| Abstract: | Xenotransplantation is one of the important medical research fields at present and in future. Transgenic pigs are expected to provide the organs for xenotransplantation. In this article, the possibility of swine as organ donors in xenotransplantation, immune rejection and porcine endogenous retrovirus (PERV) infection are briefly reviewed and discussed. |
