes, together with earlier metabolic studies, indicate that repair occurs during the lag phase prior to recovery. This may involve membrane repair and the re-establishment of the ionic gradients essential for normal muscle and nerve function.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of polar extract from Juniperus oxycedrus spp. oxycedrus berries leds to the isolation of one new monoterpene glucoside (3R,6E)-3,7 dimethyl 8-hydroxy-6-octenoic acid 8-O-β-d-glucopyranoside along with seven known components, some of them were initially isolated from Juniperus communis L. berries. Their structures were established on the basis of extensive 1D and 2D NMR (1H, 13C, COSY, HMBC, HSQC, ROESY) and ESI-MS studies. The n-butanol fraction and isolated components, shikimic acid (2), compound 3, 4 and 5 were evaluated, in vitro, for their effect on cell viability against human malignant melanoma (A375), breast (MCF-7) and lung (H460) cancer cell lines. Shikimic acid exhibited selective effect on cell viability only against breast MCF-7 cell lines reaching IC50 value at dose of 30 μM and also induced the level decrease of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and five pro-inflammatory cytokines suggesting its potential anti-inflammatory effect.  相似文献

The callus and, for the first time established, shoot cultures of Drosophyllum lusitanicum Link. (Droseraceae) yielded new naphthalene glucoside-5-hydroxy-4-methoxy-2-naphthalenecarboxylic acid 5-O-beta-glucoside (drosophylloside) and 5-hydroxy-4-methoxy-2-naphthalenecarboxylic acid methyl ester besides other phenolics like naphthalenes-5-hydroxy-4-methoxy-2-naphthalenecarboxylic acid (ancistronaphthoic acid B), hydroplumbagin 4-O-glucoside, naphthoquinones-plumbagin and 3-chloroplumbagin, C-glycosylflavones- vitexin, isovitexin, orientin and isoorientin. The pattern of phenolics found supports affinity of Drosophyllum to the families-Droseraceae, Ancistrocladaceae and Dioncophyllaceae.  相似文献
