Despite its proven agronomic value, the plant disease suppressive effect of composts from olive waste has not been adequately investigated. In the present study, the disease suppressive potential of two olive waste (OW) composts against soil-borne plant pathogens was investigated. Both OW composts showed sizeable, active microbial populations, which were able to grow actively on chitin and cellulose. In plate inhibition trials, OW compost water extracts (CWEs) exerted a significant inhibitory effect on the growth of the pathogens Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. lycopersici (Fol), Pythium ultimum, Phytophtora infestans, Sclerotina sclerotiorum and Verticillium dahliae; and in pot experiments, the OW composts significantly reduced P. ultimum damping-off and Fol wilt diseases on tomato seedlings. The disease suppressive effect of OW composts seems to be due to the combined effects of suppression phenomena caused by the presence of microorganisms competing for both nutrients and space as well as by the activity of specific antagonistic microorganisms.  相似文献

The effect of intra-gastric infusion of skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) muscle soluble extract and of carnosine, anserine and histidine, on pepsin-like protease activity was studied in the isolated, externally batch-cultured stomach of the rockfish (Sebastes schlegelii). Stomach was isolated from the fish, then intragastrically infused with the above solutions or with a balanced saline solution (control solution) as the stimulant at 0.1 mL/min for 6h. Intra-gastric efflux was collected for measurement of pepsin-like protease activity. Skipjack tuna soluble extract, but not carnosine, anserine or histidine alone caused significant enhancement of pepsin-like protease activity during the infusion. Pepsin-like protease activity from skipjack tuna soluble extract responded immediately after infusion and was kept for 150 min after infusion. Stomach motility at the end of infusion was also observed. These results suggest that isolated stomach can receive mucosal side stimulants in vitro. It is likely that some effective components for stomach digestion in fish exist in skipjack tuna soluble extract.  相似文献

Aims: To optimize the medium components for the production of indole‐3‐acetic acid (IAA) by isolated bacterium Pantoea agglomerans strain PVM. Methods and Results: Present study deals with the production of an essential plant hormone IAA by a bacterial isolate P. agglomerans strain PVM identified by 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. The medium containing 8 g l?1 of meat extract and 1 g l?1 of l ‐tryptophan (precursor) at optimum pH 7, 30°C and 48‐h incubation gave the maximum production of IAA (2·191 g l?1). Effect of IAA synthesized on in vitro root induction in Nicotiana tobacum (leaf) explants was compared with that of control. IAA was characterized by high‐performance thin‐layer chromatography, high‐performance liquid chromatography and gas chromatography–mass spectroscopy. Conclusions: Pantoea agglomerans strain PVM was a good candidate for the inexpensive and utmost production of IAA in short period, as it requires simple medium (meat extract and l ‐tryptophan). Significance and Impact of the Study: The present report first time showed the rapid, cost‐effective and maximum production of IAA. No reports are available on the optimization of particular medium components for the production of IAA. This study demonstrates a novel approach for in vitro root induction in N. tobacum (leaf) explants.  相似文献

Endothelial cell migration is essential for tumor angiogenesis, and interleukin-8 (IL-8) has been shown to play an important role in tumor growth, angiogenesis, and metastasis. This study aimed to investigate the molecular mechanism of IL-8 induced endothelial cell migration. Our results indicated that IL-8 induced a rapid rearrangement of the actin cytoskeleton in EA.Hy926 cells, generating extensions resembling membrane ruffling and stress fibers. These processes required parallel upregulation of the small GTPases Rac1 and RhoA. Moreover, we demonstrated that IL-8 activated PI3K following the same kinetics observed from IL-8 induction of cytoskeletal rearrangement, suggesting the participation of PI3K in these processes. Taken together, our study demonstrates that PI3K-Rac1/RhoA signaling pathway plays a vital role in IL-8 induced endothelial cell migration, and provides new insight into the molecular mechanisms by which IL-8 contributes to tumor angiogenesis and metastasis.  相似文献

目的:探讨原发性十二指肠恶性肿瘤的临床特点、诊断方法和预后影响因素。方法:回顾性分析随访资料完整的45例原发性十二指肠恶性肿瘤患者的临床病理资料。结果:腺癌33例(73.3%)为主要的病理类型。主要临床表现为腹痛、上腹部不适、黄疸、消化道出血等。胃十二指肠镜、内镜逆行胰胆管造影(Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio—Pancreatography,ERCP)、十二指肠低张造影、超声内镜、CT及B超确诊率分别为91.1%(41/45),93.3%(42/45),82.2%(37/45),75.6%(34N5),68.9%(31/45)及26.7%(12/45)。本组45例均行开腹手术,包括根治性手术,胰十二指肠切除术36例;姑息性手术,胃肠吻合术2例、肿瘤局部切除术5例、短路手术2例。根治术和姑息术后5年生存率分别为46.7%和4.4%,两组生存率差异有统计学意义(P〈O.05)。对全组45例患者的预后因素进行Cox回归分析的结果显示,手术方式、肿瘤浸润深度和淋巴节转移是影响预后的独立危险因素(均P〈0.05)。结论:原发性十二指肠恶性肿瘤缺乏特异性临床表现;胃十二指肠镜、ERCP以及十二指肠低张造影等联合检查可提高诊断率;根治性手术远期疗效较好;淋巴结转移和局部侵犯是肿瘤预后不良的重要影响因素。  相似文献

胃肠道间质瘤(gastrointestinal stromal tumors,GISTs)是消化道常见的间叶肿瘤,不同于消化道真正的平滑肌瘤、神经源性肿瘤,其发生主要与Kit基因和血小板衍生生长因子受体α(platelet-derived growth factor receptor alpha,PDGFRα)基因突变有关。KIT靶点的发现使得胃肠道间质瘤治疗进入新治疗模式。伊马替尼与舒尼替尼,均为酪氨酸激酶抑制剂,分别被批准为进展期GISTs治疗的第一线及第二线靶向治疗药物。本文就GISTs的分子生物学分型以及分子靶向药物治疗进展作一概述。  相似文献

目的:探讨肿瘤标志物癌胚抗原(CEA)、糖链抗原19-9(CA19-9)、糖链抗原15-3(CA15-3)联合检测在乳腺癌早期诊断中的应用价值。方法:检测87例乳腺癌患者,55例乳腺良性肿瘤患者和35例健康人血清中CEA、CA19-9、CA153等肿瘤标志物的水平及3种标志物不同组合对乳腺癌的阳性检出率。结果:乳腺癌患者3种肿瘤标志物显著高于正常对照组及乳腺良性肿瘤组(P〈0.01)。3项标志物不同组合对不同分期乳腺癌检出的敏感性均高于单项标志物。其中CEA+CA199+CA153组合的检出敏感性较其他组合均高,特别是对早期患者检出率明显提高。结论:CEA+CA199+CA153联合检测能提高乳腺癌的早期诊断率。  相似文献

目的:探讨前列腺增生患者年龄,前列腺体积以及BMI与血清前列腺特异性抗原(PSA)之间的关系。方法:对224例前列腺增生患者的年龄,前列腺体积以BMI与PSA的相关性进行Spearman相关性分析。结果:224例前列腺增生患者有25%的患者PSA水平高于正常,并且年龄,前列腺体积与血清PSA存在明显的正相关:(r=0.672.P〈0.01,r=0.785.P〈0.01),而血清PSA与BMI指数存在明显的负相关:(r=-0.873,P〈0.01)。结论:前列腺增生患者的血清PSA值随患者年龄增长和体积增大而增加,对于PSA轻度升高的前列腺增生患者,要考率到体重因素对结果的影响。  相似文献

目的:探讨重组干扰质粒pshRNA-COX-2对人肝癌细胞Hep3B裸鼠皮下移植瘤生长和肿瘤血管生成的抑制作用。方法:重组干扰质粒pshRNA-COX-2转染Hep3B细胞并筛选后,RT-PCR和Western blot检测COX-2mRNA和蛋白表达,RT-PCR检测VEGFmRNA表达。将被成功转染的Hep3B细胞种植于裸鼠皮下,测量肿瘤大小,4周后处死裸鼠,免疫组织化学法检测肿瘤组织中COX-2蛋白表达和肿瘤微血管密度(MVD)。结果:与未转染细胞相比,干扰组COX-2mRNA和蛋白表达抑制率分别为65.3%和52.8%(P<0.05),干扰组VEGFmRNA表达抑制率为56.5%(P<0.05)。干扰组瘤体大小明显小于阴性组和空白组(P<0.01)。干扰组COX-2得分和MVD均明显低于阴性组和空白组(P<0.01)。结论:pshRNA-COX-2通过抑制COX-2表达明显抑制人肝癌细胞Hep3B裸鼠皮下移植瘤生长和肿瘤血管生成。  相似文献
