| Abstract: | Based on conceptual review of desertification, the situations of land desertification in Liaoningprovince were analysed.About 60.7%of the total land area of Liaoning province has been affect-ed by desertification or potential desertmcation. Factors resulting desertification include waterand soil erosion,desertification,salinization, forest and grass land degeneration, etc. Strategiesfor preventing further desertification were also put foeward in the paper. |
