The aim of the present study was to assess the effects of different organic and inorganic fertilizers on the functional diversity of soil microbial community under a vegetable production system. The Biolog® Eco-plate technique and indices, such as average well-colour development (AWCD), McIntosh and Shannon diversity were employed to study the diversity of soil microorganisms. The AWCD, i.e. overall utilization of carbon sources, suggested that different organic treatments had a significant impact on the metabolic activity of soil microorganisms. After 120 h, the highest AWCD values were observed in poultry manure (2.5 t·ha?1) + vermicompost (3.5 t·ha?1) (0.63) and farm yard manure (FYM) (10 t·ha?1) + vermicompost (3.5 t·ha?1) (0.61). After 72 h, the highest value of the McIntosh diversity index was recorded in poultry manure (2.5 t·ha?1) + vermicompost (3.5 t·ha?1) (3.87), followed by poultry manure (2.5 t·ha?1) + vermicompost (3.5 t·ha?1) + biofertilizers (Azotobacter 500 g·ha?1 applied as seed treatment) (3.12). In the case of the Shannon diversity index, the highest values were noticed in organic treatments; however, there was no significant differences between organic and inorganic treatments. Biplot analysis showed a clear differentiation of organic treatments from the inorganic control. The amino acids, phenolics and polymer utilizing microorganisms were dominant in organic treatments. Inorganic control recorded the lowest values of the microbial diversity indices. Through this study, we have identified the best combination of organic nutrients, i.e. poultry manure (2.5 t·ha?1) + vermicompost (3.5 t·ha?1) for the stimulation of metabolically active soil microbial communities.  相似文献

Abdominal fat accumulation is a major risk factor for cardiometabolic morbidity and mortality. The purpose of the study is to assess the possibility of developing accurate estimation equations based on body measurements to determine total abdominal (TFA), subcutaneous (SFA) and visceral fat area (VFA). Hungarian volunteers (n = 198) aged between 20 and 81 years were enrolled in the study, which was conducted between July and November 2014. All persons underwent anthropometric measurements and computer tomographic (CT) scanning. Sex-specific multiple linear regression analyses were conducted in a subgroup of 98 participants to generate estimation models, then Bland–Altman's analyses were applied in the cross-validation group to compare their predictive efficiency. The variables best predicting VFA were hip circumference, calf circumference and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) for males (R2 = 0.713; SEE = 5602.1 mm2) and sagittal abdominal diameter (SAD), WHR, thigh circumference and triceps skinfold for females (R2 = 0.845; SEE = 3835.6 mm2). The SFA prediction equation included SAD, thigh circumference and abdominal skinfold for males (R2 = 0.848; SEE = 4124.1 mm2), body mass index and thigh circumference for females (R2 = 0.861; SEE = 5049.7 mm2). Prediction accuracy was the highest in the case of TFA: hip circumference and WHR for males (R2 = 0.910; SEE = 5637.2 mm2), SAD, thigh circumference and abdominal skinfold for females (R2 = 0.915; SEE = 6197.5 mm2) were used in the equations. The results suggested that deviations in the predictions were independent of the amount of adipose tissue. Estimation of abdominal fat depots based on anthropometric traits could provide a cheap, reliable method in epidemiologic research and public health screening to evaluate the risk of cardiometabolic events.  相似文献

Decomposition processes were investigated in the soil of a declining, more eutrophic and a healthy, less eutrophic freshwater reed (Phragmites australis (Cav.) Trin. ex Steudel) stand in the littoral zone of Rožmberk fishpond, Czech Republic. Soil and pore water were sampled five times from April to October 1998. Chemical properties, CO2 production in oxic and anoxic conditions, CH4 production, denitrifying enzyme activity (DEA) and bacterial biomass were measured under laboratory conditions in suspensions prepared from homogenised soil samples. The more eutrophic West stand was more anaerobic than the East stand, with lower redox potential, lower pH and with a higher amount of organic acids, mainly acetic and lactic acid. Mean seasonal concentrations of total nitrogen in pore water, nitrogen of amino acids and proteins, and reducing sugars were all higher in the soil at the more eutrophic stand. Higher nutrient status and more reduced conditions at the more eutrophic stand were accompanied by (i) a limitation of aerobic microbial activities (CO2 production in oxic conditions: 0.35 versus 0.54 μmol CO2 cm−3 h−1); lower DEA (4.0 versus 20.2 nmol N2O cm−3 h−1) and a lower proportion of bacteria that were active in aerobic conditions; (ii) by a prevalence of anaerobic over aerobic microbial processes; (iii) by a higher rate of methanogenesis (15.0 versus 11.5 nmol CH4 cm−3 h−1) and (iv) by an overall lower rate of microbial processes as compared to less eutrophied stand. The shift from aerobic to anaerobic microbial metabolism, and a coinciding restriction of metabolic activities at the more eutrophic stand are indicative of an elevated oxygen stress in the soil, associated with accumulation of metabolites toxic to both the micro-organisms and the reed. Possible links between eutrophication, decomposition processes in the soil and reed decline are discussed.  相似文献

2-Amino-4-{[3-(carboxymethyl)phenoxy](methoxy)phosphoryl}butanoic acid (GGsTop) is a potent, highly selective, nontoxic, and irreversible inhibitor of γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT). GGsTop has been widely used in academic and medicinal research, and also as an active ingredient (Nahlsgen) in commercial anti-aging cosmetics. GGsTop consists of four stereoisomers due to the presence of two stereogenic centers, i.e., the α-carbon atom of the glutamate mimic (l/d) and the phosphorus atom (RP/SP). In this study, each stereoisomer of GGsTop was synthesized stereoselectively and their inhibitory activity against human GGT was evaluated. The l- and d-configurations of each stereoisomer were determined by a combination of a chiral pool synthesis and chiral HPLC analysis. The synthesis of the four stereoisomers of GGsTop used chiral synthetic precursors that were separated by chiral HPLC on a preparative scale. With respect to the configuration of the α-carbon atom of the glutamate mimic, the l-isomer (kon = 174 M?1 s?1) was ca. 8-fold more potent than the d-isomer (kon = 21.5 M?1 s?1). In contrast, the configuration of the phosphorus atom is critical for GGT inhibitory activity. Based on a molecular modeling approach, the absolute configuration of the phosphorus atom of the active GGsTop isomers was postulated to be SP. The SP-isomers inhibited human GGT (kon = 21.5–174 M?1 s?1), while the RP-isomers were inactive even at concentrations of 0.1 mM.  相似文献

A field experiment was conducted to assess the influences of soil chemical, physical, and biological properties of Alhagi sparsifolia community in Linze, Gaotai, and Guazhou County, Gansu province, China. Results showed that soils sampled were generally infertile with low levels of organic matter, available nitrogen, phosphorus, copper, manganese, and zinc with bacteria dominant microbial communities supporting A. sparsifolia. Available potassium and iron were sufficient in the study sites. With increasing soil layer depth, the contents of organic matter, available nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, manganese, urease, dehydrogenase, bacteria, and actinomyces in the soil decreased significantly (P < 0.05), whereas the concentrations of moisture, available iron, and zinc in the soil increased significantly (P < 0.05). The contents of organic matter, available nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, urease, dehydrogenase, bacteria, and actinomyces showed strong seasonal variations (P < 0.05). All these variables except dehydrogenase, bacteria, and actinomyces were the highest in summer and the lowest in spring. The comprehensive score of soil qualities was the greatest in Linze, medium in Guazhou, and lowest in Gaotai.  相似文献

Western Hubei is the most concentrated area of forest resources in Hubei Province, and the knowledge of the distribution characteristics of ecosystem carbon density is important to understand the regional characteristics of carbon density and its mechanism of formation. Carbon density and factors influencing different layers in the ecosystem were studied by using field data. The average carbon density of ecosystems in western Hubei was 159.05 t/hm2; the carbon density of different forest types in descending order was Abies fargesii forests (362.25 t/hm2), mixed broadleaf-conifer forests (154.13 t/hm2), broad-leaved forests (146.09 t/hm2), and coniferous forests (135.76 t/hm2), and ecosystem carbon density increased with increasing age. The carbon density of the arborous layer, shrub layer, and soil layer of A. fargesii forests was significant higher than that of the other forests (P < 0.05), indicating the carbon storage per unit area of A. fargesii forests, which grow at higher elevations, was the greatest. The carbon density in arborous layers of broad-leaved forests, mixed broadleaf-conifer forests, and coniferous forests was 39.29 t/hm2, 48.99 t/hm2, and 48.39 t/hm2, respectively. Those of the soil layer were 102.96 t/hm2, 100.97 t/hm2, and 82.37 t/hm2, respectively, and there were no significant differences among them. Among the three forest types, carbon density in the litter layer was greater than that of the shrub layer, which indicated the litter layer plays an important role in carbon storage. The carbon density of mixed broadleaf-conifer forests was greatest, excluding A. fargesii forests, in medium (58.71 t/hm2) and mature forests (79.66 t/hm2). Thus, the carbon sink of mixed broadleaf-conifer forests had more potential than the others at the medium and mature forest stage. The soil layer carbon density in different forests constituted 60.67—70.48% of the entire ecosystem, and was 1.70—2.62 times greater than that of the arborous layer. There are many factors influencing ecosystem carbon density, which result from the interaction of environmental and topographical factors. The main explanatory variables of carbon density of the region were altitude, precipitation, and canopy density. The vegetation and soil layer carbon density increased as altitude increased, and the rate of change for every vertical 100 m was 1.3 t/hm2 and 1.9 t/hm2, respectively (P < 0.05). Although the annual average precipitation only affected the carbon density of the vegetation, it increased to 4 t/hm2 (P < 0.01) when average precipitation was >100 mm.  相似文献

The present study investigates the variation in the relative growth, biomass and nutrient allocation in two threatened tree species viz. Magnolia punduana Hook.f. & Th. and Elaeocarpus prunifolius Wall. ex Müll. Berol. grown under three different levels of irradiance. The irradiance ranged between 1 and 12 mol m?2 d?1. Results showed that the highest relative growth rate (RGR) was achieved under the intermediate light treatment for both the species (mean: 0.005 mg mg?1 d?1). The growth response coefficient (GRC) model revealed that net assimilation rate (NAR) was the factor driving the RGR in both species. A significant positive correlation was found between NAR and RGR (R2 = 0.33, p = 0.000) whereas specific leaf area (SLA) and leaf mass fraction (LMF) was negatively correlated to RGR. Overall, multiple regression of the studied species based on the independent variables viz. NAR, SLA, and LMF showed a significant relation with RGR (F(3,50,53 = 13.001, p = 0.000, R2 = 0.43). The biomass distribution in the studied species is in agreement with the “balanced-growth hypothesis” where high irradiance increased allocation to below ground biomass fraction and decreased irradiance increased allocation to the above ground fraction. The highest nitrogen concentration in leaves was observed under the intermediate light treatment. Overall seedlings growth under intermediate light had a higher mean RGR indicating the species' preference for partial light conditions. Long-term experiments under varied light conditions as in the present study would provide useful insight into plant growth strategies in varied environmental conditions.  相似文献

This study was conducted to evaluate the chemical composition of asafoetida (Ferula assa-foetida) essential oil (FAEO) and Shirazi thyme (Zataria multiflora) EO (ZMEO) and their impact on vase life of gerbera cut flowers (Gerbera jamesonii cv. Rosalyn). Five concentrations of both, ZMEO and FAEO including 0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 mg L?1 used as continuous vase solution for gerbera cut flowers. EOs used in this study were extracted by hydrodistillation method using Clevenger apparatus. They were analyzed by GC and GC–MS for determination of the active compounds. Thirty five compounds were identified in ZMEO, mainly including thymol (40.1%), p-cymene (15.5%) and carvacrol (6.5%). Also, thirty compounds were identified in FAEO. The main components were trans propenyl sec-butyl disulfide (21.7%), eudesmol (10-epu-γ) (19.2%) and cis propenyl sec-butyl disulfide (10.2%). The results showed that both ZMEO and FAEO at all concentrations could act as an effective antibacterial compounds and this property increased by increasing their concentration. The results of this research showed that ZMEO increased the vase life at all concentrations but high concentrations of FAEO increased mortality percentage and reduced the vase life of cut flowers. The relative fresh weight and vase solution uptake of gerbera cut flowers increased by the applied EOs treatments. ZMEO at 400 mg L? 1 and FAEO at 300 and 400 mg L? 1 resulted the least stem color change. Overall, 200 mg L? 1 ZMEO and 100 mg L? 1 FAEO were the best treatments for maintenance of gerbera cut flowers quality during vase life.  相似文献

Thirty-six new α-benzylidene-γ-lactone compounds based α-methylene-γ-butyrolactone substructure were prepared and characterized by spectroscopic analysis. All compounds were evaluated for antifungal activities in vitro against six plant pathogenic fungi and the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) against Botrytis cinerea and Colletotrichum lagenarium were investigated. Compounds 5c-3 and 5c-5 with the halogen atom exhibited excellent fungicidal activity against B. cinerea (IC50 = 22.91, 18.89 μM). The structure-activity relationships (SARs) analysis indicated that the derivatives with electron-withdrawing substituents at the meta- or para-positions improves the activity. Via the heuristic method, the generated quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) model (R2 = 0.961) revealed a strong correlation of antifungal activity against B. cinerea with molecular structures of these compounds. Meanwhile, the cytotoxicity of 20 representative derivatives was tested in the human tumor cells line (HepG2) and the hepatic L02 cells line, the result indicated that the synthesized compounds showed significant inhibitory activity and limited selectivity. Compound 5c-5 has the highest fungicidal activity with IC50 = 18.89 μM (against B. cinerea.) but low cytotoxicity with IC50 = 35.4 μM (against HepG2 cell line) and IC50 = 68.8 μM (against Hepatic L02 cell line). These encouraging results can be providing an alternative, promising use of α-benzylidene-γ-lactone through the design and exploration of eco-friendly fungicides with low toxicity and high efficiency.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to determine the nitrogen transformation test of abamectin 3.6 g/L EC. This study was conducted as per OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals OECD 216. The test item abamectin 3.6 g/L emulsifiable concentrate (EC) was applied in a loamy sand soil and incubated over a period of 28 days for nitrogen transformation test at concentrations of 3.2 μL/kg soil dry weight and 16 μL/kg soil dry weight. The concentrations tested were based on one and five times the maximum recommended field application rates of 1200 mL/ha and 6000 mL/ha of abamectin 3.6 g/L EC, respectively. The deviation in soil nitrate content determined at 28 days after application of the test item to soil compared to the control was 0.14% and ? 9.25% for the single and five times test concentrations, respectively. There is no significant variation between the treatment groups and control sample. The rate of nitrate formation between 14 and 28 days after application of the test item to soil deviate from control by 10.41% and 13.74% for 3.2 and 16 μL/kg soil dry weight, respectively. Deviations in nitrate levels and nitrate formation rates in soil treated with up to and including 16 μL/kg of test item/kg soil dry weight were < 25%, compared to control indicating no significant effect occurred in nitrogen transformation.  相似文献

This study evaluates height loss during the day in light of variables assessable through participant self-report. Participants were 19 female and 15 male staff and students who met with us twice with a mean interval between measurement sessions of 6.96 h (SD = 0.86). Hypotheses were evaluated using two-stage least squares regression analysis (SYSTAT 10). Males and females lost similar amounts of height between sessions (male,x¯=6.9mm;female,x¯=7.4mm). Among factors considered to impact overall height loss, sleep duration (Adj. R2 = 0.181, p = 0.022) and height (Adj. R2 = 0.121, p = 0.048) were useful in univariate analyses, though they were not significant in any models that included variables other than sex. Judging from log-transformed BMI variation, heavier males and females lost more height (F(2, 31) = 4.59, Adj. R2 = 0.179, p = 0.018). Among factors anticipated to reduce height loss by acting prior to morning measurements, only time spent walking was significantly associated (β = 2.6 ± 0.8 mm, t = 3.16, p = 0.004) when included as a predictor along with sex (p = 0.17) and log-BMI (p = 0.003). This model explained about 38% of height loss variance. None of the factors considered as potentially acting between measurement sessions showed statistically significant influences when included in the model just described, though predictor coefficients were in the anticipated direction. Results suggest that self-reported activities may be an important supplement to anthropometric studies, both for planning and later evaluation, particularly in large studies.  相似文献

This study focused on understanding the termite traveling behavior. Artificial tunnels with different curvatures and base surface roughness were constructed. Each tunnel was 50 mm in length, with widths of W (W = 2, 3, or 4 mm). The distance between the two ends of the tunnel was D (D = 20, 30, 40, or 50 mm). A higher value of D means a lower curvature. The roughness, R (R = 60, 120, 240 and ∞), was generated by uniformly sanding the substrate with a sanding machine. A higher R value means a finer base surface. The symbol ∞ represents a smooth surface. Time (τ) taken by a termite to pass through the tunnel was measured. τ was longer in tunnels with a smooth surface compared with the tunnels with a rough surface. When W = 2, there was no effect of the roughness on speed. This is because the narrow tunnel width diluted the effects of the smoothness of the surface. When W = 3, τ was statistically shorter for R = 240, than for R = 60 and 120. This suggests that an appropriate surface roughness could positively contribute to the traveling speed.  相似文献

There has been less understanding of relations of microbial community patterns with plant diversity in constructed wetlands. We conducted a single full-scale subsurface vertical flow constructed wetland (SVFCW, 1000 m2) study focusing on domestic wastewater processing. This study measured the size and structure of microbial community using fumigation extraction and BIOLOG Ecoplate? techniques, to examine the effects of macrophyte diversity on microbial communities that are critical in treatment efficiency of constructed wetlands. We also determined the relationship of plant diversity (species richness) with its biomass production under disturbance of the same wastewater supply. Linear regression analysis showed that plant biomass production strongly correlated with plant species richness (R = 0.407, P < 0.001). Increase in plant species richness increased microbial biomass carbon and nitrogen (R = 0.494, P < 0.001; R = 0.465, P < 0.001) and utilization of amino acids on Ecoplates (R = 0.235, P = 0.03), but limited the utilization of amine/amides (R = ?0.338, P = 0.013). Principal components analysis (PCA) showed that the diversity and community-level physiological profiles (CLPP) of microbial community at 168 h of incubation strongly depended on the presence or absence of plant species in the SVFCW system, but not on the species richness. This is the first step toward understanding relations of plant diversity with soil microbial community patterns in constructed wetlands, but the effect of species diversity on microbial community should be further studied.  相似文献

Taxonomic assignments of anaerobic dichloromethane (DCM)-degrading bacteria remain poorly constrained but are important for understanding the microbial diversity of organisms contributing to DCM turnover in environmental systems. We describe the taxonomic classification of a novel DCM degrader in consortium RM obtained from pristine Rio Mameyes sediment. Phylogenetic analysis of full-length 16S rRNA gene sequences demonstrated that the DCM degrader was most closely related to members of the genera Dehalobacter and Syntrophobotulus, but sequence similarities did not exceed 94% and 93%, respectively. Genome-aggregate average amino acid identities against Peptococcaceae members did not exceed 66%, suggesting that the DCM degrader does not affiliate with any described genus. Phylogenetic analysis of conserved single-copy functional genes supported that the DCM degrader represents a novel clade. Growth strictly depended on the presence of DCM, which was consumed at a rate of 160 ± 3 μmol L?1 d?1. The DCM degrader attained 5.25 × 107 ± 1.0 × 107 cells per μmol DCM consumed. Fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed rod-shaped cells 4 ± 0.8 μm long and 0.4 ± 0.1 μm wide. Based on the unique phylogenetic, genomic, and physiological characteristics, we propose that the DCM degrader represents a new genus and species, ‘Candidatus Dichloromethanomonas elyunquensis’.  相似文献

Application of rhizospheric microbes to enhance the phytoremediation of organic pollutants has gained considerable attention recently due to their beneficial effects on the survival and growth of plants in contaminated soil sites. The present study was demonstrated to test the combined rhizoremediation potential of Staphylococcus cohnii subspecies urealyticus in the presence of tolerant plant Withania somnifera grown in lindane spiked soil. Withania was grown in garden soil spiked with 20 mg kg−1 of lindane and inoculated with 100 ml of microbial culture (8.1 × 106 CFU). Effect of microbial inoculation on plant growth, lindane uptake, microbial biomass carbon, dehydrogenase activity, residual lindane concentration and lindane dissipation percentage were analyzed. The microbial inoculation significantly enhances the growth and lindane uptake potential of test plant (p < 0.05). Furthermore, there was an enhanced dissipation of lindane observed in microbial inoculated soil than the dissipation rate in non-inoculated soil (p < 0.01) and the dissipation rate was positively correlated with the soil dehydrogenase activity and microbial biomass carbon (p < 0.05). The study concludes that the integrated use of tolerant plant species and rhizospheric microbial inoculation can enhance the dissipation of lindane, and have practical application for the in situ remediation of contaminated soils.  相似文献

Microorganisms classified in to the Pseudomonas genus are a ubiquitous bacteria inhabiting variety of environmental niches and have been isolated from soil, sediment, water and different parts of higher organisms (plants and animals). Members of this genus are known for their metabolic versatility and are able to utilize different chemical compounds as a source of carbon, nitrogen or phosphorus, which makes them an interesting microorganism for bioremediation or bio-transformation. Moreover, Pseudomonas sp. has been described as a microorganism that can easily adapt to new environmental conditions due to its resistance to the presence of high concentrations of heavy metals or chemical pollution. Here we present the isolation and analysis of Pseudomonas silesiensis sp. nov. strain A3T isolated from peaty soil used in a biological wastewater treatment plant exploited by a pesticide packaging company. Phylogenetic MLSA analysis of 4 housekeeping genes (16S rRNA, gyrB, rpoD and rpoB), complete genome sequence comparison (ANIb, Tetranucleotide identity, digital DDH), FAME analysis, and other biochemical tests indicate the A3T strain (type strain PCM 2856T = DSM 103370T) differs significantly from the closest relative species and therefore represents a new species within the Pseudomonas genus. Moreover, bioinformatic analysis of the complete sequenced genome showed that it consists of 6,823,539 bp with a 59.58 mol% G + C content and does not contain any additional plasmids. Genome annotation predicted the presence of 6066 genes, of which 5875 are coding proteins and 96 are RNA genes.  相似文献

Background

Synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) through biological route plays an important role in their applications in the medical field, especially in the prevention of disease causing microbial pathogens and arresting the propagation of cancer cells. The stable, green synthesis of AgNPs is very much welcomed in the medical field because of their low toxicity. Therefore, the demands of AgNPs synthesised biologically is on the rise. The present study aimed to investigate the antimicrobial mechanisms and anticancer properties of the AgNPs synthesized using the seed extract of Trigonella foenum-graecum L. The AgNPs were characterized by UV–vis, SEM, XRD, FTIR and EDAX analysis. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of the AgNPs were determined by the broth micro dilution method.

Results

The formation of brownish red color indicated the formation NPs with the absorption maximum at 420 nm. The average size was found to be 33.93 nm and sphere shaped. The FTIR spectrum revealed the absorption bands at 3340 cm?1 and 1635 cm?1 indicated the presence of OH or COOH and amide group stretching in the AgNPs. The X-ray diffraction report confirmed the presence of strong peak values of 2θ within the angle of 37.1°. The lowest MIC of the AgNPs against Staphylococcus aureus was 62.5 μg mL?1. MIC values against Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumonia, were 125 and 250 μg mL?1 respectively. The MIC of the AgNPs against Aspergillus flavus, Trichophyton rubrum and Trichoderma viridiae were each 250 μg mL?1, respectively. The extracellular protein concentration, levels of lactate dehydrogenase and alkaline phosphtase enzyme in the AgNPs treated bacterial pathogens demonstrated greater antimicrobial mechanism. Additionally, the AgNPs exhibited significant anticancer activity against the MCF7 and Vero cell lines.

Conclusion

The synthesized AgNPs could be further evaluated in large scale as a botanical antimicrobial agent.  相似文献

Chlorpyrifos (O,O-diethyl O-(3,5,6-trichloro-2-pyridyl) phosphorothioate), is an organophosphate insecticide effective against a broad spectrum of insect pests of economically important crops. The present study investigated the effects of chlorpyrifos application on sulfate assimilation and macro elemental composition in different plant parts at different phenological stages. Field experiments were conducted in the month of April 2008–2009. The individual plot size was 6 m2 (4 m × 1.5 m) having 4 rows with a row-to-row distance of 15 inches and plant to plant distance of 10 inches. The number of plants per m2 was 15. Seedlings were collected at 5 (preflowering), 10 (flowering) and 20 (postflowering) DAT (day after treatment) to analyze the effect of chlorpyrifos on APR activity and elemental composition. At harvest stage, seed from individual treatments were analyzed for sulfur containing amino acids like methionine and cysteine content. Twenty-day-old seedlings of Vigna radiata L. were subjected to chlorpyrifos at different concentrations ranging from 0 to 1.5 mM through foliar spray in the field condition. A significant increase (50% in cysteine content and 50–92% in methionine content) in sulfur containing amino acids at a higher dose rate of 1.5 mM was recorded in seeds, however the increased activity of adenosine 5-phosphosulfate reductase (APR), the key enzyme in sulfate assimilation was recorded in all the three parts of the plant (leaf, stem, root.). Transiently lower nitrogen, sulfur and carbon content in 0.6 and 1.5 mM chlorpyrifos application in V. radiata L. supports the inhibition of metabolic processes. However, reverse trend was exhibited at 0.3 mM for same parameters. These results suggest the stimulatory effects on sulfate assimilation in V. radiata L. while as inhibitory effects were prevalent on elemental composition.  相似文献

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of commercially used entomopathogens on Africanized Apis mellifera L. (Hymenoptera: Apidae). Four bioassays were performed: 1) pulverized entomopathogens on A. mellifera; 2) entomopathogens sprayed on a smooth surface; 3) entomopathogens sprayed on soy leaves; and 4) entomopathogens mixed with candy paste (sugar syrup). Five treatments were prepared: sterile distilled water (control), distilled water sterilized with Tween® 80 (0.01%), and the commercial entomopathogens Metarhizium anisopliae E9 (1.0 × 109 conidia mL?1), Beauveria bassiana PL63 (1.0 × 108 conidia mL?1) and Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki HD-1 (3.0 × 108 spores mL?1). Each treatment consisted of five repetitions, with 20 workers per repetition, which were stored in a plastic box and, later, in a biological oxygen demand (B.O.D.) incubator (27 ± 2 °C, RH of 60% ± 10%, 12-h photophase). The mortality of the workers was evaluated from 1 h to 240 h, and the data were analyzed using Bayesian inference. The workers killed by the ingestion of candy paste contaminated with the pathogens (products) were randomly separated and selected for the removal of the midgut. Each midgut was fixed in Bouin's solution and prepared for histology. B. bassiana was verified to reduce the survival of A. mellifera workers in all bioassays. Moreover, M. anisopliae reduced the survival of A. mellifera workers directly sprayed, on a smooth surface and mixed with candy. B. thuringiensis reduced A. mellifera survival on a smooth surface and mixed with candy paste. However, its effects were lower than that observed by B. bassiana. A series of novel 2-substituted aminocycloalkylsulfonamides were designed and synthesized by highly selective N-alkylation reaction, whose structures were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS. Among them, the configuration of compounds III12 and III20 were confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Bioassays demonstrated that the title compounds had considerable effects on different strains of Botrytis cinerea and Pyricularia grisea. Comparing with positive control procymidone (EC50 = 10.31 mg/L), compounds III28, III29, III30 and III31 showed excellent fungicidal activity against a strain of B. cinerea (CY-09), with EC50 values of 3.17, 3.04, 2.54 and 1.99 mg/L respectively. Their in vivo fungicidal activities were also better than the positive controls cyprodinil, procymidone, boscalid and carbendazim in pot experiments. Moreover, the fungicidal activity of III28 (EC50 = 4.62 mg/L) against P. grisea was also better than that of the positive control isoprothiolane (EC50 = 6.11 mg/L). Compound III28 would be great promise as a hit compound for further study based on the structure-activity relationship.  相似文献
