| Abstract: | Summary Double mutants containing the radiosensitive alleles uxsl (UVR-EXR-) and either uvsl-2 or uvsl 9-2 (both UVR-EXR+) have been constructed. We find that these double mutants are extremely sensitive to UV: their LD37 doses are 0.3–0.5 ergs/mm2 as compared to 16–40 ergs/mm2 for the radiosensitive parental strains carrying only a single mutant gene and 456 ergs/mm2 for wild-type. |
