Our study analyzes the growth response (release or suppression) of Norway spruce trees growing along a landslide zone in eastern Czech Republic. A total of one hundred and eighty-six increment cores were extracted from Norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) individuals, which were affected by two different disturbances, the Girová landslide in May 2010 and an anthropogenic cut-off in the neighborhood of the landslide later the same year. Growth changes were analysed in three zones that were defined according to the type of effect the disturbance had on the surrounding vegetation. The aims of our study are to (i) detect growth changes in trees that survived the disturbances in 2010, (ii) evaluate the delay time of the growth reaction to the disturbances, (iii) compare how growth changes differed in response to the two different disturbance types (natural landslide vs. anthropogenic harvesting and deforestation), and (iv) investigate spatio-temporal differences in the growth changes. Our results indicate that tree growth changed in response to the altered environmental conditions following the 2010 disturbances. The changes vary depending on the intensity of the disturbance and its effect on the forest stand. Trees in Zone 1 responded with a slight growth release (14.6 % of responding trees), which was strongest after 2013. However, growth suppression (85.4 %) was the dominant reaction in Zone 1; with the majority of trees showing growth suppression in 2014, four years after the events. The strongest and most abrupt growth release (66.1 %) occurred in Zone 2 in 2011, after a one-year delay. Since 2010, we have observed a trend of growth suppression (33.9 %) in this zone. In Zone 3, following a one-year delay, growth release has occurred gradually in about a third of the trees (37.0 %). The majority of trees in this zone have responded with growth suppression (63.0 %) in 2010 and with a three-year delay after 2013. We also found differences in how tree growth responds to anthropogenic and landslide disturbances, as well as spatio-temporal differences related to the extent of post-disturbance changes.  相似文献

Acid-hydrolysis of cellulosic pyrolysate to glucose and its fermentation to ethanol were investigated. The maximum glucose yield (17.4%) was obtained by the hydrolysis with 0.2 mol/l sulfuric acid using autoclaving at 121 degrees C for 20 min. The fermentation by Saccharomyces cerevisiae of a hydrolysate medium containing 31.6 g/l glucose gave 14.2 g/l ethanol after 24 h, whereas the fermentation of the medium containing 31.6 g/l pure glucose gave 13.7 g/l ethanol after 18 h. The results showed that acid-hydrolyzed pyrolysate could be used for ethanol production. Different nitrogen sources were evaluated and the best ethanol concentration (15.1 g/l) was achieved by single urea. S. cerevisiae (R) was obtained by adaptation of S. cerevisiae to the hydrolysate medium for 12 times, and 40.2 g/l ethanol was produced by it in the fermentation with the hydrolysate medium containing 95.8 g/l glucose, which was about 47% increase in ethanol production compared to its parent strain.  相似文献

beta-D-GlcpA-(1-->2)-alpha-D-Manp-(1-->3)-[beta-D-Xylp-(1-->2)]-alpha-D-Manp-(1-->3)[-beta-D-Xylp-(1-->2)]-alpha-D-Manp, the repeating unit of the exopolysaccharide from Cryptococcus neoformans serovar A, was synthesized as its allyl glycoside. Thus, 3-O-selective acetylation of allyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-alpha-D-mannopyranoside afforded 2, and subsequent glycosylation of 2 with 2,3,4-tri-O-benzoyl-D-xylopyranosyl trichloroacetimidate furnished the beta-(1-->2)-linked disaccharide 4. Debenzylidenation followed by benzoylation gave allyl 2,3,4-tri-O-benzoyl-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->2)-3-O-acetyl-4,6-di-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-mannopyranoside (5), and selective 3-O-deacetylation gave the disaccharide acceptor 6. Coupling of 6 with 2-O-acetyl-3,4,6-tri-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-mannopyranosyl trichloroacetimidate yielded the trisaccharide 8, and subsequent deallylation and trichloroacetimidation gave 2,3,4-tri-O-benzoyl-beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[2-O-acetyl-3,4,6-tri-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-mannopyranosyl-(1-->3)]-4,6-di-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-mannopyranosyl trichloroacetimidate (9). Condensation of the trisaccharide donor 9 with the disaccharide acceptor 6 gave the pentasaccharide 10 whose 2-O-deacetylation gave the acceptor 11. Glycosylation of 11 with methyl 2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-alpha-D-glucopyranosyluronate trichloroacetimidate and subsequent deprotection gave the target hexasaccharide.  相似文献

The concentrations of rare earth elements (REs) in atmospheric particles, soil, soil water, surface runoff, and different parts of corn in an experimental plot in the suburb of Beijing, China were measured and the flux of REs was estimated. The concentration of REs in air particles with diameter less than 10 μm is 36 ng/m3 and, by ratio analysis, the origin of REs in the atmosphere was likely local soil. The concentration of soluble REs is 0.69 μg/L in rainwater, 5–7 μg/L in surface runoff, as well as 1–4 μg/L in soil water and the application of RE mixture has no observed influences on their concentrations. The concentration of soluble REs in surface runoff and soil water was dominated by aqueous-solid-phase partitioning. By estimation of the flux, most of the REs applied will remain in the soil phase and continued application of REs will cause an accumulation of REs in agricultural soil.  相似文献

A practical synthesis of beta-D-GlcA-(1-->3)-beta-D-Gal-(1-->3)-beta-D-Gal-(1-->4)-beta-D-Xyl-(1-->OMe) was achieved by coupling of methyl 2,3,4-tri-O-acetyl-alpha-D-glucopyranosyluronate trichloroacetimidate with a trisaccharide acceptor. The trisaccharide acceptor was obtained by condensation of 3-O-allyl-2,4,6-tri-O-benzoyl-beta-D-galactopyranosyl-(1-->3)-2,4,6-tri-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-galactopyranosyl trichloroacetimidate with methyl 2,3-di-O-benzoyl-beta-D-xylopyranoside, followed by deallylation. The beta-(1-->3)-linked disaccharide was prepared readily with p-methoxyphenyl 3-O-allyl-2,4,6-tri-O-benzoyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside as the key synthon. The alpha-(1-->3)-linkage was formed in considerable amount with galactose mono- and disaccharide trichloroacetimidate donors with C-2 neighboring group participation.  相似文献

A highly concise and effective synthesis of the mannose octasaccharide repeating unit of the cell-wall mannan of Trichophyton mentagrophytes and T. rubrum was achieved via 6-O-glycosylation of a tetrasaccharide acceptor with a tetrasaccharide donor, followed by deprotection. The key tetrasaccharide (11) was constructed by selective 6-O-glycosylation of allyl 3,4-di-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-mannopyranosyl-(1-->6)-2,3,4-tri-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-mannopyranoside with 6-O-acetyl-2,3,4-tri-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-mannopyranosyl trichloroacetimidate, then with 2,3,4,6-tetra-O-benzoyl-alpha-D-mannopyranosyl trichloroacetimidate. The tetrasaccharide acceptor (13) was obtained by selective 6-O-deacetylation of 11, while the tetrasaccharide donor 12 was obtained by deallylation of 11, followed by trichloroacetimidation.  相似文献
