柴达木盆地东部晚上新切一全新世湖相沉积巨厚,无明显间断,微体化石丰富。区内已建厚度超过2000m的第四系磁性柱中,记录了布容,松山和高斯极性时带。由于有剖面上部的同位素测年数据和剖面中,下中的介形类化石带序列的对比成果配合验证,布容,松山极性时下限的确定和布拉克,莫纳,琵琶湖,奥尔杜威,马默思等亚级性时的鉴别依据充足可信。  相似文献

渤海晚冰期以来环境变化的化石介形类证据   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
对渤海中央盆地B92-3孔(芯长420cm)、B92-1孔(芯长420cm)以及莱州湾B92-2孔(芯长330cm)柱状样进行了介形类属种、丰度和分异度分析,并将B92-3孔和B92-1孔的介形类划分出6个组合带。根据渤、黄海地区不同沉积环境中现代介形类的分布,将剖面中的介形类分成滨岸-河口区的Sinocytheridea组合和近岸区的Munseyella组合。按照地层14C年代以及剖面中Sinocytheridea组合分子和Munseyella组合分子的相对丰度变化,讨论了渤海晚冰期后期以来的古环境演化历史:晚冰期为河流、湖沼环境;大约10000aB.P.开始海侵,早全新世属滨岸-河口沉积;8700aB.P.前后开始水深加大,盐度提高;2400aBP以后水深逐渐降低。  相似文献

腾格里沙漠晚更新世断头梁剖面分析出介形类7属7种,分别为Limnocythereinopinata,Darwinulastevensoni,Candonaneglecta,Cyprideistorosa,Ilyocyprisgibba,Cyclocyprisserena,?Neocypridopsissp.,其中Limnocythereinopinata和Darwinulastevensoni为优势种。根据丰度、分异度及百分含量变化情况,研究剖面划分出四个介形类组合,进一步结合年代数据、沉积物及孢粉资料识别出四个气候期。距今约42000-23000年间研究区总的气候特征是温暖湿润,间有几次幅度较小的变冷期;介形类显示出淡水至中盐水环境,这一特征持续整个沉积时期,没有出现干旱期。  相似文献

New data are provided on the ostracode fauna of the Middle Neopleistocene to Holocene of the southeastern West Siberian Plain. Several species are recorded for the first time in the West Siberian Plain: Fabaeformiscandona aff. hyalina (Brady et Robertson), F. harmsworthi Scott, F. holzkampfi Hartwig, Pseudocandona insculpta Müller, Candona weltneri Hartwig, C. inaequivalvis Sars, and C. muelleri jacutica Pietrzeniuk. New evidence is presented on the distribution of the species Pseudocandona stagnalis Sars, Eucypris pigra (Fischer), Dolerocypris fasciata Fischer, Cyclocypris ovum Müller, and C. triangula Negadaev. New species, Candona kazminae sp. nov. and Ilyocypris pustulata sp. nov., are described. The study resulted in establishing the Late Karginian ostracode association.  相似文献

A continental stratigraphy column covering the Pliocene and Early Pleistocene in SE Shanxi, China has been studied using pollen analysis, ten pollen zones are defined with their correlation to magnetic polarity and 10Be datings. The vegetational development and climatic changes during the period from 5.1 Ma to 1.8 Ma BP are discussed. Picea became a dominant component of the pollen assemblage in the Early Pliocene. Subtropical components such as Carya and Liquidambar occur in the Pliocene pollen spectra. The palaeoclimate of the Pliocene was moist and relatively warm, though a trend towards a colder and drier climate is reflected. Around 2.3 Ma BP the prevailing forest turned into a type of steppe and the subtropical components basically migrated out of the area. The Pliocene-Pleistocene boundary is also discussed using palynostratigraphy. It seems reasonable to place the Pliocene-Pleistocene boundary close to the Gauss-matuyama magnetic boundary.  相似文献

Vegetation and climate changes of Late Miocene-Early Pliocene have been deduced based on pollen research from Wenwanggou and Xiaoshigou sections near Leijiahe village (ca 35°04′15″N,107°43′30″E). The two sections are quite famous of rich micromammalian fossils. Before ca. 6.5 Ma, open forest-grassland was distributed in the studied area indicating a temperate and humid condition at that time. In the period between ca.6.5 and 5.8 Ma BP (Late Miocene) predominance of Chenopodiaceae and Artemisia implies that desert or desert-grassland was developed in the area and the climate should be cold and dry. During the time interval from ca.5.8 to 3.4 Ma BP mixed conifer and broad leaved deciduous forest with a few subtropical tree taxa had replaced the arid desert vegetation indicating a warm and humid climate. The climate aridity event of Late Miocene can be correlated with the global climatic event.  相似文献

Differentiation of genera of the modern (Late Miocene to Recent) South American rodent family Ctenomyidae would have been linked to the acquisition of disparate adaptations to digging and life underground. In accordance with this hypothesis, the delimitation of lineages and genera in the ctenomyid fossil record is evaluated here following an adaptation-rooted criterion that involves both an assessment of the monophyly and of the adaptive profiles of recognized clades. The application of such a criterion, including morphofunctional information, delimited four cohesive lineages among crown ctenomyids (i.e. euhypsodont species of the Late Miocene to Recent): Eucelophorus (Early Pliocene–Middle Pleistocene), Xenodontomys-Actenomys (Late Miocene–Pliocene), Praectenomys (Pliocene) and Ctenomys (including Paractenomys ; Pliocene–Recent); in addition, the results supported the status of Xenodontomys as a paraphyletic ancestor of Actenomys . The cladogenesis that gave rise to the crown group would have occurred immediately after the acquisition of euhypsodonty in a Xenodontomys simpsoni -like ancestor during the Late Miocene. This putative ancestor would have had fossorial habits and moderate digging specializations, an adaptive profile maintained in Xenodontomys-Actenomys . Eucelophorus and Ctenomys would have independently evolved subterranean habits at least since the Pliocene. Although the earliest history of the only living representative, Ctenomys , is known only fragmentarily, remains from Esquina Blanca (Uquía Formation), in north-western Argentina, suggest a minimum age of around 3.5 Ma (Early–Late Pliocene) for the differentiation of the genus. The Qaidam basin is a large basin in western China where the thickness of Quaternary deposits has a range of 2000–3000 m at its subsiding depocentre. This study investigated the chronology of the Quaternary deposits, including palaeomagnetics, biostratigraphic correlation, rates of sediment accumulation, seismic reflection surveys and electrical property correlations. The results give a full interpretation of ages for the sequence from bottom to top. The oldest sequence age was defined by the first appearance of Microlimnocythere sinensis Huang, and was placed in the Gauss Epoch, estimated at approximately 3 Ma by extrapolation of accumulation rates. The M/G boundary occurs at the base of the third fossil zone of Ostracoda (the first appearance of Qinghaicypris crassa Huang), or at the marker layer K10 of the electrical log in the Sebei anticline area, considered here to be 2.48 Ma. The Olduvai event in the fifth fossil zone, spanning electrical layers K4 and K3 in the Sebei area, occurs at reflection layer T0−1 of seismic stratigraphy which could be stratigraphically correlated in the whole basin. The boundary of Early/Middle Pleistocene such as the Brunhes and Matsuyama (B/M) boundary, falls within the eighth fossil zone and coincides with electrical marker K01. Two boundaries corresponding to Middle/Late Pleistocene and Pleistocene/Holocene occur at the bases of the 11th and 12th biozones respectively, neither of which can be correlated with seismic stratigraphy and electrical logs in the basin due to the lack of widely distributed lacustrine deposits since the Middle Pleistocene. The ages of the boundaries can be tested by deposition rates of different facies derived from the varves and synchronous deposits. As a result, geochronological sequences of subsurface stratigraphy could be established within a basin-wide area on the synchronology of seismic reflectors and correlations of electrical logs as well as biozones.  相似文献

The analysis of planktic foraminiferal assemblages from Site 1090 (ODP Leg 177), located in the central part of the Subantarctic Zone south of South Africa, provided a geochronology of a 330-m-thick sequence spanning the Middle Eocene to Early Pliocene. A sequence of discrete bioevents enables the calibration of the Antarctic Paleogene (AP) Zonation with lower latitude biozonal schemes for the Middle–Late Eocene interval. In spite of the poor recovery of planktic foraminiferal assemblages, a correlation with the lower latitude standard planktic foraminiferal zonations has been attempted for the whole surveyed interval. Identified bioevents have been tentatively calibrated to the geomagnetic polarity time scale following the biochronology of Berggren et al. (1995). Besides planktic foraminiferal bioevents, the disappearance of the benthic foraminifera Nuttallides truempyi has been used to approximate the Middle/Late Eocene boundary. A hiatus of at least 11.7 Myr occurs between 78 and 71 m composite depth extending from the Early Miocene to the latest Miocene–Early Pliocene. Middle Eocene assemblages exhibit a temperate affinity, while the loss of several planktic foraminiferal species by late Middle to early Late Eocene time reflects cooling. During the Late Eocene–Oligocene intense dissolution caused impoverishment of planktic foraminiferal assemblages possibly following the emplacement of cold, corrosive bottom waters. Two warming peaks are, however, observed: the late Middle Eocene is marked by the invasion of the warmer water Acarinina spinuloinflata and Hantkenina alabamensis at 40.5 Ma, while the middle Late Eocene experienced the immigration of some globigerinathekids including Globigerinatheka luterbacheri and Globigerinatheka cf. semiinvoluta at 34.3 Ma. A more continuous record is observed for the Early Miocene and the Late Miocene–Early Pliocene where planktic foraminiferal assemblages show a distinct affinity with southern mid- to high-latitude faunas.  相似文献

Two hominid upper central incisors found in the Yuanmou Basin in southwest China in 1965 have affinities with Homo erectus fossils from Zhoukoudian, but exhibit primitive features. The Yuanmou hominid remains are alleged to be coeval with or older than African specimens dated at about 1.8 m.y.a. Recent age refinements of geomagnetic short reversal events and excursions permit assigning the Yuanmou hominid-bearing bed to the early Brunhes chron (about 0.7 m.y.a.). Magnetochronological assessments confirm that the Lantian calotte which has been dated to about 1.2 m.y.a., is the oldest reliable evidence for the emergence of Homo in eastern Asia as well as China, and that hominid fossils from Sangiran and Mojokerto, Java, do not exceed 1.1 Ma in age. These results refute the view that the genus Homo migrated into eastern Asia in the late Pliocene or the earliest Pleistocene.  相似文献

Relations between modern ostracode assemblages and environmental variables from lakes in the southwest Yukon and northern British Columbia were explored. A total of 29 freshwater species representing 8 genera were identified from the sediments of 36 lakes, with the number of species ranging between 3 and 8 per lake. Species widespread throughout the study area include Cyclocypris ampla, Candona candida, Cypria turneri, Cypria ophtalmica, and Candona protzi. The Mg/Ca ratio is an important factor determining the ostracode species composition of a lake. Species richness is at a maximum when the lake water has intermediate values of conductivity. Lakes in which one species clearly dominates the assemblage (‰>‰70% relative abundance) have water saturated with respect to CaCO3. Mg/Ca ratio, depth and Sr are the environmental factors that are most highly correlated with species distributions in this region.  相似文献
