城市绿地生态系统是城市景观的重要组成部分,具有重要的生态与文化价值。鸟类是城市绿地生态系统的指示类群,研究人类活动对鸟类资源的影响能够为城市生态景观的建设与维护提供重要理论依据。本研究于2021年10月至2022年5月,采用样线法对武汉市不同干扰强度的城市绿地内林鸟群落进行调查。共记录到鸟类11目34科100种,其中国家二级重点保护鸟类9种,在物种组成上以雀形目为主(76种,占调查到总鸟种数的76%),在居留型上以留鸟为主(42种,42%),在区系上主要属于东洋界(45种,45%)。繁殖季鸟类物种数高于非繁殖季,主要是由于夏候鸟和旅鸟的增加导致。在不同干扰强度中,重度干扰斑块的平均鸟类个体数最多,轻度干扰斑块的鸟类物种丰富度、多样性指数和均匀度指数最高,而中度干扰斑块的鸟类个体数、物种丰富度、多样性指数和均匀度指数均为最低,且繁殖季和非繁殖季鸟类群落结构在不同人为干扰强度中的格局未发生变化。综上所述,武汉市城市绿地的鸟类多样性较为丰富,随着干扰强度增加,鸟类多样性出现非线性差异,揭示了人为干扰与自然干扰对生态影响的差异;在面积狭小、破碎化严重的斑块中,人为干扰可能有利于城市绿地鸟类多样性的维持。 相似文献

The binary classification of landscapes into suitable vs. unsuitable areas underlies several prominent theories in conservation biogeography. However, a binary classification is not always appropriate. The textural discontinuity hypothesis provides an alternative theoretical framework to examine the geographical distribution of species, and does not rely on a binary classification scheme. The texture of a given landscape is the combination of its vertical structural complexity and horizontal spatial grain. The textural discontinuity hypothesis states that biophysical features in the environment are scaled in a discontinuous way, and that discontinuities in the body size distribution of animals mirror these biophysical discontinuities. As a result of this relationship, a complex landscape texture should be associated with small‐bodied animals, whereas a simple landscape texture should be associated with larger‐bodied animals. We examined this hypothesis for birds in five landscapes in south‐eastern Australia that represented a gradient from simple to complex landscape texture. In landscapes with a complex texture, the number of detections of small birds was higher than expected, and the number of detections of larger‐bodied birds was lower than expected. The opposite pattern was found in landscapes with a simple texture. The pattern remained significant when only bird species found in each of the five landscapes were considered, which demonstrated that the association of landscape texture with body size was not an artefact of landscapes differing in their species pools. Understanding the effects of landscape texture on species distribution patterns may be a promising research frontier for conservation biogeography. We hypothesize that the active management of landscape texture may be used to attract or deter animals of certain body sizes. Consistent with other theories, the textural discontinuity hypothesis therefore suggests that managing entire landscapes, rather than only predefined patches, is an important conservation strategy. 相似文献

An accurately resolved gene tree may not be congruent with the species tree because of lineage sorting of ancestral polymorphisms. DNA sequences from the mitochondrially encoded genes (mtDNA) are attractive sources of characters for estimating the phylogenies of recently evolved taxa because mtDNA evolves rapidly, but its utility is limited because the mitochondrial genes are inherited as a single linkage group (haplotype) and provide only one independent estimate of the species tree. In contrast, a set of nuclear genes can be selected from distinct chromosomes, such that each gene tree provides an independent estimate of the species tree. Another aspect of the gene-tree versus species-tree problem, however, favors the use of mtDNA for inferring species trees. For a three-species segment of a phylogeny, the branching order of a gene tree will correspond to that of the species tree if coalescence of the alleles or haplotypes occurred in the internode between the first and second bifurcation. From neutral theory, it is apparent that the probability of coalescence increases as effective population size decreases. Because the mitochondrial genome is maternally inherited and effectively haploid, its effective population size is one-fourth that of a nuclear-autosomal gene. Thus, the mitochondrial-haplotype tree has a substantially higher probability of accurately tracking a short internode than does a nuclear-autosomal-gene tree. When an internode is sufficiently long that the probability that the mitochondrial-haplotype tree will be congruent with the species tree is 0.95, the probability that a nuclear-autosomalgene tree will be congruent is only 0.62. If each of k independently sampled nuclear-gene trees has a probability of congruence with the species tree of 0.62, then a sample of 16 such trees would be required to be as confident of the inference based on the mitochondrial-haplotype tree. A survey of mtDNA-haplotype diversity in 34 species of birds indicates that coalescence is generally very recent, which suggests that coalescence times are typically much shorter than internodal branch lengths of the species tree, and that sorting of mtDNA lineages is not likely to confound the species tree. Hybridization resulting in transfer of mtDNA haplotypes among branches could also result in a haplotype tree that is incongruent with the species tree; if undetected, this could confound the species tree. However, hybridization is usually easy to detect and should be incorporated in the historical narrative of the group, because reticulation, as well as cladistic events, contributed to the evolution of the group. 相似文献

Summary Tissue capillarity and diffusion distances were determined for red and white skeletal muscles of adult birds ranging in mass from 10.8 to 6200 g. In addition, literature values for capillarity and diffusion distances in skeletal muscles of mammals were incorporated into the data set. Muscle mass was closely coupled to body mass. However, no significant allometric relations were found for any of the other variables measured. Number of capillaries per fiber was not correlated with cross sectional area of individual muscle fibers. Thus, capillary density decreased in a hyperbolic manner against fiber area and diffusion distance decreased in a hyperbolic manner against the number of capillaries per muscle fiber. Red muscles had significantly higher numbers of capillaries per fiber and significantly shorter diffusion distances than did white muscles. The patterns for tissue capillarity and diffusion distances in avian muscle reported here are similar to values reported previously for mammalian muscles. In both taxanomic groups capillarity and diffusion distances are independent of body mass. In addition, diffusion distances are characteristic of capillaries distributed in random arrays through the muscle cross section.Abbreviations

Homeotherms are generally considered to lack classical active dermal pigment cells (chromatophores) in their integument, attributable to the development of an outer covering coat of hair or feathers. However, bright colored dermal pigment cells, comparable to chromatophores of lower vertebrates, are found in the irides of many birds. We propose that, because of its exposed location, the iris is an area in which color from pigment cells has sustained a selective advantage and appears to have evolved independently of the general integument. In birds, the iris appears to have retained the potential for the complete expression of all dermal chromatophore types. Differences in cell morphology and the presence of unusual pigments in birds are suggested to be the result of evolutionary changes that followed the divergence of birds from reptiles. By comparison, mammals appear to have lost the potential for producing iridophores, xanthophores, or erythrophores comparable to those of lower vertebrates, even though some species possess brightly colored irides. It is proposed that at least one species of mammal (the domestic cat) has recruited a novel iridial reflecting pigment organelle originally developed in the choroidal tapetum lucidum. The potential presence of classical chromatophores in mammals remains open, as few species with bright irides have been examined. 相似文献

Neospora caninum is an obligate intracellular protozoan parasite that infects domestic and wild animals. Canids are considered to be definitive hosts since they may shed oocysts into the environment through their feces. The disease is recognized as one of the major causes of bovine abortion worldwide, leading to important economic losses in the dairy and beef cattle industries. Previous studies have reported N. caninum infection in different species of birds; infection in birds has been associated with increased seroprevalence and reproductive problems in dairy cattle. Although the role of birds in the epidemiological cycle of neosporosis is unknown, birds are exposed to infection because they feed on the ground and could thus contribute to parasite dissemination. Strigeidae Railliet, 1919 are digenean parasites of birds and mammals that are characteristic by their cup-shaped forebody and bilobed holdfast organ. Despite that the family is taxonomically unsettled, particularly due to a very limited number of visible autapomorphic identification features, molecular phylogenetics have never been applied to analyze the relationships among European members of Strigeidae except for the genus Ichthyocotylurus. Here, we analyze the Strigeidae found during the examination of Czech birds performed from 1962 to 2017, and we provide comparative measurements and host spectra, including prevalence and intensity; we also provide and analyze sequences of four DNA loci of 12 of the Strigeidae species. We suggest the reclassification of Parastrigea robusta Szidat, 1928 as Strigea robusta (Szidat, 1928) Heneberg and Sitko, 2018 comb. n. The genera Strigea Abildgaard, 1790 and Parastrigea Szidat, 1928 appear paraphyletic, and morphological diagnostic features of genera within Strigeini Dubois, 1936 are invalid. The mute swan Cygnus olor hosts two Cotylurus spp., Cotylurus syrius Dubois, 1934 and a second species with molecular identification features shared in part with Cotylurus cornutus (Rudolphi, 1808) and Cotylurus gallinulae Lutz, 1928. New host records are provided for seven species. Analyses of non-European genera of the Strigeidae are needed to provide an updated key to Strigeini. 相似文献

Recent advancements in sequencing technology have resulted in rapid progress in the study of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) in non‐model avian species. Here, we analyze a global dataset of avian MHC class I and class II sequences (ca. 11,000 sequences from over 250 species) to gain insight into the processes that govern macroevolution of MHC genes in birds. Analysis of substitution rates revealed striking differences in the patterns of diversifying selection between passerine and non‐passerine birds. Non‐passerines showed stronger selection at MHC class II, which is primarily involved in recognition of extracellular pathogens, while passerines showed stronger selection at MHC class I, which is involved in recognition of intracellular pathogens. Positions of positively selected amino‐acid residues showed marked discrepancies with peptide‐binding residues (PBRs) of human MHC molecules, suggesting that using a human classification of PBRs to assess selection patterns at the avian MHC may be unjustified. Finally, our analysis provided evidence that indel mutations can make a substantial contribution to adaptive variation at the avian MHC. 相似文献

为系统掌握宽阔水国家级自然保护区野生动物资源状况,采用公里网格布设红外相机,对宽阔水重点区域大中型兽类和地面活动鸟类进行调查。结果显示:(1)褐胸噪鹛(Garrulax maesi)、蓝歌鸲(Luscinia cyane)、灰翅鸫(Turdus boulboul)、红腿长吻松鼠(Dremomys pyrrhomerus)等4种为该保护区新纪录野生动物;(2)宽阔水拍摄率高的常见种类有红腹锦鸡(Chrysolophus pictus)(1.09)、灰胸竹鸡(Bambusicola thoracica) (0.44)、红腿长吻松鼠(Dremomys pyrrhomerus)(3.16)、野猪(Sus scrofa)(0.69)、小麂(Muntiacus reevesi)(0.49)等。这些常见物种在宽阔水呈现不同的日活动节律。野猪活动频率为早午主副峰型(08:00-09:00为小高峰,11:00-13:30为大高峰),小麂为晨昏型(09:30-11:30与17:00-19:00两个高峰),红腿长吻松鼠虽在早08:00-10:00稍显活跃,但整个日间节律高低峰并不明显;灰胸竹鸡日节律呈多高峰,而红腹锦鸡为早晚双峰型(10:00-11:00与16:00-17:00);(3)宽阔水监测区域内不同生境类型和海拔对物种拍摄率无显著差异。红外相机监测结果能够较为全面地反映出宽阔水保护区鸟兽多样性状况,有利于区域生物多样性编目、保护管理和重要物种生态学研究。 相似文献
