| Abstract: | Laminarin blocks potato immune responses by inhibiting the reaction of oversensitivity, formation of phytoalexins, wound repair, and the activity of proteinase inhibitors. It was found that laminarin exhibits antielicitor activity. Addition of salicylic acid to laminarin enhances its immunosuppressing effect, which becomes systemic. |
