Abstract: | Microfilamentous nuclear inculsions have been found at the ultrastructural level in the posterior epithelium of the rat pituitary cleft. They appear strictly located in ciliate cells of this epithelium. The microfilaments (7-8 nm in diameter) are gathered as a bundle. Their length is up to several microns and their average diameter is 0,35 micron. They can only be observed in adult rats. |
