泥螺为雌雄同体。生殖系统包括交媾器和生殖器本部。交媾器包括刺激器、阴茎和摄护腺;生殖器本部主要包括两性腺、缠卵腺和蛋白腺。刺激器和阴茎都具有非常发达的肌肉组织,腔壁游离面具纤毛。阴茎腔壁为单层柱状细胞;摄护腺被膜为一层薄的肌纤维,里面具有许多分泌细胞;缠卵腺被膜为单层扁平上皮,下层为环肌,腺体组织由分泌小管构成。蛋白腺主要由皮质层和导管层组成,皮质层内充满了分泌细胞,导管层由许多分泌小管构成,管壁为柱状腺细胞。  相似文献

The spermatozoon of Chiton marginatus is a long uniflagellate cell displaying structural features of “modified sperm.” The nucleus presents a conical shape with a long apical cylindrical extension. The chromatin is homogeneously dense. Scattered inside the condensed nucleus, a few nuclear lacunae are visible. The acrosomal complex is lacking. Some mitochondria are located in a laterofrontal structure side by side with the nucleus. The typical midpiece is absent. The cytoplasm forms a thin layer around the nucleus and the mitochondria. The proximal centriole is in a basal nuclear indent. The distal centriole serves to form the axoneme tail with the usual microtubular pattern. During nuclear maturation, the early spermatid nucleus is spherical and contains fine granular chromatin patches. The nuclear envelope shows a deposit of dense material at the base of the nucleus, forming a semicircular invagination occupied by a flocculent mass. In middle spermatid stage, the chromatin gets organized in filaments, coiled as a hank, attached over the inner surface of the basal thickening of the nuclear envelope. The nucleus starts to elongate anteroposteriorly. At the pointed apical portion of the spermatid, a group of microtubules is observed seeming to impose external pressure to the nucleus giving rise to the long apical nuclear point. The mitochondria have a basal position. Late spermatids have an elongated conical nucleus. The chromatin filaments are further condensed, and lacunae appear inside the nucleus. The sperm of Marthasterias glacialis (Linnaeus) was studied by light and electron microscopy. It is a long uniflagellated cell of the “primitive” type. The head has a spherical shape and contains a nucleus with a spheroid acrosome lying in a cup-shaped anterior fossa. The acrosome is formed by an acrosomal vesicle surrounded by the periacrosomal material. The basal specializations of the acrosomal vesicle show a clear differentiation of its constituents resembling the structure of membrane. The midpiece contains a very large annular mitochondrion which encircles two perpendicular centrioles. The distal centriole is in close association with a pericentriolar radial complex. The tail, containing a common microtubular axoneme, is projected to a variable position.  相似文献

Scanning and transmission electron microscopy were used to investigate the fine structure of the sperm of the sparid fish Sparus aurata L. The mature spermatozoon of gilthead sea bream belongs, like that of the other sparid fish, to a "type I" as defined by Mattei (1970). It has a spherical head which lacks an acrosome, a short, irregularly-shaped midpiece and a long cylindrical tail. The nucleus reveals a deep invagination (nuclear fossa) in which the centriolar complex is located. The two centrioles are approximately perpendicular to each other and show a conventional "9+0" pattern. The proximal centriole is associated with a cross-striated cylindrical body lying inside a peculiar satellite nuclear notch which appears as a narrow invagination of the nuclear fossa. The distal centriole is attached to the nuclear envelope by means of a lateral plate and radial fibres made of an electron-dense material. The short midpiece houses one mitochondrion. The flagellum is inserted perpendicularly into the base of the nucleus and contains the conventional 9+2 axoneme.  相似文献

The possibility is discussed of determining the amplitude and phase of a static resonant error field in a tokamak by means of dynamic magnetic measurements. The method proposed assumes measuring the plasma response to a varying external helical magnetic field with a small (a few gauss) amplitude. The case is considered in which the plasma is probed by square pulses with a duration much longer than the time of the transition process. The plasma response is assumed to be linear, with a proportionality coefficient being dependent on the plasma state. The analysis is carried out in a standard cylindrical approximation. The model is based on Maxwell’s equations and Ohm’s law and is thus capable of accounting for the interaction of large-scale modes with the conducting wall of the vacuum chamber. The method can be applied to existing tokamaks.  相似文献

The sensillum of the ear of Feltia subgothica contains two ciliated receptor cells, the A cells. The cilium of each is enclosed within a well developed scolops consisting of a cap, a set of scolopalial rods and a collar, an unusual structure contained within the dendrite. The tip of the cilium is inserted in a channel in the scolopalial cap. The cap is linked to the tympanic membrane by a series of three structures: a cap cell, a microtubular shaft and a microfibrillar plug. The two latter structures are heavily reinforced by cytoskeletal elements and the microfibrillar plug is actually continuous with the tympanic membrane. These three structures transmit the vibration of the tympanic membrane to the scolops. The simplicity and accessibility of the ear suggests that it might be a good system in which to investigate cellular events associated with transduction of sound in these receptors.  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the seminal vesicle's spermatozoa of the butterfly Euptoieta hegesia was analyzed. The apyrene spermatozoa measure about 300 microm in length and swim freely in a secretion. The anterior end consists in a cap with a cylindrical extension and a globular structure. The flagellum has a 9+9+2 axoneme, two mitochondrial derivatives with paracrystalline matrices and an external coat formed by concentric layers. The eupyrene spermatozoa measure about 550 microm in length and are grouped into bundles. The anterior end consists in an amorphous globule. Posterior to this globule, a coat with a dense material covers the spermatozoon where an acrosome and a nucleus appear. The flagellum has a 9+9+2 axoneme and two mitochondrial derivatives. External to the coat and attached to the dense material, there is a reticular appendage, which has a paracrystalline core and extends to the distal tip of the spermatozoon.  相似文献

This study presents a mathematical model, which expresses the absorbance of a photosynthetic sample as a non-linear polynomial of selected reference absorbance. The non-linearity is explained by inhomogeneities of a product of pigment concentration and light path length in the sample. The quadratic term of the polynomial reflects the extent of inhomogeneities, and the cubic term is related to deviation of the product distribution from a symmetric one. The model was tested by measurements of suspension of unstacked tobacco thylakoid membranes of different chlorophyll concentrations in cuvettes of different thicknesses. The absorbance was calculated from the diffuse transmittance and reflectance of sample, illuminated by perpendicular collimated light. The evaluated quantity was a sensitivity defined as the relative difference between the sample absorbance and the reference absorbance to the reference absorbance. The non-linearity of sample absorbance was demonstrated by a characteristic deviation of the sensitivity spectrum from a constant value. The absorbance non-linearity decreased on an increase of the product of pigment concentration and cuvette thickness. The model suggests that the sieve and detour effects influence the absorbance in a similar way. The model may be of interest in modeling of leaf or canopy optics including light absorption and scattering.  相似文献

The Bittacidae are unique in Mecoptera for their adults being predaceous. However, their mouthparts have not been well documented for functional morphology to date. Here, we investigated the mouthpart morphology of the hangingflies Bittacus planus Cheng and Terrobittacus implicatus (Huang & Hua) using scanning electron microscopy. The mouthparts are of the mandibulate type and situated at the tip of an elongated rostrum. The labrum is greatly elongated, roughly twice as long as the subquadrate clypeus. The epipharynx is furnished with a row of basiconic sensilla arranged evenly as a median band extending from the apex to the base. The mandibles are slender and elongated, bearing a sharp lateral and a small mesal tooth. The maxillae are well developed, each consisting of a partially sclerotized cardo and a stipes, a hirsute galea and a lacinia, and a five-segmented maxillary palp. The sensillar pattern on the distal segment of the maxillary palp differs slightly between the two bittacid species. The labium is composed of a postmentum, a prementum, and a pair of two-segmented labial palps. The feeding mechanism of bittacids is briefly discussed in combination with the mouthpart morphology and their feeding habits.  相似文献

The fine structure of the statocyst sensilla of Neomysis integer was investigated. The statocyst contains about 35 sensilla, which are composed of two bipolar sensory cells, nine enveloping cells, and a seta. The sensory cells consist of an axon, a perikaryon, and a dendrite. The dendrite contains a proximal segment with a ciliary rootlet and at least one basal body, and a distal segment with a ciliary axoneme (9 × 2 + 0) at its base. The distal segment extends along the peripheral wall of the seta and is in close contact with the wall of the hair shaft. The enveloping cells surround the proximal and distal segments of the dendrite. The innermost enveloping cell contains a scolopale rod. It surrounds the receptor lymph cavity and secretes flocculent material into this cavity. From the tip of the cell a dendritic sheath, which encloses the distal segment of the dendrite, emerges. A peculiar feature of the second enveloping cell is the presence of a scolopale-like rod, which is more slender and less pronounced than in the first enveloping cell. The seta consists of three parts: a socket, a tubular midpart, and a gutter-like apical part, the tip of which penetrates into the statolith. The seta shows over its full length a bilaterally symmetrical axis that is coplanar with the plane in which the seta is bent toward the statolith. The structure of the seta and the position of the distal segments provide morphological evidence for directional sensitivity of the sensilla and for the magnitude of shear on the setal wall being an adequate stimulus.  相似文献

Iron-sulfur proteins play indispensable roles in a broad range of biochemical processes. The biogenesis of iron-sulfur proteins is a complex process that has become a subject of extensive research. The final step of iron-sulfur protein assembly involves transfer of an iron-sulfur cluster from a cluster-donor to a cluster-acceptor protein. This process is facilitated by a specialized chaperone system, which consists of a molecular chaperone from the Hsc70 family and a co-chaperone of the J-domain family. The 3.0 A crystal structure of a human mitochondrial J-type co-chaperone HscB revealed an L-shaped protein that resembles Escherichia coli HscB. The important difference between the two homologs is the presence of an auxiliary metal-binding domain at the N terminus of human HscB that coordinates a metal via the tetracysteine consensus motif CWXCX(9-13)FCXXCXXXQ. The domain is found in HscB homologs from animals and plants as well as in magnetotactic bacteria. The metal-binding site of the domain is structurally similar to that of rubredoxin and several zinc finger proteins containing rubredoxin-like knuckles. The normal mode analysis of HscB revealed that this L-shaped protein preferentially undergoes a scissors-like motion that correlates well with the conformational changes of human HscB observed in the crystals.  相似文献

The Schmoluchowski equation is introduced into the problem of single file ion diffusion in a channel. The ions mutually interact due to coulomb repulsion and are also subject to a single ion potential due to the channel. The positions of the ions are represented by a continuous co-ordinate. The problem is reduced to the solution of a pair of transfer integral equations. The resistivity of finite and infinite channels is calculated for various dielectric constants and mean ionic separations. The ionic density for finite channels is also calculated. The results clearly demonstrate that strong coulomb interaction leads to a co-operative motion of the ions across channels.  相似文献

The spermatheca of Murgantia histrionica (Hahn) was investigated using fluorescence, scanning and transmission electron microscopy. The aim of the study was to elucidate the structure of this organ, pointing out differences between mated and unmated females. Results have shown an elaborated cuticular structure associated with muscular and glandular tissues. The spermatheca is joined with the common oviduct by the spermathecal duct, forming a thin saccular dilation through two consecutive invaginations. The distal part of the organ is formed by a series of two communicating cuticular chambers. The first cylindrical-shaped chamber, corresponding to the coiled region, is wrapped by longitudinal muscular fibers suspended between two cuticular flanges. The contractions of these fibers compress a deformable zone of the cylinder, pumping the sperm toward the spermathecal duct. Without contractions the cylinder results to be isolated from the proximal part of the spermatheca by means of a valve. The second chamber, corresponding to the spermatheca, is made of two parts: a truncated-conical sub chamber, with a constant cuticular thickness, bearing on itself the distal flange, where muscular fibers are attached. The second part is a bulb-like structure wrapped in a glandular epithelium. The secretory units are composed by two cells: a secretory cell and an associated duct cell. Every evacuating duct shows a little reservoir just after the terminal apparatus, and converge inside the distal bulb after a tortuous path. The functional implications of this structure in the reproductive biology of M. histrionica are discussed.  相似文献

The cholinergic, histaminergic and adrenergic features of regulation of the small muscles contractile activity in a vascular wall of a pulmonary artery in rabbits and involvement of an endothelium in these processes, were investigated. The cholinergic release phenomenon of small muscles of the rabbit pulmonary artery has a two-component character of dose dependence. The low-threshold components of Pilocarpinum relaxing effect has an endothelium-dependent nature. The important feature of histaminergic regulation of contractile activity of segments involves a direct contractile effect of histamine that is not inherent. The endothelium renders a suppressing effect on histaminergic contraction of small muscles of the rabbit pulmonary artery. A basic feature of adrenergic regulation of the pulmonary artery involves registered-beta-adrenergic contractile effects in small muscles of a vascular wall. The activation of the cAMP-dependent signal system in small muscles of a pulmonary artery is capable of rendering a contractile effect. The detected features of a regulation in the small circle can have an essential clinical-physiological value.  相似文献

The substrate and the action mechanism of a nuclease named nuclease TT1, from the culture broth of an extreme thermophile, Thermus thermophilus HB8, were investigated. The enzyme is nonspecific for the sugar moiety and cleaves both single- and double-stranded DNAs, rRNA, tRNA and oligonucleotides irrespective of chain length to produce 5'-mononucleotides exonucleolitically. The action mechanism is processive and the enzyme shows no porality of degradation. The minimal unit as a substrate is a 5'-dinucleotide. The rate of hydrolysis is independent of a terminal phosphate group. The substrate lacking a 5'-phosphoryl group is degraded to leave the 5'-terminus and the penultimate nucleotide (NpN) as a core. The substrate possessing a 3'-phosphoryl group is degraded to leave the mononucleoside 5',3'-diphosphates (pNp). However, NpN and pNp are gradually degraded by a large dose of the enzyme to produce a 5'-mononucleotide. The enzyme is free from nonspecific phosphatase and phosphodiesterase activities. Application of this enzyme to determine the sequence of oligonucleotides is shown.  相似文献

We have presented a strain-sensing device in microscale by using surface plasmon polaritons and multimode interference effects. The device is numerically investigated by the finite-difference time-domain method. Optimum depths and length of the structure are designed for sensing a strain. The size of the designed structure is several micrometers and is about a thousandth compared with a fiber Bragg grating strain sensor. The sensitivity of the designed structure is 11.34 pm/μ?? that is about ten times larger than that of a fiber Bragg grating strain sensor. The temperature sensitivity of the designed structure is 34.43 pm/ °C. This temperature sensitivity is three times larger than that of a fiber Bragg grating strain sensor. Therefore, temperature compensation techniques are needed for the structure. The presented structure has a simple design such as a plasmonic waveguide with a trench structure. The simple structural design device has a capability of being used in micro- and nano-electromechanical systems.  相似文献

The acetylcholinesterase activity of the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, was characterized biochemically. The activity is associated with a glycoprotein which is divided between a detergent-extractable membrane-bound fraction and a soluble fraction. The acetylcholinesterase activity is concentrated in the head of the insect. Through pharmacological methods, greater than 95% of the cholinesterase is judged to be true acetylcholinesterase, and not pseudocholinesterase. As expected for an acetylcholinesterase, the enzyme has a high affinity for acetylthiocholine and is inhibited by excess concentrations of acetylthiocholine. The soluble enzyme is found predominantly as a 7.8 S form; a smaller amount of an approximately 6 S form is also present, and a greater than or equal to 14 S form may exist. The detergent-solubilized acetylcholinesterase has a sedimentation coefficient of 7.5 S in the presence of detergent. The thermal inactivation rates for the soluble and the membrane bound enzymes are markedly different.  相似文献

This article describes a method for determining whether a particular nucleic acid sequence is present in a sample and for discriminating between any two nucleic acid sequences if such sequences differ only by a single nucleotide. The method entails extension of a novel two-component primer on templates that may or may not include a target nucleic acid sequence. The 3′ portion of the primer is complementary to a portion of the template adjacent to the target sequence (for example, the polymorphic nucleotide). The 5′ portion of the primer is complementary to a different preselected nucleic acid sequence. Extension of the 3′ portion of the primer with a labeled deoxynucleoside triphosphate yields a labeled extension product, but only if the template includes the target sequence. The presence of such a labeled primer-extension product is detected by hybridization of the 5′ portion to the preselected sequence. The preselected sequence is immobilized on a solid support. The method has been applied to genotyping individuals for the two-allele polymorphism of the human tyrosinase gene.  相似文献

This study aimed to predict the distribution of bone trabeculae, as a density change per unit time, around a dental implant based on applying a selected mathematical remodelling model. The apparent bone density change as a function of the mechanical stimulus was the base of the applied remodelling model that describes disuse and overload bone resorption. The simulation was tested in a finite element model of a screw-shaped dental implant in an idealised bone segment. The sensitivity of the simulation to different mechanical parameters was investigated; these included element edge length, boundary conditions, as well as direction and magnitude of the implant loads. The alteration in the mechanical parameters had a significant influence on density distribution and model stability, in particular at the cortical bone region. The remodelling model could succeed to achieve trabeculae-like structure around osseointegrated dental implants. The validation of this model to a real clinical case is required.  相似文献
