A bacterial strain isolated from an air sample, strain 5317J-19(T), was characterized. The isolate was an aerobic, motile, Gram-positive rod. The organism was able to grow between 4 and 35°C and between pH 6 and 9. The predominant fatty acids were anteiso-C(15:0) and iso-C(16:0). The major respiratory menaquinones were MK-12 and MK-11, and the minor ones were MK13, MK-10, and MK-9. Genomic DNA G+C content was 66 mol%. The diagnostic diamino acid of the peptidoglycan is presumably D-Orn. The peptidoglycan is supposed to be B2β type. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that this isolate belongs to the family Microbacteriaceae and had the highest sequence similarities with Salinibacterium xinjiangense 0543(T) (97.6%), Salinibacterium amurskyense KMM 3673(T) (97.2%), and Leifsonia bigeumensis MSL-27(T) (97.2%). Phylogenetic analysis and phenotypic characteristics support the proposal of a new genus and a novel species, with the name Homoserinimonas aerilata gen. nov., sp. nov. The type strain of Homoserinimonas aerilata is 5317J-19(T) (=KACC 15522(T) =NBRC 108729(T)).  相似文献

A strain of Streptomyces, MBRL 179T, isolated from a sample from a Limestone quarry located at Hundung, Manipur, India, was characterized by polyphasic taxonomy. The strain formed a monophyletic clade with Streptomyces spinoverrucosus NBRC 14228T (16S rRNA gene sequence similarity of 99.3 %) in the Neighbour-joining tree. DNA–DNA hybridization experiment gave a DNA–DNA relatedness value of 34.7 % between MBRL 179T and S. spinoverrucosus NBRC 14228T. Strain MBRL 179T contained LL-diaminopimelic acid, xylose, glucose, and mannose in the whole cell-wall hydrolysates along with small amount of ribose. The major polar lipids detected were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylinositolmannoside, with other unknown phospholipids and aminophospholipid. MK-9(H6), MK-9(H8) and MK-9(H4) were the predominant menaquinones detected. The major fatty acids were anteiso-C16:0 (28.1 %), iso-C16:0 (20.3 %), C16:0 (9.4 %) and anteiso-C17:0 (8.3 %). The G+C content of the genomic DNA was 71.1 %. Based on the polyphasic experiment results, the strain MBRL 179T merits recognition as a representative of a novel species of the genus Streptomyces for which the name Streptomyces muensis sp. nov. is proposed; the type strain is MBRL 179T (=JCM 17576T = KCTC 29124T).  相似文献

Hundung Limestone habitat, Manipur, India is an unexplored site for microbial diversity studies. Using polyphasic taxonomy, a Streptomyces strain, MBRL 172T, has been characterized. The strain was found to show highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Streptomyces coeruleofuscus NBRC 12757T (99.2 %). The DNA relatedness between MBRL 172T and S. coeruleofuscus NBRC 12757T, and between MBRL 172T and Streptomyces nogalater NBRC 13445T, were 36.8 ± 4.4 and 52.5 ± 2.7 %, respectively. Strain MBRL 172T was found to contain ll-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid and glucose, mannose and xylose as the major sugars in whole cell hydrolysates. The polar lipids in the cell membrane were identified as diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylinositolmannoside. The predominant menaquinones detected were MK-9(H6) and MK-9(H8). The cellular fatty acids identified were mainly saturated fatty acids: anteiso-C15:0, iso-C16:0 and iso-C15:0. Based on differences in the biochemical and molecular characteristics from its closest relatives, the strain can be proposed to represent a novel taxon in the genus Streptomyces, for which the name Streptomyces canchipurensis is proposed, with the type strain MBRL 172T (=JCM 17575T = KCTC 29105T).  相似文献

Two Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterial strains, H101(T) and H207, were isolated from deep sea water collected from South-West Indian Ocean. Phylogenetic analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that the two strains were closely related to one another (100% similarity), and had the closest relationship with Microbacterium hominis NBRC 15708(T) and Microbacterium insulae KCTC 19247(T) (98.2-98.3% similarities). DNA-DNA hybridization value between strains H101(T) and H207 was 87.2 ± 3.7%, and the values between the two strains and the closely related type strains were well below 70%. The two strains also shared a number of physiological and biochemical characteristics that were distinct from the closely related species, and grew at 2-37 ° C, pH 5-11 and 0-8% (w/v) NaCl. Both strains contained MK-12, MK-13 and MK-11 as the detected menaquinones. The peptidoglycan was of type B1γ with an interpeptide bridge D-Glu(Hyg)→ Gly(2)→ l-Lys. The major cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C(15:0), anteiso-C(17:0), and iso-C(16:0). Based on the genetic and phenotypic properties, it is proposed that strains H101(T) and H207 be classified as representatives of a novel species of the genus Microbacterium, with the name Microbacterium marinum sp. nov. The type strain is H101(T) (= CGMCC 4.6941(T) = DSM 24947(T)).  相似文献

An alkaliphilic actinobacterium, designated EGI 80050T, was isolated from a desert soil sample of Xinjiang, north-west China, and characterized by a polyphasic approach. The isolate was observed to produce purple orange-yellow aerial mycelium and dark orange-yellow substrate mycelium on yeast extract-malt extract agar medium. Whole-cell hydrolysates of strain EGI 80050T were found to contain ll-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid, and galactose, glucose, rhamnose and mannose as the main sugars. The major fatty acids identified were C16:0-iso (36.8 %), C15:0-anteiso (17.3 %), 15:0-iso (13.2 %) and 14:0-iso (10.5 %). The predominant menaquinones detected were MK-9(H6) and MK-9(H8), while the characteristic polar lipids were identified as diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylinositol mannosides, phosphatidylmethylethanolamine and three unknown phospholipids. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was determined to be 67.9 mol%. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences affiliated the strain EGI 80050T to the genus Streptomyces. Levels of 16 rRNA gene sequence similarities between strain EGI 80050T and Streptomyces candidus NRRL ISP-5141T, Streptomyces cremeus NBRC 12760T, Streptomyces spiroverticillatus NBRC 12821T, Streptomyces violaceorectus NBRC 13102T, Streptomyces cinereoruber subsp. cinereoruber NBRC 12756T were 96.7, 96.6, 96.6, 96.6 and 96.6 %, respectively. Based on the phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic data, strain EGI 80050T is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Streptomyces, for which the name Streptomyces fukangensis sp. nov. (type strain EGI 80050T = BCRC 16945T = JCM 19127T) is proposed.  相似文献

Strain BS6(T), a Gram-positive non-motile bacterium, was isolated from soil in South Korea and characterized to determine its taxonomic position. Phylogenetic analyses based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that strain BS6T belonged to the family Propionibacteriaceae in the class Actinobacteria. Strain BS6(T) showed the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Microlunatus soli CC-012602(T) (98.6%) and high sequence similarities with Microlunatus species (94.5-98.6%). Chemotaxonomic data revealed that the predominant fatty acids were anteiso-C(17:0), anteiso-C(15:0), summed feature 8 (C(18:1) ω7c/ω6c), and iso-C(16:0). The cell wall peptidoglycan contained (LL)-diaminopimelic acid, and the major polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, and phosphatidylglycerol. Based on these data, BS6(T) (=KCTC 19858(T) =JCM 17661(T) =CCARM 9244(T) =KEMC 9004-079(T)) should be classified as a type strain of a novel species, for which the name Microlunatus terrae sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

A gram-positive bacterium, strain K-540B(T), which was separated from a mixed culture isolated from compost, was subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic study. Strain K-540B(T) was found to have 95.5%-98.7% sequence similarity with the genus Leucobacter based on 16S rRNA gene sequence analyis. Phenotypic and chemical properties of strain K-540B(T) were consistent with its classification in the genus Leucobacter. The major quinone system compound was MK-11 and major fatty acids were anteiso-C(15:0) and iso-C(16:0). Polar lipids included phosphatidylglycerol and diphosphatidylglycerol. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was 64.9 mol%. The cell wall peptidoglycan contained diaminobutyric acid and γ-aminobutyric acid. DNA-DNA hybridization results and physiological tests genotypically and phenotypically differentiated strain K-540B(T) from other Leucobacter species. Based on these results, strain K-540B(T) (=NBRC 106062(T)=DSM 22850(T)), for which the name Leucobacter exalbidus sp. nov. is proposed, represents a novel species of the genus Leucobacter.  相似文献

Three actinobacteria strains isolated from a green biofilm covering the biodeteriorated interior walls of Vilar de Frades Church (Portugal) were studied using a polyphasic approach. The three strains were aerobic, non-spore forming and Gram-positive. Phylogenetically, the most closely related described species was Rubrobacter radiotolerans (94.2-94.3% and 81.9-82.5% similarities for the 16S rRNA and rpoB gene sequences, respectively). The fatty acid profile was dominated by anteiso-C(17:1) ω9c, and MK-8 was the only menaquinone present. These data clearly showed that the three strains could represent a new species, for which we propose the name Rubrobacter bracarensis sp. nov., with strain VF70612_S1(T) (=CECT 7924=DSMZ 24908) as the type strain.  相似文献

Two Gram-positive bacteria, designated strains Aji5-31(T) and Ngc37-23(T), were isolated from the intestinal tracts of fishes. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that both strains were related to the members of the family Dermatophilaceae, with 95.6-96.9% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities. The family Dermatophilaceae contains 2 genera and 3 species: Dermatophilus congolensis, Dermatophilus chelonae and Kineosphaera limosa. However, it has been suggested that the taxonomic position of D. chelonae should be reinvestigated using a polyphasic approach, because the chemotaxonomic characteristics are not known (Stackebrandt, 2006; Stackebrandt and Schumann, 2000). Our present study revealed that strains Aji5-31(T), Ngc37-23(T) and D. chelonae NBRC 105200(T) should be separated from the other members of the family Dermatophilaceae on the basis of the following characteristics: the predominant menaquinone of strain Aji5-31(T) is MK-8(H(2)), strain Ngc37-23(T) possesses iso- branched fatty acids as major components, and the menaquinone composition of D. chelonae is MK-8(H(4)), MK-8 and MK-8(H(2)) (5 : 3 : 2, respectively). On the basis of these distinctive phenotypic characteristics and phylogenetic analysis results, it is proposed that strains Aji5-31(T) and Ngc37-23(T) be classified as two novel genera and species of the family Dermatophilaceae. The names are Mobilicoccus pelagius gen. nov., sp. nov. and Piscicoccus intestinalis gen. nov., sp. nov., and the type strains are Aji5-31(T) (=NBRC 104925(T) =DSM 22762(T)) and Ngc37-23(T) (=NBRC 104926(T) =DSM 22761(T)), respectively. In addition, D. chelonae should be reassigned to a new genus of the family Dermatophilaceae with the name Austwickia chelonae gen. nov., comb. nov.  相似文献

A Gram-positive, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium strain NIO-1018(T) isolated from a mangrove sediment sample of the Chorao Island, Goa, India, was subjected to a detailed polyphasic taxonomic study. The strain designated as NIO-1018(T) matched with most of the phenotypic and chemotaxonomic properties of the genus Agromyces and represents a novel species. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain NIO-1018(T) fell within the cluster comprising species of the genus Agromyces, clustering with Agromyces soli (98.1 %), Agromyces flavus (97.9 %), Agromyces aurantiacus (97.7 %) and Agromyces ulmi (97.3 %). The predominant menaquinone was MK-12, and the major cellular fatty acids were anteiso-C(15:0), iso-C(16:0), anteiso-C(17:0) and iso-C(15:0). The polar lipids consisted of diphosphatidylglycerol and phosphatidylglycerol. The genomic DNA G+C content of strain NIO-1018(T) was 71.8 mol%. The combination of phylogenetic analysis, DNA-DNA relatedness, phenotypic characteristics and chemotaxonomic data supported the view that strain NIO-1018(T) represents a novel species of the genus Agromyces, for which the name Agromyces indicus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is NIO-1018 (=JCM 17573(T) = CCTCC AB2011122(T)).  相似文献

An actinomycete strain, which was designated 172115T, was isolated from mangrove soil in Shenzhen, China. Strain 172115T fell within the genus Streptomyces in the 16S rRNA gene tree and could be grouped into this genus based on its chemotaxonomic and morphological data. The strain shared the highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities with Streptomyces lanatus NBRC 12787T (AB184845) (98.29%) and Streptomyces lucensis NBRC 13056T (AB184280) (98.26%). The DNA–DNA hybridization values between strain 172115T and the two most closely related type strains were low enough to justify the assignment of the strain to a novel species. On the basis of these phenotypic, phylogenetic and chemotaxonomic characteristics, 172115T represents a novel species of the genus Streptomyces, for which, the name Streptomyces shenzhenensis sp. nov. is proposed for strain 172115T (=CCTCC AA 2011001T=DSM 42034T).  相似文献

A Gram-positive, aerobic, rod-shaped, nonmotile, endospore-forming bacterium, designated Gsoil 349T, was isolated from soil of a ginseng field and characterized using a polyphasic approach. Comparative analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that the strain Gsoil 349T belongs to the family Paenibacillaceae, and the sequence showed closest similarity with Cohnella thermotolerans DSM 17683T (94.1%) and Cohnella hongkongensis DSM 17642T (93.6%). The strain showed less than 91.3% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity with Paenibacillus species. In addition, the presence of MK-7 as the major menaquinone and anteiso-C(15:0), iso-C(16:0), and C(16:0) as major fatty acids suggested its affiliation to the genus Cohnella. The G+C content of the genomic DNA was 53.4 mol%. On the basis of its phenotypic characteristics and phylogenetic distinctiveness, strain Gsoil 349T should be treated as a novel species within the genus Cohnella for which the name Cohnella panacarvi sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is Gsoil 349T (=KCTC 13060T = DSM 18696T).  相似文献

An aerobic, non-motile, Gram-stain positive actinomycete, designated strain CA3R110T, was isolated from the surface-sterilised root of Coffea arabica L. collected from Lampang Province, Thailand. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that strain CA3R110T was a member of the genus Streptomyces and showed the closest similarities to Streptomyces buecherae AC541T (99.2%), followed by Streptomyces rapamycinicus NRRL B-5491T (99.1%), Streptomyces luteoverticillatus NBRC 3840T (99.1%), Streptomyces coerulescens NBRC 12758T (99.1%), and Streptomyces iranensis HM 35T (99.0%). Strain CA3R110T contained LL-diaminopimelic acid in cell peptidoglycan, MK-9(H6), and MK-9(H8) as major menaquinone, iso-C16:0, iso-C15:0, C16:0 as major fatty acids. Diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, hydroxy-phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, phosphatidylinositolmannoside were detected in the cell. The chemotaxonomic characteristics possessed the typical properties of the genus Streptomyces. A low digital DNA–DNA hybridization (<?55.7%) and average nucleotide identity-blast (ANIb) (<?92.2%) values revealed that strain CA3R110T could be distinguished from any known Streptomyces species. With the differences in phenotypic and genotypic data, strain CA3R110T represents a novel species of genus Streptomyces, for which the name Streptomyces endocoffeicus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is CA3R110T (=?TBRC 11245T?=?NBRC 114296T).

A mesophilic, facultative, anaerobic, xylanolytic-cellulolytic bacterium, TW1(T), was isolated from sludge in an anaerobic digester fed with pineapple waste. Cells stained Gram-positive, were spore-forming, and had the morphology of straight to slightly curved rods. Growth was observed in the temperature range of 30 to 50°C (optimum 37°C) and the pH range of 6.0 to 7.5 (optimum pH 7.0) under aerobic and anaerobic conditions. The strain contained meso-diaminopimelic acid in the cell-wall peptidoglycan. The predominant isoprenoid quinone was menaquinone with seven isoprene units (MK-7). Anteiso-C(15:0), iso-C(16:0), anteiso-C(17:0), and C(16:0) were the predominant cellular fatty acids. The G+C content of the DNA was 49.5 mol%. A phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA showed that strain TW1(T) belonged within the genus Paenibacillus and was closely related to Paenibacillus cellulosilyticus LMG 22232(T), P. curdlanolyticus KCTC 3759(T), and P. kobensis KCTC 3761(T) with 97.7, 97.5, and 97.3% sequence similarity, respectively. The DNA-DNA hybridization values between the isolate and type strains of P. cellulosilyticus LMG 22232(T), P. curdlanolyticus KCTC 3759(T), and P. kobensis KCTC 3761(T) were found to be 18.6, 18.3, and 18.0%, respectively. The protein and xylanase patterns of strain TW1(T) were quite different from those of the type strains of closely related Paenibacillus species. On the basis of DNA-DNA relatedness and phenotypic analyses, phylogenetic data and the enzymatic pattern presented in this study, strain TW1(T) should be classified as a novel species of the genus Paenibacillus, for which the name Paenibacillus xylaniclasticus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is TW1(T) (=NBRC 106381(T) =KCTC 13719(T) =TISTR 1914(T)).  相似文献

During a screening for novel and useful actinobacteria in desert animal, a new actinomycete was isolated and designated strain TRM63209T. The strain was isolated from in vivo of a Blattella germanica in Tarim University in Alar City, Xinjiang, north-west China. The strain was found to exhibit an inhibitory effect on biofilm formation by Candida albicans ATCC 18,804. The strain was observed to form abundant aerial mycelium, occasionally twisted and which differentiated into spiral spore chains. Spores of TRM63209T were observed to be oval-shaped, with a smooth surface. Strain TRM63209T was found to grow optimally at 28 °C, pH 8 and in the presence of 1% (w/v) NaCl. The whole-cell sugars of strain TRM63209T were rhamnose ribose, xylose, mannose, galactose and glucose, and the principal polarlipids were found to be diphosphatidylglycerol, phos-phatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylinositol mannoside, phosphatidylinositol and an unknown phospholipid(L). The diagnostic cell wall amino acid was identified as LL-diaminopimelic acid. The predominant menaquinone was found to be MK-9(H6) (14.64%), MK-9(H2) (19.65%), MK-9(H8) (22.34%), MK-10(H2) (25.37%). The major cellular fatty acids were identified as iso-C16:0, 16:0, anteiso-C15:0, anteiso-C17:0, iso-C15:0 and Sum in Feature 3. Analysis of the 16S rRNA sequence showed that strain TRM63209T exhibits high sequence similarity to Streptomyces bungoensis strain DSM 41781T 98.20%. A multi-locus sequence analysis of five house-keeping genes (atpD, gyrB, rpoB, recA and trpB) and phylogenomic analysis also illustrated that strain TRM63209T should be assigned to the genus Streptomyces. The DNA G?+?C content of the strain was determined to be 70.2 mol%. Average nucleotide identity (ANI) between strain TRM63209T and S. bungoensis DSM 41781T, Streptomyces phyllanthi PA1-07T, Streptomyces longwoodensis DSM 41677T and Streptomyces caeruleatus NRRL B-24802T were 82.76%, 82.54%, 82.65%, 84.02%, respectively. Digtal DNA-DNA (dDDH) hybridization were 26.30%, 25.10%, 26.20%, 29.50%, respectively. Therefore, it is concluded that strain TRM63209T represents a novel species of the genus Streptomyces, for which the name Streptomyces blattelae is proposed. The type strain is TRM63209T (CCTCC AA 2018093T?=?LMG 31,403?=?TRM63209T).

Two bacterial isolates from soil samples taken in Korea, strains YM2-7T and WD2-19T, were characterized using a polyphasic approach. The cells were strictly aerobic, Gram-positive, motile with peritrichous flagella, and rod-shaped. Both strains formed ellipsoidal bulging positioned subterminal spores. Phylogenetic analysis of their 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed a clear affiliation with the Firmicutes. The 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity between YM2-7T and WD2-19T was 96.5%. Strains YM2-7T and WD2-19T showed 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities of 93.0–96.5% to type strains of recognized Cohnella species. The G+C contents of the DNA of strains YM2-7T and WD2-19T were 52.2 and 55.6 mol%, respectively. The major fatty acids of strains YM2-7T and WD2-19T were anteiso-C15:0 (44.4%), C16:0 (19.2%), and iso-C16:0 (16.8%) and anteiso-C15:0 (46.5%), iso-C16:0 (21.8%), and C16:0 (11.2%), respectively. Both strains contained menaquinone with seven isoprene units (MK-7) as the predominant quinone. Both strains had diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine and lysophosphatidylglycerol as the major polar lipids. Comparative analysis of phenotypic and phylogenetic traits indicated that strains YM2-7T and WD2-19T represented two novel species of the genus Cohnella. The names Cohnella soli sp. nov. (type strain YM2-7T =KACC 13346T =NBRC 106486T), and Cohnella suwonensis sp. nov. (type strain WD2-19T =KACC 13347T =NBRC 106485T) are proposed for these organisms.  相似文献

A novel Gram-stain positive, spore-forming, aerobic actinomycete, designated strain NEAU-QTH3-11T, was isolated from muddy soil collected from a stream in Qitaihe, Heilongjiang Province, northeast China and characterised using a polyphasic approach. The 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis showed that strain NEAU-QTH3-11T belongs to the genus Streptomyces and is closely related to Streptomyces rhizosphaerihabitans NBRC 109807T (99.38%) and Streptomyces mirabilis JCM 4791T (99.03%). Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that the strain formed a cluster with S. rhizosphaerihabitans NBRC 109807T and Streptomyces siamensis NBRC 108799T (98.62%). The menaquinones were identified as MK-9(H8), MK-9(H6) and MK-9(H4). The phospholipid profile was found to consist of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylinositol, an unidentified phospholipid and an unidentified lipid. The major fatty acids were identified as anteiso-C15:0, iso-C16:0, C16:0 and C15:0. However, multilocus sequence analysis based on five house-keeping genes (atpD, gyrB, rpoB, recA and trpB), low DNA-DNA hybridization results and some phenotypic, physiological and biochemical properties could differentiate the strain from its close relatives in the genus Streptomyces. Therefore, strain NEAU-QTH3-11T is considered to represent a novel species of the genus Streptomyces, for which the name Streptomyces lutosisoli sp. nov. is proposed, with NEAU-QTH3-11T (=DSM 42165T=CGMCC 4.7198T) as the type strain.  相似文献
