The excitation energy transfer between carotenoid and chlorophyll (Chl) in the cytochrome b 6 f complex from Bryopsis corticulans (B. corticulans), in which the carotenoid is 9-cis-α-carotene, was investigated by means of fluorescence excitation and sub-microsecond time-resolved absorption spectroscopies. The presence of efficient singlet excitation transfer from α-carotene to Chl a was found with an overall efficiency as high as ∼ ∼24%, meanwhile the Chl a-to-α-carotene triplet excitation transfer was also evidenced. Circular dichroism spectroscopy showed that α-carotene molecule existed in an asymmetric environment and Chl a molecule had a certain orientation in this complex.Bin-Xing Li and Ping Zuo contributed equally to this work.  相似文献

A pure, active cytochrome b 6 f was isolated from the chloroplasts of the marine green alga, Bryopsis corticulans. To investigate and characterize this cytochrome b 6 f complex, sodium dodecyl sulfate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS–PAGE), absorption spectra measurement and HPLC were employed. It was shown that this purified complex contained four large subunits with apparent molecular masses of 34.8, 24, 18.7 and 16.7 kD. The ratio of Cyt b 6 to Cytf was 2.01 : 1. The cytochromeb 6 f was shown to catalyze the transfer of 73 electrons from decylplastoquinol to plastocyanin–ferricyanide per Cyt f per second. α-Carotene, one kind of carotenoid that has not been found to present in cytochrome b 6 f complex, was discovered in this preparation by reversed phase HPLC. It was different from β-carotene usually found in cytochrome b 6 f complex. The configuration of the major α-carotene component was assigned to be 9-cis by resonance Raman spectroscopy. Different from the previous reports, the configuration of this α-carotene in dissociated state was determined to be all-trans. Besides this carotene, chlorophyll a was also found in this complex. It was shown that the molecular ratios of chlorophylla, cis and all-trans-α-carotene to Cyt f in this complex were 1.2, 0.7 and 0.2, respectively.  相似文献

This paper shows that the “second Emerson effect”1 exists not only in photosynthesis, but also in the quinone reduction (Hill reaction), in Chlorella pyrenoidosa and Anacystis nidulans. The peaks at 650 mμ, 600 mμ, 560 mμ, 520 mμ, and 480 mμ, observed in the action spectrum of this effect in the Hill reaction in Chorella, are attributable to chlorophyll b; the occurrence of an additional peak at 670 mμ, 620 mμ, and of two (or three) peaks in the blueviolet region suggests that (at least) one form of chlorophyll a contributes to it. In analogy to suggestions made previously in the interpretation of the Emerson effect in photosynthesis, these results are taken as indicating that excitation by light preferentially absorbed by one (or two) forms of chlorophyll a (Chl a 690 + 700), needs support by simultaneous absorption of light in another form of chlorophyll a (Chl a 670)—directly or via energy transfer from chlorophyll b—in order to produce the Hill reaction with its full quantum yield. In Anacystis, the participation of phycocyanin in the Emerson effect in the Hill reaction is revealed by the occurrence, in the action spectrum of this effect, of peaks at about 560 mμ, 610 mμ, and 640 mμ; a peak at 670 mμ, due to Chl a 670, also is present.  相似文献

We describe spectral reflectance measurements of snow containing the snow alga Chlamydomonas nivalis and a model to retrieve snow algal concentrations from airborne imaging spectrometer data. Because cells of C. nivalis absorb at specific wavelengths in regions indicative of carotenoids (astaxanthin esters, lutein, β-carotene) and chlorophylls a and b, the spectral signature of snow containing C. nivalis is distinct from that of snow without algae. The spectral reflectance of snow containing C. nivalis is separable from that of snow without algae due to carotenoid absorption in the wavelength range from 0.4 to 0.58 μm and chlorophyll a and b absorption in the wavelength range from 0.6 to 0.7 μm. The integral of the scaled chlorophyll a and b absorption feature (I0.68) varies with algal concentration (Ca). Using the relationship Ca = 81019.2 I0.68 + 845.2, we inverted Airborne Visible Infrared Imaging Spectrometer reflectance data collected in the Tioga Pass region of the Sierra Nevada in California to determine algal concentration. For the 5.5-km2 region imaged, the mean algal concentration was 1,306 cells ml−1, the standard deviation was 1,740 cells ml−1, and the coefficient of variation was 1.33. The retrieved spatial distribution was consistent with observations made in the field. From the spatial estimates of algal concentration, we calculated a total imaged algal biomass of 16.55 kg for the 0.495-km2 snow-covered area, which gave an areal biomass concentration of 0.033 g/m2.  相似文献

The photoexcited triplet state of the carotenoid peridinin in the Peridinin-chlorophyll a-protein of the dinoflagellate Amphidinium carterae has been investigated by pulse EPR and pulse ENDOR spectroscopies at variable temperatures. This is the first time that the ENDOR spectra of a carotenoid triplet in a naturally occurring light-harvesting complex, populated by energy transfer from the chlorophyll a triplet state, have been reported. From the electron spin echo experiments we have obtained the information on the electron spin polarization dynamics and from Mims ENDOR experiments we have derived the triplet state hyperfine couplings of the α- and β-protons of the peridinin conjugated chain. Assignments of β-protons belonging to two different methyl groups, with aiso = 7.0 MHz and aiso = 10.6 MHz respectively, have been made by comparison with the values predicted from density functional theory. Calculations provide a complete picture of the triplet spin density on the peridinin molecule, showing that the triplet spins are delocalized over the whole π-conjugated system with an alternate pattern, which is lost in the central region of the polyene chain. The ENDOR investigation strongly supports the hypothesis of localization of the triplet state on one peridinin in each subcluster of the PCP complex, as proposed in [Di Valentin et al. Biochim. Biophys. Acta 1777 (2008) 186-195]. High spin density has been found specifically at the carbon atom at position 12 (see Fig. 1B), which for the peridinin involved in the photo-protective mechanism is in close contact with the water ligand to the chlorophyll a pigment. We suggest that this ligated water molecule, placed at the interface between the chlorophyll-peridinin pair, is functioning as a bridge in the triplet-triplet energy transfer between the two pigments.  相似文献

1. Myxophyceae normally growing at 65°C. evolved oxygen upon irradiation and showed evidence of retaining the power to carry on the process of photosynthesis at 20°C. This indicates that extra thermal energy is not essential for photosynthesis at least over a short period of time. 2. Chlorophyll a and b found in several species of Myxophyceae growing in waters ranging in temperature from 37–72°C. are essentially the same as found in plants growing all over the world. Certain standard chemical tests and spectroscopic examination of the chlorophylls were used as the criteria for these comparisons. The ratio of chlorophyll a to b often varied considerably but in general chlorophyll a showed an increase over the percentage found in most plants. 3. Green algae (Chlorella sp.?) were the only forms found at The Geysers, California. The temperature of the waters from which collections were made varied from 49–66°C. 4. Collections from Beowawe, Nevada were from waters ranging from 60–71°C. The algae belonged to the Myxophyceae and the species were like some of those found in Yellowstone National Park. 5. In some of the calcareous regions of Yellowstone National Park spectroscopic study of the chlorophylls revealed an unidentified absorption band at 548 mµ.  相似文献

The pigments of the chromophyte freshwater alga, Chrysophaera magna Belcher were analyzed by thin layer chromatography (TLC) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to reveal the presence of chlorophylls a and c, β-carotene, fucoxanthin, and antheraxanthin. The presence of antheraxanthin was verified by comparison of TLC RF values, HPLC retention times, and absorption features to those of authentic, synthetic antheraxanthin. Antheraxanthin accounted for about 15% of the total carotenoid content of C. magna. The molar ratio of the major carotenoids was antheraxanthin:fucoxanthin:β-carotene, 1:2.3:3.3. The whole-cell absorption spectrum revealed a broad band between 470 and 520 nanometers which was attributed to fucoxanthin and antheraxanthin in vivo. Upon extraction in hydrocarbon, this broad absorption region was lost. The in vivo fluorescence excitation spectrum for 680 nm emission revealed the energy transfer activities and light harvesting roles of chlorophylls a and c, and fucoxanthin. In addition, an excitation band was resolved at 487 nanometers which could be attributed only to antheraxanthin. Comparison of whole-cell fluorescence excitation spectra of C. magna with the diatom Phaeodactylum tricornutum, which possesses fucoxanthin but not antheraxanthin, supports the assignment of the 487 nm band to antheraxanthin. This is the first report of a photosynthetic light harvesting function of the xanthophyll, antheraxanthin. This carotenoid broadens the absorption cross-section for photosynthesis in C. magna and extends light harvesting into the green portion of the spectrum.  相似文献

In eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells, F-ATP synthases provide energy through the synthesis of ATP. The chloroplast F-ATP synthase (CF1FO-ATP synthase) of plants is integrated into the thylakoid membrane via its FO-domain subunits a, b, b’ and c. Subunit c with a stoichiometry of 14 and subunit a form the gate for H+-pumping, enabling the coupling of electrochemical energy with ATP synthesis in the F1 sector. Here we report the crystallization and structure determination of the c14-ring of subunit c of the CF1FO-ATP synthase from spinach chloroplasts. The crystals belonged to space group C2, with unit-cell parameters a=144.420, b=99.295, c=123.51 Å, and β=104.34° and diffracted to 4.5 Å resolution. Each c-ring contains 14 monomers in the asymmetric unit. The length of the c-ring is 60.32 Å, with an outer ring diameter 52.30 Å and an inner ring width of 40 Å.  相似文献

Photosystem II in oxygenic organisms is a large membrane bound rapidly turning over pigment protein complex. During its biogenesis, multiple assembly intermediates are formed, including the CP43-preassembly complex (pCP43). To understand the energy transfer dynamics in pCP43, we first engineered a His-tagged version of the CP43 in a CP47-less strain of the cyanobacterium Synechocystis 6803. Isolated pCP43 from this engineered strain was subjected to advanced spectroscopic analysis to evaluate its excitation energy dissipation characteristics. These included measurements of steady-state absorption and fluorescence emission spectra for which correlation was tested with Stepanov relation. Comparison of fluorescence excitation and absorptance spectra determined that efficiency of energy transfer from β-carotene to chlorophyll a is 39 %. Time-resolved fluorescence images of pCP43-bound Chl a were recorded on streak camera, and fluorescence decay dynamics were evaluated with global fitting. These demonstrated that the decay kinetics strongly depends on temperature and buffer used to disperse the protein sample and fluorescence decay lifetime was estimated in 3.2–5.7 ns time range, depending on conditions. The pCP43 complex was also investigated with femtosecond and nanosecond time-resolved absorption spectroscopy upon excitation of Chl a and β-carotene to reveal pathways of singlet excitation relaxation/decay, Chl a triplet dynamics and Chl a → β-carotene triplet state sensitization process. The latter demonstrated that Chl a triplet in the pCP43 complex is not efficiently quenched by carotenoids. Finally, detailed kinetic analysis of the rise of the population of β-carotene triplets determined that the time constant of the carotenoid triplet sensitization is 40 ns.  相似文献

The herbicide Sandoz 6706 (4-chloro-5-(dimethylamino)-2-α,α,α, (trifluoro-m-tolyl)-3(2H)-pyridazinone), when applied as a preplant soil treatment at a concentration of 0.05 μg/g reduced the content of β-carotene and chlorophylls in 21-day-old wheat seedlings (Triticum aestivum L.) by 55% and 29%, respectively, without affecting the fresh or dry matter of the seedlings. At 0.8 μg/g, the herbicide reduced the content of β-carotene and chlorophyll by as much as 98%, while the fresh weight of the albino seedlings was reduced by only 24%. The effect of the herbicide on chlorophyll b was much stronger than on chlorophyll a. Time course studies of pigment synthesis in Sandoz 6706-treated seedlings showed that chlorophyll, β-carotene, cyclic xanthophylls, phytoene, phytofluene, and ζ-carotene were accumulating during the first 7 days after sowing. Later on, there was a sharp decline in the content of chlorophyll and β-carotene and a gradual reduction in the content of phytofluene, ζ-carotene, and cyclic xanthophylls; the content of phytoene remained essentially unchanged. Coinciding with the drop in content of β-carotene and chlorophyll, there was a remarkable increase in the content of epoxy phytoene. It is suggested that Sandoz 6706 might act as an inhibitor of the cyclization reaction in the biosynthetic pathway of carotenoids and that other effects, such as the bleaching of chlorophyll, are a consequence of this inhibition.  相似文献

Upon termination of watering of plants of Nerium oleander exposed to high light, photochemical efficiency became reduced as leaf water content decreased. Evidence is presented that this type of photoinhibition reflects to a substantial degree radiationless dissipation of excitation energy, probably mediated by the carotenoid zeaxanthin. During the imposition of water stress, the zeaxanthin content of leaves increased at the expense of violaxanthin and β-carotene as a water deficit developed over a period of several days. The increase in zeaxanthin content was linearly related to an increase in the rate of radiationless energy dissipation in the antenna chlorophyll as calculated from the characteristics of chlorophyll a fluorescence measured with a pulse amplitude modulated fluorometer at room temperature. The increase in the rate of radiationless dissipation was also linearly related to a decrease in PSII photochemical efficiency as indicated by the ratio of variable to maximum fluorescence. Leaves of well-watered shade plants of N. oleander exposed to strong light showed a similar increase in zeaxanthin content as sun leaves of the same species subjected to drought in strong light. Shade leaves possessed the same capacity as sun leaves to form zeaxanthin at the expense of both violaxanthin and β-carotene. The resistance of this species to the destructive effects of excess light appears to be related to interconversions between β-carotene and the three carotenoids of the xanthophyll cycle.  相似文献

The typically intense carotenoid accumulation in cultivated orange-rooted carrots (Daucus carota) is determined by a high protein abundance of the rate-limiting enzyme for carotenoid biosynthesis, phytoene synthase (PSY), as compared with white-rooted cultivars. However, in contrast to other carotenoid accumulating systems, orange carrots are characterized by unusually high levels of α-carotene in addition to β-carotene. We found similarly increased α-carotene levels in leaves of orange carrots compared with white-rooted cultivars. This has also been observed in the Arabidopsis thaliana lut5 mutant carrying a defective carotene hydroxylase CYP97A3 gene. In fact, overexpression of CYP97A3 in orange carrots restored leaf carotenoid patterns almost to those found in white-rooted cultivars and strongly reduced α-carotene levels in the roots. Unexpectedly, this was accompanied by a 30 to 50% reduction in total root carotenoids and correlated with reduced PSY protein levels while PSY expression was unchanged. This suggests a negative feedback emerging from carotenoid metabolites determining PSY protein levels and, thus, total carotenoid flux. Furthermore, we identified a deficient CYP97A3 allele containing a frame-shift insertion in orange carrots. Association mapping analysis using a large carrot population revealed a significant association of this polymorphism with both α-carotene content and the α-/β-carotene ratio and explained a large proportion of the observed variation in carrots.  相似文献

Mathematical models were developed to characterize the physiological bases of the responses of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. cv T5) seed germination to water potential (ψ) and abscisic acid (ABA). Using probit analysis, three parameters were derived that can describe the germination time courses of a seed population at different ψ or ABA levels. For the response of seed germination to reduced ψ, these parameters are the mean base water potential (¯ψb, MPa), the standard deviation of the base water potential among seeds in the population (σψb, MPa), and the “hydrotime constant” (θH, MPa·h). For the response to ABA, they are the log of the mean base ABA concentration ([unk]ABAb, m), the standard deviation of the base ABA concentration among seeds in the population (σABAb, log[m]), and the “ABA-time constant” (θABA, log[m]·h). The values of ¯ψb and [unk]ABAb provide quantitative estimates of the mean sensitivity of germination rate to ψ or ABA, whereas σψb and σABAb account for the variation in sensitivity among seeds in the population. The time constants, θH and θABA, indicate the extent to which germination rate will be affected by a given change in ψ or ABA. Using only these parameters, germination time courses can be predicted with reasonable accuracy at any medium ψ according to the equation probit(g) = [ψ - (θH/tg) - ¯ψb]/σψb, or at any ABA concentration according to the equation probit(g) = [log[ABA] - (θABA/tg) - log[[unk]ABAb]]/σABAb, where tg is the time to radicle emergence of percentage g, and ABA is the ABA concentration (m) in the incubation solution. In the presence of both ABA and reduced ψ, the same parameters can be used to predict seed germination time courses based upon strictly additive effects of ψ and ABA in delaying the time of radicle emergence. Further analysis indicates that ABA and ψ can act both independently and interactively to influence physiological processes preparatory for radicle growth, such as the accumulation of osmotic solutes in the embryo. The models provide quantitative values for the sensitivity of germination to ABA or ψ, allow evaluation of independent and interactive effects of the two factors, and have implications for understanding how ABA and ψ may regulate growth and development.  相似文献

Breast conserving surgery (BCS) is a recommended treatment for breast cancer patients where the goal is to remove the tumor and a surrounding rim of normal tissue. Unfortunately, a high percentage of patients return for additional surgeries to remove all of the cancer. Post-operative pathology is the gold standard for evaluating BCS margins but is limited due to the amount of tissue that can be sampled. Frozen section analysis and touch-preparation cytology have been proposed to address the surgical needs but also have sampling limitations. These issues represent an unmet clinical need for guidance in resecting malignant tissue intra-operatively and for pathological sampling. We have developed a quantitative spectral imaging device to examine margins intra-operatively. The context in which this technology is applied (intra-operative or post-operative setting) is influenced by time after excision and surgical factors including cautery and the presence of patent blue dye (specifically Lymphazurin™, used for sentinel lymph node mapping). Optical endpoints of hemoglobin ([THb]), fat ([β-carotene]), and fibroglandular content via light scattering (<µs’>) measurements were quantified from diffuse reflectance spectra of lumpectomy and mastectomy specimens using a Monte Carlo model. A linear longitudinal mixed-effects model was used to fit the optical endpoints for the cautery and kinetics studies. Monte Carlo simulations and tissue mimicking phantoms were used for the patent blue dye experiments. [THb], [β-carotene], and <µs’> were affected by <3.3% error with <80 µM of patent blue dye. The percent change in [β-carotene], <µs’>, and [β-carotene]/<µs’> was <14% in 30 minutes, while percent change in [THb] was >40%. [β-carotene] and [β-carotene]/<µs’> were the only parameters not affected by cautery. This work demonstrates the importance of understanding the post-excision kinetics of ex-vivo tissue and the presence of cautery and patent blue dye for breast tumor margin assessment, to accurately interpret data and exploit underling sources of contrast.  相似文献

Lipid-binding sites and properties were compared in the hetero-oligomeric cytochrome (cyt) b6f and the yeast bc1 complexes that function, respectively, in photosynthetic and respiratory electron transport. Seven lipid-binding sites in the monomeric unit of the dimeric cyanobacterial b6f complex overlap four sites in the Chlamydomonas reinhardtii algal b6f complex and four in the yeast bc1 complex. The proposed lipid functions include: (i) interfacial–interhelix mediation between (a) the two 8-subunit monomers of the dimeric complex, (b) between the core domain (cyt b, subunit IV) and the six trans membrane helices of the peripheral domain (cyt f, iron–sulphur protein (ISP), and four small subunits in the boundary ‘picket fence’); (ii) stabilization of the ISP domain-swapped trans-membrane helix; (iii) neutralization of basic residues in the single helix of cyt f and of the ISP; (iv) a ‘latch’ to photosystem I provided by the β-carotene chain protruding through the ‘picket fence’; (v) presence of a lipid and chlorophyll a chlorin ring in b6f in place of the eighth helix in the bc1 cyt b polypeptide. The question is posed of the function of the lipid substitution in relation to the evolutionary change between the eight and seven helix structures of the cyt b polypeptide. On the basis of the known n-side activation of light harvesting complex II (LHCII) kinase by the p-side level of plastoquinol, one possibility is that the change was directed by the selective advantage of p- to n-side trans membrane signalling functions in b6f, with the lipid either mediating this function or substituting for the trans membrane helix of a signalling protein lost in crystallization.  相似文献

Dunaliella bardawil, a β-carotene-accumulating halotolerant alga, has been analyzed for the effect of various growth conditions on its pigment content, and compared with Dunaliella salina, a β-carotene nonaccumulating species. In D. bardawil, increasing light intensity and light period or inhibiting growth by various stress conditions such as nutrient deficiency or high salt concentration caused a decrease in the content of chlorophyll per cell and an increase in the amount of β-carotene per cell. As a result, the β-carotene-to-chlorophyll ratio increased from about 0.4 to 13 grams per gram and the alga changed its visual appearance from green to deep orange. D. salina grown similarly decreased in content of both chlorophyll and β-carotene per cell and the culture turned from green to yellowish. Low chlorophyll-containing cells of D. bardawil or D. salina exhibit very high photosynthetic rates when expressed on a chlorophyll basis (~600 micromoles O2 evolved per milligram chlorophyll per hour).

Variation of pigment content in D. bardawil by a large variety of environmental agents has been correlated with the integral irradiance received by the algal culture during a division cycle. The higher the integral irradiance per division cycle, the lower the chlorophyll content per cell; the higher the β-carotene content per cell, and therefore the higher the β-carotene-to-chlorophyll ratio. The results are interpreted as indicating a protecting effect of β-carotene against injury by high irradiance under conditions of impairment in chlorophyll content per cell.

A new reversed phase-high performance liquid chromatography method has been developed to analyze the full complement of higher plant photosynthetic pigments (cis-neoxanthin, neoxanthin, violaxanthin, taraxanthin, anteraxanthin, lutein, zeaxanthin, cis-lutein, chlorophyll b, chlorophyll a, α- and β-carotene). The separation is carried out on a C18 column in about 10 minutes, using a single high-pressure pump and three different mobile phases in three isocratic steps. This method introduces a major improvement in higher plant photosynthetic pigment analysis, resolving in only 10 minutes all photosynthetic pigments while achieving good separation of lutein from its isomer zeaxanthin. Zeaxanthin is involved in the xanthophyll cycle, which recently has been proposed to play a significant role in the protection of the photosynthetic apparatus from photoinhibitory conditions (Demmig et al. [1987] Plant Physiol 84: 218-224).  相似文献

The cytochrome bc complexes b6f and bc1 catalyze proton-coupled quinol/quinone redox reactions to generate a transmembrane proton electrochemical gradient. Quinol oxidation on the electrochemically positive (p) interface of the complex occurs at the end of a narrow quinol/quinone entry/exit Qp portal, 11 Å long in bc complexes. Superoxide, which has multiple signaling functions, is a by-product of the p-side quinol oxidation. Although the transmembrane core and the chemistry of quinone redox reactions are conserved in bc complexes, the rate of superoxide generation is an order of magnitude greater in the b6f complex, implying that functionally significant differences in structure exist between the b6f and bc1 complexes on the p-side. A unique structure feature of the b6f p-side quinol oxidation site is the presence of a single chlorophyll-a molecule whose function is unrelated to light harvesting. This study describes a cocrystal structure of the cytochrome b6f complex with the quinol analog stigmatellin, which partitions in the Qp portal of the bc1 complex, but not effectively in b6f. It is inferred that the Qp portal is partially occluded in the b6f complex relative to bc1. Based on a discrete molecular-dynamics analysis, occlusion of the Qp portal is attributed to the presence of the chlorophyll phytyl tail, which increases the quinone residence time within the Qp portal and is inferred to be a cause of enhanced superoxide production. This study attributes a novel (to our knowledge), structure-linked function to the otherwise enigmatic chlorophyll-a in the b6f complex, which may also be relevant to intracellular redox signaling.  相似文献

Experimental approaches targeting carotenoid biosynthetic enzymes have successfully increased the seed β-carotene content of crops. However, linkage analysis of seed carotenoids in Arabidopsis thaliana recombinant inbred populations showed that only 21% of quantitative trait loci, including those for β-carotene, encode carotenoid biosynthetic enzymes in their intervals. Thus, numerous loci remain uncharacterized and underutilized in biofortification approaches. Linkage mapping and genome-wide association studies of Arabidopsis seed carotenoids identified CAROTENOID CLEAVAGE DIOXYGENASE4 (CCD4) as a major negative regulator of seed carotenoid content, especially β-carotene. Loss of CCD4 function did not affect carotenoid homeostasis during seed development but greatly reduced carotenoid degradation during seed desiccation, increasing β-carotene content 8.4-fold relative to the wild type. Allelic complementation of a ccd4 null mutant demonstrated that single-nucleotide polymorphisms and insertions and deletions at the locus affect dry seed carotenoid content, due at least partly to differences in CCD4 expression. CCD4 also plays a major role in carotenoid turnover during dark-induced leaf senescence, with β-carotene accumulation again most strongly affected in the ccd4 mutant. These results demonstrate that CCD4 plays a major role in β-carotene degradation in drying seeds and senescing leaves and suggest that CCD4 orthologs would be promising targets for stabilizing and increasing the level of provitamin A carotenoids in seeds of major food crops.  相似文献
