Abstract

At temperatures below zero in winter months, a total of 202 spiders was collected by pitfall traps from a snow-covered grassland in eastern Turkey. 16 genera and 20 species were recorded, belonging to the families Gnaphosidae, Lycosidae, Linyphiidae, Thomisidae, Theridiidae, Philodromidae, Salticidae, and Tetragnathidae.  相似文献

The karyotype and other chromosomal markers as revealed by C-banding and Ag-staining were studied in Lutjanus quinquelineatus and L. kasmira (Lutjanidae, Perciformes). While in latter species, the karyotype was invariably composed of 48 acrocentric chromosomes in both sexes, in L. quinquelineatus the female karyotype had exclusively 48 acrocentric chromosomes (2n = 48) but that of the male consisted of one large metacentric and 46 acrocentric chromosomes (2n = 47). The chromosomes in the first meiotic division in males showed 22 bivalents and one trivalent, which was formed by an end-to-end association and a chiasmatic association. Multiple sex chromosome system of X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y type resulting from single Robertsonian fusion between the original Y chromosome and an autosome was hypothesized to produce neo-Y sex chromosome. The multiple sex chromosome system of L. quinquelineatus appears to be at the early stage of the differentiation. The positive C-banded heterochromatin was situated exclusively in centromeric regions of all chromosomes in both species. Similarly, nucleolus organizer region sites were identified in the pericentromeric region of one middle-sized pair of chromosomes in both species. The cellular DNA contents were the same (3.3 pg) between the sexes and among this species and related species.  相似文献

Twenty-nine isolines of Anopheles crawfordi were established from wild-caught females collected from cow-baited traps in Thailand and Cambodia. Three types of X (X1, X2, X3) and four types of Y (Y1, Y2, Y3, and Y4) chromosomes were identified, according to differing amounts of extra heterochromatin. These sex chromosomes represent four metaphase karyotypes, i.e., Forms A (X1, X2, X3, Y1), B (X1, X2, X3, Y2), C (X2, Y3) and D (X2, Y4). Forms C and D are novel metaphase karyotypes confined to Thailand, whereas forms A and B appear to be common in both Thailand and Cambodia. Cross-mating experiments between the four karyotypic forms indicated genetic compatibility in yielding viable progenies and synaptic salivary gland polytene chromosomes. The results suggest that the forms are conspecific and A. crawfordi comprises four cytological races, which is further supported by very low intraspecific variation (mean genetic distance = 0.000–0.018) of the nucleotide sequences in ribosomal DNA (ITS2) and mitochondrial DNA sequences (COI, COII).  相似文献

在重庆市生态功能区蝴蝶多样性参数研究的基础上,进行区系相似性分析;选取22个蝴蝶多样性参数和5项主要环境因子指标,进行回归和主成分分析,进而探讨监测指标、监测种类和类群的选取与评价体系的建立。分析结果表明:当进行区域级的监测时,在22个指标中,种、科、属的多样性指数和均匀度指数可以忽略;5项环境指标中,人口压力(X22)因子重于面积比例(X18)、人口密度(X19)、林地比例(X20)、土地载有量(X21)等4项因子。选出物种数(X1),蝴蝶属(X2)、科级(X3)单元的多少,种类优势度(X9),各数量等级的物种数贡献率(X10—X13),人口压力(X22)及4个主成分的综合得分等10个因子,作为重庆市生态功能区环境健康状况的10个评价指标;和24个蝴蝶监测种类,12个蝴蝶监测类群一起,探讨评价方法,共同构筑了重庆市生态功能区环境监测评价体系。在此基础上,对各功能区环境健康状况的评价表明,功能区1的环境健康评价为非常健康,5、9、10区为健康功能区;2、3、6、7、14区为亚健康功能区;不健康功能区是4、8、11、12、13区。功能区13、14是城市化区域,它们的分值在14个区中,居第十二位和第七位,不是最低的,这表明城镇化与环境质量并不完全是因果关系,即通过绿化和环境保护,城镇环境是可能得到很好改善的。期望此监测评价体系在实践中进一步完善。  相似文献

A multiple sex-chromosome system in Antarctic ice-fishes   总被引:5,自引:2,他引:3  
Summary We have studied the chromosomes of 11 of the 15 known species of the notothenioid family Channichthyidae, the specialized whiteblooded Teleosts endemic to the Southern Ocean (ice-fishes). In the female sex, all studied species have the same diploid number of forty eight mostly acrocentric (uniarmed) chromosomes; however there is an interspecific variability in the chromosome morphology, type and quantity of repetitious DNA (usually seen as heterochromatin) localization of silver-stained nucleolar organizers. At least five of the studied species show a multiple sex-chromosome system possibly originated by the translocation of an autosome on an early Y gonosome morphologically similar to the X: the digametic males (2n = 47) show a X1Y X2 and the homogametic females (2n = 48) a X1X1X2X2 gonosomic constitution. This peculiar sex determining mechanism, otherwise rare in Teleosts, can be considered apomorphic in the same way as other morphofunctional characters usually interpreted as adaptive in these fishes.Some of the data presented here were collected during the European Polarstern Study (EPOS) sponsored by the European Science Foundation  相似文献

A cytogenetic study performed on a population of the South American leptodactylid frog Eleutherodactylus maussi revealed multiple sex chromosomes of the X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y (=XXAA/XXAY) type. The diploid chromosome number is 2n=36 in all females and 2n=35 in most males. The multiple sex chromosomes originated by a centric fusion between the original Y chromosome and a large autosome. In male meiosis the X1X2Y (=XXAY) multiple sex chromosomes form a classical trivalent configuration. E. maussi is the first species discovered in the class Amphibia that is distinguished by a system of multiple sex chromosomes. Only one single male was found in the population with 2n=36 chromosomes and lacking the Y-autosomal fusion. Cytogenetic and morphometric analyses were carried out in Hoplias aff. malabaricus specimens from six distinct populations from the lower Paranapanema River basin, located between the states of Paraná and São Paulo, Brazil. Measurements were also taken from a specimen collected in Surinam. In a population from a fish farm station at Universidade do Norte do Parana (EPUNOPAR), two sympatric cytotypes (2n = 40 and 2n = 42 chromosomes) are found. A population from a fish farm station at Universidade Estadual de Londrina (EPUEL) shows 2n = 42 meta–submetacentric chromosomes for males and females with a simple sex chromosome system of XX/XY type. Populations from the Vermelho and Rancho Alegre Rivers, Três Bocas Stream and Paranapanema River have 2n = 39 chromosomes in males and 2n = 40 chromosomes in females, showing a multiple sex chromosome system of X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y type. Twenty morphological variables were studied. These measurements were used for an analysis of the canonical variables and standard analysis of proportional measurements. The most variable measurements among the specimens are the maxilla length (MXL) and the pre‐dorsal distance (PDD). Analysis of canonical variables indicates three distinct groups in the first canonical axis formed by: (1) Três Bocas Stream, (2) Rancho Alegre + Vermelho River + EPUNOPAR and (3) EPUEL + Paranapanema River. This axis retained 79·4% of information from the original matrix. Analysis of morphometrics reveals differences among populations from the Paranapanema River basin and between these and the specimen from Surinam. The morphometric and cytogenetic differences among the studied populations suggest a species complex.  相似文献

A total of 548 spiders (Gnaphosidae, Clubionidae, Thomisidae, Philodromidae, Salticidae, Lycosidae, Pisauridae, Linyphiidae) from three sand dune grassland sites were tested serologically for feeding on the grasshoppers, Chorthippus brunneus (Thunberg) and Myrmeleotettix maculatus (Thunberg). Lycosidae were the most commonly tested species and gave the greatest proportion of positive tests. Laboratory observations suggest that predation in the field was predominantly on first instar grasshoppers.
Résumé Afin d'améliorer la connaissance de l'importance des prédateurs dans la biologie des populations de criquets (Orthoptères; Acrididae), les araignées de trois pelouses sur dunes de sable ont été examinées sérologiquement pour estimer leur consommation des populations sympatriques de Chorthippus brunneus Thunberg et Myrmeleotettix maculatus Thunberg. Au total, 548 araignées (Gnaphosidae, Clubionidae, Thomisidae, Philodromidae, Salticidae, Lycosidae, Pisauridae, Linyphiidae) ont été récoltées à la main ou par piège pendant la période d'éclosion des ufs de criquets. Les Lycosidae ont été le plus fréquemment observées (90,5% de toutes les récoltes) et ont donné la plus forte proportion d'individus positifs (jusqu'à 32,3%). Les expériences d'alimentation en laboratoire suggèrent que, dans la nature, les Lycosidae sont les plus actives contre les criquets du premier stade.

Gnaphosa kailana Tikader andScotophaeus blackwallii (Thorell) are characterized by twenty-two (20+X1X2) and twenty-four (22+X1X2) acrocentric chromosomes in their diploid set respectively. In case ofG. kailana the sex-chromosomes are slightly unequal while inS. blackwallii the size difference is well marked between the two. The sex-chromosomes in both species form an accessory plate at the equator of the spindle during metaphase-I and show a precocious anaphase-I movement.  相似文献

Several types of sex chromosome systems have been recorded among Gymnotiformes, including male and female heterogamety, simple and multiple sex chromosomes, and different mechanisms of origin and evolution. The X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y systems identified in three species of this order are considered homoplasic for the group. In the genus Brachyhypopomus, only B. gauderio presented this type of system. Herein we describe the karyotypes of Brachyhypopomus pinnicaudatus and B. n. sp. FLAV, which have an X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y sex chromosome system that evolved via fusion between an autosome and the Y chromosome. The morphology of the chromosomes and the meiotic pairing suggest that the sex chromosomes of B. gauderio and B. pinnicaudatus have a common origin, whereas in B . n. sp. FLAV the sex chromosome system evolved independently. However, we cannot discard the possibility of common origin followed by distinct processes of differentiation. The identification of two new karyotypes with an X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y sex chromosome system in Gymnotiformes makes it the most common among the karyotyped species of the group. Comparisons of these karyotypes and the evolutionary history of the taxa indicate independent origins for their sex chromosomes systems. The recurrent emergence of the X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y system may represent sex chromosomes turnover events in Gymnotiformes.  相似文献

Specimens of the populations Hamburg and Wilhelmshaven of the ratflea N. fasciatus exhibit variation of the chromosome number in the range of 2n=20–23 and 2n=20–27 respectively, resulting from individual differences in the number of supernumerary chromosomes beyond the basic chromosome complement of 2n=20. The supernumerary chromosomes are mostly euchromatic and partly or completely homologous to each other and to the 10. pair of the basic complement. The numerical variation in the population Wilhelmshaven is produced by recurrent mitotic non-disjunction of the supernumerary chromosomes in anaphase II of spermatogenesis. Constant mitotic non-disjunction and preferential segregation of the supernumerary chromosomes towards the pronucleus leads to their accumulation in the population.—A multiple sex-chromosome mechanism of the type X1 X2 Y1 Y2 (male): X1 X1 X2 X2 (female) has been demonstrated for the population Wilhelmshaven of N. fasciatus. The X1 X2 Y1 Y2-chain of four is restricted to the male meiosis, in oogenesis two sex bivalents (X1 X1 and X2 X2) are formed. — The cytogenetic data presented do not support the concept of a closer phylogenetic relationship between the Aphaniptera and Nematocera, but do not preclude the possibility of a kinship of Aphaniptera and Neomecoptera.  相似文献

Thirteen isoline colonies of Anopheles nigerrimus were established from individual wild‐caught females collected from cow‐baited traps at locations in Thailand and Cambodia. Three types of X (X1, X2, X3) and 4 types of Y (Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4) chromosomes were recovered, according to differing amounts of extra heterochromatin. Four karyotypic forms were designed depending upon apparently distinct figures of X and Y chromosomes, i.e., Form A (X1, X2, X3, Y1), B (X2, X3, Y2), C (X1, Y3), and D (X3, Y4). Forms C and D were new metaphase karyotypes discovered in this study. Form A appeared to be common in both Thailand and Cambodia. Forms B and D were found to be rather specific to southern and northeastern Thailand, respectively, whereas Form C was confined to Cambodia. Hybridization experiments among the eight isoline colonies, which were representative of four karyotypic forms of An. nigerrimus, demonstrated genetic compatibility in giving viable progenies and synaptic salivary gland polytene chromosomes through F2‐generations. These results elucidated the conspecific relationship, comprising four cytological forms within this taxon. Supportive evidence was confirmed further by very low intraspecific sequence variations (average genetic distance = 0.002–0.007) of the nucleotide sequences in ribosomal DNA [second internal transcribed spacer (ITS2)] and mitochondrial DNA [cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) and subunit II (COII)].  相似文献

Anoles are a clade of iguanian lizards that underwent an extensive radiation between 125 and 65 million years ago. Their karyotypes show wide variation in diploid number spanning from 26 (Anolis evermanni) to 44 (A. insolitus). This chromosomal variation involves their sex chromosomes, ranging from simple systems (XX/XY), with heterochromosomes represented by either micro- or macrochromosomes, to multiple systems (X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y). Here, for the first time, the homology relationships of sex chromosomes have been investigated in nine anole lizards at the whole chromosome level. Cross-species chromosome painting using sex chromosome paints from A. carolinensis, Ctenonotus pogus and Norops sagrei and gene mapping of X-linked genes demonstrated that the anole ancestral sex chromosome system constituted by microchromosomes is retained in all the species with the ancestral karyotype (2n?=?36, 12 macro- and 24 microchromosomes). On the contrary, species with a derived karyotype, namely those belonging to genera Ctenonotus and Norops, show a series of rearrangements (fusions/fissions) involving autosomes/microchromosomes that led to the formation of their current sex chromosome systems. These results demonstrate that different autosomes were involved in translocations with sex chromosomes in closely related lineages of anole lizards and that several sequential microautosome/sex chromosome fusions lead to a remarkable increase in size of Norops sagrei sex chromosomes.  相似文献

In the vast majority of spider species studied to date, the karyotype is homogeneous in morphology and exclusively telocentric. The sex-determining system consists of one to three X chromosomes in the male and, correspondingly, two to six in the female. This is the case in species of huntsman spiders belonging to the genera Heteropoda (2n=40+3X), Isopoda, Olios, and Pediana (2n=40+3X) and some populations of the colonial species Delena cancerides (2n=40+3X). In other populations of D. cancerides, wholesale fusion of the karyotype has occurred, reducing the standard huntsman karyotype of 43 telocentric chromosomes to 21 metacentrics and 1 telocentric. Eight of the centric fusion products, including an X-autosome fusion, are maintained in the heterozygous condition in males and, with the single telocentric, form a chain of nine chromosomes at meiosis. The two complexes comprising the chain behave as neo-X and neo-Y chromosomes, and thus the ancestral X1X2X3X1X1X2X2X3X3 sex-determining system has been converted to a system of six X and four Y chromosomes in the male and twelve X chromosomes in the female. Since sex-linked complex heterozygosity is also found in a number of species of social termites, it is suggested that such heterozygosity may have adaptive significance for a colonial lifestyle. Breakdown products of the chain of nine are present in specimens of D. cancerides from Canberra and these appear to represent hybrid products between the 2n=22 and 2n=43 forms. Hybridisation may also have been involved in the origin of the chain-forming races.  相似文献

Karyotypic studies were carried out on some species belonging to the family Cebidae. The chromosome complements have been studied in blood cultures in vitro in the following species: Alouatta fusca clamitans (2n = 50); Aotes trivirgatus (2n = 52); Cebus albifrons (2n = 52); Cebus sp. (2n = 54); Ateles paniscus paniscus (2n = 34); Lagothrix lagotricha (2n = 62). Comparison between the present results and the karyotypes of the Cebidae described in the literature reveal intraspecific and interspecific variability in number and structure of the chromosomes.  相似文献

Harttia is a genus in the subfamily Loricariinae that accommodates fishes popularly known as armored catfishes. They show extensive karyotypic diversity regarding interspecific numerical/structural variation of the karyotypes, with the presence of the XX/XY1Y2 multiple sex chromosome system, as found in H. carvalhoi. In this context, this study aimed to characterize Harttia punctata chromosomally, for the first time, and to infer the rearrangements that originated the X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y multiple sex chromosome system present in this species. The data obtained in this study, with classical (Giemsa, C-banding and AgNORs) and molecular methodologies (fluorescence in situ hybridization) and chromosome microdissection, indicated that a translocation between distinct acrocentric chromosomes bearing rRNA genes, accompanied by deletions in both chromosomes, might have originated the neo-Y chromosome in this species. The data also suggest that the multiple sex chromosome systems present in H. carvalhoi and H. punctata had an independent origin, evidencing the recurrence of chromosome alterations in species from this genus.  相似文献

Erythrinus erythrinus presents extensive karyotypic diversity, with four karyomorphs (A–D) differing in the number of chromosomes, karyotype structure or sex chromosomes systems. Karyomorph A has 2n = 54 chromosomes in males and females without heteromorphic sex chromosomes, while karyomorph C has 2n = 52 chromosomes in females and 2n = 51 chromosomes in males, due a X1X1X2X2/X1X2Y sex chromosome system. Three allopatric populations of the karyomorph A and one population of the karyomorph C were now in deep investigated by molecular cytogenetic analyses, using repetitive DNAs as probes. The results reinforced the relatedness among populations of the karyomorph A, despite their large geographic distribution. Karyomorph C, however, showed a remarkably difference in the genomic constitution, especially concerning the amount and distribution of the 5S rDNA and Rex3 sequences on chromosomes. In addition, although karyomorphs C and D share several features, exclusive chromosomal markers show the derivative evolutionary pathway between them. Thus, besides the classical chromosomal rearrangements, the repetitive DNAs were useful tools to reveal the biodiversity, relatedness and differentiation of this fish group. The chromosomal set strongly corroborates that E. erythrinus corresponds to a species complex instead of a single biological entity.  相似文献

The garden chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum × morifolium) variety ??Aoyunhuoju?? (2n = 6x = 54) was crossed as female with Ajania pacifica (2n = 10x = 90) to produce intergeneric F1 hybrids, which were used both as the source of F2 generation and as the parent for a first back-cross with ??Aoyunhuoju??. The morphology of all of the F1 hybrids and hybrid derivatives was intermediate with respect to the two parents, although the BC1 progenies resembled ??Aoyunhuoju?? more closely than any of the F1 and F2 progenies did. In the F1 generation, the density of silvery hairs on the lower leaf surface and along the margin of the leaf was lower than in A. pacifica, while that in the BC1 generation, this trait was less prominent than in the F1. The somatic chromosome number of the F1, F2 (with an exception of F2-6 of a mainly 63) and BC1 generations was 2n = 8x = 72, 2n = 8x = 72 and 2n = 7x = 63 respectively, as expected. The hybrids and their derivatives retained a variable degree of fertility. There was a low frequency of meiotic chromosome pairing failure in all three hybrid generations, with most of the chromosomes involved as bivalents. Some BC1 individuals show potential for commercialization thanks both to their flower shape and the inheritance of the silvery leaf trait from A. pacifica.  相似文献
