太行隆肛蛙补充描述(无尾目,蛙科)   总被引:9,自引:2,他引:7  
对采自我国河南济源市邵原镇太行山的隆肛蛙标本进行了形态学观察分析,发现该地标本在形态上与模式产地巫山隆肛蛙标本及其它种群存在明显差异,这表明太行山的隆肛蛙应是一独立种,即太行隆肛蛙Paa(Feirana)taihangnicus.本文对该种进行了详细的记述,并依据遗传学资料做了相应的分类讨论.  相似文献

Evolution of reproduction in the Rhacophoridae (Amphibia, Anura)   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Rhacophorid treefrogs have different reproductive modes: some go through a tadpole stage and some have direct development, and the adults of some species produce foam nests. Philautus is the only genus characterized by direct development. The production of foam nests has been reported in the genera Polypedates, Rhacophorus, Chiromantis and Chirixalus. Recent molecular studies did not provide a robust hypothesis concerning the origin of these reproductive modes in the Rhacophoridae. In order to better understand the evolution of these reproductive modes, we tried to clarify relationships within this group, using DNA sequencing. Our data set consists in a large number of new sequences (1676 base pairs corresponding to threee genes) for five outgroup ranoids and 48 Rhacophoridae, including 16 undescribed species from Sri Lanka and southern India, and all homologous data available in Genbank. After the inclusion of Philautus from India, our data show that the separation of Philautus into clades does not coincide with their geographic distribution. Our data point to the existence of a clade, including the genera Rhacophorus, Polypedates, Chiromantis and Chirixalus, which confirms the results of Wilkinson et al. (2002) and suggests that the ability to produce foam nests has emerged only once in the Rhacophoridae, as already stated by these authors.  相似文献

利用RAPD技术检测了分属无尾目3个科(雨蛙科、蟾蜍科、蛙科)的黑眶蟾蜍(Bufomelanostictus)、中国雨蛙(Hyla chinensis)、泽陆蛙(Rana limnocharis)、沼水蛙(R.guentheri)的系统发生关系。经19个随机引物对4个物种基因组DNA进行扩增,选择其中扩增谱带清晰的16个引物进行分析,计算不同科间及同一科内不同种间的遗传距离,结果表明:16个引物获得的RAPD谱带均表现出不同程度的多态性;泽陆蛙与沼水蛙间的亲缘关系最近,而黑眶蟾蜍与中国雨蛙之间的亲缘关系较黑眶蟾蜍与蛙科的泽陆蛙、沼水蛙之间以及中国雨蛙与泽陆蛙、沼水蛙之间的亲缘关系近,从基因组DNA水平上也说明雨蛙科与蟾蜍科间的亲缘关系更近,与蛙科的亲缘关系更远,这与形态学、染色体和线粒体DNA多态性研究的分析结果一致,从而进一步从分子水平上为无属目这3科的系统演化提供了新的证据。  相似文献

This study describes the spermatozoa of the dendrobatids Epipedobates femoralis and Colostethus sp. using light and transmission electron microscopy. Both species possess a biflagellate spermatozoon, an unusual characteristic only previously reported in two anuran species belonging to the families Leptodactylidae and Racophoridae. The acrosomal complex of both species consists of a conical acrosomal vesicle and a subacrosomal cone, both of which cover the anterior portion of the nucleus, but to differing extents. In the midpiece, the centrioles are disposed parallel to each other and to the cell axis and give rise to two axonemes. Two paraxonemal rods were also seen entering the nuclear fossa. Both flagella are surrounded by a single mitochondrial collar. Each flagellum is formed by an axial fiber connected to the axoneme by an axial sheath; juxta-axonemal fibers are absent. Our data seem to support that Epipedobates femoralis should be placed in a separate clade possibly related to Colosthetus and that these two genera may not be monophyletic.  相似文献

A molecular phylogenetic analysis of the Hyla pulchella species group was performed to test its monophyly, explore the interrelationships of its species, and evaluate the validity of the taxa that were considered subspecies of H. pulchella. Approximately 2.8 kb from the mitochondrial genes 12s, tRNA valine, 16s, and Cytochrome b were sequenced. The analysis included 50 terminals representing 10 of the 14-15 species currently recognized in the H. pulchella group, including samples from several localities for some taxa, several outgroups, as well as two species previously suspected to be related with the group (Hyla guentheri and Hyla bischoffi). The results show that the H. pulchella and Hyla circumdata groups are distantly related, and, therefore, should be recognized as separate groups. As currently defined, the H. pulchella group is paraphyletic with respect to the Hyla polytaenia group; therefore, we recognize the Hyla polytaenia clade in the H. pulchella group. Two subspecies of H. pulchella recognized by some authors are considered full species including Hyla pulchella riojana because it is only distantly related to H. pulchella, and Hyla pulchella cordobae because molecular and non-molecular evidence suggests that it is specifically distinct. With the inclusion of the H. polytaenia clade, H. guentheri, and H. bischoffi, and the recognition of the two former subspecies of H. pulchella as distinct species, the H. pulchella group now comprises 25 described species. All representatives of the H. pulchella group with an Andean distribution are monophyletic and nested within a clade from the Atlantic forest from south-southeastern Brazil/northeastern Argentina, and Cerrado gallery forest from central Brazil.  相似文献

The oocytes of many organisms, including frogs and fish, contain a distinct cytoplasmic organelle called the Balbiani body. Because of the scarcity of published information and the tremendous variability in the appearance, ultrastructure, and composition of Balbiani bodies between species, the function of the Balbiani body and its inter-species homology remain a mystery. In Xenopus laevis, the Balbiani body is known to play a role in transporting germ cell determinants and localized RNAs to the oocyte vegetal cortex. In fish, however, the molecular composition of the Balbiani body has not been studied to date, and its function remains completely unknown. We have studied the ultrastructure and molecular composition of previtellogenic oocytes of the sturgeon, Acipenser gueldenstaedtii, by using electron microscopy, in situ hybridization, and immunostaining. We have found that sturgeon oocytes contain two distinct zones of cytoplasm: homogeneous (organelle-free) and granular (organelle-rich). We have also found that the granular ooplasm, which we term the Balbiani cytoplasm, shares important homologies, in both ultrastructure and molecular composition, with Xenopus Balbiani bodies. Secreted protein, acidic, rich in cysteine (SPARC) is an ancient calcium-binding glycoprotein associated with the extracellular matrices of invertebrates and vertebrates. We have previously reported an intracellular association of SPARC with the 9+2 microtubule arrays of cilia on the surface ectoderm of Xenopus embryos. During early development in Xenopus, ciliated cell precursors are associated with the inner sensorial layer of the two-layered embryonic skin. The ciliated cell precursors migrate to the overlying surface ectoderm where they undergo ciliogenesis. Whole-mount immunohistochemical data indicate SPARC is associated with the ciliary tuffts until ciliated cells begin to disappear from the surface ectoderm during late tailbud development. We now report an association between SPARC and tubulin in Xenopus embryonic cell lysates by co-immunoprecipitation. Tubulin is not co-immunoprecipitated by anti-SPARC antibodies that show no cross-reactivity to Xenopus SPARC by whole-mount immunocytochemical analysis. An association of SPARC with tubulin has also been observed in pull-down assays with biotinylated SPARC as bait. These data indicate that SPARC may have intracellular and extracellular functions during development in Xenopus.  相似文献

Presumed dopaminergic neurons were visualized in the retina of the clawed frog, Xenopus laevis, by anti-tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) immunoreactivity. The studied cells constitute a uniform population with perikarya at the junction of inner nuclear (INL) and inner plexiform (IPL) layers. Each cell body gives rise to 4–6 relatively stout processes (0.5–2.0 m in diameter) which run for up to 1.2 mm in strata 4–5 of the IPL. These processes have a very asymmetric distribution in the horizontal plane of the retina. A dense plexus of TH fine fibers is distributed uniformly in stratum 1 of the IPL. TH cells are distributed evenly but sparsely (16–20 cells/mm2) across the retina. About 20% of the TH neurons emit 1–3 distally directed fine processes, the majority of which extend < 20 m, which barely suffices to reach the outer plexiform layer (OPL). Other longer processes are typically unbranched; some reach the OPL, others run tangentially in the INL. The axon terminals of Golgi-impregnated bipolar cells are characterized according to the strata of the IPL in which they arborize. About 80% are confined either to strata 1–2 or 3–5, conforming to the off and on zones defined by Famiglietti and Kolb (1976). The remainder appear to end in both zones, some extending across the entire width of the IPL. EM examination showed that TH processes receive bipolar synaptic input in both distal and proximal portions of the IPL.  相似文献

The action of the epithelium on differentiation of connective tissue cells of Xenopus small intestine during metamorphosis was investigated by using culture and morphological techniques. Connective tissue fragments isolated from the small intestine at stage 57 were cultivated in the presence or absence of homologous epithelium. In the presence of the epithelium, metamorphic changes in the connective tissue were fully induced by hormones including thyroid hormone (T3), as during spontaneous metamorphosis, whereas they were partially induced in the absence of the epithelium. Macrophage-like cells showing non-specific esterase activity in the connective tissue were much fewer in the absence of the epithelium than in the presence of it, and aggregates of fibroblasts possessing well-developed rough endoplasmic reticulum developed only in the presence of the epithelium. Just before the aggregation of the fibroblasts, the connective tissue close to the epithelium became intensely stained with concanavalin A (ConA) and wheat germ agglutinin (WGA). The present results indicate that the epithelium plays important roles in the differentiation of intestinal connective tissue cells, which in turn affect the epithelial transformation from larval to adult form during anuran metamorphosis. Thus, the tissue interaction between the epithelium and the connective tissue in the anuran small intestine is truly bidirectional.  相似文献
