| Abstract: | A low-resolution model for the lac repressor is proposed from small-angle neutron studies on the native protein as well as on its isolated tryptic core and the 51 amino acids N-terminal peptide (headpiece). The implications for the interaction with the lac operator DNA are discussed. |
