The continued SAR investigation of tryptamine-based human beta(3)-adrenergic receptor (AR) agonists is reported. Prior efforts resulted in the identification of 2 as a potent beta(3)-AR agonist. Further modification of the left side arylsulfonamide portion in 2 provided compounds with good cell permeability, which have potent agonistic activity for beta(3)-AR. We examined effects of seasonality of climate and dominant life form (evergreen/deciduous, broad-leaf/coniferous) together with energy condition on species diversity, forest structure, forest dynamics, and productivity of forest ecosystems by comparing the patterns of changes in these ecosystem attributes along altitudinal gradients in tropical regions without seasonality and along a latitudinal gradient from tropical to temperate regions in humid East Asia. We used warmth index (temperature sum during growing season, WI) as an index of energy condition common to both altitudinal and latitudinal gradients. There were apparent differences in patterns of changes in the ecosystem attributes in relation to WI among four forest formations that were classified according to dominant life form and climatic zone (tropical/temperate). Many of the ecosystem attributes—Fishers alpha of species-diversity indices, maximum tree height and stem density, productivity [increment rate of aboveground biomass (AGB)], and population and biomass turnover rates—changed sharply with WI in tropical and temperate evergreen broad-leaved forests, but did not change linearly or changed only loosely with WI in temperate deciduous broad-leaved and evergreen coniferous forests. Values of these ecosystem attributes in temperate deciduous broad-leaved and evergreen coniferous forests were higher (stem density was lower) than those in tropical and temperate evergreen broad-leaved forests under colder conditions (WI below 100°C). Present results indicate that seasonality of climate and resultant change in dominant life form work to buffer the effects of energy reduction on ecosystem attributes along latitudinal gradients. 相似文献

Fungal aldoxime dehydratase (Oxd) of Fusarium graminearum MAFF305135 was purified and characterized for the first time from its overexpressing Escherichia coli transformant. The enzyme showed about 20% identity with known Oxds, and had similar enzymatic properties with nitrilase-linked Oxd from the Bacillus strain. CAPRICE (CPC), a small, R3-type Myb-like protein, is a positive regulator of root hair development in Arabidopsis. Cell-to-cell movement of CPC is important for the differentiation of epidermal cells into trichoblasts (root hair cells). CPC is transported from atrichoblasts (hairless cells), where it is expressed, to trichoblasts, and generally accumulates in their nuclei. Using truncated versions of CPC fused to GFP, we identified a signal domain that is necessary and sufficient for CPC cell-to-cell movement. This domain includes the N-terminal region and a part of the Myb domain. Amino acid substitution experiments indicated that W76 and M78 in the Myb domain are critical for targeted transport, and that W76 is crucial for the nuclear accumulation of CPC:GFP. To evaluate the tissue-specificity of CPC movement, CPC:GFP was expressed in the stele using the SHR promoter and in trichoblasts using the EGL3 promoter. CPC:GFP was able to move from trichoblasts to atrichoblasts but could not exit from the stele, suggesting the involvement of tissue-specific regulatory factors in the intercellular movement of CPC. Analyses with a secretion inhibitor, Brefeldin A, and with an rhd3 mutant defective in the secretion process in root epidermis suggested that intercellular CPC movement is mediated through plasmodesmata. Furthermore, the fusion of CPC to tandem-GFPs defined the capability of CPC to increase the size exclusion limit of plasmodesmata. 相似文献

A general synthesis of alpha-1-C-substituted derivatives of fagomine (2-deoxynojirimycin-alpha-C-glycosides) by ring-opening reactions of an aziridine with various heteroatomic nucleophiles, including thiol, amine, alcohol, carboxylate and phosphate, is described. The nine-step reaction sequence proceeded in an overall yield of 14-28% from tri-O-benzyl-D-glucal. Biological evaluation of alpha-1-C-substituted derivatives of fagomine, of the 2-deoxy analog of alpha-homonojirimycin 19 and its 1,N-anhydro derivative 22 as glycosidase inhibitors is reported. The glycosyl phosphate mimetic 15k was found to display no inhibitory activity towards glycogen phosphorylase b and phosphoglucomutase. 相似文献
