Abstract: | Tubular inclusions in dilated cisternae of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) were found in healthy and virus diseased pennycress (Thlaspi arvense L., Cruciferae). The dilated cisternae were encountered more often in virus-infected cells than in comparable cells from healthy control plants. Dilated ER cisternae were found in vascular parenchyma cells and were shown to be interconnected. The tubules measured 30 nm in diam and cisternae that contain them may be more than 10 μm in length. |
