The efficacy of different concentrations of the commercial neem-based insecticide, Nimbicidine® and the ecdysone agonist compound Methoxyfenozide (RH-2485), was evaluated against larvae of Spodoptera littoralis (Boisduval) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae). RH-2485 and Nimbicidine® significantly (p?<?0.001) reduced adult longevity by 2.7 and 1.9 d at the higher concentrations tested, respectively, but no significant differences were observed at low concentration. The tested compounds strongly affected the reproduction of S. littoralis by producing a high percentage of sterility. Fecundity and fertility were significantly affected by both insecticides. No egg laying has been recorded with the higher concentration 0.5% of Nimbicidine® and 0.1?ppm of RH-2485, while no significant (p?>?0.05) difference was noticed on total number of eggs laid by the female when lower concentration 0.0001?ppm of RH-2485 was applied in the same stage as compared to the control. In the second part of this study, the invasion rate of Steinernema feltiae was affected by the addition of both Nimbicidine and RH-2485 to the diet of experimental host. At higher concentration of both compounds, the invasion rate was decreased despite the infection rate, while the percentage of invading nematodes increase to 56.7% with the combination treatment indicating a considerable improvement in the efficacy of S. feltiae nematode applied in combination with the lower concentration of Nimbicidine® over that of nematode alone. On the other hand, the invasion of S. feltiae to the insects that were fed on the diet with the addition of ecdyson compound was strongly decreased with increasing concentration of RH-2485 in host diet.  相似文献

以白背飞虱为研究对象,首次使用保幼激素类似物ZR-515、早熟素和具有蜕皮激素活性的新型化合物RH-2485表面处理飞虱3龄或4龄若虫,来研究探讨激素对飞虱翅型分化的影响。结果表明:ZR-515可诱导短翅型分化,当用10ng/μl的ZR-515处理3龄若虫时,短翅率达到45.6%;而用1μg/μl及100ng/μl的ZR-515对4龄期若虫进行处理时,短翅率则分别达到50%和50.26%。早熟素具有明显的长翅化效应,随着处理浓度的增高,被处理的白背飞虱若虫形成的长翅型成虫数也逐渐增加,且早熟素在3龄期处理对白背飞虱长翅诱导作用强于在4龄期进行的处理,如在3龄期处理时,10μg/μl和100ng/μl的处理组长翅犁成虫比率分别高达100%和86.67%。而RH-2485对翅型分化无明显影响。  相似文献

The influence of non-steroidal ecdysteroid agonists on Indianmeal moth larvae was assessed by rearing last instar larvae on diet treated with RH-5992 (tebufenozide) or RH-2485 (methoxyfenozide). Larvae were monitored for effects of the ecdysteroid agonists on weight, metamorphosis and mortality. Larvae treated with either of the ecdysteroid agonists at a concentration of 5 ppm or higher gained less weight and had greater mortality than did larvae reared on control diet. For example, the weights of control larvae increased approximately 400% by day 2, compared with only a 50% increase in weight when the larvae were treated with 25 ppm of RH-2485 or RH-5992. Similarly, mortality in control larvae was less than 10%, but was as much as 90–100% in larvae reared on diet treated with one of the ecdysteroid agonists. We also examined the effects of simultaneous treatment with a juvenile hormone (JH) mimic, either methoprene or fenoxycarb. The JH mimics prevented adult emergence, and the larvae continued to feed throughout the month-long observation period. However, larvae treated with a juvenile hormone mimic gained weight despite the presence of an ecdysteroid agonist in the diet. On diets treated with 0.1 ppm of RH-2485 or RH-5992, JH-treated larvae gained even more weight than did untreated controls. Interestingly, although the addition of a JH mimic to ecdysteroid-treated diet resulted in increased weight, it did not lead to reduced mortality. In fact, combinations of a JH mimic with 10 ppm RH 2485 or RH 5992 resulted in nearly 100% mortality compared with 40–70% mortality without the JH compounds. These results indicate that JH mimics overcome the inhibitory effects of ecdysteroid agonists on weight gain; however, they also resulted in increased mortality compared with moderate doses of ecdysteroid agonists alone. One specific action of these compounds at the cellular level was noted in that RH 5992 mimicked ecdysteroids by increasing uptake of 14C-GlcNAc in a Plodia interpunctella cell line, while fenoxycarb was inhibitory. 棉铃虫六龄幼虫经非甾醇类蜕皮激素竞争物(RH-2485)饲喂处理后,取部分组织做酶/蛋白检测以及切片光镜观察。变性聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳显示,处理24和48h幼虫的脂肪体和体壁的一种主要蛋白质表达量降低;非变性聚丙烯酰胺凝胶电泳酯酶染色显示,处理48h后血淋巴和中肠有新的酯酶同功酶表达;处理24h幼虫的体壁组织切片出现蜕皮特征(中表皮+内表皮囊泡化、上表皮+外表皮与真皮细胞层分离),以及异常蜕皮(真皮细胞层变薄)。这些结果深化了RH-2485杀虫机制的认识。  相似文献

The development of the Mediterranean corn borer, Sesamia nonagrioides, under long-day (LD) photoperiod is associated with juvenile hormone (JH) decline and pupation in the 5th or 6th larval instar. The larvae grown under short-day (SD) conditions maintain a moderate JH titer and enter diapause during which they undergo several extra larval molts. Both types of larvae exhibit similar levels of juvenile hormone esterase (JHE) activity that increases in each instar during the period of low ecdysteroid titer and drops when the titer rises to a molt-inducing peak. A suppression of JHE activity within 24h after application of an ecdysteroid agonist suggests that the drop of activity is a rapid and possibly direct response to ecdysteroids or their agonist. Esterase inhibitor 3-octylthio-1,1,1-trifluoro-2-propanone (OTFP) suppressed more than 98% of the JHE activity without affecting pupation timing and adult development. The data indicate that JHE is not crucial for the switch between larval development, diapause, and metamorphosis in S. nonagrioides.  相似文献
