The history of the genus Trichocnemis LeConte, 1851 (Coleoptera, Cerambycidae, Prioninae) is discussed. Its taxonomic status in relation to the genera Ergates Audinet-Serville, 1832 and Callergates Lameere, 1904 is clarified. The synonymy of Macrotoma californica White, 1853, Macrotoma spiculigera White, 1853, and Trichocnemis spiculatus LeConte, 1851 is confirmed. In the first part of their investigations of the weed seed bank in a 110 ha landscape segment in southern Bavaria, Albrecht & Forster (1996) showed that there was a tremendous spatial variability in seed density as well as in species composition. The intention of the present paper was to elucidate the reasons for this variability. For this purpose, the influence of soil conditions, land use practices, and soil fauna, all of which are environmental factors potentially affecting the weed seed bank, were investigated.Highly significant correlations were observed between the soil seed bank, preceding management variables, and the available field capacity. In contrast, multiple regression analyses between seed banks and the chemical characteristics of the soil, soil fauna, and actual management showed either minor correlation or none at all. Thus, prior management and water supply must be supposed to have had the most decisive influence on the soil seed bank.Several environmental variables affect arable weed populations, not so much through the soil seed bank but through the germination, establishment, and reproduction phases in the field. For this reason the relations between the apparent weed flora and the potential vegetation in the soil also were investigated. The correlation of the soil seed content and the density of individuals on the soil surface was highly significant. The analysis for a single species revealed that the seed bank/field density-ratios of different taxa vary from below 10:1 up to 100:1 and more. This wide range may be related to the life-forms and ecological requirements characteristic for each species.Finally, comparisons of the environmental variables with the soil seed bank and surface vegetation allowed ranking of the variables as to their importance for these two stadia of plant population development. These investigations indicated that the preceding management by different farmers exerted a more decisive influence on the number of seeds in the soil. In contrast, the actual grain yield and N-content in a soil showed a closer relationship to the soil surface vegetation. With regard to the species composition, no distinct differences in the environmental relationships between the soil seed bank and the soil surface vegetation could be observed.  相似文献

After years of efforts to avoid or reduce the impact of infrastructure projects on nature, the principle of ecological compensation has been incorporated in Dutch governmental policy. Ecological compensation aims to recover those ecological functions and natural values that still remain affected after maximum effort has been made to reduce the impact of the intervention (mitigation). The accepted aim of current policy is thus no-net-loss of area and quality by means of mitigative and compensatory measures. As part of the planning process for construction of a stretch of road in The Netherlands, viz., the A50 road link in the province of North Brabant, a Nature Compensation Plan (NCP) was required to be drawn up. This work has recently been completed by the Regional Directorate of Public Works and Water Management, the initiator of the intervention. The NCP, initially presented as a Draft Plan, was drawn up by the Regional Directorate using a preliminary method designed by the Centre of Environmental Science of Leiden University for deriving compensatory measures. After an opportunity for public comment, the Draft Plan was revised to form a Final NCP. This article describes, firstly, the preliminary method for deriving ecological compensatory measures. The method starts by quantifying the effects of habitat loss, habitat disturbance (by changes in noise emissions, in the water table and in outdoor recreational patterns), barrier action and fauna casualties. Following mitigation of impacts on nature, compensation for non-mitigable effects focuses successively on area size, derived from the impacts on breeding birds, and on area quality, derived from the habitat requirements of the vegetation and fauna groups affected by the road. Guidelines for identifying appropriate locations for compensation are also formulated. Secondly, the compensation method is applied to calculate the mitigative and compensatory measures for the A50 trajectory between Eindhoven and Oss. Thirdly, two comparisons are made: the Draft NCP is compared with the results of the preliminary method, and the Draft and the Final NCP are compared with one another in order to identify the role of the interest groups that played a major role in commenting on the Draft Plan. Finally, realization of the compensatory measures and development of the preliminary method itself are discussed. On the basis of the experience with the A50 case study, a more robust compensation method for road projects is to be developed.  相似文献

辽宁省的啮齿动物,过去曾在局部地区进行过调查(伍律等,1958;董谦等,1962;林兰泉等,1965),我站自1961年以来对全省作了较为全面的调查工作。关于啮齿动物的地理区划问题,肖增祜等(1978)曾作过区划拟议,将辽宁省初步划分为三个动物地理省(辽东山地丘陵省、辽西山地丘陵省、辽河平原省)。本文根据1958—1981年全省啮齿动物的调查资料,将辽宁省划分为五个啮齿动物地理省,现作如下叙述和讨论。  相似文献

The geologic section of the Torrente Scrivia in 061 the vicinity of Rigoroso is generally reported as an conformable sequence in Oligocene and Miocene strata.In fact, it has suffered important reworkingsduring Lower Miocene and this event is not only evident in sedimentology but also in paleontology. 1988—1989年在我国西南武陵山地区对乌江、清江、澧水及沅江四大水系进行了资源考察。共采集到标本53种,隶属2纲12科27属,其中腹足纲41种,瓣鳃纲12种,内有7个新种(另外发表)。淡水软体动物的区系组成以东洋界种类占优势,有29种,占总数的54.8%;种类组成以沅江水系最多,有44种,其中22种仅采于沅江。田螺属(Viviparus Montfort,1810)的种类首次在东洋界境内被发现。文章对淡水软体动物的资源作了评价,并对寄生虫媒介贝类进行了叙述。  相似文献

Abstract A number of sediment incubations were set up to reproduce some of the conditions used by Kristensen and Blackburn [1] and to make a comparison with their results. There were three types of microcosm: aerobic (OX), anaerobic (AN) and aerobic with Nephtys (NOX). In addition to other measurements, dissolved organic nitrogen (DON) pools and fluxes, were measured. The sediment in this experiment contained more particulate organic matter (POM). Nephtys (NOX) had the same effect as Nereis in increasing the rate of mineralization of POC and PON, compared with the OX-cores (2.1 and 2.6 times, respectively). Again, the AN-cores had a higher mineralization rate (loss of POM) than that of the OX-cores, but in addition, mineralization in NOX-cores was not significantly different from AN-cores. It was thus confirmed that anoxic mineralization could be as high, or higher, than the oxic process. Both the temporal patterns of O2-and and CO2-fluxes and their magnitudes were very similar to those reported earlier. This contrasts with the higher loss of POM in the present experiment. However, the loss of C in DOC (associated with the measured DON) can account for the extra POM loss. The pore-water profiles of σCO2 and NH4+ were similar to those in the earlier report, and the fluxes of σCO2, O2, NH4+ and NO3 followed the same temporal pattern.  相似文献

云南与川、黔、贵等邻近省区都属于东南亚的一部分。依据爬行动物分布范围广的特点,把云南爬行动物区系起源和演化与东南亚甚至南亚的爬行动物作为一个整体进行研究,可能为解决东南亚及云南爬行动物某些类群的起源这一共同性问题,提供一些有用的资料。 本文将印度半岛、东南亚及其邻近岛屿现生爬行动物与世界范围的相同科级阶元的分布进行比较,并以古地质、古地理演变资料推论科级阶元同祖先起源地的大致范围。在此基础上,再将印度半岛、中南半岛和邻近岛屿,云南高原及邻近地区爬行动物的科属种进行比较,以探讨地区间差异的规律性。运用新构造运动和古气候变化观点阐明其物种或类群的迁移规律及其变化原因。  相似文献
