Potassium ion hybrid capacitors have great potential for large‐scale energy devices, because of the high power density and low cost. However, their practical applications are hindered by their low energy density, as well as electrolyte decomposition and collector corrosion at high potential in potassium bis(fluoro‐sulfonyl)imide‐based electrolyte. Therefore, anode materials with high capacity, a suitable voltage platform, and stability become a key factor. Here, N‐doping carbon‐coated FeSe2 clusters are demonstrated as the anode material for a hybrid capacitor, delivering a reversible capacity of 295 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1 over 100 cycles and a high rate capability of 158 mAh g?1 at 2000 mA g?1 over 2000 cycles. Meanwhile, through density functional theory calculations, in situ X‐ray diffraction, and ex situ transmission electron microscopy, the evolution of FeSe2 to Fe3Se4 for the electrochemical reaction mechanism is successfully revealed. The battery‐supercapacitor hybrid using commercial activated carbon as the cathode and FeSe2/N‐C as the anode is obtained. It delivers a high energy density of 230 Wh kg?1 and a power density of 920 W kg?1 (the energy density and power density are calculated based on the total mass of active materials in the anode and cathode).  相似文献

Sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) that operate in a wide temperature range are in high demand for practical large‐scale electric energy storage. Herein, a novel full SIB is composed of a bulk Bi anode, a Na3V2(PO4)3/carbon nanotubes composite (NVP‐CNTs) cathode and a NaPF6‐diglyme electrolyte. The Bi anode gradually evolves into a porous network in the ether‐based electrolyte during initial cycles, and in the NVP‐CNTs cathode the NVP is cross linked by CNTs to show large exchange current density. These unique features merit the full SIB of Bi//NVP‐CNTs with high Na+ diffusion coefficient and low reaction activation energy, and hence fast Na+ transport and facile redox reaction kinetics. The resultant full SIB presents high power density of 2354.6 W kg?1 and energy density of 150 Wh kg?1 and superior cycling stability in a wide temperature range from ?15 to 45 °C. This will shed light on battery design, and promote their development for practical applications in various weather conditions.  相似文献

A high energy density supercapacitor device is reported that utilizes hybrid carbon electrodes and the ionic liquid, 1‐butyl‐3‐methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (BMIMBF4) as an electrolyte. The hybrid electrodes are prepared from reduced graphite oxide (rGO) and purified single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). A simple casting technique gives the hybrid structure with optimum porosity and functionality that provides high energy and power densities. The combination of SWCNTs and rGO in a weight ratio of 1:1 is found to afford a specific capacitance of 222 F g?1 and an energy density of 94 Wh kg?1 at room temperature.  相似文献

The migration of zinc‐ion batteries from alkaline electrolyte to neutral or mild acidic electrolyte promotes research into their flexible applications. However, discharge voltage of many reported zinc‐ion batteries is far from satisfactory. On one hand, the battery voltage is substantially restricted by the narrow voltage window of aqueous electrolytes. On the other hand, many batteries yield a low‐voltage discharge plateau or show no plateau but capacitor‐like sloping discharge profiles. This impacts the battery's practicability for flexible electronics where stable and consistent high energy is needed. Herein, an aqueous zinc hybrid battery based on a highly concentrated dual‐ion electrolyte and a hierarchically structured lithium‐ion‐intercalative LiVPO4F cathode is developed. This hybrid battery delivers a flat and high‐voltage discharge plateau of nearly 1.9 V, ranking among the highest reported values for all aqueous zinc‐based batteries. The resultant high energy density of 235.6 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 320.8 W kg?1 also outperforms most reported zinc‐based batteries. A designed solid‐state and long‐lasting hydrogel electrolyte is subsequently applied in the fabrication of a flexible battery, which can be integrated into various flexible devices as powerful energy supply. The idea of designing such a hybrid battery offers a new strategy for developing high‐voltage and high‐energy aqueous energy storage systems.  相似文献

Potassium‐ion hybrid capacitors (PIHCs), elaborately integrate the advantages of high output power as well as long lifespan of supercapacitors and the high energy density of batteries, and exhibit great possibilities for the future generations of energy storage devices. The critical next step for future implementation lies in exploring a high‐rate battery‐type anode with an ultra‐stable structure to match the capacitor‐type cathode. Herein, a “dual‐carbon” is constructed, in which a three‐dimensional nitrogen‐doped microporous carbon polyhedron (NMCP) derived from metal‐organic frameworks is tightly wrapped by two‐dimensional reduced graphene oxide (NMCP@rGO). Benefiting from the synergistic effect of the inner NMCP and outer rGO, the NMCP@rGO exhibits a superior K‐ion storage capability with a high reversible capacity of 386 mAh g?1 at 0.05 A g?1 and ultra‐long cycle stability with a capacity of 151.4 mAh g?1 after 6000 cycles at 5.0 A g?1. As expected, the as‐assembled PIHCs with a working voltage as high as 4.2 V present a high energy/power density (63.6 Wh kg?1 at 19 091 W kg?1) and excellent capacity retention of 84.7% after 12 000 cycles. This rational construction of advanced PIHCs with excellent performance opens a new avenue for further application and development.  相似文献

A facile one‐step hydrothermal co‐deposition method for growth of ultrathin Ni(OH)2‐MnO2 hybrid nanosheet arrays on three dimensional (3D) macroporous nickel foam is presented. Due to the highly hydrophilic and ultrathin nature of hybrid nanosheets, as well as the synergetic effects of Ni(OH)2 and MnO2, the as‐fabricated Ni(OH)2‐MnO2 hybrid electrode exhibits an ultrahigh specific capacitance of 2628 F g?1. Moreover, the asymmetric supercapacitor with the as‐obtained Ni(OH)2‐MnO2 hybrid film as the positive electrode and the reduced graphene oxide as the negative electrode has a high energy density (186 Wh kg?1 at 778 W kg?1), based on the total mass of active materials.  相似文献

Potassium‐ion hybrid capacitors (PIHCs) hold the advantages of high‐energy density of batteries and high‐power output of supercapacitors and thus present great promise for the next generation of electrochemical energy storage devices. One of the most crucial tasks for developing a high‐performance PIHCs is to explore a favorable anode material with capability to balance the kinetics mismatch between battery‐type anodes and capacitor‐type cathode. Herein, a reliable route for fabricating sulfur and nitrogen codoped 3D porous carbon nanosheets (S‐N‐PCNs) is reported. Systematic characterizations coupled with kinetics analysis indicate that the doped heteroatoms of sulfur and nitrogen and the amplified graphite interlayer can provide ample structural defects and redox active sites that are beneficial for improving pseudocapacitive activity, enabling fast kinetics toward efficient potassium‐ion storage. The S‐N‐PCNs are demonstrated to exhibit superior potassium storage capability with a high capacity of 107 mAh g?1 at 20 A g?1 and long cycle stability. The as‐developed PIHCs present impressive electrochemical performance with an operating voltage as high as 4.0 V, an energy density of 187 Wh kg?1, a power density of 5136 W kg?1, and a capacity retention of 86.4% after 3000 cycles.  相似文献

The charge storage characteristics of a composite nanoarchitecture with a highly functional 3D morphology are reported. The electrodes are formed by the electropolymerization of aniline monomers into a nanometer‐thick polyaniline (PANI) film that conformally coats graphitic petals (GPs) grown by microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD) on conductive carbon cloth (CC). The hybrid CC/GPs/PANI electrodes yield results near the theoretical maximum capacitance for PANI of 2000 F g?1 (based on PANI mass) and a large area‐normalized specific capacitance of ≈2.6 F cm?2 (equivalent to a volumetric capacitance of ≈230 F cm?3) at a low current density of 1 A g?1 (based on PANI mass). The specific capacitances remain above 1200 F g?1 (based on PANI mass) for currents up to 100 A g?1 with correspondingly high area‐normalized values. The hybrid electrodes also exhibit a high rate capability with an energy density of 110 Wh kg?1 and a maximum power density of 265 kW kg?1 at a current density of 100 A g?1. Long‐term cyclic stability is good (≈7% loss of initial capacitance after 2000 cycles), with coulombic efficiencies >99%. Moreover, prototype all‐solid‐state flexible supercapacitors fabricated from these hybrid electrodes exhibit excellent energy storage performance.  相似文献

Integrating a battery‐type electrode to build a hybrid supercapacitor is a promising approach to improve the overall energy density of a supercapacitor‐type energy storage device without sacrificing its power output. However, this strategy is usually achieved at the expense of cycling lifespan. In this work, a hybrid supercapacitor comprising Zn foil and porous carbon derived from chemical activated graphene (aMEGO) is developed, and the trade‐off between energy density and cycling life is well‐balanced by the utilization of 3 m Zn(CF3SO3)2 electrolyte with high Zn stripping/plating efficiency. Such a hybrid supercapacitor demonstrates an energy density of 106.3 Wh kg?1 and a power density of 31.4 kW kg?1, and significantly a wide operation voltage of 1.9 V is achieved in aqueous electrolyte. Benefitting from the high Zn stripping/plating efficiency, the Zn‐aMEGO hybrid‐supercapacitor also exhibits an ultralong cycling life up to 80 000 cycles with capacity retention of 93%, which is comparable to that of conventional electrochemical double‐layer capacitors.  相似文献

Asymmetric supercapacitors featuring both high energy and power densities as well as a long lifespan are much sought after and may become a reality depending on the availability of cheap yet highly active electrode materials. Here, a novel flexible architecture electrode made of NiCoAl‐layered double hydroxide (NiCoAl‐LDH) nanoplates coupled with NiCo‐carbonate hydroxide (NiCo‐CH) nanowires, grown on graphite paper via an in situ, one‐step, hydrothermal method is reported. The nanowire‐like NiCo‐CH species in the nanoplate matrix function as a scaffold and support the dispersion of the NiCoAl‐LDH nanoplates, resulting in a relatively loose and open structure within the electrode matrix. Asymmetric supercapacitors fabricated using the nanohybrids as the positive electrode and a typical activated carbon (AC) as negative electrode show a high energy density of 58.9 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 0.4 kW kg?1, which is based on the total mass of active materials at a voltage of 1.6 V. An energy density of 14.9 Wh kg?1 can be retained even at a high power density of 51.5 kW kg?1. Our asymmetric supercapacitor also exhibits an excellent long cycle life, whereby a specific capacitance of 97% is retained even after 10 000 cycles.  相似文献

Potassium ion storage technology as a promising substitute for the well‐developed lithium ion storage technology is still at the infancy stage of development, and exploring suitable electrode materials is critical for its practical application. Here, the great feasibility of disordered, large interlayer spacing, and oxygen‐rich carbon nanosheets (CNSs) prepared by chemical vapor deposition for potassium ion storage applications is demonstrated. As an anode material, the CNSs exhibit outstanding rate capability as well as excellent cyclic stability. Taking advantage of this, a potassium ion hybrid capacitor (PIHC) is constructed by employing such CNSs as the battery‐type anode and activated carbon as the capacitor‐type cathode. The resulting device displays a high energy density of 149 Wh kg?1, an ultrahigh power output of 21 kW kg?1, as well as a long cycling life (80% capacity retention after 5000 cycles), which are all close to the state‐of‐the‐art values for PIHCs. This work promotes the development of high‐performance anode material for potassium ion storage devices, and the designed PIHC pushes the energy density and power density to a higher level.  相似文献

The energy densities of most supercapacitors (SCs) are low, hindering their practical applications. To construct SCs with ultrahigh energy densities, a porous titanium carbide (TiC)/boron‐doped diamond (BDD) composite electrode is synthesized on a titanium plate that is pretreated using a plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) technique. The porous and nanometer‐thick TiO2 layer formed during PEO process prevents the formation of brittle titanium hydride and enhances the BDD growth during chemical vapor deposition processes. Meanwhile, the in situ conversion of TiO2 into TiC is achieved. Combination of this capacitor electrode with soluble redox electrolytes leads to the fabrication of high‐performance SCs in both aqueous and organic solutions. In 0.05 m Fe(CN)63?/4? + 1 m Na2SO4 aqueous solution, the capacitance is as high as 46.3 mF cm?2 at a current density of 1 mA cm?2; this capacitance remains 92% of its initial value even after 10 000 charge/discharge cycles; the energy density is up to 47.4 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 2236 W kg?1. The performance of constructed SCs is superior to most available SCs and some electrochemical energy storage devices like batteries. Such a porous capacitor electrode is thus promising for the construction of high‐performance SCs for practical applications.  相似文献

Transition metal nitrides are promising energy storage materials in regard to good metallic conductivity and high theoretical specific capacity, but their cycling stability is impeded by the huge volume change caused by the conversion reaction mechanism. Here, a simple strategy to produce an intercalation pseudocapacitive‐type vanadium nitride (VN) by one‐step ammonification of V2C MXene for sodium‐ion batteries is reported. Profiting from a distinctive layered structure pillared by Al atoms in the layer spacing, it delivers a high capacity of 372 mA h g?1 at 50 mA g?1 and a desirable rate performance. More importantly, it shows remarkably long cycling stability over 7500 cycles without capacity attenuation at 500 mA g?1. As expected, it is found that the intercalation pseudocapacitance plays an important role in the excellent performance, by using in situ X‐ray diffraction and ex situ X‐ray absorption structure characterization. Even more remarkable, are the high energy and power density of the sodium‐ion capacitor after coupling with a carbon‐based cathode. The hybrid device possesses an energy density of 78.43 Wh kg?1 at power density of 260 W kg?1. The results clearly show that such a unique‐layered VN with outstanding Na storage capability is an excellent new material for energy storage systems.  相似文献

High energy density Li‐ion hybrid flow capacitors are demonstrated by employing LiMn2O4 and activated carbon slurry electrodes. Compared to the existing aqueous flow electrochemical capacitors, the hybrid one exhibits much higher energy densities due to the introduction of high capacity Li‐insertion materials (e.g., LiMn2O4 in the present work) as the flowable electrode with asymmetrical cell configuration. A record energy density, i.e., 23.4 W h kg?1 at a power of 50.0 W kg?1 has been achieved for aqueous flow capacitors tested at static condition reported to date. A full operational Li‐ion flow capacitor tested in an intermittent‐flow mode has also been demonstrated. The Li‐ion hybrid flow capacitor shows great promise for high‐rate grid applications.  相似文献

Conducting polymers such as polyaniline (PAni) show a great potential as pseudocapacitor materials for electrochemical energy storage applications. Yet, the cycling instability of PAni resulting from structural alteration is a major hurdle to its commercial application. Here, the development of nanostructured PAni–RuO2 core–shell arrays as electrodes for highly stable pseudocapacitors with excellent energy storage performance is reported. A thin layer of RuO2 grown by atomic layer deposition (ALD) on PAni nanofibers plays a crucial role in stabilizing the PAni pseudocapacitors and improving their energy density. The pseudocapacitors, which are based on optimized PAni–RuO2 core–shell nanostructured electrodes, exhibit very high specific capacitance (710 F g?1 at 5 mV s?1) and power density (42.2 kW kg?1) at an energy density of 10 Wh kg?1. Furthermore, they exhibit remarkable capacitance retention of ≈88% after 10 000 cycles at very high current density of 20 A g?1, superior to that of pristine PAni‐based pseudocapacitors. This prominently enhanced electrochemical stability successfully demonstrates the buffering effect of ALD coating on PAni, which provides a new approach for the preparation of metal‐oxide/conducting polymer hybrid electrodes with excellent electrochemical performance.  相似文献

Flexible fiber‐shaped supercapacitors have shown great potential in portable and wearable electronics. However, small specific capacitance and low operating voltage limit the practical application of fiber‐shaped supercapacitors in high energy density devices. Herein, direct growth of ultrathin MnO2 nanosheet arrays on conductive carbon fibers with robust adhesion is exhibited, which exhibit a high specific capacitance of 634.5 F g?1 at a current density of 2.5 A g?1 and possess superior cycle stability. When MnO2 nanosheet arrays on carbon fibers and graphene on carbon fibers are used as a positive electrode and a negative electrode, respectively, in an all‐solid‐state asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC), the ASC displays a high specific capacitance of 87.1 F g?1 and an exceptional energy density of 27.2 Wh kg?1. In addition, its capacitance retention reaches 95.2% over 3000 cycles, representing the excellent cyclic ability. The flexibility and mechanical stability of these ASCs are highlighted by the negligible degradation of their electrochemical performance even under severely bending states. Impressively, as‐prepared fiber‐shaped ASCs could successfully power a photodetector based on CdS nanowires without applying any external bias voltage. The excellent performance of all‐solid‐state ASCs opens up new opportunity for development of wearable and self‐powered nanodevices in near future.  相似文献

A hybrid supercapacitor with high energy and power densities is reported. It comprises a composite anode of anatase TiO2 and reduced graphene oxide and an activated carbon cathode in a non‐aqueous electrolyte. While intercalation compounds can provide high energy typically at the expense of power, the anatase TiO2 nanoparticles are able to sustain both high energy and power in the hybrid supercapacitor. At a voltage range from 1.0 to 3.0 V, 42 W h kg?1 of energy is achieved at 800 W kg?1. Even at a 4‐s charge/discharge rate, an energy density as high as 8.9 W h kg?1 can be retained. The high energy and power of this hybrid supercapacitor bridges the gap between conventional batteries with high energy and low power and supercapacitors with high power and low energy.  相似文献

Unique nanostructures always lead to extraordinary electrochemical energy storage performance. Here, the authors report a new strategy for using Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) derived cobalt sulfide in a carbon matrix with a 3D honeycombed porous structure, resulting in a high‐performance supercapacitor with unrivalled capacity of ≈1887 F g‐1 at the current density of 1 A g‐1. The honeycomb‐like structure of Co9S8@C composite is loosely adsorbed, with plentiful surface area and high conductivity, leading to improved Faradaic processes across the interface and enhanced redox reactions at active Co9S8 sites. Therefore, the heterostructure‐fabricated hybrid supercapacitor, using activated carbon as the counter electrode, demonstrates a high energy density of 58 Wh kg‐1 at the power density of 1000 W kg‐1. Even under an ultrahigh power density of 17 200 W kg‐1, its energy density maintains ≈38 Wh kg‐1. The hybrid supercapacitor also exhibits suitable cycling stability, with ≈90% capacity retention after 10 000 continuous cycles at the current density of 5 A g‐1. This work presents a practical method for using MOFs as sacrificial templates to synthesize metal‐sulfides for highly efficient electrochemical energy storage.  相似文献

The growing demand for bioelectronics has generated widespread interest in implantable energy storage. These implantable bioelectronic devices, powered by a complementary battery/capacitor system, have faced difficulty in miniaturization without compromising their functionality. This paper reports on the development of a promising high‐rate cathode material for implantable power sources based on Li‐exchanged Na1.5VOPO4F0.5 anchored on reduced graphene oxide (LNVOPF‐rGO). LNVOPF is unique in that it offers dual charge storage mechanisms, which enable it to exhibit mixed battery/capacitor electrochemical behavior. In this work, electrochemical Li‐ion exchange of the LNVOPF structure is characterized by operando X‐ray diffraction. Through designed nanostructuring, the charge storage kinetics of LNVOPF are improved, as reflected in the stored capacity of 107 mAh g?1 at 20C. A practical full cell device composed of LNVOPF and T‐Nb2O5, which serves as a pseudocapacitive anode, is fabricated to demonstrate not only high energy/power density storage (100 Wh kg?1 at 4000 W kg?1) but also reliable pulse capability and biocompatibility, a desirable combination for applications in biostimulating devices. This work underscores the potential of miniaturizing biomedical devices by replacing a conventional battery/capacitor couple with a single power source.  相似文献

An innovative and environmentally friendly battery chemistry is proposed for high power applications. A carbon‐coated ZnFe2O4 nanoparticle‐based anode and a LiFePO4‐multiwalled carbon nanotube‐based cathode, both aqueous processed with Na‐carboxymethyl cellulose, are combined, for the first time, in a Li‐ion full cell with exceptional electrochemical performance. Such novel battery shows remarkable rate capabilities, delivering 50% of its nominal capacity at currents corresponding to ≈20C (with respect to the limiting cathode). Furthermore, the pre‐lithiation of the negative electrode offers the possibility of tuning the cell potential and, therefore, achieving remarkable gravimetric energy and power density values of 202 Wh kg?1 and 3.72 W kg?1, respectively, in addition to grant a lithium reservoir. The high reversibility of the system enables sustaining more than 10 000 cycles at elevated C‐rates (≈10C with respect to the LiFePO4 cathode), while retaining up to 85% of its initial capacity.  相似文献
