A new sesquiterpene ester, tunetanin A ( 1 ), a new sesquiterpene coumarin, tunetacoumarin A ( 2 ), together with eight known compounds, i.e., coladin ( 3 ), coladonin ( 4 ), isosmarcandin ( 5 ), 13‐hydroxyfeselol ( 6 ), umbelliprenin ( 7 ) propiophenone ( 8 ), β‐sitosterol ( 9 ), and stigmasterol ( 10 ), were isolated from the roots of Ferula tunetana. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic methods, including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR experiments and MS analysis, as well as by comparison with published data. The cytotoxicity of compounds 1 – 7 towards two human colon cancer cell lines, HT‐29 and HCT 116, was evaluated. Compounds 3, 4 , and 6 showed weak cytotoxic activities.  相似文献

The results of the identification of 21 ergoline alkaloids of 14 species of Argyreia; viz.: A. barnesii, A. capitata, A. cuneata, A. luzoninsis, A. mollis, A. maingayi, A. nervosa, A. obtusifolia, A. philippinensis, A. reticulata. A. ridleyi, A. rubicunda, A. splendens and A. sp. and 2 closely related genera; Stictocardia tiliafolia and Rivea corymbosa, by using 2-D TLC procedures are given. A brief discussion of the implications of the ergoline alkaloids and the chemotaxonomy of the Convolvulaceae is also presented.  相似文献

Crossability relationships between six species of the Mediterranean, North American and Asian firs was tested using Abies alba and A. nordmanniana as female parents and A. alba, A. numidica, A. procera, A. grandis, and A. holophylla as pollen parents. An overwhelming majority of the crosses attempted was found to be compatible. In particular, it is true of the A. alba cross with A. numidica and those of A. nordmanniana with A. alba, A. numidica, A. procera, and A. holophylla. The crossing A. nordmanniana × A. grandis was the only exception producing empty seeds. Cytological study revealed the gametophytic incompatibility to be responsible for reproductive isolation of these species. At seedling level, all the interspecific crosses of A. nordmanniana surpassed in height growth self-pollinated control. The cross A. alba × A. numidica was comparable in this respect with control variants from open and self-pollination. Except for height growth, some characteristics of needle stomata are provided for individual crosses. The crosses A. nordmanniana with A. procera and A. holophylla represent unique interspecific combinations whose existence has not been reported yet. Based on needle stomata characteristics, the potential for increased resistance and drought tolerance of the hybrids with A. numidica involved as parental species is discussed.  相似文献

Fraxin and esculin were characterized in stems and fruits of A. deliciosa (kiwifruit) and A. chinensis. These two coumarins were not present in several other Actinidia species belonging to the four sections of the genus Actinidia such as A. callosa, A. eriantha, A. hemsleyana, A. arguta, A. kolomikta, A. melanandra, A. polygama. Our results support the opinion that A. deliciosa and A. chinensis are closely related and likely belonging to the same species.  相似文献

Analytical data for the gum exudates from Acacia difficilis, A. dimidiata, A. eriopoda, A. maidenii, A. stipuligera, A. torulosa and A. tumida are presented. Of these, five are highly proteinaceous; they also have high methoxyl contents and very low rhamnose contents. In contrast, A. dimidiata shows no unusual analytical parameters, and A. maidenii gum has alowarabinose content and a high rhamnose content, thus having a sugar composition of the type first observed in the gum from A. saligna. The gum from A. maidenii is also of interest as its analytical data are closely similar to those for A. longifolia, the only other tetramerous member of the subseries Juliflorae to have been studied. The data reported extend even further the unusual ranges of analytical parameters found within the Juliflorae, and confirm its great heterogeneity and chemotaxonomic interest.  相似文献

The cockroach genus Arenivaga is revised. Qualitative and quantitative differences in population growth patterns of Aphelenchoides rutgersi from Florida, A. sacchari from Jamaica, A. dactylocercus from Great Britain, and A. cibolensis from New Mexico were assessed on 28 species of fungi. The patterns of population growth of A. rutgersi and A. sacchari were statistically similar although not identical, and they differed considerably from those of A. dactylocercus and A. cibolensis. It is suggested that A. rutgersi and A. sacchari, from Florida and Jamaica respectively, may be more closely related to each other than to either A. dactylocercus or A. cibolensis.  相似文献

An analytical study has been made of gum specimens from Acacia hebeclada, A. kirkii, A. newbrownii and A. reficiens (all of the series Gummiferae) and of Acacia erubescens, A.fleckii, A. mellifera ssp. mellifera and A. mellifera ssp. detinens (all of the series Vulgares). The data obtained give further support for the main chemotaxonomic differences between the Gummiferae and Vulgares species recorded previously. In addition, two of the species studied have exceptional features; the gum exudate from A. hebeclada contains 9.4% of nitrogen; that from A. erubescens contains 12% of glucose.  相似文献

Australian gum specimens from Acacia aestivalis, A. chrysella, A. jennerae and A. microbotrya (five specimens differing slightly in some morphological characters) have been studied. These species, placed within Bentham's Series 1, subseries 6F (Uninerves racemosae) are closely related, forming part of the recognized A. microbotrya group. The five specimens from A. microbotrya show minor variations, similar in extent to those established previously for gums from other species. The gums from A. chrysella and A. jennerae are similar to those from A. microbotrya in chemical composition. The gum from A. aestivalis differs from those from A. microbotrya, A. chrysella and A. jennerae in two main respects: it is more acidic and has a much higher methoxyl content. Thus significant differences in gum composition can be shown by some species that differ only slightly in morphological characters. Data for the amino acid compositions of the proteinaceous components of the gums from A. aestivalis, A. jennerae and A. microbotrya, differ considerably from those for the gums from other species belonging to the Uninerves racemosae, e.g. A. saliciformis and A. xanthina, which are much more viscous and have higher proteinaceous contents containing much higher proportions of the amino acids commonly involved in linkages with sugars. Of the closely related species studied, A. aestivalis is closer to A. microbotrya than A.jennerae in terms of the amino acid compositions of their gums, a reversal in the relative affinities shown by their polysaccharide parameters. Thus amino acid compositions are of interest chemotaxonomically and also in terms of the tertiary structures of Acacia gum exudates.  相似文献

Ticks and tick-borne diseases are important in human and livestock health worldwide. In November 2012, ixodid ticks were collected and identified morphologically from cattle and wild animals in the Maswa district and Iringa urban, Tanzania. Amblyomma gemma, A. lepidum, and A. variegatum were identified from Maswa cattle, and A. variegatum was the predominant species. A. marmoreum, Hyalomma impeltatum, and Rhipicephalus pulchellus were identified from Iringa cattle in addition to the above 3 Amblyomma species, and A. gemma was the most abundant species. Total 4 Amblyomma and 6 Rhipicephalus species were identified from wild animals of the 2 areas. A. lepidum was predominant in Maswa buffaloes, whereas A. gemma was predominant in Iringa buffaloes. Overall, A. variegatum in cattle was predominant in the Maswa district and A. gemma was predominant in Iringa, Tanzania.  相似文献

The steroidal sapogenins yielded by the leaves of 34 species and 1 cultivar of Agave, 1 species of Beschorneria, 1 species of Doryanthes and 3 species of Furcraea have been studied. Steroidal sapogenins were found in extracts of most of the species examined. Smilagenin, sarsasapogenin, diosgenin, yamogenin, tigogenin, neotigogenin, gloriogenin, gentrogenin, hecogenin, sisalagenin, 9-dehydrohecogenin and gitogenin were detected. Gloriogenin was found only in A. ghiesbrechtii, yamogenin in A. horrida and A. rigidissima, neo-tigogenin in A. horrida and A. toneliana and gitogenin in A. filifera, F. cabua, F. gigantea and F. selloa cv marginata. The highest yield of smilagenin was obtained from both A. haynaldii and A. rigidissima, of sarsasapogenin from A. attenuata, of diosgenin from A. ellemeetiana, of tigogenin from A. haynaldii and of hecogenin from F. cabua.  相似文献

The steroidal sapogenins yielded by the leaves of Agave aurea, A. avellanidens, A. cerulata, A. cerulata ssp. subcerulata, A. cocui, A. goldmaniana, A. shawii and Furcraeamacrophylla are recorded. In all these species, hecogenin and tigogenin were the major sapogenins isolated. Gitogenin was found in the extracts of all the leaf samples, except that of A. shawii, and manogenin and 9-dehydromanogenin in all but that of A. cocui. Chlorogenin was isolated from A. cocui, but was not detected in any of the other species examined. Qualitative and quantitative variations were found in the sapogenin contents of extracts of different regions of the same leaves of A. cocui and F. macrophylla. The molecular phylogeny of Acarosporaceae with a focus on the recently proposed genus Polysporinopsis was investigated using maximum parsimony and Bayesian analyses, using nuITS-LSU and mtSSU rDNA sequence datasets. A well-supported monophyletic clade corresponding to Acarospora (including the type species A. schleicheri, A. fuscata, A. nitrophila, A. rugulosa, A. bullata, A. sinopica, A molybdina and A. peliscypha) was present in all analyses. Acarospora as currently delimited is not monophyletic; neither A. smaragdula nor A. badiofusca belongs to the genus in the restricted sense. Polysporinopsis, which comprises three species previously classified in Acarospora (P. sinopica-type species, P. smaragdula, and P. rugulosa) is not a monophyletic group separate from Acarospora s. str. Acarospora sinopica and A. smaragdula are not closely related; A. sinopica belongs to Acarospora s. str., but A. smaragdula is one of the most basal taxa currently known in Acarosporaceae.  相似文献

Australian gum specimens from Acacia saliciformis, A. xanthina, A. rostellifera, A. murrayana (two specimens differing in the mode of initiation of gum exudation), A. georginae, A. cyclops, A. implexa, and an un-named species (Maslin ‘P31’) have been analysed. The first four of these are placed within Bentham's Series 1, subseries 6F, A. georginae within subseries 7E, and the remainder within subseries 7F. These data extend considerably the ranges of the analytical parameters reported previously for phyllodine species. The molecular weights of the gums from A. cyclops and A. implexa are much higher than those reported earlier for South African specimens; this may affect some taxonomic deductions based on their examination. The gum composition of A. saligna can no longer be regarded as atypical of a phyllodinous species; a suggestion that A. saligna should be transferred to the section Juliflorae may require reconsideration. The major difference between the specimens of gum from A. murrayana lies in their nitrogenous content. Data are reported for the amino acid compositions of the gums from A. saliciformis and A. xanthina.  相似文献

Lizards of the iguanid genus Anolis in Panama are parasitized by four species of Plasmodium. P.floridense occurs in A. limifrons, A. biporcatus, A. pentaprion and A. frenatus. The number of nuclei in mature schizonts is influenced by host species as is gametocyte shape but not gametocyte size. P. tropiduri parasitizes A. limifrons, A. pentaprion, A. biporcatus, A. frenatus, A. lionotus and A. poecilopus. The number of nuclei in schizonts varies according to host and type of blood cell parasitized. Gametocyte size varies slightly by host but shape remains relatively constant. Position of the parasite in the host cell may be affected by host species. Both schizonts and gametocytes are produced in white cells of all host species studied. P. balli occurs in A. limifrons, A. lionotus and A. poecilopus. Schizont and gametocyte size and shape are affected by host and blood cell type, with the parasite exhibiting different preferences for various blood cells in each host. P. minasense parasitizes A. limifrons, A. frenatus and A. capito, but its diagnosis in the last species may not be correct as gametocyte size and distribution of pigment differ considerably from other hosts. The mean number of nuclei in schizonts is not greatly affected by the host species. P. floridense is postulated to be of middle American origin in the genus Anolis, and to have reached Florida through the Caribbean.  相似文献

The planktonic phototrophic dinoflagellate Alexandrium pohangense sp. nov. isolated from the coastal waters off Korea is described from living and fixed cells by light and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). DNA sequence data were collected from the small subunit (SSU), the large subunit (LSU), internal transcribed spacer regions (ITS1 and ITS2), and 5.8S of the ribosomal DNA (rDNA). The SSU and LSU rDNA sequences of the new dinoflagellate were 4–7% and 14–17%, respectively, different from those of Alexandrium minutum, Alexandrium ostenfeldii, Alexandrium tamutum, Alexandrium margalefii, and Alexandrium pseudogonyaulax, the most closely related species. In addition, the 5.8S rDNA sequence of the new dinoflagellate was also 12% different from those of A. minutum, A. ostenfeldii, A. tamutum, and Alexandrium peruvianum. In a phylogenetic tree based on LSU rDNA sequences, A. pohangense formed a clade with A. margalefii, and this clade was clearly distinct from the clade of A. minutum, Alexandrium diversaporum, A. tamutum, Alexandrium leei, A. ostenfeldii, and Alexandirum andersoni. Moreover, in a phylogenetic tree based on SSU rDNA sequences, A. pohangense was positioned at the base of the clade containing A. leei and A. diversaporum. Morphological analysis showed that A. pohangense has a Kofoidian plate formula of Po, 4′, 6′′, 6c, 8s, 5′′′, and 2′′′′, which confirmed its assignment to the genus Alexandrium. This dinoflagellate has a wide rectangular 1′ plate, the upper left side of which is slightly bent, protruding, and touching the 2′ plate, unlike A. margalefii, which has a wide rectangular 1′ plate that does not touch the 2′ plate, or A. pseudogonyaulax and Alexandrium camurascutulum, which have a narrower elongated pentagonal 1′ plate that touches the 2′ plate. Furthermore, the 1′ plate of A. pohangense meets the 1′′ plate as a straight vertical line, whereas that of A. camurascutulum meets the 1′′ plate as an inclined line because it is lifted by the intrusion of the 1′′ plate. In addition, A. pohangense had a relatively small ventral pore whose majority was located on the 4′ plate, unlike A. margalefii or A. pseudogonyaulax, which have a relatively large ventral pore whose majority is located on the 1′ plate. Furthermore, A. pohangense had pores of two different sizes on the cell surface, unlike A. margalefii and A. pseudogonyaulax, which have similar pores of only one size. On the basis of morphological and phylogenetic criteria, it is proposed that this is a new species of the genus Alexandrium.  相似文献

A 6.8-kb fragment of Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus 4881 DNA containing the zoocin A gene (zooA) was cloned in Escherichia coli and sequenced. We have identified a gene we call zoocin A immunity factor (zif), which protects the producer cell from the otherwise lethal action of its own product. Transformation of Streptococcus gordonii DL1 with zooA and zif changed its phenotypic character from a non-zoocin A producing-zoocin A sensitive cell to a zoocin A producing-zoocin A resistant cell. zif has sequence homology to femA (factor essential for methicillin resistance) and lif (lysostaphin immunity factor). No differences were observed in amino acid or amino sugar compositions of peptidoglycan purified from zoocin A sensitive vs. zoocin A immune cells.  相似文献

The okra leafhopper, Amrasca (Sundapteryx) biguttula (Ishida) (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae), is an economically important pest of okra, Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench (Malvaceae), in Japan. During 2019 and 2022 surveys for its egg parasitoids (Hymenoptera) were conducted on Kyushu and Ryukyu islands in southern Japan. Five species of Mymaridae, Anagrus (Anagrus)?atomus (L.), A. (A.) japonicus Sahad, A. (A.) turpanicus Triapitsyn and Hu, Arescon enocki (Subba Rao and Kaur), and Stethynium empoascae Subba Rao, as well as one of Trichogrammatidae, Pseudoligosita nephotetticum (Mani), were recorded from eggs of A. biguttula on okra in Japan. Of these, A. (A.) turpanicus, identified using a combination of molecular and morphological methods, is newly recorded from Japan; A. (A.)?atomus, A. (A.) turpanicus and P. nephotetticum are for the first time reported from eggs of okra leafhopper.  相似文献
