中药马蓝叶及其混乱品的比较鉴别

马蓝叶是加工传统中药青黛的主要原料。为了确保药材质量,作者对中药马蓝叶及其混乱品种球花马蓝、疏花马蓝、广西马蓝的原植物、药材性状、叶组织显微特征和薄层层析鉴别等进行了研究。指出其混乱品种虽与马蓝叶是同属植物,但不含马蓝叶的有效成分靛玉红,应仔细鉴别,不宜混用。     

9-Hydroxydodecanoic acid,an acid from Blepharis sindica seed oil

A hitherto unknown hydroxy acid has been isolated from Blepharis sindica seed oil has been characterized as 9-hydroxydodecanoic acid by IR, NMR and mass spectral studies. The structure of this acid was further supported by its chemical transformations.

Leaf architecture of some acanthaceae

Leaf architectural pattern has been studied in 27 genera and 35 species of the Acanthaceae. The major venation pattern conforms to pinnate camptodromous with eucamptodromous or festooned brochidodromous secondaries, pinnate craspedodromous inAcanthus ilicifolius and acrodromous inLepidagathis trinervis. Intersecondary veins are common. The marginal ultimate venation is looped. The areoles are variable in size. The vein endings are usually simple, linear or cuved or divide once or twice dichotomously. Isolated vein endings, tracheids, isolated free vein endings and extension cells are observed. Transfusion tracheids are seen inDicliptera verticillata. Miniature vessel elements with simple perforation plates are noticed lying free in the areole or at the end of tracheids inSeriocalyx scaber andThunbergia grandiflora.Elytraria acaulis, Nelsonia canescens andStaurogynae zeylanica exhibit venation pattern shown by majority of the taxa studied, of the Acanthaceae.     

New furofurano lignans from Justicia simplex

A new 3,7-dioxabicyclo[3,3,O]octane lignan, named justisolin, and a new lignan O-glucoside, named simplexoside, were isolated from the whole plant of Justicia simplex D. Don. (Acanthaceae), collected at fruiting. The structure of the free lignan was established as 2e-(3,4-methylenedioxy-6-hydroxy)-phenyl-6e- Piperonyl-3,7-dioxabicyclo[3,3,0]octane (1) and that of the glucoside as 2e-(3-methoxy-4-O-β-d- glucopyranosyl)-phenyl-6e-piperonyl-3,7-dioxabicyclo[3,3,0]octane (2) on the basis of chemical transformation and spectral evidence. The biological functions of these and related lignans are appraised.     

Pollen morphology of Justicia L. (Acanthaceae) from Thailand and its taxonomic value

The acetolysed pollen of 33 species of the genus Justicia in Thailand is investigated using both light and scanning electron microscopy. The pollen of the genus is characterised as being isopolar, bilaterally or radially symmetrical, with mostly prolate or prolate spheroidal shape. Based on characters with high factor loading in the cluster analysis and principal components analysis, the studied species are divided into two major groups; one with 3-colporate with six pseudocolpi and the other with 2-porate or 2–3-colporate with aperture areas. The pollen morphology of each group is described and illustrated. Pollen characters are useful for taxonomic delimitation and relationships among Thai species.     

Blepharis saudensis (Acanthaceae), a new species from Saudi Arabia

Blepharis saudensis, from small islands in the Red Sea of Jazan Provence, Saudi Arabia, is described as a new species and illustrated. This species differs from other known species in this genus by having a combination of long stems, oblong-lanceolate to linear leaves with entire margins and pubescence.     

Flavonoids and andrographolides from Andrographis paniculata

Two flavonoids, identified as 5,7,2',3'-tetramethoxyflavanone and 5-hydroxy-7,2',3'-trimethoxyflavone, as well as several other flavonoids, andrographolide diterpenoids, and polyphenols, were obtained from the phytochemical investigation of the whole plant of Andrographis paniculata, a well known medicinal plant. The structures of these compounds were established with the aid of spectroscopic methods, including analysis by 2D NMR spectroscopy.     

Glycosides from Dicliptera riparia

The dimeric monoterpenoid glycoside, dicliripariside A, and two flavonoid glycosides, dicliriparisides B and C, together with six known compounds, beta-sitosterol, 2,5-dimethoxy-p-benzoquinone, vanillic acid, daucosterol, lugrandoside and poliumonside, were isolated from the aqueous ethanol extract of the whole plants of Dicliptera riparia Nees. Their structures were determined based on analyses of spectroscopic data.
