Gold salts and phenylbutazone selectively inhibit the synthesis of PGF and PGE2 respectively. Lowered production of one prostaglandin species is accompanied by an increased production of the other. Selective inhibition by these drugs was observed in the presence of adrenaline, reduced glutathione and copper sulphate under conditions when most anti-inflammatory compounds inhibited PGE2 and PGF syntheses equally. It is postulated that selective inhibitors may have a different mode of action and beneficial effects may be related to the endogenous ratio of PGE to PGF required for normal function.  相似文献

Neurogenesis in the adult mammalian brain   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
The concept of the CNS cell composition stability has recently undergone significant changes. It was earlier believed that neurogenesis in the mammalian CNS took place only during embryonic and early postnatal development. New approaches make it possible to obtain new results overriding the dogma that neurogenesis is impossible in the adult brain. The present review summarizes the information about the neural stem cell. It has been demonstrated that new neurons are constantly formed in adult mammals, including man. In two brain zones, subventricular zone and denate gyrus, neurogenesis appears proceed throughout the entire life of mammals, including man. The newly arising neurons are essential for some important processes, such as memory and learning. Stem cells were found in the subependymal and/or ependymal layer. They express nestin, and have a low mitotic activity. During embryogenesis, the stem cell divides asymmetrically: one daughter cell resides as the stem cell in the ependymal layer and another migrates to the subventricular zone. There it gives rise very fast to a pool of dividing precursors, from which neural and glial cells differentiate and migrate to the sites of final localization. The epidermal and fibroblast growth factors act as mitogens for the neural stem cell. The neural stem cell gives rise to the cells of all germ layers in vitro and has a wide potential for differentiation in the adult organism. Hence, it can be used as a source of various cell types of the nervous tissue necessary for cellular transplantation therapy.  相似文献

Background

Tnt1 was the first active plant retrotransposon identified in tobacco after nitrate reductase gene disruption. The Tnt1 superfamily comprises elements from Nicotiana (Tnt1 and Tto1) and Lycopersicon (Retrolyc1 and Tlc1) species. The study presented here was conducted to characterise Tnt1-related sequences in 20 wild species of Solanum and five cultivars of Solanum tuberosum.  相似文献

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are resident pluripotent cells of bone marrow stroma. MSC are able to differentiate into chondroblasts, adipocytes, neurons, glia, cardiomyocytes, or osteoblasts. The problem of MSC usage in cell therapy of bone defects is widely discussed at present. The experiments were carried out using rats of inbred line Wistar-Kyoto. MSC were isolated from bone marrow and cultivated in vitro. Demineralized bone matrices (DBM) were obtained from parietal bones of rats and hens. Part of DBM was loaded with MSC. Bone defects were made in cranium parietal regions. DBM with or without MSC or metal plates were transplanted in these regions. It was shown that the application of MSC increased angiogenesis and osteogenesis in the damaged bone. The implantation of rat's DBM with MSC led to the formation of a full value bone. MSC suppressed inflammation, when transplantation of hen's DBM was carried out. The application of MSC always improved bone tissue regeneration.  相似文献

The review thoroughly describes all types of adult stem cells which have been isolated by the present time - hematopoietic, muscle, neural, skin, endothelial, intestinal and mesenchymal stem cells. Their isolation, in vitro cultivation, and possible application in cell therapy of various diseases are discussed. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) are of great concern now because they are, in the authors' opinion, the most promising material for application in the therapy of humans.  相似文献

Neural ganglia of the heart and stomach, paravertebral and spinal ganglia have been studied electron microscopically in 8-10-week-old human embryos. Amateur neurons in the ganglia are at various stages of differentiation and sometimes they are not divided with glia. In the cardiac ganglia the most mature neural elements are defined, comparing to other ganglia studied. It is demonstrated both in the developmental degree of cellular organelles, including those of the granular endoplasmic reticulum, and in manifestation of the glial tunic. Synaptic contacts at the stage of their formation are revealed in the intracardiac and sympathetic (paraventral) neural ganglia.

当细胞外表面CA(简称细胞外CA)具活性时,可催化质膜外HCO_3~-与CO_2的相互转化,为Rubisco(磷酸核酮糖羧化酶)提供一稳定的CO_2流量环境,以维持正常的光合作用。  相似文献
