| Abstract: | In azuki bean epicotyl sections, 2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile inhibitedcellulose synthesis but showed no effect on the synthesis ofnon-cellulose wall materials and trichloroacetic-acid-insolublecytoplasmic substances. Dichlorobenzonitrile reversed gibberellinpromotion and kinetin inhibition of auxin-induced epicotyl elongationwithout affecting auxin-induced elongation, itself. (Received August 17, 1973; ) |
