Abstract:  The weevil Scyphophorus acupunctatus Gyllenhal (Col., Curculionidae) is the most important insect pest of cultivated agaves in Mexico. The objective of this study was to search for potential attractants for this weevil species from the freshly cut fleshy leaves of healthy Agave tequilana Weber var. Blue plants. Combined gas chromatography-electroantennography (GC-EAD) analysis of A. tequilana volatile extracts showed that seven peaks elicited antennal responses from males and females. Five of these peaks were identified by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) as o -xylene, α -pinene, 3-carene, γ -terpinene and linalool. Electroantennogram (EAG) records of both sexes to 1-, 10- and 100- μ g-stimulus load of these five compounds showed that there was a dose effect on the EAG responses for linalool, 3-carene and α -pinene, but not for γ -terpinene and o -xylene. There were no sexual differences between male and female EAG responses to any of the compounds tested. Y-tube olfactometer bioassays of the compounds showed that males and females were attracted to α -pinene, 3-carene, γ -terpinene and/or linalool at doses of 1 and 10  μ g, while weevils were repelled by linalool at a dose of 100  μ g.  相似文献

Female Mediterranean fruit flies (medfly) Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann) (Diptera: Tephritidae) perceive both qualitative and quantitative aspects of citrus fruit chemistry. However, the behavioural and biological adjustments of this response remain largely unknown. In the present study, the ovipositional responses of gravid female medflies to essential oils (i.e. the most critical resistance factor to medfly infestation) of various citrus fruits are investigated. In dual‐choice (treatment versus distilled water control) experiments, females lay significantly more eggs into pre‐punctured hollow oviposition hemispheres (domes) provided with 1 µL of citrus peel oil from sweet orange, satsuma mandarin, bitter orange, grapefruit and lemon compared with odourless domes. No‐choice tests show a weak effect of lemon essential oils in stimulating oviposition. The female ovipositional response to sweet orange oil (the most active in eliciting oviposition) is dose‐dependent. Additionally, limonene, the most abundant chemical in all citrus oils, stimulates oviposition, whereas linalool, a representative compound of immature citrus fruit associated with high toxicity against immature stages of fruit flies, has a significant deterrent effect. In further no‐choice tests, females lay approximately 23% fewer eggs in limonene (93%) (amount found in orange oil) and 60% fewer eggs in limonene 93% plus linalool 3% (approximately 10‐fold the amount found in orange oil) mixtures, relative to sweet orange oil. The results suggest that the limonene content accounts largely (but not completely) for the ovipositional responses observed in sweet orange oil, whereas high linalool proportions are capable of significantly masking and/or disrupting its stimulatory effects in citrus oils. The importance and practical implications of these findings with respect to understanding how citrus fruit chemistry influences the ovipositional responses of medfly is discussed.  相似文献

研究结果表明 :飞机草挥发油在中等浓度 (80 0mg·l-1)时 ,对水稻稻瘟病菌 (Pryiculariagrisea)的抑制作用最强 ,对长春花疫病菌 (Phytophthoranicotianae)的抑制作用次之 ,对香蕉枯萎病菌(Fusariumoxysporum)的抑制作用最弱 ,其抑菌率分别为 6 1.4 0 %、2 9.2 7%和 14 .4 4 %。用 10~ 2 0 μl·株 -1的飞机草挥发油 ,对小菜蛾 (Plutellaxylostella)和黄曲条跳甲 (Phyllotretastriolata)有显著的驱避产卵作用。用GC/MS详细分析了飞机草挥发油的化学成分 ,共鉴定了 33个化合物。主要成分是萜类化合物 ,如反式 石竹烯 (16 5 8% )、δ 杜松烯 (15 .85 % )、α 可巴烯 (11.5 8% )、氧化石竹烯 (9.6 3% )、大根香叶烯 (4.96 % )和α 律草烯 (4.32 % )。  相似文献

研究了香茅Cymbopogon nardus精油对桔小实蝇Bactrocera dorsalis (Hendel)的产卵驱避作用及其化学成分。结果表明,香茅精油对桔小实蝇产卵具有一定的驱避作用,不同浓度香茅精油处理芒果上的产卵量均显著低于对照,且随着香茅精油浓度的提高其产卵量逐渐减少,当浓度为10000μg/mL时,产卵驱避率为70.06%。采用气相色谱—质谱联用(GC-MS)技术分析了香茅精油的化学成份,结果发现该精油挥发物中含量较高的是3-蒈烯,香茅醛,香叶醇,香茅醇,柠檬烯。  相似文献

【目的】探讨入侵杂草薇甘菊Mikania micrantha对棕榈害虫红脉穗螟Tirathaba rufivena的产卵忌避活性。【方法】采用室内生物测定法,研究薇甘菊不同溶剂提取物对红脉穗螟的产卵忌避作用和杀卵活性。【结果】产卵忌避试验结果表明,薇甘菊各提取物中,以正己烷和三氯甲烷提取物对红脉穗螟的产卵忌避效果最好,两者的选择性忌避率分别为43.64%和44.20%,非选择性忌避率分别为51.60%和59.20%。对卵孵化率的影响显示,各溶剂提取物均对红脉穗螟具有一定的杀卵活性,其中三氯甲烷提取物对卵孵化率的影响最大,校正孵化率最低,仅为53.39%,而且三氯甲烷提取物引起的1龄幼虫的死亡率最高,可达42.64%。在薇甘菊三氯甲烷提取物的不同溶剂萃取物中,正丁醇萃取物对红脉穗螟的产卵忌避和杀卵活性均显著高于其他溶剂萃取物。【结论】薇甘菊提取物具有一定的产卵忌避和杀卵活性,具有用于红脉穗螟的生态防控的潜力。  相似文献

用GC/MS分析和薇甘菊挥发油的化学成分,共鉴定了22个化 的,单萜和倍半萜及其醇和酮的衍生物是其主要成分,并研究了薇甘菊挥发油对昆虫的生物活性,结果表明,在5-10μl·株^-1的用量时,它对小菜蛾、黄曲条跳甲和猿叶虫有显著的产卵驱避作用,同时也具有一定的触杀毒力,在500、750、1000mg·L^-1浓度时,对萝卜蚜的校正虫口减退率分别为50.0%、59.86%和62.51%,然而,在500mg·L^-1浓度时,对萝卜蚜、小菜蛾和黄曲条跳甲等不同受试虫态却无熏蒸毒杀作用。  相似文献

The oviposition deterrent properties of pine oil (Norpine 65, Northwest Petrochemicals, Anacortes, Washington) for the onion maggot, Delia antiqua (Meigen), were verified using a two-choice bioassay with onion oil as an attractive control. The principal deterrent property of this pine oil was found to reside in three monoterpenes, 3-carene, limonene, and p-cymene, which were the primary constituents identified in the most deterrent of two fractions made by preparative gas chromatography of steam-distilled pine oil. At release rates of 220, 320 and 320 g per 24 h in two-choice bioassays these monoterpenes respectively caused 73.2, 65.4 and 56.3% deterrency of oviposition, while the ternary mixture released at 320 g per 24 h caused 88.6% deterrency. The ternary mixture also caused 62.5% deterrency in a no-choice bioassay. Of eight other monoterpenes tested, myrcene, -phellandrene, -terpinene, -phellandrene, -terpinene, terpinolene, and -pinene were significantly deterrent in declining order, while -pinene was inactive. The ternary mixture was released from glass capillary tubes or flexible plastic cylinders in further bioassays that challenged caged females to oviposit around the base of 35 potted onion seedlings with release devices placed on the soil surface. The most effective deterrency (85.3%) was achieved at a release rate of 280 g per 24 h per pot if plastic cylinder devices were deployed 24 h before the treated pot was exposed to D. antiqua females. If female D. antiqua were given only a treated pot, deterrency of oviposition on potted onion seedlings was significant, but low (11.7–63.2%). Because of incomplete efficacy, a monoterpene-based deterrent formulation would be best used operationally if combined with other deterrents, or if it were integrated with some other tactic.  相似文献

In order to make clear the functions of plant volatile organic compounds (VOCs) on bacteriostasis and air decontamination, we analyzed the composition and content of VOCs in Pinus tabulaeformis Carr., P. bungeana Zucc., Sabina chinensis Antoine, Picea koraiensis Nakai, and Cedrus deodara G. Don under near-natural conditions using the thermal-desorption cold trap gas chromatography/mass spectrometer technique. The effects of the VOCs on airborne microorganisms were investigated using the method of natural sedimentation. Results showed that the major VOCs were as follows: limonene, β-pinene, α-pinene,and α-caryophyllene in Pinus tabulaeformis and P. bungeana; limonene, borneol acetate, β-pinene, myrcene, and tricylene in S. chinensis; limonene, α-pinene, myrcene, camphene, and β-pinene in Picea koraiensis; and limonene, 2, (10)-pinene, α-pinene, and myrcene in C. deodara. These VOCs and the corresponding foliar extracts inhibited the growth of bacteria and stimulated the growth of fungi. Experimental data using monomers of the VOCs demonstrated that limonene, β-pinene, and three aldehydes could significantly inhibit bacterial growth, suggesting an inhibitory effect of VOCs on the growth of airborne microorganisms in the five conifer species. The bacteriostasis and air-decontaminating effects of plant VOCs are further discussed in terms of their chemical composition.  相似文献

Abstract:  The oviposition behaviour and response of adult females of Monochamus alternatus to short lengths (bolts) of Pinus massoniana trunks treated with hexane extracts of larval frass of M. alternatus was investigated in the laboratory. Females gnawed significantly fewer oviposition scars, and deposited significantly fewer eggs, on extract-treated bolts than on control bolts. These results suggest the presence of a possible oviposition deterrent in larval frass of M. alternatus . Hexane extracts of larval frass were analysed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry, and α -pinene, β -pinene, 3-carene, limonene, longifolene and butylated hydroxytoluene were identified. Experiments with synthetic mixtures indicated that a mixture of monoterpenes and butylated hydroxytoluene exhibited oviposition-deterring activity.  相似文献

Tea tree oil, or the essential oil of Melaleuca alternifolia , is becoming increasingly popular as a naturally occurring antimicrobial agent. The antimicrobial activity of eight components of tea tree oil was evaluated using disc diffusion and broth microdilution methods. Attempts were also made to overcome methodological problems encountered with testing compounds which have limited solubility in aqueous media. After assessing media with and without solubilizing agents, the disc diffusion method was used to determine the susceptibility of a range of micro-organisms to 1,8-cineole, 1-terpinen-4-ol, ρ-cymene, linalool, α-terpinene, γ-terpinene, α-terpineol and terpinolene. While the disc diffusion method lacked reproducibility, it was considered useful as a procedure for screening for antimicrobial activity. Terpinen-4-ol was active against all the test organisms while ρ-cymene demonstrated no antimicrobial activity. Linalool and α-terpineol were active against all organisms with the exception of Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Minimum inhibitory and minimum cidal concentrations of each component against Candida albicans, Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus were determined using a broth microdilution method. Modifications to this method overcame solubility and turbidity problems associated with the oil components and allowed the antimicrobial activity of each of the components to be quantified reproducibly. There was reasonable agreement between minimum inhibitory concentrations and zones of inhibition. These results may have significant implications for the future development of tea tree oil as an antimicrobial agent.  相似文献

对外来松树害虫红脂大小蠹Dendroctonus valens LeConte的信息化学物质进行了研究。通过GC-MS测定,鉴定出红脂大小蠹后肠挥发性物质中除了含有松树挥发性物质α-蒎烯、β-蒎烯、3-蒈烯、月桂烯和柠檬烯外,还含有马鞭草烯醇和马鞭草烯酮;利用触角电位技术,对马鞭草烯醇、马鞭草烯酮以及在林间引诱效果最好的3-(+)-蒈烯进行了触角电生理测试;利用Y-型双向选择嗅觉仪对这些物质进行了室内趋向实验。实验结果表明: 1 μg的马鞭草烯醇、马鞭草烯酮和3-(+)-蒈烯引起雌雄触角的电位反应分别达416 μV/470 μV、597 μV/630 μV和926 μV/1 099 μV。浓度为1 μL/mL的马鞭草烯酮引起红脂大小蠹的正趋向反应,而在100 μL/mL浓度下引起红脂大小蠹的负趋向反应;在1 μL/mL的浓度下,3-(+ )-蒈烯引起了红脂大小蠹正趋向反应,而马鞭草烯醇则对红脂大小蠹具有驱避作用,说明这些物质在红脂大小蠹搜寻寄主和调节虫口密度方面起着重要作用。  相似文献

We investigated the role of chemoreception in the host selection and oviposition behaviour of Helicoverpa armigera in the laboratory using five cotton genotypes and synthetic volatile terpenes. Female moths oviposited on substrates treated with methanol, ethanol, acetone and pentane extracts of leaves, squares and flowers of the cotton genotypes. Phytochemicals soluble in pentane were the most efficient in eliciting oviposition behaviour. In a two-way bioassay, pentane extracts of leaves or squares of a Multiple Host-plant Resistance genotype (MHR11), Deltapine commercial (DP90), and Smith Red Leaf (SRL) received significantly more eggs than solvent-treated controls. Extracts of squares of the native genotype Gossypium nelsonii did not receive more eggs. Females preferred DP90 and MHR11 to SRL and G. nelsonii. Female moths also laid more eggs on pentane extracts of MHR11 flowers than MHR11 leaves from preflowering, early flowering and peak-flowering plants. In a flight chamber, female moths used olfactory cues at short range to mediate oviposition and discrimination between host plants. Egg-laying, mated females were attracted at a distance (1.5 m) to volatile compounds released by whole plants and odours emanating from filter papers treated with synthetic volatile terpenes. Individually, the terpenes did not stimulate any significant oviposition response. However, there was a significant oviposition response to a mixture of equal volumes of the terpenes ( trans -β-caryophyllene, α-pinene, β-pinene, myrcene, β-bisabolol, and α-humulene). Conversely, antennectomised (moths with transected antennae), egg-laying, mated females did not stimulate any significant oviposition response. The significance of these findings in relation to H. armigera host-plant selection are discussed.  相似文献

In this study, lemon peels were used as volatile component source. Automatic solvent extraction has been used for the recovery of limonene rich citrus volatile extract for the first time. The process parameters (amount of raw material, immersion time and washing time) were analyzed to optimize the process by means of Box-Behnken design via response surface methodology. The optimum conditions were achieved by ~10 g fresh lemon peel, and ~15 min immersion time and ~13 min washing time. The difference between the actual (89.37 mg/g limonene) and predicted (90.85 mg/g limonene) results was satisfactory (<2 %). α-Terpinene, β-pinene, citral, ɣ-terpinene and linalool were determined as other major volatiles in the peel extract. FT-IR and 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopies were applied to verify the identified volatile compounds.  相似文献

Twenty seven chemical constituents of oils from sweet leaves, flowers and fruits of Foeniculum vulgare Mill. are examined by GC and GC-MS with both different chromatographic columns. They are 1,1-diethoxyethane, α-thujene, α-pinene, camphene, sabinene, β-pinene, myrcene, α- phellandrene, p-cymene, limonene, cineole, γ-terpinene, fenchone, camphor, terpinen-4-ol, α-terpineol, estragole, verbenone, fenchol acetate, carveol, trans-fenchol acetate, carvone, anethole, anisaldehyde, trans-anethole, methoxyphenyl acetone and benzoic acid, 4-methoxy-, othylester. The limonene is 57.8% in the essential oil from leaves, 34.2% from flowers, 13.1% from fruits, The trans-anethole is 21.8% in the essential oil from leaves, 41.2% from flowers, 63.4% from fruits.  相似文献

This study examined the repellent efficacy of six essential oils extracted from caraway, clary sage, grapefruit, strawberry, thyme white, ylangylang, and their related volatile constituents against the adult rice weevil, Sitophilus oryzae using an olfactometer. The caraway and grapefruit oil showed the highest repellent efficacy against the rice weevil at a dose of 10μl. Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrophotometer analysis revealed caraway oil to be rich in carvone and limonene, and grapefruit oil to be rich in limonene, β-myrcene and α-pinene. When the monoterpene was mixed in equal parts with the caraway and grapefruit essential oils, carvone with limonene in caraway oil demonstrated the highest repellent efficacy (96.7%). Limonene with α-pinene and β-myrcene in grapefruit showed strong repellent efficacy (86.4%) with synergistic effects on the S. oryzae.A mixture of caraway and grapefruit oils, as well as carvone and limonene, can be potent repellents that may be useful for controlling S. oryzae.  相似文献

飞机草挥发油对5种植物幼苗生长有显著的抑制作用,受抑制的大小排序为黑麦草>白菜>萝卜>四季豆>水稻.中等浓度(800mg·L-1)飞机草挥发油对水稻稻温病菌的抑制作用最强,对长春花疫病菌的抑制作用次之,对香蕉枯萎病菌的抑制作用最弱;其抑茵串分别为61.40%、29.27%和14.44%.10-20μl·株^-1的飞机草挥发油对小菜峨和黄曲条跳甲有显著的驱避产卵作用.经GC/MS,飞机草挥发油的化学成分主要是萜类化合物,如反式—石竹烯(16.58%)、δ—杜松烯(15.85%)、α—可巴烯(11.58%)、氧化石竹烯(9.63%)、大根香叶烯(4.96%)和α—Lu草烯(4.32%)。  相似文献

The characteristic aroma compounds of Citrus natsudaidai Hayata essential oil were evaluated by a combination of instrumental and sensory methods. Sixty compounds were identified and quantified, accounting for 94.08% of the total peel oil constituents. Limonene was the most abundant compound (80.68%), followed by γ-terpinene (5.30%), myrcene (2.25%) and α-pinene (1.30%). Nineteen compounds which could not be identified in the original oil were identified in the oxygenated fraction. Myrcene, linalool, α-pinene, β-pinene, limonene, nonanal, γ-terpinene, germacrene D, and perillyl alcohol were the active aroma components (FD-factor > 36), whereas β-copaene, cis-sabinene hydrate and 1-octanol were suggested as characteristic aroma compounds, having a Natsudaidai-like aroma in the GC effluent. Three other compounds, heptyl acetate, (E)-limonene oxide and 2,3-butanediol, which each showed a high RFA value (>35) were considered to be important in the reconstruction of the original Natsudaidai oil from pure odor chemicals. The results indicate that 1-octanol was the aroma impact compound of C. natsudaidai Hayata peel oil.  相似文献

水稻叶片在遭受害虫的危害时,释放一些特异性的挥发性物质。这些挥发性信息物质在调节植物、植食性昆虫及其天敌的相互关系中有重要作用。利用“Y”型嗅觉仪研究了褐飞虱对虫害诱导的11种水稻挥发物(浓度为2 Μl 化合物溶解在100 Μl丙酮溶液中)的行为反应。结果表明,(E)-2-己烯醛、(E)-2-己烯-1-醇、-2-庚醇和水杨酸甲酯等4种化合物对褐飞虱成虫有显著的驱避作用,而(Z)-3-己烯-1-醇、-2-庚酮、柠檬烯、罗勒烯、芳樟醇、-β-子丁香烯和橙花叔醇等7种物质对褐飞虱成虫的选择行为无显著影响。浓度梯度的实验表明,浓度(不同体积的待测化合物用100 Μl丙酮稀释)较低的(E)-2-己烯醛(0.5 Μl、1 Μl)和芳樟醇(05 Μl、1 Μl、5 Μl)对褐飞虱成虫的选择行为无显著影响,而较高浓度的(E)-2-己烯醛(5 Μl、10 Μl)和芳樟醇(10 Μl)对褐飞虱成虫均有明显的驱避作用。  相似文献

Utilizing GLC, IR, combined GC-MS, the following constituents were identified in the essential oil of Psiadia salviifolia; β-pinene, limonene, γ-terpinene, p-cymene, α-copaene, linalool, β-bourbonene, α-himachalene, γ-cadinene, δ-cadinene, -γ-elemene, and a hydroxy derivative of calamenene. 【目的】为了确定山胡椒Lindera glauca(Sieb.Zuce)是否对马铃薯块茎蛾Phthorimaea operculella Zeller的产卵有驱避作用。【方法】利用选择性产卵试验方法在室内分别测定了山胡椒的完整果实、压碎果实、根以及不同浓度(0.25~4.0 g E/m L)的压碎山胡椒果实正己烷提取物对马铃薯块茎蛾产卵选择性的影响;在模拟仓库内测定了压碎的果实对其产卵的影响;进而在室内测定了柠檬醛、沉香醇、香叶醇和α-水芹烯不同浓度(0.00075~0.012 g/L)的溶液对其产卵选择性的影响。【结果】山胡椒完整果实、压碎果实、根在室内对马铃薯块茎蛾产卵具有驱避效果,其中压碎果实的产卵驱避效果最好,20 g压碎果实的产卵驱避率可达93.7%。山胡椒压碎果实正己烷提取物在0.5~4.0 g E/m L的浓度范围内随着浓度的升高,产卵驱避效果逐渐增强。在模拟仓库内20 g压碎的果实产卵驱避率是82.5%;0.003~0.012 g/L的柠檬醛,0.012 g/L沉香醇,0.00075~0.012 g/L的香叶醇,0.003~0.012 g/L的α-水芹烯对马铃薯块茎蛾产卵有显著的驱避效果。【结论】山胡椒及其挥发物对马铃薯块茎蛾产卵有驱避效果。  相似文献
