取球花石楠的不同器官、不同部位的材料进行离体培养及快速繁殖研究。试验结果表明,根部萌蘖条和盆栽大苗的嫩茎为首选外植体,在MS+6-BA 2 mg·L-1+NAA 0.5 mg·L-1的培养基上有较高的腋芽萌发率,增殖阶段以MS+6-BA 4 mg·L-1+NAA 0.1 mg·L-1培养基上的小苗最多,生长健壮,生根可在1/2 MS+IBA 0.25 mg·L-1的培养基上进行。分析了生根较低的原因并提出改进措施。  相似文献

The role of habitat-forming species in promoting biodiversity is widely acknowledged to vary across environmental gradients according to the extent to which they modify resources and environmental conditions. Population- and individual-level traits of habitat-forming species that influence species interactions may vary across gradients, but the importance of this indirect effect of environmental context is seldom considered. Here, we conducted surveys and field experiments to partition the effects of wave exposure on habitat-provisioning for invertebrates by oysters into direct and indirect effects, arising from morphological variation of the oysters. A survey of nine sites with varying degrees of wave exposure in Port Jackson, Australia revealed a decline in oyster densities and surface area as wave energy increased. Correlated to declining oyster surface area was a decrease in the richness and abundance of associated invertebrates. By contrast, taxon diversity increased with increasing wave energy. Experimental deployments of oysters at high and low wave energy sites confirmed that variations in oyster morphology was a phenotypically plastic response to environmental conditions. Oyster recruitment was also lower at high as compared to low wave energy sites, further contributing to the variation in oyster habitat among sites. A colonisation experiment in which exposed and sheltered morphologies of oysters were deployed under high and low wave energy conditions in a fully orthogonal design found that invertebrate communities were influenced by both the wave energy of sites and by habitat structure. Our study suggests that in some instances the indirect effects of environment on habitat availability, arising from changes in habitat-forming species density and morphology, may be as, or even more, important than the direct effects. Understanding how traits of habitat-forming species respond to environmental conditions, and how intraspecific trait-variation cascades to influence associated communities is critical to predicting when and where positive species interactions will be greatest.  相似文献

Orbicule characteristics of Dactylis glomerata and Cynosurus echinatus (Poaceae) were investigated using light (LM), scanning electron (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Based on SEM micrographs, the number of orbicules per 100?µm2 of the locule wall surface was determined in both dehisced and undehisced anthers and was further compared statistically. A total of 100 pollen grains were examined using SEM in search for orbicules attached to the pollen exine. Orbicules were not found distributed freely in the anther locules. They were attached to the locule wall surface through sporopolleninous fibrils, the orbicule wall being firmly embedded in, and often in continuity with the thin layer of sporopollenin lining each locule. The orbicule density on the locule wall surface of both the dehisced and undehisced anthers did not differ significantly. Only a few orbicules were seen attached to the pollen exine in both species. It is concluded that orbicules are not easily removed from the surface of the locule wall and, consequently, that the number of orbicules emitted from the two grass species is too low to play a significant role in triggering allergic diseases.  相似文献

Epichloë spp. are endophytes of grasses, and form epiphytic external stromata on flowering tillers. E. typhina was first noticed infecting Dactylis glomerata (= orchardgrass, cocksfoot) stands in the Willamette Valley in 1996, and soon became the primary factor limiting the longevity of seed production fields. Several species of slugs are present in these fields, and we investigated their role in E. typhina biology. Pre‐dawn surveys of D. glomerata fields in 2009 and 2010 found Prophysaon andersoni and Arion subfuscus slugs feeding on the fungal stromata. When unfertilised and fertilised immature stromata predominated, approximately 80% of the individuals of these two species that were seen on plants were found on the stromata. As the majority of stromata reached maturity the presence of these species on stromata declined to between 20–40%. The common agricultural slug pest, Deroceras reticulatum, was on stromata only 20% of the time early in the season, and declined to <5% at stromata maturity. Observations of frass from slugs determined that the most common constituent was the food sources upon which the slug species was usually found during these surveys. Typically 100% of the frass from P. andersoni and A. subfuscus contained stroma material, compared to 25% for D. reticulatum. Spermatia, and ascospores later in the season, were commonly seen in the frass of slugs that consumed stromata. Some slugs that had no stroma material in their frass appeared to have consumed spermatia and ascospores from the leaf surface. A multiple‐choice laboratory test confirmed the different proportional preferences of P. andersoni and D. reticulatum for stroma (0.72 vs 0.20) and leaf (0.07 vs 0.38), respectively. Two laboratory multiple‐choice tests, and a field survey, found that P. andersoni preferred unfertilised and immature stroma over mature stroma. D. reticulatum is the most common and abundant slug in Willamette Valley grass seed fields, yet it is the least likely to move spermatia between unfertilised stromata, or ascospores to uninfected plants. P. andersoni and A. subfuscus are mycophagous, frequently transport viable spermatia and ascospores in their frass; yet they are generally confined to field edges. Data and observations suggest the role of slugs in the epidemiology of E. typhina is small compared to other factors.  相似文献

以不同耐旱型鸭茅品种(系)“01998”(敏感型)和“宝兴”(耐旱型)为试材,采用盆栽控水试验方法,研究土壤干旱胁迫对鸭茅幼苗根系生长、生理特性及叶片光合作用的影响,探讨不同品种耐旱机制的差异.结果表明:干旱胁迫下,不同耐旱型鸭茅幼苗的根系活力和根系数量均呈先上升后下降的趋势,当土壤相对含水量降到30%时,根系活力和根数显著增加并达到最大值;干旱胁迫降低了两个品种鸭茅叶片的相对含水量、叶绿素含量、净光合速率、叶片蒸腾速率、气孔导度,提高了电导率和胞间CO2浓度.干旱胁迫降低了两个品种鸭茅的单株叶面积,品种“01998”的地下及地上生物量下降,而“宝兴”无显著变化.  相似文献

Morphological and cytological characters were analysed among thirty populations of the genus Dactylis L. from Algeria, to understand its infraspecific diversity. Principal Component Analysis using quantitative characters allowed discriminating the tetraploid populations into two subspecies, marina (Borrill) Greuter, localised on sea cliffs, and hispanica (Roth) Nyman, very widespread. Some individuals of these latest populations formed a distinct group, identified as subsp. glomerata Hayek. Three diploid taxa are described in the literature: subspecies santai Stebbins & Zohary, castellata Parker & Borrill and mairei Stebbins & Zohary that are considered as prevalent in Algeria, distributed in Tellian Atlas, in forest ecosystems within mesophytic habitats. Canonical Discriminant Analysis on natural populations and on experimental cultures showed two main groups: the first group corresponds to subspecies mairei, with a narrow distribution; the second one exhibits a wide morphological variability and belongs to santai type. Based on this study, a key to aid in identification of the subspecies is presented.  相似文献

Embryogenic cultures of Dactylis glomerata L. were subjected to NaCl stress by culturing for 4 passages in Schenk and Hildebrandt (SH) medium containing 30 μM dicamba and 200 mM NaCl. Ultrastructural studies indicated invaginations and disruptions of the plasma membrane. Membrane-bound vesicles were observed in the cytoplasm of NaCl treated cells and their occurrence were increased with the culture age.  相似文献

The widely distributed temperate grassland species Dactylis glomerata was grown in competition with Ranunculus acris at two different watering regimes and exposed for 20 weeks to eight ozone treatments with mean concentrations ranging from 16.2 to 89.5 ppb, representing pre‐industrial to predicted post‐2100 ozone climates. Measurements of stomatal conductance were used to parameterize ozone flux models for D. glomerata. For the first time, a modification was made to the standard flux model to account for the observed decrease in sensitivity of stomatal conductance to reduced water availability with increasing ozone. Comparison of calculated cumulative ozone flux between the two versions of the model demonstrated that exclusion of the ozone effect on stomatal conductance in the standard flux model led to a large underestimation of ozone fluxes at mid‐ to high‐ozone concentrations. For example, at a mean ozone concentration of 55 ppb (as predicted for many temperate areas in the next few decades), the standard flux model underestimated ozone fluxes in D. glomerata by 30–40% under reduced water availability. Although the modified flux model does not markedly change the flux‐based critical level for D. glomerata, this study indicates that use of the standard flux model to quantify the risk of ozone damage to a widely distributed grassland species such as D. glomerata in areas where high ozone concentrations and reduced soil moisture coincide could lead to an underestimation of effects. Thus, this study has shown that under predicted future climate change and ozone scenarios, ozone effects on vegetation may be even greater than previously predicted in the drier areas of the world.  相似文献

Most studies on plant defenses against insect herbivores investigate direct and indirect plant defenses independently. However, these defenses are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Plant metabolites can be transmitted through the food chain and can also affect the herbivore's natural enemies. A conflict may arise when a natural enemy is attracted to a plant that is suboptimal in terms of its own fitness. In addition, plant defenses are often studied in cultivated plant species in which artificial selection may have resulted in reduced resistance against insect herbivores. In this study, we investigated both direct and indirect plant defenses in two closely related wild brassicaceous plant species, Brassica nigra L. and Sinapis arvensis L. The herbivore Pieris brassicae L. (Lepidoptera: Pieridae), which is specialized on brassicaceous plant species, developed faster and attained higher pupal mass when reared on B. nigra than on S. arvensis. In contrast, Cotesia glomerata L. (Hymenoptera: Braconidae), which is a gregarious endoparasitoid of P. brassicae caterpillars, developed equally well on P. brassicae irrespective of the food plant on which its host had been reared. The feeding strategy of the parasitoid larvae, that is, selectively feeding on hemolymph and fat body, is likely to allow for a much wider host‐size range without affecting the size or development time of the emerging parasitoids. In flight chamber experiments, C. glomerata, which had an oviposition experience in a host that fed on Brussels sprout, exhibited significant preference for host‐damaged B. nigra over host‐damaged S. arvensis plants. Headspace analysis revealed quantitative and qualitative differences in volatile emissions between the two plant species. This parasitoid species may use a range of cues associated with the host and the host's food plant in order to recognize the different plant species on which the host can feed. These results show that there is no conflict between direct and indirect plant defenses for this plant–host–parasitoid complex.  相似文献

Three different concentrations (1, 10 and 50 μg/ml) of lyophilized hydroalcoholic crude extract of Pfaffia glomerata roots were assayed in vitro against strains of Trypanosoma cruzi (Y) and Leishmania braziliensis. It was observed that P. glomerata hydroalcoholic extract was relatively active within the tested concentrations for L. (V.) braziliensis, but inactive against T. cruzi. Despite the fact that both protozoans belong to the Trypanosomatidae family, we suggest that the difference observed for activity should be related to the biological differences between the two parasite species.  相似文献
