Abstract: | The administration of the interferone inducer, polyriboinosinic.polyribocytidylic acid, inhibited the rise of activities of thymidylate synthase and thymidine kinase as well as DNA content in 24 h-regenerating rat liver in a dose dependent manner. The immunoblotting assay showed that the decrease of thymidylate synthase activity was due to inhibition of the induction of the enzyme. Co-administration of putrescine did not affect the inhibitory effect of polyriboinosinic.polyribocytidylic acid. Polyriboinosinic acid did not affect DNA synthesis in rat liver regeneration. |
