BackgroundNatural products are one of the most important sources of drugs used in pharmaceutical therapeutics. Screening of several natural products in the search for novel anticancer agents against human leukemia HL-60 cells led us to identify potent apoptosis-inducing activity in the essential oil fraction from Artemisia capillaris Thunb. flower.MethodsThe cytotoxic effects of extracts were assessed on human leukemia HL-60 cells by XTT assay. Induction of apoptosis was assessed by analysis of DNA fragmentation and nuclear morphological change. The plant name was checked with the plant list website (http://www.theplantlist.org).ResultsA purified compound from the essential oil fraction from Artemisia capillaris Thunb. flower that potently inhibited cell growth in human leukemia HL-60 cells was identified as capillin. The cytotoxic effect of capillin in cells was associated with apoptosis. When HL-60 cells were treated with 106 M capillin for 6 h, characteristic features of apoptosis such as DNA fragmentation and nuclear fragmentation were observed. Moreover, activation of c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) was detected after treatment with capillin preceding the appearance of characteristic properties of apoptosis. Release of cytochrome c from mitochondria was also observed in HL-60 cells that had been treated with capillin.ConclusionCapillin induces apoptosis in HL-60 cells via the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway, which might be controlled through JNK signaling. Our results indicate that capillin may be a potentially useful anticancer drug that could enhance therapeutic efficacy.  相似文献

The root bark of Semialarium mexicanum (Miers) Mennega (cancerina) is traditionally used in Mexico to treat cancer. However, there are no studies supporting its use. We evaluated whether S. mexicanum root bark induces cytotoxicity in breast cancer cells to determine if it has potential applications in the treatment of this disease. Extracts of S. mexicanum root bark in petroleum ether, ethanol, and water were obtained by ultrasound-assisted extraction. MTT and WST-1 assays were used to evaluate the cytotoxicity of the extracts toward breast cancer cells (MDA-MB-231 and MCF7), non-tumorigenic breast-derived cells (MCF 10A), and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs). For the extract with greatest cytotoxicity, induction of apoptosis and oxidative stress were determined using flow cytometry. The extract was fractionated, and the cytotoxicity of its fractions was evaluated with the four cell types. The fractions were also analyzed by HPLC. Only the petroleum ether extract was cytotoxic for all cell types (MDA-MB-231?>?MCF 10A/MCF7?>?PBMCs). Cell death occurred by apoptosis, which could be associated with the induction of oxidative stress. Two fractions that were highly cytotoxic for breast cancer cells were obtained from this extract (IC50?≤?4.15 µg/mL for the most active fraction at 72 h). The MCF 10A cells were less affected, while PBMCs were not affected after 72 h of treatment. Pristimerin was identified in both fractions and may be partially responsible for the cytotoxic effect. These results suggest that S. mexicanum root bark has a potential application in breast cancer treatment.  相似文献

A microwave-assisted extraction method has been developed for the extraction of phenolic compounds from the green alga, Caulerpa racemosa. An L18(3)5 orthogonal experimental array was designed to optimize the extraction conditions. Total phenolic content was determined by Folin–Ciocalteu method. Under the optimized conditions (microwave power, 200?W; ethanol concentration, 60%; extraction time, 40?min; extraction temperature, 50°C; solvent-to-material ratio, 40?mL?g?1), the maximum total phenolic content reached 67.89?±?3.88?mg 100?g?1 dried sample. The crude ethanolic extract was further purified by liquid–liquid partition to afford two fractions, of which the ethyl acetate-soluble fraction (EAF) exhibited the strongest antioxidant activity in the hydroxyl and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging assays and reducing power. EAF was further divided into four subfractions, designated as EAF1 to EAF4, by silica gel vacuum liquid chromatography. The antioxidant capacity of the subfractions was in the following order: EAF1>EAF2>EAF4>EAF3. The results of IR spectral and HPLC analysis, including the research on the correlation between antioxidant capacity and total phenolic content, suggested that phenolic compounds of medium polarity were the major contributors to the antioxidative activity of C. racemosa. The present findings might contribute to a rational basis for the use of phenolic-rich fractions and subfractions as natural antioxidants in different food/pharmaceutical products.  相似文献

BackgroundThe dried heartwood of Caesalpinia sappan L. is traditionally prescribed in the formula of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML), while nothing is yet known of the active fractions and the underlying mechanisms.PurposeThis study aims to investigate the effect of the ethyl acetate extract of the dried heartwood of Caesalpinia sappan L. (C-A-E) on induction of apoptosis and promotion of differentiation in vitro and anti-AML activity in vivo.Study design/methodsThe aqueous extract was sequentially separated with solvents of increasing polarity and the active fraction was determined through the inhibition potency. The inhibition of the active fraction on cell viability, proliferation and colony formation was performed in different AML cells. Induction of apoptosis and the promotion of differentiation were further determined. Then, the level of the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and its potential role were assessed. Finally, anti-AML activity was evaluated in NOD/SCID mice.ResultsC-A-E exhibited the highest inhibition on the cell viability of HL-60 cells. Meanwhile, C-A-E significantly suppressed the proliferation and the colony formation ability of HL-60 and Kasumi-1 cells. Moreover, C-A-E significantly induced the apoptosis, which was partially reversed by Z-VAD-FMK. C-A-E also reduced the level of mitochondrial membrane potential, promoted the release of cytochrome C, decreased the Bcl-2/Bax ratio, and promoted the cleavage of caspase-9 and -3. In addition, Mdivi-1 (mitochondrial fission blocker) remarkably reduced the apoptosis caused by C-A-E. Meanwhile, C-A-E also induced the expression of Mff and Fis1 and increased the location of Drp1 in mitochondria. Furthermore, C-A-E obviously promoted the differentiation of AML cells characterized by the typic morphological changes, the increased NBT positive cells, as well as the increased CD11b and CD14 levels. Notably, C-A-E significantly enhanced the intracellular ROS level. Moreimportantly, C-A-E-mediated apoptosis and differentiation of HL-60 cells was significantly mitigated by NAC. Additionally, C-A-E also exhibited an obvious anti-AML effect in NOD/SCID mice with the injection of HL-60 cells.ConclusionsC-A-E exhibited an inhibitory effect on AML cells by inducing mitochondrial apoptosis and promoting differentiation, both of which were highly correlated to the activation of ROS.  相似文献

In this study, Ecklonia cava was enzymatically hydrolyzed to prepare water-soluble extracts, using five carbohydrases (Viscozyme, Celluclast, AMG, Termamyl, and Ultaraflo) and five proteases (Protamex, Kojizyme, Neutase, Flavourzyme, and Alcalase), and the potential antioxidant activity of each was assessed. The Celluclast and Viscozyme extracts of E. cava evidenced good hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) scavenging activities (73.25% and 72.92%, respectively) as compared to those of other enzymatic extracts. Therefore, the Celluclast enzymatic extract was selected for use in further experiments, and separated into four different molecular weight fractions (<1, 1–10, 10–30 and >30 kDa). Among these fractions, the >30 kDa fraction manifested the most profound H2O2 scavenging activity, with a measured IC50 of 13 μg/ml. The >30 kDa fraction also strongly enhanced cell viability against H2O2-induced oxidative damage, and evidenced relatively good lipid peroxidation inhibitory activity in a Chinese hamster lung fibroblast (V79-4) cell line. This fraction also effected a reduction in the proportion of cells undergoing H2O2-induced apoptosis, as was demonstrated by a decreased quantity of sub-G1 hypodiploid cells and decreased apoptotic body formation on the flow cytometry assay. These results clearly indicate that the >30 kDa fraction of E. cava possesses good antioxidant activity against H2O2 mediated cell damage in vitro.  相似文献

The ability of water and ethanolic extracts isolated of Uncaria rhynchophylla (UR) to function as an anticancer agents was studied using HepG2 cells. The ethanolic UR extract was further fractionatedwith hexane, chloroform (CHCl3), ethyl acetate (EtOAc), n-butanol (n-BuOH), and water, and these fractions were subsequently investigated for anticancer activity. Among the fractions, the n-BuOH fraction induced apoptosis in a dose- and time-dependent manner, when determined by cell cycle analysis, Annexin V-FITC/PI double staining, and Hoechst 33342 staining. Moreover, the n-BuOH fraction induced apoptotic cell death by modulating the expression of caspase-7, caspase-8, and poly ADP ribose polymerase (PARP). These results indicated that the n-BuOH fraction from UR has strong anticancer activity in HepG2 cells and causes an upregulation of apoptotic proteins through the activation of PARP.  相似文献

A cytotoxic lectin (Viscum album L. coloratum agglutinin, VCA) from Korean mistletoe was isolated by affinity chromatography on Sepharose 4B immobilized with asialofetuin. In HL-60 cells, addition of VCA resulted in a dose- and time-dependent growth suppression, morphological changes of apoptotic nuclei, and DNA fragmentation characteristics of apoptosis. To investigate how caspase-3 activation during VCA-induced apoptosis induces cleavages of PARP, the expression of PARP and the pattern of caspase-3 activation in HL-60 cells were investigated. The native and processed PARP forms typically seen in apoptotic cells were observed, and a decrease in expression of the 32-kDa form of caspase-3 in a dose-dependent manner was observed. The VCA-induced apoptosis was significantly inhibited by a caspase-3 specific inhibitor, z-DEVD-FMK, and the PARP processing and caspase-3 activation were also inhibited by the inhibitor. A possible involvement of cell cycle arrest in VCA-induced apoptosis was investigated by flow cytometry and the results suggested that the apoptotic effect of VCA is not involved in the induction of cell cycle arrest.  相似文献

Changes in activities of acid invertase and sucrose synthaseduring growth of mung bean seedlings were examined and the correlationbetween the activity of acid invertase and growth was confirmed.Acid invertase was purified from hypocotyls of etiolated seedlingsand separated into two fractions (A and B) by chromatographyon hydroxylapatite. Acid invertase in fraction B consisted oftwo polypeptides of 30 kDa and 38 kDa, but that in fractionA was 70 kDa in size. Antibodies raised against the 30-kDa polypeptideimmunoprecipitated enzymatic activity but those raised againstthe 38-kDa polypeptide did not. The concanavalin A-binding siteof acid invertase was contained in the 38-kDa polypeptide andnot in the 30-kDa polypeptide. However, when acid invertasewas bound to and eluted from concanavalin A-Sepharose, the 30-kDapolypeptide was found together with the 38-kDa polypeptide inthe eluate. Acid invertase in hypocotyls of mung bean seedlingsappears to be present in two forms: a monomer of 70 kDa anda hetero-dimer of 30-kDa and 38-kDa polypeptides. The monomerwas not converted to the heterodimer during incubation of acrude extract and was present together with the heterodimerin very young hypocotyls. In older hypocotyls, the heterodimerwas present but the monomer was barely detectable. We concludethat the two forms of acid invertase are present within cells, but the relationship between the two forms is unknown at present. (Received July 18, 1991; Accepted October 9, 1991)  相似文献

Colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer death worldwide and is the third most common form of malignancy in both men and women. Several possible colon cancer chemopreventive agents are found in edible plants. Amorphophallus campanulatus (Roxb.) Blume (family: Araceae) is a tuber crop, largely cultivated throughout the plains of India for using its corm as food. This tuber has also been traditionally used for the treatment of abdominal tumors, liver diseases, piles etc. The aim of this study was to evaluate the dose-dependent cytotoxic and apoptosis inducing effects of the sub fractions of A. campanulatus tuber methanolic extract (ACME) viz. petroleum ether fraction (PEF), chloroform fraction (CHF), ethyl acetate fraction (EAF) and methanolic fraction (MEF) on the colon cancer cell line, HCT-15. Antiproliferative effects of the sub fractions of ACME were studied by MTT assay. Apoptotic activity was assessed by DAPI, Annexin V-FITC and JC-1 fluorescent staining. The chemotherapeutic drug, 5-flurouracil (5-FU) was used as positive drug control. The sub fractions of ACME significantly inhibited the proliferation of HCT-15 cells in a dose-dependent manner. In addition, the extracts were found to induce apoptosis and were confirmed by DAPI, Annexin V-FITC and JC-1 fluorescent staining. A pronounced results of cytotoxic and apoptotic activities were observed in the cells treated with 5-FU and CHF, whereas, EAF and MEF treated cells exhibited a moderate result and the least effect was observed in PEF treated cells. Our results suggested that, among the sub fractions of ACME, CHF had potent cytotoxic and apoptotic activity and thus it could be explored as a novel target for anticancer drug development. Furthermore, these findings confirm that the sub fractions of ACME dose-dependently suppress the proliferation of HCT-15 cells by inducing apoptosis.  相似文献

Polyalthia longifolia is a lofty evergreen tree found in India and Sri Lanka. We are reporting first time the anticancer potential of P. longifolia leaves extract (A001) and its chloroform fraction (F002). Both inhibited cell proliferation of various human cancer cell lines in which colon cancer cells SW-620 showed maximum inhibition with IC(50) value 6.1 microg/ml. Furthermore, F002 induce apoptosis in human leukemia HL-60 cells as measured by several biological end points. F002 induce apoptotic bodies formation, DNA ladder, enhanced annexin-V-FITC binding of the cells, increased sub-G(0) DNA fraction, loss of mitochondrial membrane potential (DeltaPsi(mt)), release of cytochrome c, activation of caspase-9, caspase-3, and cleavage of poly ADP ribose polymerase (PARP) in HL-60 cells. All the above parameters revealed that F002-induced apoptosis through the mitochondrial-dependent pathway in HL-60 cells.  相似文献

The present study was designated to evaluate the antioxidant, antibacterial and antischistosomal activities of Grateloupia livida (GL) extracts in vitro. A GL Ethanol extract (EE) was separated into petroleum ether (PE), ethyl acetate (EA), n-butyl alcohol (BuOH) and aqueous (AQ) fractions to fractionate the polar and non-polar compounds in the EE. Extracts antioxidant activities were evaluated in vitro by DPPH radical-scavenging, deoxyribose radical scavenging, and β-carotene bleaching assays, all using butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) as the reference antioxidant compound. The most effective antioxidant properties were observed in the PE fraction in all three assays. Antimicrobial testing showed that the PE fraction exhibited broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, with the PE fraction also exhibiting strong activity against the human pathogenic trematode S. japonicum adult worm. In order to investigate the relationships between bioactivity and chemical composition, the chemical composition of the PE fraction was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). In total, 25 components were identified in the PE fraction, most of which have known antioxidant and antimicrobial activities. However, none of the compounds have reported activity against Schistosoma, suggesting that the schistosomicidal activity of the PE fraction may be related to minor constituents present in the extract, or governed by more intricate synergistic or additive relationships. Finally, fractions with the greatest biological activity displayed neither cellular cytotoxicity, at concentrations up to 100 ug/ml, or acute oral toxicity in mice, at doses up to 2000 mg/kg. Based on antioxidant, antimicrobial, antischistosomal activities, and low toxicity, the PE fraction possesses properties useful for food preservation and overall improvement of human health.  相似文献

Sarcoplasmic proteins isolated from bovine livers were hydrolyzed using the enzyme thermolysin at 37 ?C for 2 h. The hydrolyzates were filtered through molecular weight cut off membranes (MWCO) and filtrates were obtained. The water activity (aw) of unhydrolysed sarcoplasmic protein, full hydrolyzates, 10-kDa and 3-kDa filtrates were below the limit necessary for microbial growth. The antioxidant activities of both filtrates and fractions were assessed using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity assay, the ferric ion reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assay and the Fe2+ chelating ability assay. RP-HPLC was used for purification of the full hydrolyzates, the 10-kDa and the 3-kDa filtrates. The peptidic content of the full hydrolyzates, the 10-kDa and the 3-kDa filtrates were assessed using the Dumas method and peptide contents of each fraction were characterized using electrospray quadrupole time-of-flight (ESI-Q-TOF) mass spectrometry with the resultant spectrum analysed using the software programmes Protein Lynx Global Server 2.4. and TurboSEQUEST. Similarities between the amino acid composition of characterized peptides from each fraction and previously reported antioxidant peptides were found. This study demonstrates that meat by-product such as liver can be utilised as raw material for the generation of bioactive peptides with demonstrated antioxidant activities in vitro using the enzyme thermolysin. It is significant as it presents a potential opportunity for meat processors to use their waste streams for the generation of bioactive peptides for potential functional food use.  相似文献

The cytosolic factor Cif (cytochrome c-efflux inducing factor) was activated by the apoptosis inducers staurosporine and anti-Fas antibodies and rapidly induced the efflux of cytochrome c from purified human mitochondria. HL-60 cells that stably overexpressed a bcl-2 cDNA transgene (Bcl-2:HL-60 cells) contained mitochondria and a cytosol that were resistant to exogenous Cif and that lacked detectable endogenous Cif activity, respectively. Therefore, Bcl-2 overexpression negated Cif activity and suggested that the requirement for Cif resides upstream of Bcl-2 on the apoptotic signal transduction pathway. The addition of purified caspase 3, caspase 7, or caspase 8 to the cytosolic extract from Bcl-2:HL-60 cells, however, restored Cif activity, demonstrating that the inhibition of Cif by Bcl-2 overexpression could be overcome by activated caspases. Moreover, the addition of purified caspases to cytosolic extracts prepared from parental HL-60 cells was also sufficient to cause Cif activation, suggesting that caspases might be required for Cif activation. Consistent with these observations, Fas-induced apoptosis in Jurkat cells resulted in caspase 8 activation and subsequently in activation of Cif. Finally, we demonstrate that the activation of Cif correlated with the activation of the Bcl-2 family member Bid by caspases and that Cif activity was selectively neutralized by anti-Bid antibodies. Taken together, these results indicate that Cif is identical to Bid and that it can be inhibited by Bcl-2 and activated by caspases. Thus, Cif (Bid) is an important biological regulator for the transduction of apoptotic signals.  相似文献

Stem bark of Oroxylum indicum (L) (SBOI) is used by ethnic communities of North East India as health tonic and in treating diseases of humans and animals. The objective of this research was to carry out a detailed investigation including total phenolic and flavonoid content, antioxidant, antimicrobial, cytotoxic and apoptotic activities of different solvent extracts of SBOI and to establish correlation between some parameters. Among petroleum ether (PE), dichloromethane and methanol (MeOH) extract of SBOI, MeOH extract contained the highest amount of total phenolic (320.7 ± 34.6 mg Gallic acid equivalent/g extract) and flavonoid (346.6 ± 15.2 mg Quercetin equivalent/g extract) content. In vitro antioxidant activity (IC50 22.7 μg/ml) was highest in MeOH extract (p > 0.05) and also a significant inverse correlation was observed between phenolic (r = 0.886)/flavonoid (r = 0.764) content and corresponding DPPH IC50. Only MeOH extract inhibited both bacteria and fungi. Although, individual extract showed cytotoxicity on HeLa cells with characteristic features of apoptosis, PE extract caused maximum cytotoxicity (IC50 of 112.3 μg/ml, p < 0.05) and apoptotic activity (33.2 % sub-G0/G1 population) on HeLa cells. But, there was a significant non-inverse correlation of the MTT IC50 with total phenolic (r = 0.812, p < 0.05)/flavonoid (r = 0.998, p < 0.05) content in the three solvent extracts. TLC analysis showed three unique compounds in PE extract which may have a role in apoptosis mediated cytotoxicity. These results called for futher chemical characterisation of MeOH and PE extract of SBOI for specific bioactivity.  相似文献

Some characteristics of U-937 and HL-60 leukemia cell lines treated with a fraction of non-dialyzable extract of spinach are reported. The absorbed fraction separated by a DEAE-Tyopearl 650 column chromatography of the non-dialyzable extract induced NBT reducing activity of U-937 and HL-60 cells. This fraction also induced substrate adhesion of U-937 cells, and the non-specific esterase activity of HL-60 cells. The expression of CD11b, CD11c and CD36 antigens on the U-937 cell surface was enhanced by the treatment with the fraction, whereas CD24 antigen was not. The treatment of HL-60 cells with the fraction also induced the expression of CD11b and CD11c antigens, but CD24 and CD36 were not expressed. These results indicated that the non-dialyzable extract of spinach induced immature differentiation of U-937 and HL-60 cells into monocyte/macrophages.Abbreviations NBT nitroblue tetrazolium - TPA 12-O-tetradecanoyl-phorbol-13-acerate - PBS phosphate buffered saline - FITC fluorescein isothiocyanate  相似文献

To investigate the behavior of nuclear proteins in apoptotic cells, we examined the changes in nucleolin and proteins of the nucleolar organizing region during apoptosis in human osteoblastic cell lines, Saos-2 and MG63. Apoptosis was induced by treatment of these cells with okadaic acid. Proteins prepared from apoptotic cells were subjected to Western blot analysis and a modified Western blot method using silver nitrate. The anti-nucleolin antibody recognized the 110-kDa band and the staining intensity of this band decreased in the proteins prepared from the okadaic acid-treated apoptotic cells. The additional band of an 80-kDa was also detected in the proteins prepared from the apoptotic cells. Two major silver nitrate-stained bands, 110-kDa and 37-kDa, were detected among the proteins obtained from control cells. Like the Western blot analysis, the intensity of the 110-kDa silver nitrate-staining band decreased; an 80-kDa band appeared and its staining intensity increased in the lysate from the okadaic acid-treated cells. The signal intensity of the 37-kDa protein did not change in the sample from the apoptotic cells. In a cell-free apoptotic system, the 80-kDa protein was also detected and the amount of the 110-kDa protein decreased in the extract of Saos-2 cell nuclei incubated with apoptotic cytosol. The change in nucleolin in Saos-2 cells induced to undergo apoptosis was examined by an immunocytochemical procedure using the anti-nucleolin antibody and Hoechst 33342. Nucleolin was visible as dots in nucleoli in the control cells; however, it was not detected in the cells undergoing apoptosis. The dual-exposure view of Hoechst 33342 and anti-nucleolin staining cells confirmed that nucleolin had disappeared from the apoptotic nuclei of Saos-2.  相似文献

The antioxidant and anticancer properties of a medicinal plant, Betula platyphylla var. japonica were investigated. The total methanol extract of B. platyphylla var. japonica had protective effects against hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in the Chinese hamster lung fibroblast (V79-4) cell line and induced apoptotic cell death in human promyelocytic leukemia (HL-60) cells, a cancer cell line. B. platyphylla var. japonica extract significantly increased cell viability against H2O2. The extract also showed high 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity (IC50 2.4 microg/ml) and lipid peroxidation inhibitory activity (IC50 below 4.0 microg/ml). Furthermore, B. platyphylla var. japonica extract reduced the number of V79-4 cells arrested in G2/M in response to H2O2 treatment and increased the activities of several cellular antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase, catalase and glutathione peroxidase. Treatment with B. platyphylla var. japonica extract induced cytotoxicity and apoptosis in HL-60 cells, as shown by nucleosomal DNA fragmentation, increases in the subdiploid cell population, and fluorescence microscopy. B. platyphylla var. japonica extract gradually increased the expression of pro-apoptotic Bax and led to the activation of caspase-3 and cleavage of PARP. These findings suggest that B. platyphylla var. japonica exhibits potential antioxidant and anticancer properties.  相似文献

Two non-polar fractions viz. hexane (Hex-LI) and chloroform fraction (CHCl3-LI) of Lawsonia inermis were studied for their antiproliferative potential in various cancer cell lines viz. HeLa, MCF-7, A549 and C6 glioma cells. Both the fractions showed more than 60 % of growth inhibition in all the tested cell lines at highest tested concentration. In clonogenic assay, different concentrations of Hex-LI and CHCl3-LI decreased the number and size of colonies as compared to control in HeLa cells. The apoptotic effects as nuclear condensation, fragmentation were visualized with Hoechst-33342 staining of HeLa cells using confocal microscope. Both fractions induced apoptotic cell death in human cervical carcinoma (HeLa) cells as evident from flow cytometric analysis carried out using Annexin V-FITC and propidium iodide dyes. CHCl3-LI treated cells significantly induced apoptosis (25.43 %) in comparison to control. Results from Neutral Comet assay demonstrated that both fractions induced double stranded breaks (DSB’s) in HeLa cells. Our data indicated that Hex-LI and CHCl3-LI treated cells showed significant increase of 32.2 and 18.56 % reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels in DCFH-DA assay respectively. Further, experimental studies to decipher exact pathway via which these fractions induce cell death are in progress.  相似文献
