Significant adverse correlation of the fetus mass and the degree of its hydration was noted at term in rats with placental insufficiency induced by ligation of about 40% of preplacental vessels on the 16th day of gestation. Disorders revealed in transplacental water-salt metabolism are apparently of some importance for the pathogenesis of fetal growth retardation. Even moderate retardation alters fetal respiratory activity in anoxia, which is associated with the changes in the function of respiratory centres and neuromuscular abnormalities.  相似文献

A variety of studies have been conducted over the past two decades to determine if decreased optic nerve blood flow has a role in the etiology of glaucomatous nerve damage. Five basic methods have been employed in examining blood flow. Invasive studies, utilizing electrodes placed in the optic nerve head, represent one of the first attempts to measure blood flow. More recently, the methodologies have included axoplasmic flow analysis, microspheres, radioactive tracers such as iodoantipyrine, and laser doppler measurements. The results of these studies are inconclusive and frequently contradictory. When the studies are grouped by methodology, only the iodoantipyrine data are consistent. While each of the experimental techniques has limitations, iodoantipyrine appears to have better resolution than either invasive studies or microspheres.  相似文献

Multiple protein kinase activities were isolated from nuclei of rat and hepatoma 3924A, and purified 40- to 140-fold, respectively. Hepatic protein kinase-I exhibited high activity with casein as substrate, but was relatively inactive with either liver and hepatoma chromatin or mixed histone. In contrast, hepatoma protein kinase-I showed equivalent activity with casein and liver chromatin. Protein kinase-IIA, -IIB and-IIC from both tissues were more active with liver chromatin in comparison to casein and hepatoma chromatin, and exhibited similar electrophoretic profiles of 32P-chromatin.  相似文献

Hypoxic preconditioning (HPC) may protect multiple organs from various injuries. We hypothesized that HPC would reduce lung injury in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lobectomy. In a prospective randomized controlled trial, 70 patients undergoing elective thoracoscopic lobectomy were randomly allocated to the HPC group or the control group. Three cycles of 5-min hypoxia and 3-min ventilation applied to the nondependent lung served as the HPC intervention. The primary outcome was the PaO2/FiO2 ratio. Secondary outcomes included postoperative pulmonary complications, pulmonary function, and duration of hospital stay. HPC significantly increased the PaO2/FiO2 ratio compared with the control at 30 min after one-lung ventilation and 7 days after operation. Compared with the control, it also significantly improved postoperative pulmonary function and markedly reduced the postoperative hospital stay duration. No significant differences between groups were observed in the incidence of pulmonary complications or overall postoperative morbidity. HPC improves postoperative oxygenation, enhances the recovery of pulmonary function, and reduces the duration of hospital stay in patients undergoing thoracoscopic lobectomy.
